Great pizza as always from this chain. Lovely, friendly Italian lady served us - great for the kids. Used my taste card and got money off. less than £50 for 4 with drinks.

I've eaten here a couple of times now and on both occasions I've had a lovely pizza. Service is OK but not outstanding. The restaurant itself is on the cosy side and guess booking would be necessary in the evening or weekend.

Handy pit stop to refuel the kids after a session in Hamleys. Food and service is average. Kids menu not bad value at £6.95 for 3 courses but doesn't include a drink.

This is a standard Pizza Express - albeit in Pimlico - so you know what to expected, good, well prepared pizzas and salads at reasonable prices. The thing which raised my opinion of this particular branch was the attentiveness of the staff - not overbearing, but just enough to make you feel valued.

Decided to go for a Pizza Express with work colleagues. The place was packed, but the one empty table seated four so we were seated right away. I don't think I have ever seen two wait staff so busy during a shift, but they didn't miss a beat. Anything we asked for was brought right away and in good humour, in spite of them being run off their feet. The food, as usual for Pizza Express, was well presented and really tasty. Compared to our poor experience the night before at Jamie's Italian a short walk away, this was so much better in every way, and less than half the price! No left-overs here - we polished off everything.Well done Pizza Express, and hats off to your wait staff from last night. They deserve to put their feet up with a drink or three!

Meal was ok, can't complain at the quality of the food which is generally always good at Pizza Express. However when I came to pay using Tesco vouchers I was told by the manager, a French chap, I was told that out of the three voucher codes one of them was showing as already having been used. I queried this as the voucher was printed off that day and I'd never had this issue with Tesco vouchers in 15 years of using them. The manager became very defensive and accused me of 'trying it on' and that I may have already used that voucher somewhere else. I was very suspicious of his reaction and refused to pay the extra, I told them to take it up with Tesco. Later that evening I got an E mail from Tesco saying all three vouchers had now been redeemed. I suspect the staff have a little scam going with Tesco vouchers, just beware if they try the same when you visit!!!

You know what you are getting with Pizza Express and I liked this outlet because it is smaller then most so more intimate.Admittedly it was not busy as we booked for 5.45pm and I can imagine it would be quite squashed if full. The waiting staff were friendly and attentive and the food was the standard we expect from the chain.Just a shame they don't do the Soho pizza any more - my favourite......

The food is fine, I'm a coeliac, so a pizza place isn't normally the place for me. I've previously tried the wheat free pizza which is dry and awful, but the goats cheese salad is gorgeous with chicken. The staff are awful! They are slow and unnatentive, and simply seem rude and arrogant...

I went a few days ago. Awful services, waited a long time to be served, one waiter was rude then a waitress served us who seemed like she didn't speak a word of English.Once we had finished our average tasting food we then asked for the bill on several occasions, received it over 10 minutes later then my partner gave the waitress our nectar card as well as our VISA card and they began to make fun of the fact we thought we were entitle to nectar points (as we saw online we were). Awful and horrible experience and won't be visiting again.

Visited this branch for a pizza. We ordered a garlic bread as a starter and I have to say, not that it was small, but you certainly would not get full on it! The waitress was pleasant enough and attentive. She offered to bring more garlic bread but this would be chargeable. Our pizzas were ok but pricey for what they were and not good value for money, although the staff were pleasant enough. We had a couple of bottles of beer but when we received the bill, we had been charged for an extra drink. I spoke to the waitress and there was a mix up so she deleted this and issued us with a new bill. Don't think the food is worth the cost personally but the next time I try a Pizza Express, I might be pleasantly surprised!!

We booked this for a Saturday lunch before going to the theatre. The restaurant is up to the usual Pizza Express standard. However the tables are very close and ours backed on to the bar so as the staff went by we were knocked. It also lacked a bit of atmosphere. The menu is the bog standard usual Pizza Express menu. Would say the restaurant was 3/4 full and the food tasted good and the service was quick. They did much up my wife's pizza but soon put it right.

