Pizza Express in Aberdeen City

Arrived with family including 4 children age 5 to 14 and 5 adults on a Sunday evening for dinner. The service was so slow that we waited 50 mins for our starter and a further 40 mins for our main course with two items missed off. Our waiter was doing her very best and it would appear the hold up was in the kitchen. Eventually I asked to speak with the manager who did admit the service had been extremely poor and deducted the cost of our starters. Food was just average but a serious lack of awareness by staff that anything was wrong!

Pizza was great and the atmosphere lovely. Staff was very friendly and polite. The restaurant was easy to find.

I hadn't been to a Pizza Express for years so thought I'd have dinner here whilst staying nearby the other night. Super fast and friendly service. Excellent pizza- I had a Romana La Reine which was massive! It was so well cooked- crispy edge, light centre and the toppings and sauce were great- I had no trouble finishing it.

Service was quick and very friendly, with attention to detail. The pizza was delicious and freshly-made within sight of the dining area. This was a very positive experience and was chosen at random from a number of restaurants offering pizzas on the first floor. Lovely staff. The right choice was made.

average pizza, awful service. needed more staff on. Bank holiday Monday lunchtime, did you not think it would be busy? 2hrs later, no acknowledgement of delays or apology offered.

Should really be renamed to "pizza slow". Sat for 25 mins before taking our order, then a further 45 minutes before getting our main courses. Was offered a free starter if we downloaded the app but the app wouldn't accept the table number so couldn't get the free starter. Staff were friendly and helpful but seemed a bit rushed off their feet for lunch service. Food was ok, but the "healthy option" is basically a pizza with the middle cut out and filled with salad leaves. Great if you just like eating pizza crusts.

Booked a table for an early Sat evening meal. One waiter told us he was having to set tables before he could take our order so we old have to wait, and then another waiter came to take our order telling us he had cut his finger. Before taking our order he said that they had run out of some items on the menu. We ordered dough balls to share but for some reason BBQ sauce was one of the 3 dips ! Very strange. A long wait for pizzas and pasta - we were told rhey were just cooking. Pasta portion small and bland despite being advertised as spicy. The Sicilian Lemonade tasted as if it had been watered down. Staff seemed more interested in chatting with customers they knew rather than clearing tables and we ate our meal next to two uncleared tables. We love going to Pizza Express but will head to the other one in Aberdeen now after tonight’s poor service.

Service was good and quick, food was fine but nothing special. I ordered the vegan nourish bowl and it was really bland. Otherwise, just a standard pizza express.

Really enjoyed the pizzas here, and the drinks were very delicious. The desserts were most enjoyable - especially the figs and the lemon roulade, which will be chosen again on our next visit. The staff were also very very helpful.

We had a booked for lunch today. Two of our group are exempt from wearing a face covering. The member of staff at the door demanded to see medical proof prior to allowing entry for these individuals. Discriminatory and illegal not to mention an invasion of medical privacy. Suggest retraining of staff. Terrible experience and sackable offence in my opinion. Custom was taken next door to Prezzo instead where we were met with delightful and attentive staff.

My daughter and I visited this restaurant today ( Sat 17/10). We were so impressed from the off, by the greeter who was very pleasant, very professional and who carefully explained all the safety procedures. This felt a very safe place to visit, best we’ve experienced throughout this pandemic in our restaurant visits. The waiter was also very courteous and efficient. We enjoyed our food but the service stood out as outstanding in our opinion. Thank you !

We vowed never to go to a pizza express again after a terrible dining experience in the one in The Lexicon in Bracknell. As a test, I had the same pizza in the Aberdeen restaurant and it was lovely! Who'd have though that a chain of restaurants could be so different. I'd recommend this Pizza Express and would happily visit it again (but not the one in Bracknell).

Family visit - convenient location and in my view the best pizza chain! All happy customers - tried both calzone and both were good - the spicy was spicy!!! I like it. Staff friendly and helpful which is always good. Nice and clean also. Quality is good here and I would go back.

Went as part of Aberdeen Restaurant Week. We booked for 8pm Sunday and the place was very quiet. Sadly despite sufficient staff there was a delay in us being greeted but thereafter staff were very friendly. Doughballs were as always and very tasty, garlic bread was very cheesy and tasty but could have been thinned out a little and I would have appreciated it being cut in some way. Pizzas we upgraded and they were very good - as regular diners at a variety of pizza expresses they stood out as top of their game. Bill was wrong with no offer applied but this was quickly rectified.

