Amazing pizza, best in the area by far yet to try the kebabs. Highly recommend

When we ordered a 90 minute delivery time was stated. Over 2 hours later we phoned up only to be told they were still cooking our order. We cancelled our order due to the long wait

Had to wait two hours for delivery.....not impressed. Rang the restaurant and they said it should be here soon. Website said 90 minutes but it was two hours before we got any food. Not impressed. Will not be ordering from here again.

Absolutely amazing place! I’ve not had a bad meal from them, pizzas are cooked fresh right in front of your eyes, and trust me when I say this, it’s the best pizza for miles. Couldn’t reccomend these guys more.

Best all round takeaway with the best service

Waited 1.5hours for a pizza, drink and chips, if I’d of know I would have gone somewhere else. Pizza was not what I ordered, I paid for stuffed crust and didn’t have it. Tried calling after the 684 time I gave up. Chips were nice, wouldn’t order again.

Waited over 2 hours for delivery, 2 small kebabs and fries. One kebab was totally wrong and didn't even get the fries at all. Pitty because what food we got was good quality but will never order again.

It’s really nice pizza but if this happens one more, never buying again. To add, not the first time, probs been 3 times in a couple months (I eat too much pizza), the did send out a replacement once but couldn't this time, had already shut. Shouldn't happen in the first place. Isn't hard to hold the boxes level.

Ordered online at 7pm to have a generic countdown as to when the food would arrive. This was already set at 1hour 30 mins after ordering. Waited that time to no food. My partner called the takeaway business to ask what our options were to be told it would be another 45 minutes minimum for delivery and the only thing we could do would be to cancel and get a refund as they were too busy. They had our contact details but did not bother to contact us to inform us of the delayed delivery time. I called back to say this was not acceptable so would like a refund. I could then hear the girl talking to her colleagues in the background and described me as “getting dead mardy”. When I confronted her about this she tried to lie initially and say this hadn’t been said, and then changed her tune and said it was being said about somebody else. Regardless this is abysmal customer service. Been told it will be 3-4 days when the refund should hit my bank account, and rest assured I will be checking every single day. I ignored people that said avoid this place and I genuinely regret it. Please avoid this takeaway as they do not deserve hard working people’s money to treat them so appallingly.

Placed order at 8pm it's now 10pm and still no food. £52 order. And had to phone twice to see if there was a problem.

This outlet is over rated, after being 3 hours late have them a call to cancel my order but wouldn’t refund, zero customer service there a disgrace

Fresh, hot and very tasty. Delivery was on the late side (2 hours) but the wait was definitely worth it. We would certainly order again.

The best pizza around. We got the order within 45 minutes even tho we were told it may be a two hour wait. The delivery driver was lovely, the ordering was easy over the phone. We have had several orders from them, and they never fail to be gorgeous.

Food is excellent, but on one occasions had to wait over 2hrs for delivery, thought I'd give them another try and this time never received the order. Will not be ordering again

Told food was ready to collect according to the app, got inside and had to wait about another 10 mins to get it. Ordered the mixed kebab for 2. Who they're feeding 2 people with that portion size is beyond me. Wouldn't feed 2 toddlers. And that was with chips as well. Very small portions for the money. Could of gone anywhere else in alfreton, spent less and actually been full. Which I will be doing next time. Food was also so greasy so not having that much probably was a blessing.

Ordered at 7.10pm, we expected a wait but not nearly 2.5 hours and when the food arrived it was nearly cold and the pizza base was uncooked and slimy it was horrid, if we'd known it was uncooked we would refused the order. Not good at all. If they cannot cope with the orders they should stop taking orders 😒 VERY UNSATISFIED CUSTOMER £29 For very substandard food. Needs reporting sending uncooked food out

Definitely the best pizza around. Friendly staff, fast & efficient delivery and tasty food. We have ordered kebabs, pizza's and burgers in the past and all have been cooked to perfection. They also always cater for my mother whom is celiac which is a bonus.

