Pizza Express in Nottingham

Food was great and the staff member serving us was fantastic, i can't remeber her name but she was working around 2pm on Monday 8th April. Very friendly and welcoming.

Me and my friends decided to try out pizza express for a nice Friday lunch treat, but the experience was not equal to the price we had to pay... my friend accidentally ordered a vegan, gluten free margherita pizza and the dough might as well have been raw, she paid 16 pounds for a vegan,gluten free pizza including the dough balls... with a 10 pound discount. The regular margherita was alright I guess, calamari was alright. I just think for the price you have to pay, might as well go to dominos.

Despite being evacuated due to a fire next door. The doughballs were lush!!!

Team were super nice and friendly. Coming over and asking if we wanted or needed anything else. Atmosphere was splendid and the overall design of the interior was nice. On asking for the bill, the lady politely asked me if i had uni days and said how i could save 25% off which saved me a decent chunk of my bill.

Comment: Absolutely loved my first visit to Pizza Express! The Al Forno Pasta and Pollo Fiesta pizza were delicious, and the chocolate fondant dessert was divine. The kids enjoyed their margarita pizza and dessert too. Highly recommend for a delightful dining experience! Can't wait to visit again and try something new on the menu.

Great food and speed of service. Very reliable and consistent as expected with the chain. Even during light night festival. Very accommodating and knowledgeable for the 3 GF eaters on my table. Bonus! The lighting wasn’t too dim as is the case in other locations.

Professional and friendly service.....an excellent lunch👍 The food was INFINITELY better than my local Pizza Express in Newark-on-Trent, which I no longer visit after several poor quality meals, shoddily served. Well done, Nottingham...... Shame about Newark-on-Trent!

Excellent service throughout our visit. The staff were efficient and couldn't do enough for us. I didn't get the ladies name who was looking after us but it was Saturday 3rd Feb around 9pm. She really was so helpful. She was dealing with a few different things but this didn't seem to phase her. 10/10.

Favourite pizza restaurant in Nottingham when we're there to visit our daughter who's studying there. Like the offers, it seems better value for money then.

Not great. I ordered anchovy on my pizza, didn't get it. Not sure why the waitresses don't write down the order. The rosemary chips were soggy and awful. Glass on the table was chipped. It's good to visit this place every now and again to remember why you shouldn't visit this place

Pizza express Nottingham were very welcoming and accommodating to our large party of 30 people. We all had a wonderful evening and the service and food were fantastic. We will visit again.

Arrived as a table of 2 to walk in at 6:10 and was told that it would be available in 2 minutes however we would have to leave at 7pm for a booking, which was fine for us as we are relatively quick eaters. We were sat at a table for two, and upon us sitting down a waitress (not our server) came to our table and accused us of moving it from a table of 4 into a 2 and pushed the tables together saying ‘it should go like this’, even though we hadn’t moved the tables at all. We then waited around 10 minutes to be served, and when we were the waitress had no interest in her job whatsoever. Very monotone, no smiling, expressionless. The food arrived in the same amount of time it took for them to take our order and was relatively tasty so no faults in the kitchen. As someone that has worked in hospitality for 7 years, I’ve found the experience to be mediocre at best…

Average pizza place. OK if you fancy a pizza and want to get out of the rain for an hour or so.

The food was good, the service was good, the atmosphere was noisy and the temperature was a bit cold. After a nice meal we came to pay and were told that we couldn't split the bill (we were 2 couples on 1 table). We were told there is only 1 bill per table and this couldn't be split. We would have sit on separate tables as our friends to have different bills. One of us had the pizza express app and the other has tesco vouchers and they wouldn't let us pay separately as they were different offers. Thier system was too rigid to be able to accommodate separating the bill. Thankfully the manager was accommodating but he made it clear it is not to company policy to allow two different offers to be used on one table. We were only 2 couples, what if it is a larger group? What a rigid and inflexible system. Check before you order!