We have eaten at this compact restaurant many times over the years most recently in December 2012.The manager and senior staff haven’t changed and they are all LOVELY, so friendly and welcoming, lovely banter, great with kids. I honestly cannot fault this place for a quick pizza before hitting the theatre/shops. For families just wanting a quick sit down its perfect, we have always found the food comes very quickly. For those looking for a lingering, romantic candle lit dinner for two in a child free environment - what the hell are you doing in Pizza Express?!!

We visited this restaurant on a recent visit to London. We arrived at 4.15pm and were seated promptly. That's were the good service ended.Having been sat waiting for about 25 minutes, I had to prompt the waiting staff to take our order. During that time, no-one had even been to ask if we wanted drinks. When the food arrived, 2 of the pizzas were cold. These were sent back, but rather than being remade, the pizzas were merely stuck back in the pizza oven to warm through. However, since one of the pizzas was a leggera (i.e. incredibly thin base) the base was burnt nicely when it came back. The egg on my Fiorentina was also nicely baked. There was no cutlery on the table which, apprently was down to staffing shortages. However, the kitchen staff were quite happy to stand about chatting. As my old restaurant manager used to say, "Time to lean, time to clean!".There was no atmosphere in the restaurant, with so many tables squeezed in, you had to ask permission from the next table to merely sit down.Overall, I wish we had braved the throng at the McDonald's on Oxford Street. It would have been cheaper. We won't be going back again.

The manager is great.... Our waitress was good too.The food was what you would expect.so far so good. now the bad.its the size of a matcbox. if you are unlucky to be sat near the door you have people stood over you as you eat.The toilets are in a poor state and I reckon that is a good measure of an establishment.all in all a poor experience.

With Pizza Express you know what to expect. This branch does not disappoint. Good service, good quality pizzas and pasta. We ate there on a Thursday night. It was very busy but the staff were very accomodating when I was rushing to find the right voucher to use. We all ate 2 courses and a drink for £10 which was excellent value.

Bad food, terrible service We were looking with my friends a place to eat, but as it was a boxing day 26th of December, everything was packed in Central so we didn't had any other choice rather than eating there, as we were in a rushed. The items on the menu were very overpriced. I choose the pizza margarita that costs £15 and when I said to the waiter that I would like extra mushrooms, he said that they can't do that and that I need to order the fungi pizza that costs £19 , that was exactly the same as margarita just with extra mushrooms that they charged £4 more. He wasn't polite at all with us. We ordered a coke, and when I asked tap water, he said in a very rude way that they don't do it, so he forced us to order still water that they charged £5. We all felt discriminated by the way he was talking to us. The pizza wasn't fresh at all, tasted like frozen one. My friends had pasta fettuccine that had literally only 2 pieces of chicken and chicken breast served with frozen fast food potatoes that cost more than £20 each dish. We were sitting outside, and my friend asked for an ashtray, and the waiter ignored him, making a very bad face reaction. Before we asked for the bill, I kindly said to the waiter to remove the service charge as the experience wasn't as we were expecting. Then he said that it's obligatory and not optional and he couldn't remove it. He was literally shouting in front of the customers, and apparently, he was the manager there. Seems he has no experience in hospitality and customer service. We have been forced to pay 25% of Service Charge when the average in the UK is 10-12.5% !!!! The bill was £102 for a small frozen pizza, overcooked pasta with 2 small cubes of chicken, and a small chicken breast. I don't recommend this place. Food is terrible and the staff seems like they hate what they are doing.

Hi I ordered 2 thin crust pizzas. The base was like cardboard. Without a doubt the worse pizza base I have ever tasted - would have been better using a supermarket own base. They also mixed up the sauce bases on the pizza - pepperoni with BBQ sauce and Ranch BBQ with tomato sauce. Phoned the store - we are too busy to sort this out - try emailing head office (random email address given which didn't work) and ask for a refund. Just based on the quality of the pizza give this store a miss - so wish I had read the other reviews on line before ordering - I now understand why this store has received so many 1;s