Ordered my food to be delivered it came and it was stone cold they sent a second lot of food that was not very good at all most of it went in the bin. I think lesson learnt I won’t be ordering from here again

Waited 3 hours! If you're hungry then go somewhere else or get the oven on and cook your own. They take your money and tell you it's a 60 minute wait then leave you waiting 3 hours knowing you are not going to cancel your order. Greedy owners taking too many orders knowing they can't keep up with them. We spent over £60 for average food and it wasn't worth the 3 hour wait. We will never order from here again

Pizza Baker is always the place I go for pizza, kebab, burgers etc. The food is always good and the staff are really nice and friendly. The delivery service could be better but apart from that all is good.

Ordered 3 pizzas at 18.20 and still not arrived at 20.45. Unable to call or online chat in fact from website looked like they had closed for the night. Gave up in the end £30 lighter. Delivery driver finally knocked on my door now past 2100 and frankly after nearly 3 hours wait appetite had gone and they were cold. Excuse given! They took too many orders and couldn’t cope with volume wow that’s one way to destroy your business…shame on you Pizza Baker.

Decided to try somewhere new as all the kebab shops we usually use have gone down hill, glad we did. The meat is really succulent, compared to any other kebab we've had in a long time. Would definitely recommend 👌

I ordered food at 7:09 and called up at 9:10 as it hadn’t been delivered been delivered after 2 hours of waiting. They told me it was cooking and would be half an hour. It’s now 9:40 and still not here. It said 90 minutes for delivery. They didn’t even offer a refund or anything. Don’t get me wrong the food is nice but not worth waiting all this time

Best kebabs and pizzas for miles, incredibly friendly staff, gets really busy so order early for delivery, I won’t have takeaway (kebab pizza) from anywhere else, absolutely superb

The best kebab I’ve had round here! Good garlic mayo none of that watery stuff! What’s your chilli sauce like lads?? In all seriousness I thoroughly enjoyed my chicken kebab tonight. Will definitely be our new takeaway

WOW!! Been trying to find the best kebab house in the area- just found it 👍 Meat- moist and seasoned correctly- salad fresh and crisp - Nan bread to die for! Don’t go anywhere else - first time I’ve used them and defo be back again and again 👍

Absolutely shocking experience tonight. Used to really rate this place so ordered to collect at a specific time. Was really busy when I entered but I don't expect to wait 30 mins when I'd already phoned an order through. There was obviously some mix up as I saw the guy put my pizza in the oven afyer being in there a good 20 mins and they had some discussion about it not being ready. I was in the shop so someone could have spoken to me and asked if I minded waiting. My 5 year old was waiting on the car with her dad. No apology or anything else. Shocking service and won't be using again. There was a 2 hour wait for delivery and loads of people ringing up to complain. They even took the phone off the hook as they clearly couldn't deal with the volume.

Lovely food, great value for money

Every time I have food from here, it's really delicious. Nearly always comes hot, too. I've never had a late delivery from them either. These are my go-to for pizza takeaways. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Ordered from here a few times lately and experienced both collection and delivery. On the positive side the food has always been hot and tasty - it does have the advantage over competitors when it comes to pizzas. Kebabs quite nice too. Unfortunately however there does always seem to be an issue with the phone lines whereby they struggle to hear you. Last week when I ordered food they called back a few minutes after i ordered saying they didn't have a particular topping in stock (bolognese) so I quickly had to order a different pizza. This is not the first time. Also they put hot chilli sauce on the burger when we specifically asked for no sauce and just salad. My partner has an intolerance to chilli sauce and could not eat it due to this. Eventually got through to them and they offered to do another one but we'd have to collect as they didn't have enough drivers! More like they didn't want to give away a free item and deliver for no charge. Yes the food might be nice but they need to up their game in other respects. Unfortunately will be ordering elsewhere for the most part.

Took over an hour and a half for 2 medium pizzas and when they came they where barely warm. Rand the shop to chase delivery and just said we are busy and that was it. Will never use again.

I pre-ordered 30 pizzas for a party, they all came perfectly hot & so delicious! Every member of staff that I dealt with was amazing, from the man who took my initial call, through to the the people making the deliveries, everyone was so friendly and helpful and it made the catering element of the party completely stress free. Would recommend to anyone to get pizza here! Especially the tandoori chicken one!

