Pizza Express in Renfrewshire

Me and my partner have been ordering takeaway pizza recently from here! Pizza has been prompt and super tasty!! Would return

Service was slow. Food overpriced. Risotto was very bland. Pizzas very small but tasty. Friendly staff, but won’t be back.

Food was just ok although my pizza was missing one of the key ingredients mentioned in the menu (sultanas on the veneziana pizza, not a single one in sight). Service was not great either. When clearing the table from starter dishes the waitress spilled some leftover sauce on the table and just left it. She couldn’t have missed it, we cleaned it ourselves after waiting a bit to see if she would come back. Waited a long time for main course to come out as well. And just overall, not warm or friendly service at all. Won’t be returning.

There were 4 of us, we had 2 starters, (2 small garlic and cheese bread) , a pizza each, with 1 sweet, and 3 cokes, just under £75, yes it was all very nice, and the staff were very friendly, but i thought expensive for what it was. I know there is rent and staff etc to pay for but really if the costs were more reasonable people would use them more, and not just a Friday or Saturday night. Rant over cheers to all staff.

Nice pizza and lovely staff but watch out for the add ons £2 for what looked like 1 maybe 2 mushrooms and £2 for what looked like 1 slice of onion and £2 of possibly 1 jalapeno which I had to remove because it was hotter than any I've ever had before. My advice is choose a pizza on the menu cos customising it in any way will cost you.

Pizza express need to look at their marketing. Please don't send email birthday promotions as you can't offer it in Scotland. It doesn't indicate that you can't have the prosecco drink offer in Scotland in the offer. The alternative that is given once you are informed by staff when you have arrived, falls very short of reasonable offer. It is more than disappointing and could be seen as misleading. The staff are fine etc, but they are constrained by the poor marketing and probably fed up with having to explain it to customers.Please don't send these misleading emails.

Nice decor and spotlessly clean. We were in the window and felt overlooked by people passing. It was a quiet afternoon which probably explained why there wasn’t much atmosphere. Nice to see the chef cooking our orders live! The food was ok, nothing outstanding but nothing sub par either. Won’t remember it but it filled a space at the time.

Popped in for lunch. We all loved there pizza and the staff where nice. Nothing special but a lot better than others we have been too.

Next to a cinema so you would have thought that they would be geared up for families going to the cinema. They certainly are not. It took 50 minutes for the pizzas to arrive and this meant we rushed the main courses and had to cancel the kids deserts that were paid for.I had to chase the Manager for the main course, as they were oblivious that we had not been served.Time to change the name of the restaurant to be more in keeping with service..

We had tesco vouchers to use and decided on pizza express Two had pizzas which were fine. However I ordered the legged pepperonata which is under Al forno on the menu. It had not been in the oven at all. It was warm maybe due to a cold plate. I was hungry and ate it but it was very unassuming to say the least! Boring even. No sign of any rosemary which would have given it some flavour. Chef needs to check menu to see what he is sending out. Apart from that staff really nice and under some pressure as kitchen couldn't cope with a 3/4 full restaurant.

Had not had pizza for a long time as we have been watching our weight,but we decided that after being at the cinema there that we would go for it and I was really looking forward to it.For starters I had the Calamari and my wife had the Crab Balls, which were both good. After our starter plates were removed it was about 45 minutes before our main courses arrived. My wife had the Leggera Pollo which was good but my Sloppy Giuseppe Pizza was disappointing. The Hot Spiced Beef was little cubes like dog meat and there was not a lot of it. The pizza was really underwhelming and I certainly will not be rushing back for a pizza any time soon, and certainly not to Pizza Express at Braehead.

