We went for the Sunday carvery and we weren’t disappointed, the choice is unbelievable.. staff always very attentive , great value and very spacious so you don’t feel you’re on top of everyone .. we have a large wheelchair and there was plenty of room for my brother in law to move about .. I’ve put a review up before on link48 which is the same establishment.. it won’t be too long until we’re back

I ate here recently with friends after a round of golf. The food was excellent, everyone was impressed. I got the chicken salad, it was lovely. The place is good value too and very well kept. I will certainly be back.

Had Sunday lunch there to day with my young family and I can safely say if was the best Sunday lunch we've had in a long time, and the staff were very down to earth and could not do enough. We actually had lunch there yesterday as well in the Amelia Earhart restaurant which was newly refurbished since iv last been and again could not fault it. Looking forward to going back very soon

I cannot rate this venue highly enough! Our daughter and son-in-law had their wedding ceremony and reception here last week and it was perfect. The effort the staff made to ensure their day was flawless was over and above what we expected. The service and the food were complimented by all the guests and the picturesque surroundings for photos are just the icing on the cake. A beautiful venue with the nicest staff!

I have been to pitchers twice this week. Once for a wedding and then for a birthday party. The staff are amazing and can’t do enough for you. The food is gorgeous and the portions are a great size. The prices are unbeatable. Looking forward to my next visit

Bad service and dull, bland food with a cheeky staff member. Both the beer battered and “baked” cod were near mush with no taste and undercooked chips, soup worse than what I’d get at school. Definitely not 4 star.

Had a team building event here on the Par3 course and then had dinner in the Pitchers restaurant. Staff were very good and helped to organise a pub quiz afterwards. We had a great time and stayed all day.

Party of nine family members dined here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Four courses for £14:50 had my daughter incredulous as she lives in NYC where you’d be lucky to get a starter for that! Seafood starter was stand out, soup and pâté excellent too. Roast beef was melt in your mouth, the gammon in mustard sauce to die for and the turkey and ham moist and tender. Desserts perfect too, with the tea/coffee served with it. We can recommend the Merlot, too. Service friendly and attentive. Absolutely brilliant value in lovely surroundings.

Went with my husband and 11 year old, staff very professional and service was fast great, as we were starving, starters breaded brie nice/hubby's soup fine, daughters chicken wings grand, mains a disaster, I had chicken tasted of nothing supposed to have chorizo sauce,??? it was gravy, hubby had beef again tasted like boil in the bag, dessert, choc fudge (dry) banoffee teeny tinny bit and cheesecake we took them to go, should have left them there, its such a shame as staff and views are great but will not be back

4 adults and children went for evening meal. It wad quite noisy as there appeared to be a family do on. Staff helpful gluten free options available. We had starters and main course. All satisfactory and enjoyable

Recently called here after a game of Golf at the Foyle Golf Centre, was really impressed by the smart makeover, the new look Pitchers is warm and modern and gotta admit my first impressions was WOW,had a drink of some fresh irish beer and ordered some food, looking at the menu I thought "is this right", food was really good value for money and when it arrived it hit the spot,it was one of the nicest lunches I have had at a Golf centre/clubhouse,and I would say go and try it, you will be shocked at how cheap yet how gorgeous the food is, topped off by warm friendly staff this little place is hidden away amongst the trees of the golf course down a country road yet less than 3 miles from the city centre, my advice don't drive past, make this one of your stop offs be it for food or golf,you wont regret it

We attended pitchers for a christening for my son and it was absoloutely fantasic - from the amazing, tasty and great selection of food to the non-comparable service - I couldn’t praise this establishment more. We will most definitely be back to eat here and would recommend it to anyone.

Called in for Sunday Lunch without a booking and were well received and given a window table with spectacular view of the Foyle golf course. Two courses £13.95 - great value. I had seafood salad and the roast beef. M had baked cod and the cheesecake. All went down well and they supplied a very generous portion of chips on top of all the usual trimmings! Lovely experience - staff were all friendly and really helpful. And....the Guinness was perfect! Well done all.

Was here on Saturday for my godsons first communion meal. Haven’t been here n a while so didn’t know what to expect. Food was delicious. Enjoyed the atmosphere. Staff was helpful. Can’t wait until next time.

I have ate here on a few ocasions and really impressed. Excellent food, friendly staff, lovely decor and setting and just great value all round. Beat the clock on a Wednesday night is a bargain.

Went for a first communion dinner with a large party. Table booked for 3.30pm, we weren’t seated until after 4pm. Didn’t appear to be any waiting staff in the restaurant. Eventually took our orders after being asked several times. Still hadn’t been served dinner by 6pm. A lot of children in the party who were very hungry and fed up. Restaurant seemed very disorganised. Saw people who arrived after us being served before us. Very disappointing, will not return.

Despite a reservation had to wait more than an hour for our table. Staff were overwhelmed by an obviously overbooked restaurant. Waited another 15 mins for a menu, and it went from bad to worse from there. Inefficient and incompetent staff, orders gotten wrong or forgotten and one exceedingly rude staff member. We were not the only dissatisfied customers. If you are thinking of coming here , dont. Food was passable.

Visited Pitchers last night as we knew it had recently been refurbished & wanted to check out their dinner menu ! They have a fabulous “Beat the Clock “ menu .... which we unfortunately missed because we weren’t in time ( 24 hrs too late as it is only served on Wednesday evenings !!!). However our very pleasant server Gemma , kindly gave us a BtheC menu to take home so we could see what was on offer when we return on a Wednesday !

Well after our first trip to Pitchers we decided to try it again on a normal Friday evening.

