it was a terrible environment the way the staff speak to their younger employees is absolutely disgusting do not recommend going there even if it’s your last resort! food is not properly cooked and the waiting time is a joke!

Updated 09/03/2024 Ordered food on the 8th of March. Food arrived in good time minus the pizza….. called up was told it was forgotten……but rather than cook me a fresh one they waited for the driver to return to collect then deliver. Was slightly warm when arrived but ruined the pizza overall. Plus other people had eaten their food!!! 9th of March……. The following night…… place another order as we are mostly always happy with the food…… food arrived again and guess what……. Minus 2 pizzas!!?? Delivery driver told us someone else was delivering the pizzas!! How can this be?? Surely if you are making an order then make all the items together and send together. This makes me believe the pizzas are coming from another restaurant!!! Order from here all the time. Placed an order tonight at 6:30 for a 7:30 delivery, the driver then calls me 40 mins early saying he is at the door with the food. Explained I wasn’t in and ordered it for 7:30. His reply ‘well I’m here now, how long you going to be’ told him 7:30 as that’s when i wanted the food. So 7:30 arrives no food. Get a just eat text at 7:46 saying food is on its way. Then get a call 15 mins later saying do I still want the food!? Confused? Yeah me too!! Then started the refund process through just eat only to be told that I wasn’t being refunded as they were busier than usual? Still confused? Yeah me too! How can you be busier than usual but tried to deliver my food 40 mins early? Won’t be ordering from here again! Shame as the food is usually top notch!!

Fairly good food but a bit overpriced and fairly small portions compared to similar places, update November 2020, change original to very overpriced £1-89 for a roll with square seriously!!!!!! Heart attack food at heart attack prices.

That's your last fella!! 2 prime cut haddock full fish suppers, a haggis and a bag of chips. January the 5th about 18:30. Prime cut haddock? Wow, do you cut the prime bit off and sell the rest to me? The fish were the size of my hand and the chips were what can I say? The batter while it was crispy was so thick I thought the fish was covered in rice crispies. The chips were harder than Jimmy Boyle.... never again!! That was almost £30.... you won't get it from me again. Eat elsewhere folks....

Once again I've ordered from here and it's been a massive disappointment, the portion sizes are just outrageous at this point. Almost £11 for a fish supper and you barely get a handful of chips in it, I've never had a chippy in my life that gives such small portions of chips in a supper. There's nothing special about this place to justify the price other than the fact it's one of the only places Erskine has to order from, the fish is average, and the chips are the same. Also, not taking card payments in store in 2023 is a joke.

Haven't been in for years ,it's getting worse ,they're only interested in profit ,place is minging I got to the door and turned away, it's the same as it was ,grubby,tatty,crazy size of menu, signs everywhere not even computer signs,ink marker on cardboard then sellotaped ,Owner probably doesn't even have a lap top as it's cash only ,Erskine is a fairly affluent town and deserves better than this coup,it looks like it's the type you see in Easterhouse,Drumchapel,etc where the clientele eat nothing else so they don't bother affording any care to the place

Lovely battered chicken, you do have to encourage staff to add plenty of salt n vinegar as they're very skimpy on that and don't move main supper item to season chips under it

Ordered a takeaway from this place …….. won’t ever again . Single sausage was more like 2 hotdogs in batter , piri piri chicken burger was tasteless as the chicken was more like a piece of chicken from a frozen packet of birdseye pack of 4 and as for the onion rings there was more batter than onion 🥵🤢they had the cheek or I had the stupidity to pay £18 inc delivery for this and to make matters worse waited over an hour for it to then be delivered and couldn’t even say it was Luke warm ……. AVOID this place at all costs Baracuda is far superior

Chipped coffee cup, dirty fork, both replaced straight away but shouldn't have happened in the first place. Plate was floating with grease from egg 🤢. Waitress was lovely but that won't want me to go bk again. Salt pepper and sauce holders need a really good scrub or better still replaced

I got take away asked for fish and chips I asked for chips to be cooked as last time raw in centre. Same this time chips cold and not cooked properly to save money. Will be going to chippy at bargarranan next time. Not impressed.

Very poor on service Front. No matter what you order around peak times, there is always a waiting period. No thought is given to ensure food is ready for peak times, and home delivery seems to take priority over customers in person. Could do better.