Would not eat here again even if I got it for free!!! I received a voucher for my birthday so I thought I would try it even though I’ve walked past several times and seen the place empty and thought no thanks. I went in and ordered food. The ragu pizza was disgusting, the other two were barely edible. Nearly £5 for a portion of chips and there was 8 chips (4 of which were burnt) that didn’t look or taste like chips. Wasn’t highlighted to me prior to ordering they weren’t normal chips and they were also served with cheese which wasn’t highlighted. My husband doesn’t like cheese. I spoke to server and told her 8 chips would not nearly be enough and I wasn’t happy about the fact four of them were burnt. Sent another portion which I was charged extra for! Ordered a fresh orange with lemonade which was served in a small glass. Recieved my bill to find I had been charged for a full fresh orange and full lemonade and they told me that was normal to be charged for two drinks. I spoke to the manager and told her that I wasn’t happy paying for 2 drinks considering the size of the glass. She removed the orange juice although I could tell she wasn’t happy about it. They don’t have any condiments!! No tomato sauce which I think is ridiculous. I went with my three children and like most children they asked for sauce to be looked at like I was asking for something alien. After complaining about being charged £5 for 8 half burnt chips I could then see the manager discussing me several times and the whole meal was extremely uncomfortable. Found it to be extremely over priced

I really expected so much more for the price of the pizzas. The presentation was good however I found the pizza very dry and lacking in cheese. The fries and coleslaw as sides were lovely

Went here for a meal before going to the cinema upstairs. The restaurant was empty so were a little wary, However the pizza and staff were excellent. Expensive for what it is but there are plenty of vouchers out there.

Called in on Friday evening for dinner as we were staying quite close by. One of our party has a milk allergy and he was delighted to dicover there were a number of options available. We opted for the two course special menu @ £11.95 and had thoroughly enjoyable well presented tasty food. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive.

Came here with family including. 5 year old granddaughter . The waiter who served is was so good , but we didn't get his name . She had bought a soft toy dog and he asked if the dog would like a bowl of water , what a way to make someone feel good . Our granddaughter was so excited and it renewed our faith in customer service .

Popped in for lunch on Saturday. Very quiet. Decided we wanted starters and a drink - so ordered. Waitress unsmiling and no chat - whole environment not friendly. Food ok - son had dough balls - nice - and I have anti pasto starter - tasteless and sad looking. Won’t be hurrying back!

This is definitely a restaurant to miss. Absolutely no atmosphere and pizzas very disappointing, tasteless and way overpriced.The draught fizzy drinks were flat and all in all a bad experience. No wonder the restaurant was almost empty on a Thursday evening.

Not much to say really. Ordered 4 pizzas and it took a hour to arrive at the table. Not very expressy......

Delicious pizza and starters...wine was lovely....the waiter was fab ...can’t remember his name sadly. The kids asked for extra garlic butter, extra Parmesan cheese...”extra everything”....the staff were lovely, funny and MORE than accommodating to us! Can’t wait to go back again....loved it!!

Speedy service, restaurant was busy enough but seen quickly and served quickly. Enjoyed the food, standard menu.

quite a number of unusual options but basically standard Italian with a twist - nice twist which I did enjoy but I was surprised at the ultimate bill - came with a voucher for $40 but still paid further $80 for party of 4 (pound sign not working!!). Going over the bill it was a little uplift on everything, which was probably justified.

Booked for a big family lunch ..4 children 7 adults.... table service was good .. but.. the food was very very disappointing...the majority ordered pizza which was tasteless ... the sauce and cheese was so thinly spread it was like eating a piece of cardboard .. the cost was £220... dessert was also poor..

I haven't been for ages and saw the 3 course for £13.95 deal and was going to the cinema upstairs. We booked online staff were lovely and helpful. Booked for an hour and 15 minutes before the start of the film. service was so slow despite being quiet but there were 2 birthday parties in and lots of serving staff but only 2 cooks. We had the garlic brea and tomato mozarella salad to start. la Reine pizza and broad bean rigatoni as mains. Chocolate cake and ice cream as desserts. The main took ages to arrive and were tiny. They have definately shrunk in size from the last time I had the deal. Others full prize pizzas looked fine but other tables had problems not getting starters and pizza arriving first. The food was tasty enough but I wouldn't rush back despite the helpful staff getting us out on time for the cinema.

