Pizzeria Amici in Wiltshire

What a treat! Staying locally we popped by for takeaway pizzas. Just delicious. Hand made with a thin crust and generous traditional toppings. Sometimes hard to find authentic pizzas - here they are!!

Parking challenging but so worth going. We stopped here while travelling from Bath to Devizes and am so pleased we did. We called ahead to book and the person who answered was so welcoming and helpful. This was the start of a lovely friendly invitation into the little restaurant, which was full of atmosphere and delicious aromas. We opted for pizzas but the menu had a range of tempting Italian specialities. Our choices were all scrummy and all served by a group of genuinely caring people. I just wish we lived closer. We would be in or ordering take away most weeks! I also need to mention what good value it was. £47 for 3 pizzas, a salad and drinks. Well done to the family who clearly work very hard and have really got it right. ❤️

A little gem of a pizza place! We had travelled from Leeds, West Yorkshire to Bradford on Avon on Friday 2nd Feb, after calling in to see family before the big wedding day on Saturday we were feeling the long journey and hungry! After dropping off our bags we headed to find something to eat, and stumbled upon Pizzeria Amici, only wanting to out our comfies on and sit with a takeaway we asked if we could take a pizza out. To our delight you could either dine in or takeaway! The menu was simple but plentiful, we chose a Parma ham and black olives pizza. WOW! If we could have gone back and eaten 5 more we would have. The base was stone baked, thin and crispy letting you concentrate on the delicious toppings! A definite winner and we look forward to visiting again the next time we travel to see family. Simply the best pizza available. Service is always good as is the food. There's a reason the locals keep coming back here.

When I saw the menu on the wall with a selection of a long list of pizzas to choose from I already suspected that these people can cook. Tuscan style, family-owned restaurant, the sautéed prawn dish, the beef lasagna and the salad we tried were all beautifully flavoured, presented with care, satisfying and very tasty. I recommend the lemonade and the espresso, too. We were full to our ears. The owner is really nice, the place is cozy and feels authentic. Will definitely come back here.

I have taken my children to this restaurant a couple of times on a busy friday evening 5 &9 years old and the staff have been so wonderful and accommodating, always going the extra mile. Ivano is the owner and is lovely, along with the waiter Jamie. The pizzas are the best iv tasted outside of Italy and the flour used to make them is imported from Italy which means for people who have gluten sensitivity (like me) they are much easier on the stomach. I would recommend this place but definitely booking in advance on week. its smalll cosy and cute and clean.

Well worth seeking out this delightfully hospitable restaurant. Specials board made decision making tough, very popular with the locals it seems (which is always a good sign). Just a shame it was our last night here!!

Traditional Italian on the main high street. We saw this walking past and thought let’s grab a takeaway pizza as the weather was beautiful that’s day. Really well price and tastes just like I remember they did when I travelled to Italy. Highly Recommended!

Just had a random meal out to mark the last night of a short holiday, chose this Italian pizza place as we've been meaning to try it for a while. It was really special. The calamari starter for two was fantastic, really crisply fried batter with a gorgeously dressed salad and mayo dip. G then had a pizza and I asked if they would do a calzone - no problem, any pizza could be done as a calzone. Both the pizza and calzone were fabulous, crisply finished, with out any hint of being over done. Everything freshly made on the premises, big bags of flour in the shop rather made the point, with genuine Italian owners running it. All in all, a five star experience, really friendly, we had a long chat with Ivano, the owner, who was a delight to talk with. Will definitely be going back again.

Takeaway was a real treat ...the lasagne was so delicious and tasty...quite the best I've had in ages.Will definitely have it again.Nice of you to do half and half pizza for us.Pick up went well.

We love thier pizzas, great tomato sauce on a lovely base, and then there is the topping. Very generous. The Tuscan ribs are v.good too with a good salad.

We were on Bradford on Avon on Thursday night and we dined at Amici pizzeria. We found a warm atmosphere in this cozy little restaurant and a good pizza. The owner of the place is truly Italian and we had a nice chat.

I don't want to tell you how good this restaurant is because they have very few tables and I want to be able to get one the next time I go. Authentic Italian food cooked with love and served with chutzpah.. If you only go to one restaurant in Bradford-on-Avon, it must be Amici!