We dropped into Pizza Express for a meal after going to the cinema. The service was excellent and we enjoyed our meal .

The menu seems to have changed since our last visit. Only one of the appetisers was available. The wine came quickly but we had to ask for a jug of water twice even though, at that time, there was only one other table occupied. The pizza was ok but the pasta dish lacked flavour and would have benefitted from some parmesan The side of coleslaw had none of the promised spice in the sauce and apart from 3 very thin strips of carrot was entirely cabbage, a nice little earner for PE, but not the customer.

Went here after shopping with my partner and found the service was good and the pizzas were very tasty.

Another faultless visit. Was very busy given time of year but we managed to eat 3 courses in little more than an hour. Food great as always and service brilliant. For £40 for a family of 3 I would not hesitate to recommend.

We arived at 12.30pm and the restaurant was busy as you would expect at this time of year. Service was a bit slow to start with and then ground to a halt. The food certainly wasn't as good as normal either, we only visit as the children like the dough balls, penne bolognese and brownies but the pasta was tough and looked as though it had been grilled as it had burnt ends. We never saw our server again, our table wasn't cleared and I had to ask for our childrens desserts. I had to ask to pay and when asked if we had enjoyed our meal I explained about the pasta and was told it was always cooked this way! I was also told that the restaurant was under staffed as the same day last year had been quite, I replied that they shouldn't continue to seat new customers if they cannot serve the customers already sat waiting - the server agreed and then wished me happy new year, he clearly couldn't care less. If this is what Pizza Express think of their customers they do not deserve our custom, there are plenty of other dining options out there and we will certainly not be returning to this or any other outlet.

Visit started off great. Food was good. Drinks given. Service was friendly etc. But after the main meal, took a (very) long time to clear the tables. Not sure if i happened to eat during shift handover but there were plenty servers walking past us. Nobody noticed. I would return but the thing is, this exact same thing happened during my last visit 18 months ago.

Went for a quick family late lunch. Very rude waiter who couldn't be bothered working and had a terrible attitude. Shared a started and not given small plates. Threw the starter plate at my son. After a few minutes, i asked for plate as we didn't have. He came back and banged them on the table. I was gobsmacked. My husband noticed and he is very laid back..

Stopped here for lunch but really wish we’d not bothered. Service was excellent but food was relatively bland and every dish overcooked. Don’t get me wrong, it’s ok but with a bill of over 50 for two starters, mains and soft drinks we really wished we went to BK. The starters of calamari and dough balls were way over done. The pizzas were a good size and well cooked but scrimped a lot on toppings and when it got cold fast it became inedible for the last few slices. There’s lots of other chain Italians in union square so won’t be rushing back here I’m sorry to say.

I always enjoy a meal at Pizza Express. I’ve been to many of their restaurants throughout the UK. I generally find the food good value for money. Not tonight!

Terrible servicio. Regla ridícula acerca de no poder tomar una copa de vino con un plato pequeño. Los servidores estaban charlando ignorándome, luego me dijeron que no podía tener lo que quería. La camarera culpó a su colega por no haberme dicho la regla desde el principio y afirmó que me ignoraron porque su otro colega le estaba dando información importante. Creo que necesitan un poco de formación en servicio al cliente. El restaurante estaba 3/4 vacío y no es de extrañar. El lugar más desagradable en Aberdeen y el peor Pizza Express en el que he estado, por una milla campestre.

Tres familias con 11, incluyendo 5 adultos para una comida de celebración. Reservado para las 6 pm. Nos cobraron 24 cargos por servicio debido al número en nuestro grupo. Después de aprender esto, no hay comentarios sobre la comida, el servicio, el ambiente, etc. No volveré en ningún grupo de tamaño.

My favourite restaurant! I love the Gardinera Romana pizza with non vegan cheese. Mozzarella and tomato salad is always a delight. Great deal again with the PizzaExpress app. Service good too.