Taking my elderly mother for a meal at Intu Soar at Braehead was an easy decision – she loves pizza so we made tracks for Pizza Express on the ground floor. We visited on Easter Saturday when Soar was absolutely mobbed but we were greeted by a friendly member of staff and escorted immediately to our table. Our starter was marinated olives which were delicious – but very heavily seasoned with garlic which I could still taste 4 hours later! I opted for my usual of a Padana (Goats Cheese) pizza whilst mum had a personalised Leggara Margherita with additional ham, red onion and peppers. Despite being busy, we didn’t have to wait long for our food which was delicious – and both our plates were left clean. I also appreciated the pizza wheel provided with both meals. The bill was reasonable although I did think £1.70 additional charge for each of my mother’s extras was a bit excessive (£5.40 for ham, red onion and peppers which were all rather sparse on the finished product!) All in all though, a great meal!

This was our first time in pizza express as we were given vouchers for our Christmas and I'm glad it was vouchers we had as I certainly wouldn't have paid any of our cash for it. The Classic American was the cheapest quality looked like a frozen pizza and tasted worse, the doughballs to start were hard and my chicken pizza was burnt at the ends. I didn't feel I should complain as I was using gift cards but I will 100% not be back. Over priced for what it is.

We visited Braehead on Christmas eve for a family wee afternoon out. We decided to go into pizza express and so glad we did. The staff and experience was Great! We have twin boys and the staff could not have been more helpful with finding us a table and place for the twin buggy, also when we ordered a soup for the boys they split it into 2 and let it cool before bringing it over in plastic child friendly bowls with cutlery, this was away above and beyond there line of duty but we are very greatful! Thank you so much for contributing to our 1st Christmas eve with our special boys, it couldn't have been better!! X

Was very impressed with my visit. We booked on a 25% discount website. Food is rather exspensive I feel but what we had was really tasty. I had a vegan cheese pizza and it was amazing. Dairy free due to allergies so it was a real treat to eat pizza. Only complaint was the salad which was really poor £4 for some limp lettuce, cucumber and tomato that was swimming in a creamy dressing and covered in loads of black pepper, truelly horrible and needs to be rethought. Our servers where very friendly.

Went here 30/9 and staff were decent and friendly. Food came fast, got half way through my pizza just to find a hair melted in with the cheese. Didn't even bother having desserts after that.

Went here early evening with my son. The tables are crammed together so much so that you feel the people next to you are dining with you! You could easily hear them, pick up their glass of wine for a taste or a wee slice of their pizza! Nightmare!

Visited with the kids this week ahead of having tickets for the cinema. What should have been a quick lunch turned out to be 1 1/2 hrs of waiting on our food. The waitress was friendly and was clearly trying with another young colleague but overwhelmed by the number of diners. Poor management planning and little sign of them on the floor for a school holiday. When we finally received our food it was bland - recommending dining else where in the complex.

Popped into Pizza Express after snowboarding. Restaurant had a nice atmosphere and staff were very friendly and welcoming. Food was very good indeed, enjoyed starters and pizzas. Really enjoyed the whole experience, reasonable value for money.....approx £20 per head for starter, main, drinks and tip.

We arrived at 7 and the restaurant wasn't too busy, it was about half full. We ordered starters and they didn't arrive for 30 minutes which was really disappointing. The garlic bread with mozzarella didn't have much garlic flavouring to it and the dough balls weren't very warm as if they had been sitting out for a while.Our mains arrived faster and the pizzas were actually really nice. The waitress offered us free coffee but we couldn't accept because we had a snowboarding lesson to get to.The environment of the restaurant was alright but the waitresses were near enough running through the restaurant in a hurry which was really off putting. I would go back in the future at some point and hopefully we would have a better experience but not too soon.

I like pizza express, its one of my favourite chain restaurants. On this occasion the food was up to the usual standard, very nice salad and great tasting pizza, the service however was amazing, very efficient, very friendly and helpful. I just found that the general ambiance in the restaurant did not make this an enjoyable occasion. The lighting was so bright it was like being on the dentist's chair and the lack of soft furnishing, hard flooring make the slightest background noise a dreadful din.