Ordered a haggis super and a black pudding supper. As I haven't Been for over a year I thought I would give it a try again OMG. SILLY ME Chips were more like crisps and the batter round the puddings was so thick I had to remove it to eat what was inside.Obviously been under heat lamps for a while and certainty not fresh. WONT EVER GO THERE AGAIN

Good takeaway just a bit slow at times!

This nasty little place can be best described as tired and grubby.A good clean would work wonders and that includes the rather dishevelled staff who specialise in poor customer service and even poorer food.Its beyond me how this Sh/]h@[% remains in business. Please at all costs avoid.

The batter on food tastes totally different now same with a lot of chip shops its not the same its a horrible different taste dont know whats getting used probably something cheaper.

Got a homemade pizza last night which I've not had for a couple of weeks it was well worth the wait loved it my husband got homemade steak pie he also said it was lovely xx

Dani's Diner look at the Star ratings the place needs a Refurb it's a tip,Management don't comment on these reviews indicating they don't care in my opinion The Doorway is a mess decades old Mat and damaged framework ,Cash only sign needs refreshed and in fact the owner should long ago have modernised to a Card Reader by now ,Shoddily Managed I won't be back

Don't go very often ,not impressed ,the shop needs some money spent on it better and fewer signs about the counter area,the Doorway is a disgrace a Doormat that is totally worn out and filthy black , gaffer tape holding the damaged floor panel down, its 2023 and stubbornly they are still declaring CASH ONLY on a thin laminate held up by sellotape ,the Staff look demotivated this is at night Day time staff are different as its Cafe Style then ,needs refreshed ASAP

Decided it was a chippie supper night for the family so used the Dani's Diner website got my order in, around 30 quid for the 4 of us. Some amount of food ordered all piping hot when I collected it. My kids always get the pizzas as they love those but me I'm a traditional chippie guy and do love my pizza crunch with some fritters and a single sausage. Wife got the special fish. Smashing feed, quick pleasant service when I arrived as always and would recommend to anyone in the Erskine area wanting a quick fix for the family 😀👍

Very disappointed with food the sausage was swimming in grease as if fat wasn't hot enough when it was cooked. Pretty small portions for money they are charging. Won't be going back

We sat in and enjoyed a nice meal having never been before. Found the staff to be very kind and friendly and food was great. Would go again. 5/5.

Pizza crunch the other night ,Poor amount of chips in a supper , same amount as in the kids meal to be honest, there was no crunch in the pizza crunch , it was very moist (i put it in the airfryer to try help it). . The other meals went to bad . But again the lack of chips in the suppers .. ñot good

Haven't been in ages. The last couple of times I had a full breakfast,the sausage,black pudding and potato scones where getting thinner and thinner.The very last time I visited,I broke one of my teeth crowns on a cremated square sausage that was super thin but rock hard at the same time.

Fish supper last time, Chicken supper this time. Food quality was great, however the size of the portion of the chips was poor both times. With prices as high as they are, you really shouldn't be scrimping on chips!

Disgraceful service tonight.totally disgusted with the lack of customer service. Order lay for over 3hours as I had clicked the wrong time for pick up. No follow up to ask if coming for order lay on a counter getting cold. Happy to take the 20.85 no offer of a fresh order or money back. Staff who scream to their colleagues for advice whilst you are on the other end of the phone . Say you hung up on them when in fact you are still on the phone and can hear everything they are saying about you. Poor show Dani dinners won’t be back and will make sure everyone hears about you bad customer service and unprofessional staff

Ordered a prime supper tonight. The fish looked as if it had been sitting under the lights for hours and then put back into the fryer. Totally disgusting went into the bin.

Young blonde girl serving at the front needs to learn some manners and customer service. I only asked when I would be getting my food, after 4 customers that came in after me left before me.