We chose to have an evening meal to accommodate dietary requirements in what I used to consider a reputable chain restaurant. Our 3year old daughter is dairy free so asked for plain pasta. Drinks were really slow and when asked we were forgotten about. Pasta was cold, hard so we asked for fresh pasta. Second chance was not any better. Turns out that pasta must be covered in oil and put under a grill. Not sure why pasta can’t be cooked plain boiled water. On the plus point, pizza was good and quick. Has put me off going to other Pizza Express restaurants now.

My first visit but won't be my last. It's a bit pricey but well worth it. Felt like I was in Italy. The service was excellent & the waiter very attentive.

Just had a lovely experience in this branch of Pizza Express. Very friendly, attentive and efficient service from Chris our waiter tonight. Romano bases were lovely and crisp with lots of toppings. Thank you.

Went with my daughters early on a Saturday lunchtime. Staff were friendly and service reasonably quick (I’m guessing due to being 11.45pm when we sat down). We all had the doughballs which were lovely. My daughters pizza came out with no chicken on it so that went back. Myself and other daughter had margherita pizza. We thought they were ok but agreed we’d had better. This was our first time at PE, Union Square as we usually go to the one on Union Street. Think I’ll stick with the Union Street PE!

The food is quite nice here and the atmosphere is pleasant. However the service can be very slow. When the restaraunt is very busy you would expect a wait but even when less than half full there is still a unreasonable delay between courses. Shame becase for the price the food is of a good quality..

Cené en este restaurante con mi abuela y mi abuelo un viernes por la noche porque nos encanta la pizza express y nos quedamos juntos en Aberdeen para pasar un tiempo juntos. Estaba bastante ocupado cuando llegamos, pero nos sentamos en un par de minutos y las bebidas llegaron rápidamente. La orden fue tomada, teníamos 2 Romanas y una leggera, nuestros platos principales llegaron en 10 minutos, lo que fue muy rápido! La camarera era una chica de cabello castaño llamada Megan, una chica encantadora que conversó con nosotros y fue muy atenta. Todos tuvimos postres, así que eran muy sabroso. Buen restaurante con un buen ambiente y un personal encantador! Volvería.

Este Pizza Express está escondido en Union Square. Hay muchas opciones en Union Square pero tenía cupones, así que mi elección fue hecha para mí. Estuve aquí a las 4 pm y estaba tan silencioso que me pregunté si estaba abierto. Era tan inusual sentarse en un Pizza Express y muy poca gente realmente carecía de ambiente. Tuve pan de ajo con queso para comenzar, que era muy sabroso. Luego fui a la gran ensalada ceasar, que tenía una fuerte crema de ensalada picante por todas partes, que no me gustó para nada. Pido cambiarlo por otro plato que felizmente hicieron sin cargo. Elegí una ensalada súper de comida que estaba deliciosa.

Tuvimos un buen almuerzo tarde / cena temprano antes de un viaje al cine. Comimos del menú de 2 platos ya que tenía un cupón para esto.

Early evening. Used an offer so two courses for £9.95 Good choices and very attentive service. Starter came almost immediately as did the drink. Pizza was well cooked with a salad. Quick and easy, music perhaps a bit load but otherwise could not fault it.

Quick stop with former colleague from South Korea. He thought it was good(box standard cheese and tomato), but I thought mine was a bit soggy (with anchovies). Each to their own

I visited this Pizza Express for something to eat prior to an evening rail journey to Edinburgh. I had a most enjoyable meal with great service from Rea. My starter and pizza were both fresh, hot and tasty and exactly as ordered, extra toppings on the pizza. Meal rounded off with a nice coffee

2nd visit with friends, both times excellent. We had a voucher so we had 2 courses for £9.95, I had garlic bread with mozarella cheese, absolutely the yummiest version of garlic bread. Then Pollo Pesto, equally yummy pasta dish. And the staff were very attentive - all in all, no complaints!

I love this restaurant. It's really the best place to go for an authentic pizza. Staff are always really attentive and friendly.

My favourite pizza restaurant. Great service too. Even better when using the vouchers from the pizza express for the 2 course or 3 course deals. The romana pizza are definitely my favourite. The chocolate fudge cake is to die for too.

Arrived as the third customers at 11:30 still waiting for kids pudding and bill at 13:00. Seated by manager who then seemed to disappear. Never saw him again. Queried where food was an was given stroppy apology that the oven was not working! Pizza seemed to be served to other customers who came in after us. I had pasta which was not worth the almost £12 for a tiny portion. Won't use PE again!