After our first choice at the excellent family restaurant Toni Macaroni was scuppered by the prospect of a 90 minute wait for a table my fiance and I decided to give Pizza Express a go with our 3 hungry children in tow. First impressions were decent, it was fairly busy, very clean and the staff were friendly and welcoming. We were seated immediately and the excellent waitress took our drinks order within a couple of minutes. Drinks arrived quickly then we placed our food orders, great start! Then I noticed something strange. Despite the restaurant being fairly busy hardly anyone was eating? But we waited patiently, and we waited, and we waited some more. 45 minutes in total before our main courses arrived. The main courses were quicker than the starters though because they arrived about 15 minutes later! The food was alright but nothing special. I am not precious about these things, I'm not expecting Michelin starred food at a family place but at 12 quid a main course I felt it could have been better. We have been to places like Zizzis and Di Maggios with the kids and loved it because it's been good quality food, served quickly and much cheaper than this. Next time I will wait the 90 mins for Toni Macaroni as we would likely still have eaten at the same time anyway

Part of a large group of engineers taking a movie at the cinema (hidden figures)We decided to opt for pizza express for lunch to network after the movie and discuss our timetable of events for the upcoming year so was a mix of social and business lunch, the atmosphere certainly lent itself well by providing us plenty of space and a nice quiet and relaxed venue, even though the restaurant was busy the layout wasn't overbearing and didn't feel crowded.Because there was such a large number of us dining I can't possibly remember many of the food options chosen but plenty of hugs and water, the right amount of attention and service fromThe waiting staff and speedy delivery of food from the kitchen left everyone happy The majority of us opted for the specials deals of two or tree courses which proved to be good value I chose the mozzarella and tomato salad and the lower calorie options pizzas and have to say I thoroughly enjoyed them and will definitely be adding the place to my must try another visit list

Good food, friendly staff and excellent location. Love the menu, I always get goats cheese pizza when I go to a Pizza Express but opted for the salmon risotto this time which was also delish!!Loads of discounts available for Pizza Express and they usually give you 'money off' cards for your next visit! I spend all my Tesco Clubcard vouchers on Pizza Express and Zizis.

This restaurant was conveniently located near to the Travelodge at which we were staying for the curling championship at the Arena. The service by the friendly staff was very good and we enjoyed our meals. With the ski centre and other facilities in the building, the restaurant, understandably, had lots of families with young children.

As a regular customer of Pizza Express, I was looking forward to the usual high standard of food and service, however the restaurant was not busy, and we waited over 40 minutes for our order only to receive an undercooked pizza. Although we received a replacement which was fine, it begs the question why it took so long for our original order and then only a few minutes for the replacement.

We have always been happy with our pizza's in Pizza express and if it's a pizza you are looking for you can't go far wrong, they always seemed flexible and eager to please. However, on our last visit, when I stood up to leave my trousers got caught in a broken part of the wood seat, it pulled a hole in them. I didn't realise how big the hole was till we left, but as it was quite a pull and the chair has some splintered wood I told the server so it wouldn't happen to anyone else. All she said was 'ok', and that was it. It has put me off returning to the restaurant again. To be so flippant with something that could perhaps hurt someone and not even say they would remove the chair, or thanks, on top of ruining my trousers, has just put me off. I doubt we will return.

Meat feast type thug was lacking in depth/distinction. However all other orederswee excellent. Service was good and prompt. Staff were very polite and attentive. Priced a bit above competitive outlets, again meaty version was disappointing.. .

We love pizza express. Dough balls go down a treat with adults and kids alike and I really like the lower calorie options (both pizza and pasta) which are really tasty and help me stick to my diet. My little boy and husband absolutely love the desserts on offer too. Cant wait for our next visit

Just your average Pizza place. Good size pizza. Good taste. If in the area would visit again. Quick service.

Food was delicious. No need to add salt or pepper. Service is slower than expected. Lovely music background. Staff very friendly.

