Papa John's in Aberdeen City

I had to contact the restaurant myself and go and collect the pizza because the driver cancelled my order and did not let anyone know….

Have to call the restaurant multiple times to get update on my food, they blame it to the delivery staff, ended up waiting for another good 30minutes since they have to make my food again. Pure disappointment

Delivery said he had been given wrong ticket. Yet, tracking had stated for some time it had been Delivered! Needless to say, Pizza was cold. Liars one & all methinks. Almost £20 for a cold soggy Pizza. Fraudulent.

Honestly so disappointing how downhill papa johns has become. This branch in particular always forgot something on my order, happened 5 times in a row now. The worst part is they have stopped giving out their special garlic sauce with pizzas and replaced it with a regular garlic sauce. Sort it out.

The worst food we have ever eaten.

Took nearly an hour for delivery (I live literally 5 mins round the corner) total faff; got a message saying it was being delivered by Uber, then that was cancelled. Food arrived warm but not as hot as I would like (pizza kept ripping as the cheese had cooled and stuck it's self together) would've complained but I was too hungry by that point to wait any longer. Quality was good and the guy at Papa John's I got on the phone was really helpful but over all really dissapointing; could've lived with it taking an hour if the food was piping hot but it had obviously been sitting for a while before it went out to me.

I recently ordered on the website and my delivery was handled through uber eats the driver cancelled the delivery and didn’t give me my order I then phoned the store and spoke to 2 staff members who were amazing help! They remade my order and delivered it through there own service and added a complementary side (they didn’t have to but insisted) great customer service and staff working there and extremely grateful for there help and assistance!! (And very good food of course:)

I'll just keep it short and simple, the current manager is a racist and doesn't redeem vouchers just because he doesn't want to. The service is beyond hostile and insufferable for anyone that just wants to get a pizza.

Complete fail. Food delivered with no sauces - food delivery guy promised to bring them back so i waited but he never came back and food went fully cold. On top of that pizza itself delivered carelessly - moved in box and because od that jalf of jalapeño fell off And pizza side was damaged. Nobody picked up the phone when i called few times to straight this up

Good experience as I have first time visited and taken chicken pizza for a takeaway. The taste is good and I liked it I would recommend it !!

Tried to order our usual from the app. Although I had input my name and contact number app decided it would not complete the order as "needs a first name" even though it was there. Decided to go online and order it instead. Upon logging in noticed it had my old phone number, so deliberately deleted it and input new phone number before continuing and making the purchase. It seems this did not save the new number (by new I've had this number for 4+ years and have manually had to correct it multiple times) and as the portal said our pizza was delivered we had not received it. Upon calling the store the colleague we spoke to, although hurried, tried to fix this issue by making us up new pizzas with a later delivery time. Although I was quite irate the gent was professional and courteous. Delivery driver however has trouble pressing a buzzer, which is frustrating especially since special instructions said to press the buzzer hard, and even more so when the online portal hadn't saved the new number as requested and he supposedly tried to call my old number 5 times. Hopeful to get our food in the next half hour. Please please please update/sort the app and online portal, as this is not the first time we've had issues with it. It is quite possibly the only thing separating you from other competitors. Confident the food will be brilliant as usual. Edit: nevermind, pizza was completely crushed, still edible but poor show

Ordered two pizzas with the special garlic sauce. Pizzas came with no tomato sauce on it, and the wrong sauces. Called to ask for a refund, shop hung up on us 5 times, finally got through to the manager who said he couldn’t refund it because it was a big order (£30) but could remake it. Why would we want two more dry, sauceless pizzas?

ordered BBQ pizza and got tomato base, potato tots hardly any toppings and very dry, pizzas no longer come with garlic butter

They make one of the best pizzas in Aberdeen. Good size and taste for your money It's best for it to be delivered to you because there's no provision for sitting in or dining there

Normally a big fan of papa johns but was greatly disappointed this time round. Ordered two large pizzas and we got two medium sizes instead. There barely any cheese and 1/3 of the pizza didn’t even have any to begin with! The crust was so thick and was roughly around 3 inches. We normally get our pizza from south college street and we were in the area so we got it from this branch! super disappointed! Nahid

Waited 2 hours via deliveroo only to be told once I contacted the bafoon who answered the phone that they weren’t processing orders…… same thing happened last week… if you want fed then I’d strongly advise that you avoid this papa wanks… sorry Johns like the plague

First time order in here and I got crazy fast delivery. Taste was great and same as described. Delivered with perfect manner of keeping instruction. Just fantastic all. I will keep using here

Not had their pizza for years. I remember it being better. But the pizza seemed flavourless. Maybe a seasoning issue?! The jalapeño poppers were good. The cheesy potatoes were just a bit of a non event and the bbq wings were also quite plain. There’s better pizza places that are cheaper. So I probs won’t eat here again. It’s not awful, it’s just not worth the money

For the first since i have been ordering pizza from papa johns… the BQQ chicken i ordered today was the worst, my daughter could not even eat it as the chicken and bacon was not properly cooked 🤢! As i type this i have been purging through the evening

Never received any food & they kept my money. I found out that the shop was shut although they were advertised as open.

They took my money but never delivered the order. They have themselves online on just eat even though their store is closed today, Wow the lowest thing to do on Christmas Day.