We really like pizza express... love the thin pizza bases and the toppings are really lovely and fresh. Just a nice place to get a fancy pizza. Nothing too posh just perfect for a family lunch after a walk round the shops. Little man always...

In my previous review, I mentioned that it would be a long time before I would be visiting PE again, based on the bad service we had received, however, I decided to give them another go.This time was a different experience, the staff on hand couldn't have been more helpful, the service we received was quick and efficient. As ever the food arrived piping hot and delicious. 5 stars from me this time.

This is the second time my family and I have visited this pizza express and it will be the last. Both time's the service was abysmal. Waited 20 minutes to get our drinks and 40 minutes to get a soggy pizza. We asked for refills for the drinks and they never arrived. It wasn't even that busy. Yes, they have pizza but there is nothing express about this place - avoid

Been there with my girlfriend after we spontaneously decided to eat something.I was not disappointed at all. The fromaggio started tasted magnificent, and my Diavolo pizza was huge.The staff asked if everything was okay. The only thing that I could criticize is that it took around 20 minutes to get the pizza , but this is no deal for me

Pizza great as always in Pizza Express. This has to be my least favourite of all the locations in Aberdeen though. 1 member of staff was lovely (blonde young girl wearing uniform) but the other member of staff who was not wearing the pizza express uniform looked flustered when taking the food to our table (it wasn't busy) and struggled with a simple question and was quite abupt, perhaps there was a language barrier? Asked for parmesan but she never came back with any. Food top knotch though and 2-4-1 pizza's you cannot go wrong with!

I guess to an extent if you've been in one Pizza Express you have been in them all. I suppose this might be true of the food but the service will depend on the staff. The establishment in Union Square was very good and the guy who served us was great. They offer an extensive range of pizzas which I suppose you would expect. All in all a good night with the family. It is one of many restaurants in Union Square - there is penalty of choice.

Took our two grandchildren as they both love pizza. We arrived there at 4.10pm, there weren't any members of staff at the entrance, so we went and sat down at a table, a couple in front of us also did the same. A staff member then came over and told us to go back and wait at the entrance while he cleaned up our table from the previous diners. I clocked at this point there were only 6 tables full. By 4.20pm we still hadn't had any member of staff take our drinks or food order, they were definitely not rushed off their feet with only 6 tables full. When the girl finally did ask us for our drinks order, which consisted of a glass of coke and a coffee and some water for the table, it took another 10 mins for this to be delivered.We then gave her our food order. Our food arrived 15 mins later minus the kids drinks. My husband had to go and ask for them. Regarding the food, it arrived piping hot and very tasty, the grandkids liked theirs too, however this has been let down by the bad service - don't think I will be visiting any time soon.

Gave this place a second chance and once again we left dissatisfied. Saturday nyt and we got a table no problem at 7pm (that alone speaks volumes). On this occasion our main meal just didn't arrive. I will never again visit this place. 0/10

Went for a meal before going to the cinema. The restaurant has a quiet, understated atmosphere. The waiters were attentive without being overbearing. I appreciated being able to see the chefs cooking the food. I didn't have to wait long for any of my courses. And the food was pretty good too. I felt satisfied but not stuffed. A three course meal plus drink for under 17.00 per person.I had the passion fruit lemonade with the 3 course meal: garlic bread for starter, the veneziana pizza and fudge cake to finish.The garlic bread was proper well-baked bread. It could be even better with a stronger flavour of garlic. The pizza had a good balance of toppings. The combination of lightly smoky onion, capers, raisins and mozzarella - delicious. It was a little more bit difficult to eat the pizza than it needed to be, so might want to avoid if you don't want to put off the person you're eating with. The cake was to a good standard and a palate cleansing icecream on the side. Ganaches can either be too sweet or sticky this one was just right. There are plenty of other options on the menu. If you are familiar with Pizza Express and looking for a couples night out this one could be right for you.

Each stage of ordering drinks and food to them actually arriving took far too long, it wasn't that busy and given lots of waiters were standing around giggling, its not acceptable. The food was flawless and I have nothing but positives about that, likewise with the cleanliness! Really let down by staff who are too interested with flirting with each other and having a laugh to give this place a better rating.