Parking is tricky and access isn’t great but this is a great little restaurant. Small - so book. Really good pizzas but for me the pasta dishes are even better. Particularly the lasagna. Some of the off menu/specials are really, really good. I like Perroni, but more than one beer available would be good. How about Perroni Gran Riserva?

On a cold wet night we found this place for dinner. Nothing flash about it. Does a lot of takeaway trade and I can see why it's so popular. We were really well looked after and the sharing cheese platter was huge and delicious. So much so that we took most of our pizza back to our hotel. Great value for money. Would gladly return but order less food as the portions were big.

Do not ignore this gem. There are bigger eateries in Bradford-on-Avon but this is a place worth booking. Small, inconspicuous but food to sink into.

An evening family meal had been organised at this lovely family orientated welcoming venue.It was my first visit and i can say without reservation that im looking forward to my next visit.The goats cheese risotto was excellent as was the rosemary bread and the waffles. Othethewaffles...

This place is amazing. The pizza bases are tasty, the toppings are varied. My favourite is the Alberto which is an amazing invention. For a small town, having pizza this good in it is a privilege.

This was one of the nicest pizzas I have ever had. I went in the evening and the restaurant has a very nice interior at this time- the candles make a lovely, warm atmosphere. Staff were friendly. However very much on the expensive side and is very small so maybe not ideal for a big group meal.

One of Bradford on Avon’s best. The authentic ingredients make proper Italian food, great atmosphere, really rustic and original. The owner loves his customers and they all love him. Bravissimo.

Revisited with friends - not disappointed! Food, wine and service all excellent again. Its got a great atmosphere and the pizzas are amazing! I had the lasagne which was massive and sooo tasty!I was unsure about ordering tiramisu as it rarely lives up to expectation - but the owner challenged me to order it and he would give it to me for free if I didn't love it!I paid for my dessert .... it was delicious!

We love this place, it really stands out. It’s consistent, authentic and original. Parking can be a problem but don’t let that put you off. When it’s full the atmosphere will grip you.

Went here for a meal while staying in Bradford on Avon. We both had pizza although there were many other Italian dishes. Beautifully cooked with great side salad. The atmosphere was very friendly and the place was quite busy especially for early evening. Highly recommended.

We are blessed with Italian food in BoA at the moment but do not ignore the oldest and smallest but also the best food and value. Squeeze yourself in and enjoy the atmosphere as this is a little gem

Lovely evening, Long day at work, to tired to cook, I took my lovely Lady and myself, just dropped in and was welcomed in with open arms.

Excellent pizza & Wine! We ate here 2 out of the 5 days we were in BOA. The service from the owner and staff was warm and welcoming. The salad hit the spot for me, lots of good healthy flavour. We had a plain pizza with just cheese and one with Carmelites onions etc...both were very good. Highly recommend.

How lucky are we to have this place on our doorstep. It's consistently good, authentic and has such a lovely atmosphere. Staff are good and the owner a wonderful host. Rome has the Colosseum, we have Pizzeria Amici! I know what we'd rather have!

So I've delayed the writing of this review by a few weeks as I didn't want to get my server in trouble. I've been to this restaurant quite a few times and as regards the food and the service I can't fault it, however on my last visit as I came to pay the bill I enquired if they got to keep the tips that I added to my card payment. They nervously replied no and went on to say that they don't even get to keep cash that's left as a tip for them. I understand that this is becoming more widespread throughout the UK, but when people leave their hard earned money too say thank you for a job well done I'm sure they would be furious and feel cheated that it's going to line the pocket of this greedy owner

Eat here for 3 and also had takeaway next day for 5. Cannot recommend highly enough. Ivano runs a professional operation, all young staff friendly and attentive . Food is excellent and atmosphere unpretentious and relaxed. A very fine experience.

Four takeaway pizzas - all excellent. The goats cheese and pine nut with rocket and pepperoni and jalapeño being the favourites. Quick service and friendly staff. The restaurant looks cosy and the menu interesting. Best pizza around.