My husband, 8 year old son and myself visited the restaurant tonight for dinner after a session on the ski slopes. I booked a table for 6.15pm through the Tastecard website. We arrived on time and checked at the time of ordering what was included on the 2 for 1 Tastecard deal. Our server confirmed that starters, sides, desserts and main courses were included. My sons dough ball starter came, however we waited 55 minutes on main course arriving. We had to ask on how long our pizza would take as the wait was unreasonable and the restaurant was not busy, less than half full. The food itself was ok, however, the service was extremely slow and we were also brought coleslaw which we didn't order. When my husband got the bill it seems expensive for what we had. I noticed that both our sides were included. By this time it was so late that we left without having the bill adjusted. It was a disappointing experience, and would affect my decision in returning. Needs to do better, especially since it is usually my sons favourite restaurant.

Pizzas were really tasty, service was great, staff were friendly and helpful. Kids portions are just right.

Not sure if they go the extra mile because of the competition in SOAR, but this place always has a welcome for its customers. The thin pizzas (Romano) are excellent and they don't make you feel over-full (even with a starter). Toppings are delicious and the pizzas are made (thrown) on the premises. Nice wines too (even though they were 'house wines').

Good quality meal using two for one deal on Tastecard. Impressed by the options for Gluten Free Pizzas. Great service as well from friendly staff.

Went and booked tonight as we were going to the cinema,we normally go to another branch in byres road as closer and a nice part of the city.we waited at the reception area for a few minutes to be seen even though we booked a table on-line.Just kept watching loads of the colleagues not noticing us.there was probably around 10.The man in the shirt with glasses never seemed in control of organising.When the food came it was super.Some of the team seemed switched on but they waiters sorry not.first time l have been to this chain and not spoke to the manager,never asked if my meal was okay,had my head turned round looking for the bill for ages.waitness never thanked me and wish had not left a tip as she was not bothered .Jug of water was warm ,small amount of ice melted promptly ,only place l ask as calzone is lovely but prefer water to soft drink.Will return again and hopefully better,booked for 7.30 and was getting quiet,maybe too many colleagues and just chat away with each other .However l will say the food had better portion size and could not fault at all.Calzone amazing and my wires pizza with carolamised onion

Went with a group of friends. Service was fine and so was atmosphere. We all enjoyed it but found it extremely overpriced for pizza. The topping portions are also very mean especially for meat. We wouldn't go back.

Visited with our Grandson and although the food service wasn't very quick, it was worth the wait. I'm not a huge fan of Pizza in this country, much preferring the authentic Italian Pizza in Italy, I did enjoy the Pollo Forza Pizza and the Dough balls are a lot nicer than you get in some other places

We were told that we would have a 10 min wait for someone to take our drinks order then up to half an hour wait for our food to arrive, this took 45 mins that's fine but it wasn't even that busy, eventually the4 adults in our group got their pizza which were lovely but the poor 2 and 3 year old had to wait for theirs??.. I mean come on we had nearly finished and had to ask again where theirs was a shared child's pizza ...don't understand that at all, eventually their shared child's pizza came with bubbling cheese.. No more to say but no thank you we won't cross your door way again

We thought we would eat dinner at Pizza Express prior to our daughter's skiing lessons and allowed 1.25 hours for dinner. Unfortunately we were told there would be a 45 minute wait on food order and it was nearly 55 minutes by the time we received our main meals which meant we felt rushed as we didn't want to be late for the skiing lesson. Not sure if we would choose Pizza Express next time; there are other choices.

Over the years we have eaten in a number of Pizza Express outlets. They provide great food at good value. There's normally a good selection of vouchers available to get money off the meal. The visit to Escape did not disappoint. The welcome and service was great - despite the fact they were really busy. The menu provides lots of choices and caters for all ages. All in all a very good meal and visit. The American Pizza was a little overdone which is why I've not given 5 stars. A worthwhile place to visit for a family meal.