I ordered through UberEats. I called ahead to the restaurant because I cannot eat cheese (requested my pizza without cheese). Josh was absolutely lovely! When I called ahead he was such a breath of fresh air! After I’d ordered for delivery I quoted my order and he was more than willing to accommodate my requests. He even asked if I was dairy intolerant to potentially make changes to the starter that I ordered. I would definitely recommend Josh as a server! Thankyou.

All good here! It's a Pizza Express, so you know what you're getting food wise. The staff make the difference and they are excellent here!

This was my first time visiting and it didn't disappoint. The pizza was so nice. We had the mushroom and the other was prawn and it was one of the best I've ever had. The service was great too!

One of my favourite places to get pizza (or pasta). Gorgeous food and a nice atmosphere too, me and my friends had a blast. A little on the prices side tho, but worth it.

Very busy on the evening we went here. Food was as good as always. Had to wait a fair while to be served but once the amount of customers decreased things improved. All staff very nice

The standards have slipped the food was vile. Chicken wings were very anaemic and had to be placed in the oven for 30.mins Very overpowering star aineese flavour and smell. Absolutely vile. Has to throw away. Tried reseasoning but the star ainesse couldn't be covered 🤮🤮🤮

Disgusting treatment here, I normally go for dinner & have been to pizza express all over the uk for years but not this one until a couple weeks back, this is the worst branch & the worst experience, THEY HAVE A CONTAMINATION PROBLEM. I had a really horrible food poisoning experience here from the prawns & after a long whole of hounding them down to help support my situation suggesting at least a refund had I left most of my meal due to the reaction happening & poor service which was the least they could do, customer service thought it was smart to send me a gift voucher to eat there again to solved the problem.. it’s not the money I spent because I willingly wanted to spend money on a great meal but from my reaction the least they could’ve done is reimburse me for their trouble, me & my mother spent almost £80 here & had split the bill between us for a lovely dinner that was spoiled by their contamination problem I have never had such a reaction from a restaurant in my 20 years of life, the place seems to have gone into a spiral & I hope it closes for good. horrible place.

The constant upsell, overpriced drinks, super overpriced sides (£6 for a small bowl of rocket!) Just spoil the whole thing really. So many better options for the money - pizza was tasty though.

This place was okay, food was okay, atmosphere flat. Over priced pizza. Not good value. Not great at selling the offer from the board outside even when we asked.

Still continue to be my one of favourites places to eat! The bruschetta originale is the best things I have ever had! Always fast and profesional service and relatively affordable!!

My friend invited me here for a meal, saying the food was great. However, after we ordered, the staff spilled water on my leg. While I didn’t mind the spill, what bothered me was that after moving us to a corner seat, they completely ignored us. I even had to get my own water from the bar. The two people at the bar seemed to be more interested in their own conversation than in serving customers, acting like two comedians rehearsing lines. It took almost 30 minutes from the time we ordered until our food arrived. And then, 10 minutes after our meal was served, they brought us another dish that we didn’t order. Even after I returned it, it still appeared on our bill. It took the bar staff nearly 15 minutes to sort this out. I don’t understand… it took me almost 20 minutes just to pay the bill. While the food was good, the overall experience was very uncomfortable…………..

De Pizza Express is alleen voor pizza. Die smaakt prima en heeft verse ingrediënten. De bodem en korst zouden wat knapperiger mogen, al denk ik dat het deeg niet helemaal hetzelfde is als de Italiaanse pizza's. Het personeel is vriendelijk en heel attent. Ik wilde een nagerecht zonder koffie of thee. De serveerster vertelde echter dat het nagerecht dat ik koos incl. een warme drank was. Dat had ik niet begrepen. Dus attent dat ze mij er op wees. Als je veel honger hebt zou ik wel een voorgerecht nemen, want de pizza's zijn niet heel groot.

the waiter was absolutely lovely i never got her name though.was my first time going and i will most definitely be returning, the food was lovely and the service was amazing as soon as we walked in i was seated with my friends. all of the staff were more than lovely. 100%reccomend

Came in quite late with a table of 9 but was still seated. The waitress and manager were nice and accommodating and the food was excellent.