Went for a meal before the cinema. Meal was good. The restaurant and toilets are impeccably clean The service from our waitress was really good. In all a very pleasant experience. The fact they take Tesco Club card vouchers makes it even better.

So I love Pizza Express. It's great, mainly because I love pizza. Been to the Belmont St and Union St branches often enough and always enjoy. This was my second trip to the Union Square branch and again this time everything was....fine....but to be honest it's just not as good as the other two. The service is ok but slightly insincere. The food was fine but always seems to be of a higher quality at the other branches. and there is something about the décor/seating - it just doesn't have the same ambience. So to conclude - I would go back here again. But if given the choice, I would rather go to the Belmont St or Union St restaurants over this one. ALSO PLEASE NOTE GOOD GF MENU VERY IMPRESSED.

Nice food and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. Clean and tidy. Nice idea that you can watch the chef make the pizza.

Heard a lot about this place but sadly didn't live up to expectations. Waited quite a while to order then even longer for any food to arrive. Pizza was almost cold, kids pasta looked pretty tasteless. A supermarket pizza would have been tastier I'm sure. The pepperoni was almost non existent and what there was was small and over cooked. Definitely not the place for a good pizza.

We usually enjoy Pizza Express and have been to many all over Britain usually praising the hard working cheerful waiting staff. Today however this was not my experience: in fact a very rude member of staff petulantly and disdainfully screwed up my bill and rudely told me off for not mentioning that I was going to use a Tesco points voucher. I maybe should have mentioned this if i had been given a chance but there is a polite way of giving people information and Alan's way. I hope the boss or Alan himself reads this. Normally when using Tesco vouchers I tip generously as it seems a win-win situation and it is nice to pass on the good will: not today.

Great atmosphere, has a certain buzz to it!. Good pizza place for kids. Their deal includes dough balls, main meal, pudding, drink & bambinoccino all for £6.95. A fantastic quiz/puzzle book to keep them entertained too!A wide variety of adult dishes to suit every ones tastes (saying that there did not seem to be any steak pasta dishes - but maybe not a good combination?).Staff were great, especially with kids. Very friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend this Pizza Express (you can usually get discount vouchers online too).

We recently visited and had a great meal! I had the garlic dough balls and then a pizza with red onion. Couldn't fault the food at all...Only gripe was asking for a jack d and coke with no ice. The server then brings me a fresh jack d takes the only one away, however the little bottle of coke was then with less than half. When I have another jack d I am then charged for another bottle of coke.... Wouldn't have needed one (2.20 each) if the server didn't make a mistake!

They brought me the starter after they served all the food and they brought it together with my order. I was not satiated with the portion I had. The menu was mainly pizzas whereas in other PizzaExpress they have a variety of pastas chicken, salads etc. I was very annoyed when the bill arrived and they charged 10% extra for service (supposedly) because we were more than 10 people and they needed more personnel (they said). Whereas if we sat on 2 different tables we wouldn't be charged...Overall very disappointed!!!

Went to pizza express union square they weren't very busy but service was really slow . The pizza wasn't as advertised and they had run out of coleslaw , this was at 4.30 in the afternoon . Won't be back

I'm sure I've said this before but Pizza Express are a reliably excellent evening meal whether out on business or for a social evening out. The meal is made even better with the addition of a Tastecard. This branch is no exception. I was out away on business and out latish looking for a decent evening meal. Unfortunately the first Pizza Express we visited was closing and it was only 9.30pm. Seemingly Aberdeen is suffering the downturn and the once buzzing city centre is very quiet midweek. We were directed to the Union Square branch which, whilst very quiet (we were the only diners), served up a lovely meal. The staff were excellent and the food was brillaint. Thank you.

Went to visit for a pre-cinema meal so we didn't have loads of time. Had never tried pizza express in union square so thought it would be a nice change. We were greeted promptly by a smiley and polite girl who sat us down and gave us the menus.. And then for the next 10 full minutes completely ignored. Restaurant wasn't very busy and the shopping centre was quiet. After tapping our fingers for ten minutes without even being asked what to drink we just got up and left. We made eye contact with some rough haired looking bloke who just stared and ignored us twice, when we left the girl sheepishly said something but didn't even try to ask why we were leaving. First impressions last and we won't be back.