As somebody that travels a lot with work I can easily get sick of hotel food. Tonight I started to look for something different in Bradford on Avon, and stumbled across Pizzeria Amici. Having read some of the other reviews I thought it would be too busy to accommodate single diners, so I opted for take out. To describe the place as good would be unfair. The quality of the food is outstanding, and I can honestly say that this is the best Pizza I have had outside of Italy. If you want traditional pizza it is clear that Pizzeria Amici is going to every length possible to bring this to England. This clearly comes down to one thing, sourcing the best quality ingredients. I would imagine much of what is used by this restaurant is imported directly from Italy, and it shows. As somebody that works in Wiltshire frequently I fully intend to return, however next time I will undoubtedly eat in. This really is a hidden gem. Whether you live locally, are in town as a tourist or are simply passing through, then I cannot recommend this place highly enough...

We went here for a family party, and had the best time. No frills decor belies real, authentic Italian cookery with a wonderful, warm and friendly atmosphere. Highly enjoyable and we'll definitely be going there again.

16 family members ranging from 7-78 sat down to enjoy pizza and pasta. We were a chatty group, enjoying the informal and friendly setting. Thank you Amici for dealing with us so efficiently and serving great food.

We visited as part of a large family group and for me, Pizzeria Amici was a highlight of my holiday to the area. The ambience is relaxed, staff attentive and friendly and the food is excellent. This is one of those gems that deserves an award. I would visit Bradford on Avon again just to come for dinner at this place.

Walking round the town we spotted the restaurant tucked away - it's not obvious. When we eventually decided to eat out we called and managed to squeeze in a booking.

The restaurant was empty when we arrived but other diners soon joined us. The first impression was that they had just had a delivery òf stock, but on reflection I think this was a permanent feature with a huge pile of bags of flour facing you as you entered, also a pile of packets of coffee on the counter, and I've never seen so many pizza boxes piled nearly to the ceiling. Not a good look. The owner was accommodating and the waitress was very good. My risotto was very good, although the accompanying rocket on top was a bit too much. My husband's pizza had rather too much ham and was burnt.

Had great pizza in a quiet evening. Talked with the owner who shared wirh us knowledge if the area. Short walk in town.

Super food and servers. Really authentic Italian food, proper wood fired pizza oven. Lovely unhurried evening.

Visited early evening on a weekend and while tables were reserved they accommodated and served us efficiently without feeling rushed. Pizzas were good - can understand why it is so popular.

Had evening meal. The service was great, the atmosphere fabulous and the food very authentic. Loved it.

Managed to squeeze in our party of 3 adults and 1 child early last Saturday evening. The restaurant is like stepping into little Italy & the food was delicious. I can especially recommend the cheesy garlic bread as a starter. All the staff were very welcoming. Will definitely be back. Keep up the good work Pizzeria Amici. There a lots of great places to eat in Bradford on Avon but this is one of my new favourites!

Great small and authentic pizzeria. Welcoming and friendly service. Pizzas where really yummy. Overall a bit expensive for a pizza dinner but it was worth it.

As locals living in Bradford on Avon we have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed. They serve delicious pizzas in a cosy little restaurant. Doesn't look much from the outside but it is a hidden little gem inside. Service ambiance and food are top notch.

We visited during a weekend away and found this place welcoming with a good down to earth atmosphere! A good large menu available and both our courses were delicious and very good value for money. Basic inside but has an authentic charm and great to meet the owner and chef especially as my other half used to live in Italy. The staff were efficient and friendly and we would highly recommend if you want good Italian food in a nice relaxed atmosphere. We will be back most definitely!

My family and I have eaten here MANY times (from birthday celebrations with kids to romantic anniversary meals) and it never lets us down. It is a small restaurant (so booking is highly recommended) but it feels like you're sat in a cosy lounge. The staff are always really friendly and the food is always fantastic!

My family, friends and I have visited Amici many times, from romantic meals to birthday celebrations, and Ivano and his team have always gone above and beyond feeding us all! I have a few family members with allergies/dietary requirements and with a phonecall in advance, Ivano always manages not just to cater for them but to provide a meal just as delicious as the rest of ours which is a rare occurrence! Amici is a quaint and welcoming restaurant with an authentic Italian menu. The service is always faultless and sincere and food is delightful! I honestly can't sing it's praises enough- I compare other restaurants to it and have held off writing this review as I've wanted to keep this place secret! Many thanks Ivano and team!

Fantastic atmosphere, excellent staff and gorgeous food! would highly recommend, loved it so much returned 2 weeks later and was not disapointed.