One of the best places I’ve eaten this year, so far food was immaculate and had the best server ( Nat) was so polite and checked on us to make sure our food was okay. I had to even check if my food had any nuts in it and she was very helpful to check for me. overall will return for many more times.

We arrived and saw it was full so thought we was not going to be able to get a table but Peter the manager on duty this night was so helpful and got us in my sister was in a wheelchair and he got us on the ramp and got a table cleared and got us sorted so thank you for this you really made my sisters night with all the help definitely recommended great places super friendly and helpful

Very very slow service. They look too busy but at the end they forgot my order 🙄😄😄😄😄😄...what a moment. Then it was reminded. OMG. Infact pizza was tasty, that doesn't mean everything with very poor servicing. They are keen in giving food to takeaways. I should do that next time.

Just wanted to say had a amazing meal at your restaurant on Friday had a amazing time and the manager was very nice he served us as we saw the staff were busy believe he was American or Canadian sorry if we got it wrong his name was Peter on the receipt thank you for the recommendation on food we will definitely be coming back in when in the area again

From the moment we entered the restaurant your staff were helpful and friendly, they clearly enjoy their job: interactions didn’t feel at all forced. They seemed to support each other as part of one team, and it overflowed into the genuine way they treated all their customers which you rarely see these days in the service industry. This is one visit that will make me sure to return to Pizza Express again and again.

Charlie was an amazing waiter, not only did he attend to our every need instantly he was able to keep us fully stocked with drinke, food and the penultimate service! This man is unstoppable!!

Came in with a couple of friends. Small restaurant for those who are interest in a casual and intimate vibe! Highly recommend Charlie as your server, he is great at recommendations and is so keen on satisfying your weekend/weekday expectations. Furthermore, the food is divine, but my most memorable moment is the limoncello shots, appreciating home where the heart is.

Been here a few times now but this was easily the best experience I’ve had, Charlie was my waiter and made the whole evening for me and my friends amazing. His service was superb with his ability to have a laugh with us all. Cheers Chaz

Terrible service. Don't eat here. Booked in advance. Waited over an hour still no food. Queue of takeaway just eat drivers outside all being served before us. At no point did any servers come over to explain anything or apologise for the wait. Appalling. Boo. Terrible. Go somewhere else.

Rating 1. Pizza> Pollo Forza Classic. It was huge. 2 people can share. The dough was delicious, recommended for the spicy pizza lovers. 2. Lasagna Romana > was soft, creamy and filling. Big bowl. 2 people can share. 3. Garlic mushrooms with goat cheese. It was creamy and flavourful. We got the free dough balls by downloading the app. 4.Drinks > we got the Pink apple juice & Passionfruit. Both the drinks were refreshing & a must try

Only the pizza was great. the calamari was served burnt. Glasses and fork -knife were given dirty. I think it's a restaurant that has never been controlled, left in the hands of young people. i do not recommend

Proberly the worse pizza experience I've had food was terrible starter was garlic bread with cheese was just a plate of doe not cooked properly didn't eat it, pizza nightmare to cut up your self why not already cut I dont know , went cold very quickly , dessert was lemon roulade was like a brick , latte was not even made properly waste of 36 quid won't be going back at all

Gorgeous venue, I'm a frequent visitor to Pizza Express and this one is not too big, intimate and the staff really care. Food is excellent as always but we were missing a pizza, which we flagged straight away and the chef had made a mistake. Both waitresses apologised despite it not being their fault, but this is greatly appreciated. The replacement pizza for the missing one turned up really fast. Lovely place.

I've been throwing my guts up for 3 days after eating here, came out for a nice dinner on my birthday on the 22nd, still throwing up on Christmas day it's absolutely ruined my Christmas. do not eat the sea food from here, I knew I should have sent them back as my dish was cold and seemed off. I will be contacting the local food safety authorities to report this issue as I've almost been admitted to hospital with severe food poisoning. I'll also be contacting to demand a full refund. Such a shame because this has always been my favourite place to eat. I will say the American lady that was our server was lovely even though she was extremely busy she still made Time for us.