All in all a decent experience the only criticism was that the service was a bit slow, however that being said we've are out 3 times in 2 weeks and the service has been a lot lot worse than that of pizza express. Food was amazing, arrived very hot so couldn't have asked for better.

Visited for a light lunch and was served calamari that had a hair in it. Although we got a replacement dish and money off the bill it still shouldn't have happened. Not much of an apology either. Second time we've had bad service here and won't be returning. The other pizza expresses in Aberdeen are excellent

I hadnt been to Pizza Express in years when a girly catch up was suggested along with the woo of a 30% off food voucher.We had a doughball sharer between three which was plentiful as a starter and I opted for the seasonal special of Hawaiian pizza - which was delicious!I will definitely not leave it so long between my next visit!

Service extremely slow, took 20mins to take orders for drinks which then arrived with 1 ice cube each. When the waiter came to take our plates away he said I will go get the bill, without offering us the desert menu. This is the 2nd visit with terrible slow service. Will only return again for the spree card discount.

Visit regularly with my dad as pizza express is one of our favourites. The quality of food was just as expected and the service was good. Can't fault it. I love pizza express because the food always tastes delicious and is so fresh. I also really like the atmosphere of their restaurants. Great visit as always.

We recently visited, family and friends to Pizza Express, Union Square. Before I continue, I can say the dough balls, calamari, pizza etc is good... It is pizza express.The problem with this particular pizza express, and we have experienced this several times, is the terrible service;Left waiting at the door despite the place being half empty, for a long time. Standing waiting with a crying baby is frustrating, especially when staff are not busy.The waitress took an age to come and see us, once we finally had a table. When we were served our drinks, water was forgotten. Then the waitress left her tray etc on the table, which I took back over to her.When it was time to ask for the bill, the waitress disappeared for 5-10mins. Eventually we spotted her leaning against the till chatting to a colleague, when she saw us looking she eventually came over with the bill.All in all, good pizza express food, terrible service.

I eat here most times I am in Aberdeen. The food is consistently good and the staff are always pleasant and attentive without being pushy. It is noisy when it's busy but it's in a large shopping mall and the decor is all hard surfaces. Nearly always busy, so a high turnover of fresh pizzas. Toilets are really cramped though!Union Street Pizza Express has been good in the past but a wee bit off the beaten track nowadays. Not quite as busy but still tasty. The Pizza Express in Belmont Street has never been so good though. I have been served brownish lettuce there, tired looking salads and the dry pizzas. Also the pizzas just aren't as succulent and moist!Needless to say I am a bit of a pizza fan and usually track down Pizza Express no matter which town I am in.

I don't think I have ever had a bad meal or experience in pizza express or know anyone who claims to have had either. You get what you pay for and on that note I also don't think I have ever paid full price for a meal as they always have a discount code on offer. We had a mix of pizza, pasta, salads and one child eating from the kids menu. Food came in good time, was tasty and well presented. Service was good also. If I had one criticism it would be my dish could have been slightly warmer but it was warm enough for me not to send it back.

Decided on a spot of lunch with the family. Took a little while to be seated but this did not spoil the experience. We had a mixture of pizza, salad and I had a couple of starters for my main meal and of course we had dough balls! The food was very yummy and service good. Would possibly not visit for a quick lunch as quite busy but lovely nonetheless...

I work nearby and have occasionally gone for lunch with colleagues. Although the service is rarely good, I did enjoy a particular pizza which I thought my son would like too.On Sunday, 22nd, I took my wife and son for lunch (even though they wanted to go elsewhere) telling my son he should try a pizza they do and that he would probably really like it.Even though the place was practically empty we stood waiting at the door for ages before being shown a table. It took an age to take our order and then the food took an incredible time to arrive. The pizzas were cold and some toppings seemed to have been added after the pizza was cooked which meant they were both cold and falling off the pizza.There were more staff than customers, but the staff all stood chatting at the other end of the floor or disappeared en masse through the back. We just eat our cold uncooked pizzas and then waited so long before our plates were cleared that I insisted we get both the bill and my son's final course together.I have never left a restaurant without leaving a tip until this visit. I will never return to this shameful place.