From the outside it does not look like much, but inside lots of truly Italian atmosphere. The calamari starter was excellent likewise our pizza full of flavor and fresh toppings.Friendly staff in fact we were shown some wedding photos of a recent wedding, all served with a smile what more can you ask. We will be back.

A cosy small Resteraunt with a big part to say about Italian food. Serving brilliant Italian cuisine such as Lasagna, Carbonara and Pizza. Also including a wide range of Itallian Sweet Pudding such as Chocolate Bomba and hot drinks such as Black Coffee. Lovely staff, The Manager/Pizza Chef has a stylish sense of humour, and makes a heartily Itallian Pizza. The Chef does make a Brilliant lasagna, Salad and some brilliant pudding. Small but perfectly formed, this pizza place is a little gem. Perfectly gorgeous food, great staff and brilliant atmosphere makes a meal here a great experience.True parking can be an issue, so you have to park in the town and walk to it and if you aren't good walking up hills it can make it a little tricky to get too, but it is so worth the extra effort.Try it, it will be a place you'll keep returning to.

Quaint little Italian restaurant have eaten here numerous times, meatballs on the specials board are superb. If you wish to go please Book as always seems busy and I'm not surprised great place highly recommended.

A long standing favourite of my partner and I. Small, cosy and family run - a nice atmosphere and good service.The food wasn't as good as we've had historically with the bruchetta being pretty dry and the sauce overly thick with dried herbs. My pasta was over cooked for my main meal, but it was dense with chicken, had a nice salad and coffees to finish. My partner loved his pizza which i think Amici's do particularly well (I should've stuck with that).The main surprise was the cost of the meal which we thought had inflated too much (a small bottle of prosecco (one glass) being £10. Don't go here for a budget meal but do go for a special occasion and particularly a romantic environment. I understand there are plans for expansion. It would be great if this restaurant could be left as it stands as i'd fear the prices, slightly poorer quality of food and changed environment may impact adversely the very reasons why this place has become pretty special.

Tucked away in the heart of Bradford on Avon, this small but oh so welcoming restaurant offers charm, a great team and fantastic food! As a pizza lover it ticked every box!

We were recently staying in Bradford on Avon and came across this quaint little italian place and how lucky we were. We walked in one evening without booking worried we wouldn't be able to fit but we're graciously greeted and welcomed straight in. There was 4 adults, a toddler and a baby. The food was lovely and even with a majority of us asking for specific things like extra chilli, no green peppers etc. The chef kindly accommodated all our requests without a bat of an eyelid. We ended up staying there for a good few hours and needless to say the kids were audible. This was not a problem and not once did we get a dodgy look or request to be quiet. Even the other diners ended up having a chat with us about the kids. This is exactly what I expect from an Italian restaurant. Full of life, fun and laughter with family, friends & fab food. I would certainly recommend this place and should I ever be in the area again I would definitely return. I'm fact the following day my husband went back to get a take away! Delicious!

Good evening with fine food and drink. Lots of pasta and pizza to choose from and friendly service. Can recommend the house red and the pork cannelloni, all at a reasonable price.

Walk past this place every day and say to myself I must visit, having heard really good things about the food. Walked in at 8.30 and was taken aback at how lovely the ambiance was. Relaxed and not stuffy/pretentious like various other establishments round BoA. Quite intimate, looked like about 20-24 covers. Could quite easily have been on holiday somewhere. Attentive but not overbearing staff, fantastic food and just a lovely place. Would travel here from Bath for an evening, its that nice. You can keep your overpriced gastro eateries. Best restaurant in BoA by miles.....still trying to work out why not visited before. Will be back on a frequent basis....

My wife and i came here on out last night of our "minimoon". Perfect food and perfect service. Probably the best pizza i have ever had and my wife loved her risotto. Deserts were fantastic as well so how can you fault the place? Solid 5/5 and would give more if we could

Found this little restaurant by chance and popped in for an early evening 3 course meal. Absolutely super food and service from a friendly team. Following a garlic and cheese pizza bread starter, we both really enjoyed our deliciously sauced pasta dishes followed by not too sweet tiramisu. We live a long way away which is probably just as well as we'd be very regular visitors!!