Enough time had elapsed to have forgotten that our previous visits have beenof the never again variety and this restaurant is in a mighty handy location next to a host of appallingly poor eateries so we gave it another chance.A 40 minute food wait ensued (again) in a half full restaurant which is inexcusable andeminently avoidable with competent front of house management.When it eventually did arrive with a (well rehearsed?) cursory apology the pizzaslooked like they had been ordered from the children's menu. Ten quid for a tiny handkerchief of sparsely topped dough ! More laughable still is the lightweight option which involves surreptitiously cutting a hole in the tiny dough to reduce the calories . The hole is then concealed with a few lettuce leaves. Brilliant. The customer will never notice because they will be so grateful for the food finally arriving....I used to think Pizza Express had a strong brand based on quality food,service,top wines all packaged at a value price-It now makes me feel like the mission statement is to offer as little as possible at a high price very very slowly. The ops directors require tovisit this branch as customers to see for themselves the damage it is doing to the reputation of the chain.Never again?

Thank you pizza express, after a stressful experience at Tony Roma where gross incompetence led to an egg free meal being served with egg in it for a 2nd time you saved our night.Staff helpful, they understood fool allergies gave allergy advice and meal lovely

Food was okay. Waited a while to be seated and the hostess dismissed us after showing us our table. Waited a while before a waitress came. Food took ages to come out. It was busy which is fine don't mind waiting but lots of staff appearing to be fannying about while 2 poor girls rushed about trying to serve everyone.

I'm not a huge pizza fan, but went for dinner here with a friend before the cinema. Must admit, pizza was superb, such a thin crust (defo the way to go), topping amazing too! Severed by 2 different staff members throughout visit. Both attentive and friendly. Would go back.

Always surprises me when I go into this particular pizza express and there's less than 30 customers but I get told it's a 40 minute wait they really need to pick up their game in here if you can't cope hire more staff!

We had a very short time in which 5 of us placed orders and had them served promptly. Thank you for helping to make our short lunchtime pleasant. Our waiter was fab!

Excellent fresh tasting food. Portion sizes a bit on the big size but that's just me being picky. Not a complaint!

With the kids, we were given a table (we were a large group) to accommdate us all. Staff were very helpful, friendly and attentive. Kids enjoyed it, we enjoyed it - all in all a lovely experience, just what you woudl expect from Pizza Express.

What's not to like the service was fast but. To too fast to be suspicious.The food we had was lovely and healthy salads We were seated straight away and had good friendly service, will definitely be back .

I visited with my family & was quite horrified by the whole experience! Firstly the manager (I presume as she was the only one without an apron) was extremely rude, we had pre booked and she pointed to the opposite side off the restaurant and said "the end table" dismissively and totally uninterested. She then handed us 2 kids menus when there were 3 & 1 adult menu!! We then sat for 10 minutes & were totally ignored!! Eventually a fairly pleasant waitress took our order! Food average!Totally mucked up bill!Not acceptable service or attitude, won't be returning!!

I can't believe how people have gave this more than one star. I ordered a cheese pizza and carbonara, when they came the pizza was redicuoliusly thin and slightly burnt !! Because it was so thin it didn't hold any heat so was freezing very quickly. Also the carbonara wasn't pasta and was actually a pizza ? Maybe my fault for reading the menu wrong but should be more clear. Also they don't do tomato sauce ? Never been in a restaurant that doesn't have that... For 2 pizzas and 3 drinks it came to nearly £43 which is shocking... Our waiter Fraser was nice but still can't give it more than one star due to the food and price

My family and I went here after snowboarding. We just wanted good food quickly and that's what we got. It was quiet but. That didn't bother us. We had garlic dough balls and buffalo mozzarella salad to start. Then I had American hot pizza and it was spicy and tasty. Then boys got pizzas too. We all left a piece of pizza which I asked staff to put in box for take away. The staff brought the box to the table were we then put the pizza into the box. Staff were polite but not very chatty. We used a 25% off code Which I got from pizza express web site. It would have been a bit pricey otherwise for a quick dinner. But we were all happy.

Went with five other friends for evening meal. Something lacking but couldn`t quite think what. Food service slow but when food came it was enjoyed by all. The one thing was the background music very loud. I was glad to leave the noise. Will go back it might have been an off evening. Not a cheap meal. So need to think about long and hard if they want customers to return.