Disappointing Experience. It’s been a while and we should have kept it that way. Service with a smile didn’t take place. Customers told to wait outside in the cold for their order. We would have understood if the cafe was busy but there were no customers dining in. Appears Covid arrangements are staying in place to add to the already deeply deteriorating customer experience. There was a time when take away customers were able to take a seat in the front right of shop to wait cosily for their food order, now you’re herded outside. Even the elderly customers are forced out after they have tried to sit down in the warmth; they’ve now rudely nudged to stand up again and go outside to stand for a while before and being hollered at to go back in to collect their order. This was a very uncomfortable sight to view and it just shouldn’t be happening. Loyal customers deserve better than they’re receiving. McDonalds, KFC etc are more considerate and don’t expect their clientele to wait outside. I hope the owners have a rethink here and honour their customers with a seat in the warmth as they did previously. Especially for the elderly customers with winter on the way. It’s a small token that goes a long way.

My partner popped in on Tuesday to get us 2 pizza's and they were amazing, so we decided to go for 2 fish suppers tonight and they were amazing aswell, definelty recommend here!

Don’t usually leave reviews but the pizzas I got last night where absolutely rubbish they where burnt and barely any cheese also delivered late total waste of money won’t be back .

Food was nice but waiting outside in the cold is not so pleasant. I take it it is down to new covid rules.

I have been a customer since Dani's diner opened when Dani and Jan owned it and it really is sad to see it become what it is today. High prices compared to other chippys but the food is not as good.

My Dad eats in this chippy a lot and i go with him sometimes. Great staff, food excellent. I usually get the macaroni cheese its always tasty. He gets fish and chips and it's empty plates every time.

Never seen anywhere charging for cutlery! They don't accept cards! Also the food quality wasn't that good, couldn't finish either the fish and chips or the chicken that we ordered

First time in about 2 years using this place as last time fish was full of bones and so far almost 2hours for a small order on just eat 😂 would literally be quicker getting one from Italy, avoid this place you've been warned

Food is so so, wait times are long, portions small, staff unfriendly, (actually refused to given my son his change) and they consistently get simple orders wrong.

Dani's Diner has been open as far back as I can remember, and years ago it was really nice. Now, I can't actually sit inside it to eat as it makes me feel sick. It's dirty, sticky and out-dated and the toilet is disgusting. I used to enjoy going there for lunch with my mum and daughters but not any more. The decor is awful. The staff used to be very friendly and there is one lady who has been there for years who is still warm and competent. The rest of the staff, not great. There is a waitress who seems to not know where she is, what her job is and how to take an order correctly. Also that people need cutlery etc. My order is wrong every time. You are made to feel like a hindrance. The owner talks to his young staff like dirt in front of customers and only seems to hire youngsters. If you dare complain you're made out to be wrong. Delia's homemade meals are quite tasty but the fried food has gone downhill and the pizzas are gross. Even the snacks like toasties and paninis aren't as good as they used to be. It is very expensive, which is ridiculous considering the poor quality. I wonder if they're kept afloat because of the school kids going in at lunchtime. It's a shame because it has the potential to be a great little cafe/diner again if the owners would listen to what is being said on sites like this one. I'm afraid I'm done with Dani's.

Went for a supper this evening,first time visiting this chippy, walked in and walked straight out ,could do with a good clean ,and a revamp ,would not recommend it to nobody .

Think the business is badly run and management hold stinking attitudes, don't normally point to one individual but I will this time, the older woman in the shop seems to enforce some daft policy for no reason. Anyway, yeah, they're due all their money, so I'm not critequing that but I was, what, 15p under the total once, you bet, I had to go lift a 10er to pay the 15p, (you wanna be parnicity, take card like the rest of the 21st century) second, once you've ordered you can't sit at a table (even if you're their only customer) because of covid, everything is the ronah fault, btw, guidence has calmed hen, so should you, pretty much, this business is the most obnoxiously run place I've ever seen, no regard for the customer, an expectent attitude and only put up with it because I thought it was the only place in Erskine to get a chippy, next time I will be going to chippy in the park or similar, the food is average, OK, but the attitude and atmosphere stinks to high hiven, fed up with the way they trwat customers, so won't be back. (yeah, food is average, not amazing, not terrible, but average, like any other chippy, so any other chippy can't be worse)

Been coming here for years to sit in, first time we've had an issue but getting your drinks after you've finished eating is a joke. Told twice the drinks were coming. Service was shocking oh well unless you're the owner and you're getting priority over paying customers. Won't be back.