We visited this restaurant with family and were instantly surprised with the variety on show in the menu - lots and lots of choice. Not always an indicator of quality but on this occasion it was. We had good past, risotto and pizza - with the highlight being a bolognese pizza. Go if you are in the area.

I was taken to Amici by friends who live locally - for a 'country' pizzeria it was a pleasant surprise serving good quality pizzas & classic homemade italian dishes. The owner was delightful - a third generation Italian who amused us with tales of his parents & grandparents arrival in the area many years ago. My only reason for not giving a 5*rating is the price of the pizzas which at around £11 each was on the expensive side. Other than that it had a good ambiance & good service.

Love this place, just love this place so much! Lived in Bradford for ten years and have seen so many places come and go. Here, the food is authentic, the ambiance is cosy, the wines are first rate and the staff look like they love their jobs and are having fun!The owner is a great guy too, the only down side is that he's a Chelsea fan! Only joking Mr Boss......Can't wait for my next Siena pizza........

We ate here this evening and I had high expectations, the place itself is quaint and intimate, the staff were friendly and service was good. The food was below average and the reasons are as follows : Pesto spaghetti - pesto was definitely out of a jar - my sister lives in Genova so I know what to expect when ordering this dish - conclusion unacceptable !Pork cannelloni - nice enough, I ate most of it, couldn't help but think the sauce had been made out of a tin of condensed soup!Pizza garlic bread - ok had an s I doc taste to it like the garlic was from a jar and preserved in white wine vinegar Pancakes - this was was the nail in the coffin ! - these were those shop bought pancakes you can buy in the bakery section smothered in golden syrup and cheap vs ills ice cream - I was absolutely appalledChocolate mousse (Bomba). - this may have been a mousse if it had been defrosted prior to serving - again this was a bulk bought item and it was awful Wine selection - house wine - terrible We paid nearly £50 for this meal and we out 3 or 4 times a week and pay a similar price for first class food Really disappointed and won't be revisiting Sorry !PS this is the first review I have ever written as I feel so strongly about itI'm shocked to see the other reviews !

Stopped here and had a pizza. Good pizza but the staff was a bit below par. Very warm inside too which made it a little uncomfortable. I would eat here again though as the pizza was pretty good!

I was away last weekend so was told to keep Friday night free. Met at the train station and walked to this pizzeria for a fathers day treat. I love Bradford, the town is very pretty and this is a restaurant is we had yet to try. Small, cosy and apparently very popular. We started with calamari for 2 which was good, others had garlic bread & ribs. There was plenty of choice with the pizza toppings and all the orders arrived within minutes of each other. Good Pizza! The staff were friendly and attentive and managed to make it feel authentically Italian (right down to making a fuss of my grand kids). Sweets were also good and boxes were provided for leftovers. Prices I think were about average. Lovely evening out - thank you.

Such a great little place AMD we have been there many times. The food is always amazing and the staff is very friendly. Little Italy in the middle of the English countryside.

Me and my boyfriend were staying in the area and my dad recommended this place to us. We booked last minute on a Saturday night so we didn't mind the 9pm table. As we arrived we ordered drinks and a starter to share. Staff were lovely and attentive. The starter was to die for it was brushetta but it arrived pizza style, with the topping of tomato and their very own sort of pesto in the middle, it was incredible and big, and only £10!Then we ordered two pizzas which was to die for. Big, Cheesy, and the toppings you could tell were fresh. The salad dressing is amazing, if you get to try the house salad.Overall a lovely meal, a hidden gem, the prices were great too!

Stopped in by accident late one evening - they were closing but they let us in. Pizza was phenomenal, the owner was great! If you're in town I highly recommend stopping by!!!

I found this restaurant by accident, I've been living in Bradford on Avon for 2 years now and never knew it existed!! I took my brother and sister-in-law out for a thank you meal and so glad we found this place, staff were great owner was awesome and really went out of his way to get us a table as they were full, we just went away for half hour and came back to a great meal, the pizza was wonderful as were our carbonara, we also had the creamy pepper mushroom starter which was awesome!!!Been back there since but didn't book!! Mistake, but ended up taking out, still delicious, will be going back again soon....Try and make sure you book to guarantee you get a table as this restaurant is so popular (as it should be)....