We have been sitted quickly and served shortly afterwards.The service was brilliant if not excellent.The waiter was chilled out yet Professional at his Job. The only let down of the restuarant is the pizza they make. There's not a lot of toppings you can have for example, I'm a big fun of sweet corn but I haven't saw it in any pizzas they had available. The pizza we got was Pollo ad Astra the menu didn't mention that it was quite spicy. I wasn't pleased with the quality of the pizza as it was mainly cheese and I didn't like the base of it, pizza hut and dominos sell a better crunchy pizza. However, I have to give them a credit for the pizza as it was fresh and handmade whereas the base of pizzas in other places are usually prepared before the restaurant opens. The table we have been given was small which made it a bit chaotic trying to fit everything on the table. 2 cola's, 2 glasses of water, jug of water, pizza, 2 small plates and a side was nearly impossible to fit on the table so we were forced to place some stuff on the floor which was quite inconvenient for us.Ps: Well done to Ryan who was our waiter for this evening, you really did a great job.

Had a pleasant lunch here.The staff were very friendly and they all had a smile.We ordered a couple of light pizzas which both arrived quickly and were very tasty.We also has two very tasty deserts.I would highly recommend pizza express as the pizza is nice and light.

Had been on hols at Ardoe House Hotel and already spent 3 nights at dinner there and decided to have one night out on the city of Aberdeen. We chose pizza express as hubby loves their thin pizzas and I like the leggera ones. We had a really nice meal with free starters (previous reviews on company website) and 2for1 pizzas due to tastecard. Discount was £16.63 and with a drink each (wine @ £5.55 for a large glass of chardonnay and large bottle peroni @ £6.55) bill came to £25.02 so quite a bargain. Service by Emma very good too! Yes Aberdeen - we enjoyed the visit! Xx

We visited at lunch time on Saturday and have to say they were very busy which they still produced lovely food took a little time between courses. I had a carbonara pizza it was fantastic my daughter had pasta which she loved how ever my wife had a salad one of the reasons for our visit she really enjoys them but they must have changed The way they make them up as she didn't find it to the usual standard but still ok. Pleasant atmosphere and I really enjoyed My pizza we had a tiramisu between us and It was lovely all in all a very pleasant restaurant a little noise but it was very busy All the tables where full.

Nice relaxed atmosphere, pleasant staff, good menu, reasonably priced. A reasonable vegetarian choice for my wife. Meal enjoyed by both of us.

Three of us called in for a late lunch on Thursday and really enjoyed our meals. Started off with a mixture of dough balls and Brushettas followed by two Romana Rustichellas and a Pollo ad Astra Pizza. Really tasty and well cooked. Service was very good, would recommend a visit when in Union Square.

Good pizza, great Caesar salad and the mushroom bruschetta was absolutely delicious. Good experience as we expected. Btw the pizza bases were the best I've tasted for a long time!!

Have visited many times and always have very good food and very good service. The staff are always very helpful and willing to help with dietary requirements.

It is a Pizza Express. So you should no what you are in for. We eat here often and it is a good place. Friendly and good service. Can be busy as it is in the Mall but not as busy as the one on Belmont Street (which we actually prefer)We only had one complaint about a chef not wearing a hairnet, I emailed the place and when we went back he had one on. The customer service was excellent. Happily go here. Like I said it is a Pizza Express. They are all very similar.

I've eaten here 3 times in the last three weeks .The staff are so friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is buzzing, young and fun.The menu has a varied choice and caters well for all ages and vegetarians. The quality of their food is excellent. On my first visit I had a salad, it was fresh and tasty and a generous helping. The second visit was a baked aubergine dish which was delicious and filling with no extra sides required. My third visit was pizza and I went for the romana. My dining partner ordered a different one to me and we swapped out half. Both delicious ... One was the goats cheese the other the ceaser and rocket ... I could not decide which I liked best as they were both so tasty in their own right. I'm not a fizzy juice drinker and I love the fact that you can have a jug of tap water and lemon and the staff are keen to refill. I love this place and I'll be going back very soon. It's a pleasant place in a mall. I like the menu here: it's tasty, varied and decent value for a chain. The staff were busy but we didn't wait long to be seated, served and receive our meal.

was here with my partner not that long ago and the food here was amazing , would have gave it the full five star review but the service of my waiter just let it down a tad with attending to others rather than spacing herself out and not focusing on just one person but other than perfect :)