Slow service, when I asked how much longer my order would be, 20 minutes after placing the order, I was told that the onion rings were just about to get put in the pan. I've been before and not been impressed by the service, however food is normally good so gave it another chance. Left without my food this time and won't be back.

The most consistently good chippy I know. I've been to many chippies around Scotland, even the award winning one in Anstruther and this is simply the best. The fish, pizza crunchies, chips, are all top tier. They continuously add new items to the menu like calzones and the quality is always great.

Dreadful!!!! Such a shame this chip shop has been completely run down and ruined, and it’s all down to the owner (Paul) his attitude is disgusting!!!Hygiene has went right down hill, especially the conduct of certain members of staff in the background and behind-the-scenes is unbelievable (need I say more). For myself and other members of public to see this from our very own eyes and then expect them to serve us food it’s just shocking needless to say the environmental services have been informed such a petty that I have to give this honest review but it’s the truth! That’s all I have to say on this matter!

No system set up for covid. Order online and you are given a 'collection time'. Orders are made fresh when you turn up. This leads to numerous people loitering around the door. The whole point in covid regs around takeaway is collection times to stop this. You turn up collect your order then leave. Numerous people waiting 30mins+ (overheard). You have to push past 10+ people scattered around the door to speak to the staff. Very disorganised.

Roll and sausage was insanely dry. Chips weren't great. Was rather expensive. Won't be back.

DANI's has always been a bit hit and miss for me, I would say that a hit rate of about 50% would be fair. One order can be very well made, crispy golden thin batter, chips quite crispy on the outside, and non greasy. The next time can be at the other end of the spectrum. Batter resembling a yellow kitchen sponge soaked in grease, so thick that its not cooked through, chips anemic and limp. It's a shame as when they get it right it is really good, but its a bit of a lottery.

Random stop for us as eldest grand brat was at football nearby and we're banned from watching. However a cuppa and grub beckoned and chanced upon Danis.Better half had lental soup which she swears was the best ever, she was hungry though. I had a full breakfast for £4. It's actually a busy chippy so all in pleasantly surprised

My sister and I visited on two occasions whilst on holiday and received excellent food and service. Really recommend the fish and chips and lasagne. Thank you.

Ordered dinner at 6.54pm. Waited an hour and a half, still no food, phoned and told it was on its way. It arrived at 9.05 and the pizza and mozzarella dippers were completely burnt and cold and the chips were also cold. Phoned back to get another pizza and another portion of chips as by the time another pizza arrived the chips would have been inedible. Another half an hour and only a pizza appeared, gave pizza and chips back to the delivery driver. Phoned the shop back again now at 9.30 and said about the missing portion of chips for the very rude woman on the other side of the phone to start arguing with me and tell me that I wasn’t getting the chips that I’d asked for in the first place as all delivery drivers were finished. So 9.30pm at night being told I’m not getting my dinner, due to their error, that I’d phoned at 6.54pm. She then started imitating me in the background obviously not aware I was able to hear her. Eventually they asked the very kind delivery driver who’d picked up my dinner and she said she’d bring it back out to me. Big thank you to her, however customer service elsewhere needs some serious improving. Absolute joke of a place, won’t ever be back.

One of the best chip shops around , in my opinion ! Had a sit in fish supper & it was really nice , in abundance & bone free .A very pleasant surprise compared to many others . Recommended .

Got a pizza delivered amazing pizza but wrong one ordered spicy chicken mushroom jalepino pizza but no spicy chicken was a bit gutted

Working up in the area, Called in today to try this place out. What a find this place is, friendly welcoming staff and a really decent atmosphere. I ordered the spaghetti Bolognese and can honestly say it was better than I have had in some restaurants back home, it was absolutely perfect, even came with a little pot of parmesan to go on top. Will definitely be back to sample more food in the future. Gutted I didn't get a picture of the food (although I believe my pal I was with may have managed to get on of my dish once I had started) will try remember next time

I had a chicken supper and loooooved it. The batter was perfect, the meat tender and chips cooked to perfection! The service was quick, efficient, friendly and prompt despite recent restrictions. Definitely will be back when in Erskine again!

Went to dani’s diner today, it was absolutely delicious homemade steak pie and curry. Cheap for the quality of produce. Staff are the best can not fault this place. We will be back! Well done