I have being going to this restaurant for years and believe it or not have known the owner even years earlier when he had a marvellous take away pizzeria on Bear Flat in BathOne thing has not changed at all the quality. Every day as I drive through Bradford on Avon I see the local fresh ingredients being delivered. Every day the restaurant is open the owner prepares the pizza, pasta and specials. If he's on holiday back in Italy then the restaurant is not open This probably explains the consistency of excellence The restaurant is like a traditional small cozy pizzeria you'd find in many back streets in Italy. Although small and close to tables next to you one does not feel as if your conversation is audible to others . The starters can be shared, huge range of tradition pizzas, pasta and special dishes all made and cooked by Ivanno in his open kitchen The waiting staff are young, friendly, attentive and enjoying themselves. It's like eating in a family gathering with chatter and laughing bouncing around between between the owner, staff at customers. The atmosphere is fantastic along with the food. My God leave room for the desserts they taste as good as the names on the specials boards. There is a full bar. I've eaten there alone, with my partner, family and larger group. Perfect for all. Maybe not to large a group due to size. When the bill comes it's very reasonable and you really do walk out happily.I thoroughly recommend this restaurant and advise booking due to popularity. There is also a very handy take away service

I have been coming here for years, the best pizza I have ever had. Reasonably priced. I always go for number 9 pizza with chicken. I had could have one every week I would. But come here for a takeaway once a month. You will not be disappointed.

We popped in to see if they had a table for two and immediately saw that almost all the tables were reserved. But the owner found us a space and we enjoyed a lovely pizza.Now I know why there were so many tables reserved!

Nice restaurant with a cosy atmosphere. Main pizzas were reasonably priced (similar to pizza express) and tasted amazing, however sides seemed a little overpriced compared to other restaurants. £4.50 for garlic bread?The garlic bread and rosemary bread were also very oily which made it quite awkward and uncomfortable to eat and cut the rest of our food.However, a nice visit, will probably eat here again.

We have invited a lot of our friends to join us at this great Italian cafe/bar. Our friends last night were bowled over by the amazing food & great service.I always seem to go for the liver & bacon with polenta as it is gorgeous!10 out of 10 for Ivano & staff.

We got a table! Have struggled to return to this delightful pizzeria in nearly two years due to it being so popular.Table for three, drinks and starter delivered really quickly which was just what we wanted. Fresh meats and salad with tasty dressing and bread went down very well. Two of us had pizza and one a pasta dish, the owner brought over chilli flakes and warned they were spicy! My husband loved them. All staff really friendly and attentive and we had a very pleasant evening.

It's the best pizza in town and certainly better than chain offerings but I was never bowled over by their quality. Nevertheless if you have a craving for pizza in Bradford on Avon go here.

Ordered 2 pizzas easy to order on phone was ready when they said it would be polite staff pizza tasted great best local pizza my only gripe is its bit expensive for the size, you won't taste better

Always wanted to try here so I finally orderd a takeaway pizza. Easy to order was ready when I arrived. My only fault is the size of it for the price & I'm only complaining about it because it was so nice, one on the best pizzas I've had so would've preferred it to bit bigger.

Good quality food. Mainly Pizza but that is fine.A little cramped but staff take good care of you.Entrance on narrow busy road so take care.

Our first visit with friends who are regulars. So many yummy dishes could hardly choose off the menu! Staff lovely and very helpful. Kindly offered to do a smaller gnocchi dish off the main menu as a starter for me as I couldn't choose between pizza and pasta! Will be back again soon!

This little place was full on a Thursday night which tells you something. Recommended by local people and it doesn't disappoint if you are looking for a nice Italian meal. The pizzas were freshly cooked with plenty of topping.

This lovely cute cosy friendly authentic Italian pizza cafe served us the nicest food . It was my husbands birthday so the perfect place for a midweek treat. We were served by a delightful and charming young man, who was most likely in his mid teens who proved to be a very charming waiter.Our food was delicious, we all ordered pizza. It arrived pipping hot and even though two of us opted for a cheese free pizza it wasn't a problem and both were top notch for flavour. Pudding was great too, especially my orange sorbet in a frozen orange skin. We will certainly be visiting again very soon

We enjoyed an excellent meal for 6 of us on Saturday night, there was a huge choice of pizzas and pasta and everyone loved the food. So glad we booked as the restaurant is small and many people were turned away on the night.