Not as good as it use to be, staff can be quite unhelpful, pizza was cold and, sweet chilli was a cheese pizza with jalapeños on it, tasteless and all pizzas and sundries looked like left overs from the night before.

All I'm saying is when we have visitors and they want pizza they go away and say that is the best takeaway pizza they have had. Which means we have ruined thier local pizza takeaway place. Its the best enjoy! 👌

Been coming here for years. Staff are friendly, food is tasty and prices are competitive. Gets very busy during peak times so bear that in mind if ordering on Saturday evenings for example, order well in advance.

Ordered early at 5pm on a Wednesday. Pizza arrived with around 50 mins. Pizza would have been lovely had it have been warm! It was barely lukewarm very disappointing

My meat feast pizza was supposed to have ham, pepperoni, spicy beef, garlic sausage and additional bolognese on top of it. There's only pepperoni and a trace of bolognese on one slice. Vegie burger had traces of salad and additional chips l didn't order. I ordered for the first time and won't order again. I got a small garlic bread l didn't ask for as well. Now l'm thinking maybe they gave me somebody else's order or something. Anyway - rubbish.

Delivery was 1hr 45 minutes -1 hour longer than stated. Order was wrong (wrong topping on pizza) never had a issue here won't return

Fed up off waiting and no 1 answering

Pizza Baker has unfortunately gone downhill. We have regularly ordered from here up until now. Tonight has been the last straw and we will not be going here again. We ordered tea at 17:54 for the family, it got to 20:13; still no food. We contacted Pizza Baker for an update to be told the food was just about to leave, time kept ticking by and still no delivery. We tried contacting Pizza Baker and it seemed like they had took the phone off the hook. Food eventually arrived at 21:10. Chips were soggy and lukewarm. This is really disappointing, no explanation, its not good enough.

Ordered like we usually do from here, after 2 hours no food waited again another half an hour phoned up to be told it had been delivered!! They had delivered to the wrong address then expected US to go and fetch it!! Said we will redo your food and give you a refund, after over 3 and a half hours food arrived (rushed as the meat was still red/pink in the middle) and NO refund!!!! I'm so Disappointed as we only ever order from here as USUALLY the food and delivery are good and as we're regulars I expected better

I ordered pizza with chips. Opened the chips go nd 3 wedges.

Made order at 6 , recieved at 7.55. Should of been here by 7.30. Don't think I'll order from here again. If I was paying on delivery I would have refused. Already laid before delivery. Food wasn't bad when arrived thats why it has the 2.

Saturday night ordered food at 6.49pm and told up to an hour as they where busy, fair enough. Rang them at 8.49pm as food was still not here and told will be another half an hour!!! absolutely ridiculous!!!!

Really good quality pizza, lots of toppings, never fails to impress. Definitely recommend to anyone who hasn't tried.

Seen a few poor reviews recently so thought I'd better say that we love pizza baker, wouldnt go anywhere else. The food is excellent, hygiene always high on the agenda, staff very helpful and friendly. I even got help with my large order to the car, despite being parked 5 mins away, it raining and the shop being super busy. Cant fault the place. Thanks for continued great food

They said online food would arrive in 60 minutes rang them to check my order they said it would be another 40 i eventually got my food almost 2 hours after ordering then to top it all off i asked for mayo lettuce and onion on my burger didn't even get that by far the worst takeout around not even a apology absolutely shocking

First time ordering definitely won't be the last, food arrived chips cheese and doner meat tasted very good sauce's were really tasty and doner meat tasted great, doner cob was the same and the garlic bread was perfect, would recommend ☺️

Ordered 2 pizzas and scampi and chips for the family. 1 hour 50 minutes wait. When we opened the pizzas they looked shocking and the pepperoni was full of jalapeños. Hubby left most of his. The scampi was dry and lacked any taste. I must say the quality and service has really gone down hill. Won’t be ordering again any time soon.

This service is horrible I waited half an hour for a chicken donner they gave me some meat wrapped with bread, no salad, no onion, nothing!!! I paid for my garlic sauce and ketchup and they didn't give me in that bag, never come back, this service is horrible

Thought they had gone to Italy to get our pizzas took that long to get to us 2hrs in fact. Pizzas not anything out the ordinary although were hot. No apolgy for being late.