Ordered food and it was originally going to be here by 2130. Ended up being 2230 by the time I got it. And it was freezing cold as it was put to the reception of the hotel I’m staying at. They never bothered to call me. Very disappointed

I recently had surgery, unfortunately I’m in a great amount of pain hence the takeaway order. Sadly although the driver was obviously able to find the address as he was right outside I had to painfully make my way up and down the stairs after the order had shown as delivered.

First time I’ve ever had late delivery from Papa Johns. Can never normally fault it, but this was too cold to eat and needed a heat up in the oven!

While the pizza is great, and it arrived, the site was stuck on "order confirmed" until the timer reached the higher limit. It happens always, the people operating the delivery system either got no clue what they're doing or that system is just broken. Loved the food, hated the website experience. The Papa John's website does the same thing so I don't blame Just Eat.

There was nothing delivered to me and i was charged for this normally.

Food didn't show up. Site advises company is open from midnight to 2am however this is not the case. Order was instantly accepted which left us feeling like it was actually going ahead however once the store closing time passed we knew this was not the case.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Placed my order and I’ve been waiting for almost 2 hours with no updates. Tried phoning multiple times and no answer. Now saying delivered. To who? Because it isn’t me. I have asked for a refund.

I ordered dairy free ice cream and got normal ice cream, i ordered cheesy tots and they cane without cheese! Phoned them up and got i’d get my replacement dropped off soon. Phoned back after an hour to ask about my replacement and was then told we are too busy. No apology from them what so ever. Very unhappy customer.

Very happy with the service and the staff. Food tastes really good and staff is very helpful, friendly and kind.

The food wasn't of quality for money

Food was really good and convenient as I was working in a house and didn’t have time to go to shop. But it was really really expensive. £25 for a large pizza and 2 small bottles of juice. Probably won’t use again as it was so expensive

We got a couple of medium pizzas for the £17.99 offer tonight. I did not expect much from a fast food place, but you know what they say, it's always good to have low expectations. The food did take a bit longer to arrive, but it wasn't a problem since I'm in isolation (got all the time in the world) and it wasn't actually that late anyway. The driver was lovely and did indeed provide a contact-free delivery. The pizza was a perfect size (larger than PH medium), arrived hot, with a generous amount of tasty ingredients. I could tell they used better ingredients because the box did not have almost any grease on it and the pizza didn't feel drenched in cheap oil, like other chains' products. The olives and premium cheese blend in particular were standing out, but the crust was also perfect. The butter/garlic sauce was the cherry on top. Overall a filling, delicious meal. I am pleasantly surprised and would definitely order again.

Driver claimed he’d rang my door bell, no he didn’t. Incorrect order when it finally arrived. Called restaurant and still waiting for the correct order 2 hours later. I will NOT use Papa Johns again. Abysmal service. No delivery and now the restaurant doesn’t answer the phone!

Please pass my apologies and thanks to the driver for going the extra mile. I forgot to put my hotel room number and phone never had any signal.

Good classic pizza, with good deals. There is one really nice front staff. They are very friendly and welcoming.

I've been a regular customer of Papa Johns (77 Holburn Street) for the last 8 years. All was perfect, up to the last 4 months. My most recent order was placed online at 7 PM to deliver asap. 1 hour and 20 minutes later, we were still waiting for the pizza. I had to drive to the restaurant and check what happened, and just when I arrived, they started to work on my order, which means, I had to wait 20 extra minutes for the pizzas. For the previous order, I placed it online and asked to be delivered at a specific time of the day. 1 and 20 minutes later, we were still waiting for the pizzas to arrive. When I called and asked what happened, they said they missed that order and would work on it at that time, which means we had to wait 30 more minutes for the pizzas. They arrived almost 2 hours later than the time requested in that day's order.

Excellent service and friendly staff! Pizza was great and staff showed grace and efficiency under pressure. A great experience- I highly recommend!

Didn't get stuffed crust and got wrong toppings. Not too bothered about the toppings but the stuffed crust cost extra.

Called the restaurant re missing items from my order namely the sauces for the chicken poppers for which I selected BBQ, third time sauce for the chicken has been missing. Woman on the phone was seriously lacking in customer service skills and began shouting almost immediately that they don’t offer BBQ sauce with their chicken and if I want sauce I have to pay extra do it, why is it you’re asked to select a sauce with the chicken when ordering in that case :S

Ordered food at 19:25 and didn’t receive it until 22:00, was past the stage of being hungry at this point. Said estimated delivery time would be 20:05-20:25

I just ordered my food tonight and one hour later no message, no update and no food...Called the holburn Street one and he said their system is down and I can get a refund online on the help service but there is no email to access that option...First time wanting to eat from them as it's my birthday but never again...Manager was just rushing me 🙄🙄

Our address is not always easy to find so I give very detailed instructions. The drivers ignore them most of the time. As happened with this order and we had to suffer cold food. What is the point of giving notes to help delivery?

My brother ordered food from woodside branch and paid via card for food, £31 later - NO FOOD DELIVERED - papa johns kept the money and refused to refund!! They are robbing people! The manager of papa johns works at Holburn street! Refused to authorise refund!

Went to bed hungry, food didnt arrive. I was told they rang my doorbell and it didnt work which is nonsense because it does. I made sure my address was correct incase it was my fault. Nope. I phoned to check it was on it's way because it was late. Didnt get a call from the driver if they were lost. They did offer to make another order which was good of them but it was too late and I wasnt waiting over an hour again. Had to then contact support for a refund. Shame because they make good pizzas.