Visited here today for my Son's 10th Birthday, arrived and guy asked us where did we want to sit and I said "let the Birthday Boy pick", normally i find that then the member of staff would say "Happy Birthday" but nothing. Before we ordered I told waiter that I had a voucher cloud code and told him what it was, he said that was fine. While waiting for our order I visited the ladies, to find a very wet floor and a sanitary bin with no lid and it was full, totally unaceptable. Food was good, asked for the bill gave the voucher cloud code and the guy was ages, then comes up and said I cant take that code because of what you ordered. He then said, I should have told you when you ordered that I couldnt take it. Very disapointed in the service and that this is the 2nd time I have tried to use a voucher cloud in Pizza Express and there is always a problem

We arrived about 11.40 on a Sunday - we were the second table in the whole place.We ordered margarita pizza and Fiorentina pizzas.Both were lovely and fresh however they took 30 mins despite a totally empty restaurant.When I asked the person bringing them why they took so long she said "sorry I will ask" but I never got a response or apology as she must have forgotten to come back to me.Lovely pizza but service, speed and customer focus needs a bit of work.

Terrible from start to finish. Staff just doesn't care, probably because it's a chain restaurant. Avoid if possible.

I took my 13 year old daughter and her 3 friends up to Braehead as a birthday treat. We had 2 activities booked on the day and had left 2 hours between them to have lunch and have a wander afterwards...In short this was a bad experience all round! We were seated for 20 minutes before anyone came and took a drink order, the waiter seemed taken aback when I requested to order food at the same time. The cutlery on the table hadn't been washed properly and had pieces of encrusted food. Every ladies toilet cubicle had had the door locks removed. Service was excruciatingly slow. They brought me the wrong pizza, then asked "are you happy just to eat it?" Eh no!! By the time my order arrived for the 2nd time, all 4 girls had finished there meal and I had 10 mins left to eat before our afternoon booking. In fairness the waiter explained to the manager and my pizza was taken off the bill, I was also given a box for if I wanted to take it away. Not really practical prior to skiing, doubt it would fit in the locker. Would have been more appropriate for the manager to speak to me personally instead of leaving the young waiter to apologise. All round a fairly dire experience, never again.

Good experience at this pizza express. Usual high standards and you can usually get a table. Often make a visit after a couple of hours in the Snow Factor. They don't mind if you come in with all the ski gear which is great.Service good and you know what you are going to get.

Always good at Pizza Express and this normally quiet restaurant was very busy during our family visit on Sunday. Very attentive waiter looked after us. Salads for the slimmers were beautifully prepared and our order for pizzas were delivered exactly as ordered.We used our Taste Card which gave us a discount which was a pleasant bonus.Excellent food stop from our favourite pizza parlour.

Never had a bad pizza from Pizza express cooked just the way I like , thin and crispy. Drinks (big bottle of peroni ) is pricey. Remember you are in a leisure complex so its buzzing with the noise of excited kids and families but the friendly staff cater for everyone's needs. Don't go for a romantic dinner for 2 ! Quick turnover if you efficiently want in and out but we were not rushed. Good experience overall.

Picked this chain as it's always consistent. Booked on line a week in advance, however we had to change the time of the booking and were easily accommodated. We all had the antipasto to start there was a group of 6 so we ordered 2 which was sufficient. Pizzas were fab we all had the Romano extra thin bases, recommend the Padana if you are a goats cheeses lover like me! We were too full for coffee and desserts. Staff were excellent and brought pencils and crafts to the table for my niece and nephew too. Lovely Xmas family atmosphere.

Me and my partner recently visited here with a voucher from amazon local. The service was great and fast and the food was amazing we had a really good selection to choose from that was included in the voucher.

visited here Friday night before cinema and got 15% off when showed cinema ticket.The whole visited was lovely,the waiters are professional and friendly.Our waiter recommended the wine which was a lovely New Zealand Saviougn Blanc.We shared a caesar salad and carbonara thin crust pizza,delicious.

Loved the family friendly approach to the kids. Pencils, stickers and colouring paper to entertain plus space to leave all our ski kit while we dined. Great experience

If you know Pizza Express, you know what to expect. That said, the staff were very friendly and efficient, and the general air was one of informality and smiles. A good place to top off a session on the ski slope.

Came in here to eat on a cold, wet evening. 1 other couple seated.We ordered our 2 pizza's, helped ourselves to the salad bar and waited for our drinks.The drinks came after a huge wait (wait for what? - the place was near empty) and was flat.There was a pile of sick on the floor below a table across from where we were seated. - it took ages for someone to come and clean this up.The staff spent most of their time chatting.We had to ask for re-fills several times.The food was not good value for money and it is no wonder the place was empty.Will never go back to this place EVER.

So Pizza Express - its a chain right? You get what you pay for? Wrong! Can't fault the Pizza Express in Braehead on the day that we visited, staff friendly and attentive (but not over attentive), food whilst "standard" well presented and delivered hot to the table. This location is very convenient for Xsape and also walkable from the Braehead Shopping Centre. Whilst its not a "glamorous" place for a meal out, you'll certainly get excellent value for money and come away feeling like a valued customer.

Visited here recently with the family for lunch, the place was full but service was efficient and the pizza great but the jug of tap water we ordered left a slick of grease on the surface when we poured out the glasses, baulk!

Visited this restaurant on sat, had not eaten in a pizza express for years. Still as good as I remember. Loved loved loved it. pizza delicious. kids meal good value too. ice cream and sweets yummy will defo be back very soon.

Popped in for lunch with my friend and service and food was very good. The Melanzane parmagianna is to die for. Give it a go nice change from pizza.

This branch does pizza parties and pizza making classes for both adults and kids! I think I might return for this as it's a fantastic idea. Great tasting pizza perfect food prompt service with a smile what more could you ask for and special offers with orange Wednesdays and with paradise golf. Love it here. So nice newly refurbished

Highly recommend the original bruschetta to start - fantastic! We had brilliant service too, attentive staff and smiles all round.

This is our second visit to a Pizza Express. The quality of food and choice of items on the menu was very good. We did not have long to wait for our food to be served after ordering. It did seem as if the restaurant was under staffed and the staff who were on duty were running around like headless chickens.

We have always used our vouchers for this restaurant and have never been disappointed. This time there was a problem and wrong pizza was served. Staff dealt with this efficiently however and left us with the wrong pizza while the right one was prepared. Delicious as always

We visited this restaurant on Saturday, around 8.30pm. When we went in it was very busy which is usually a good sign in a restaurant.. and on this occassion it definitely was a good indication. The staff were very friendly and seated us quickly despite being rushed off their feet. I asked about dairy free options for my daughter who has an intolerance to lactose, and they couldn't have been more helpful. Our waiter went and double checked with the chef and confirmed which options were suitable for her. (The majority of restaurants we visit usually tell us they aren't too sure about dietary requirements.)Our food order was taken quickly and the food didn't take long to arrive. The food was delicious! The staff were constantly cleaning tables, making sure everyone was happy. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very relaxed and friendly. We left as very happy customers!Would definitely recommend this place to anyone and if back in the area I would be sure to return.

Oh dear. Having been to another pizza express before and been impressed I was really disappointed with this visit. The service was rubbish! Waiters standing around chatting whilst customers waited to be attended to.Took a while for our order to be taken then even longer for our food to come. The food on the whole was ok, nothing special. The creamy tomato pasta from the children's menu was awful. To be fair we didn't have to pay for this as we weren't happy with it. Pudding was the same standard. The coffee not up to much. I ended up going to the desk to ask one of the waiters hanging about if I could pay as no one was coming to the table. Overall I was not impressed and would choose another restaurant in xscape next time.

I visited for lunch with a friend and really enjoyed the food. We both had pizzas which were well made, well cooked and really tasty, we shared a side of polenta chips (strangely nice) and a couple of soft drinks rounded off with two desserts. The restaurant was very quiet but the manageress serving was friendly and efficient. I couldn't make up my mind between two of the romana pizzas and she recommended the etna which was a good choice! We both had desserts which were also really nice, my friend had the toffee sundae as recommended by the manageress and I had the chocolate fudge cake which was really nice and made in house. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable lunch and I would go back, just a shame the atmosphere was lacking with it being so quiet - as were all the restaurants in Xscape.