This was our first visit to Pitchers after their recent refurbishment. The restaurant has a lovely relaxing atmosphere and we were seated immediately we came in. The staff were friendly and we really enjoyed the food. Starters were the seafood chowder ( nearly a meal on its own!) and the spicy chicken wings. Both were very tasty.

Somewhere we never think to visit, and yet ill never forget it now.

A last minute call from a friend asking if we fancied watching the Rugby at Pitchers ended up being one of the most enjoyable days out in a long time. We had some drinks whilst watching the match in the newly refurbished bar. A waitress asked would we fancied some food, we had the special, which was a platter of meats and a side, it was the perfect addition to our afternoon. We ended up staying on after the rugby and worked our way through the cocktail menu, finishing off the evening with a meal. The staff were great, very attentive and always on hand. The new decor is stunning and the food was superb! Overall a great surprise and somewhere I’m now looking forward to visiting again!

Estupendo y amplio lugar. Llegamos a las 3:00 pm para comida para 14 adultos y 8 niños estaban sentados y servidos con rapidez. Todas las comidas y gran entorno ideal para niños. Buena relación calidad-precio.

Reservé una habitación para la celebración de la primera comunión de mi hijo, me dijeron que podía tener la habitación siempre que necesitaba como hice la reserva primero y luego dos días antes de la fiesta me dijeron que no tienes que estar a las 6:30 necesitamos la habitación para otro evento, realmente estaba molesto por esto.

Mesa de Hijas de confirmación, 20. . menú era muy bueno, no tengo ninguna queja con la comida, el servicio era bueno aparte de una confusión con un par de cenas, pero se solucionaron rápidamente!

Después de comer el almuerzo de domingo en muchos un lugar, jarros es siempre el lugar volvemos a porque está muy bien de precio y la comida es deliciosa. Mi hija también tuvo su fiesta de compromiso y el personal hizo por encima y más allá de que sea perfecto. Podría escribir mucho sobre el lugar, pero me gustaría simplemente decir probar por ti mismo que no decepcionará

Having just visited pitchers on Thursday 20/10/2016 I have to say left with mixed emotions the food was o k for the price you pay £11.45.per person for a four course meal.The service on the other hand well was did I do anything to annoy that girl?and when she left us our coffee for 2 it was a pot of hot water no coffee in it we did not bother asking for it to be corrected but I did tell the girl on leaving she said sorry and smiled very strange.

Absolutely fantastic meal we all had last Sunday for a family members christening party. Staff were attentive and very polite - credit to the business. I myself had the bruschetta, turkey and ham and the cheesecake all of which was exceptional. Pitchers is lovely for events and have attended a few here, from weddings to birthdays and christening a to formals. Would definitely return on a Sunday, the menu is brilliant.

good menu beautiful food cooked to perfection, very attentive staff, my only gripe is the plates the food was served on were almost like big bowls there was no room to eat your side order with your meat order yet the steaks came on normal plates! just get back to using normal plates and forget about style please.

We had a party at this place on Saturday night. I had to book from overseas, and try to get as much information as possible. The manager, Sinead, was awesome. She answered every question I asked, and when my first choice of night wasn't available, she worked through some stuff to give me another night, which worked out brilliantly.The rest of the staff couldn't have been nicer, when I called again as time moved forward. We had the party in a private room, and there was enough space for about 60 of us, a photo booth in the corner that we had hired, food prepped by the restaurant, finger buffet style ... the bar, a dance floor and room for the DJ!They allowed us to put posters on the walls and bring in balloons and decorate beforehand. We had a great night, and it was mainly thanks to Pitchers and their staff.The finger buffet was exactly what we needed, was delicious and more than enough for everyone.As a side, my mom and I came up to check the place out a couple of days before, and we had lunch there. I had the most amazing warm chicken and bacon salad ..... a week later, my mom is STILL talking about it!Thanks again to Pitchers for everything. It was just perfect and we had an amazing night!

Love the food at Pitchers Wine Bar and always guaranteed a warm welcome and great service from all the staff, Pitchers has some of the best food around with a great location overlooking the Foyle golf centre and the long hills of Donegal,a visit to Pitchers Wine Bar is a must do if in the Derry area you will never be disappointed

I was lucky enough to attend a function here at the start of the month. I can only describe the food as fantastic- I eat out a lot and this was the nicest meal I've had in quite some time!! We were seated for our meal promptly and the service was fantastic. The staff were friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was wonderful. I would highly recommend here if you were looking to book a function and equally if you were just looking for a good meal with family and friends. The setting is beautiful and the facilities are clean and spacious. Loved it!

This place is pretty convenient with reasonable price. Nice view of tge golf course and the village. we had 2 cups of homemade soup, Turkey sandwich and kid's burger (with french fries and baked beans), coke, tea, and hot chocolate for under 20 pounds including tips. Not bad.

All I wanted was a Sunday roast on my first full day in Ireland. Did my research & read the reviews of where best to achieve this in the Derry area & just loved the idea of Sunday lunch at a restaurant in a golf course, so booked it a couple of weeks in advance for 4pm.Arrived on the agreed day & time , only to walk into a nightmare & a 1 hr wait for my 4pm pre booked table. We were seated at 5pm outside of the deadline for our Sunday Lunch menu & price rate. After ordering our 3 course meal & having already eaten two of the courses, we were informed that our desert was sold out !!!!!! & we both had to choose an alternative. Needless to say, I had already complained to the Manager of the dining area regarding our table not being ready at the appropriate time, but to take our full order & tell us three quarter way through our meal that part of our order was already sold out was pathetic, laughable & downright bad management & organisation. This again caused us to complain to the Manager of the shoddy treatment we were receiving. The surroundings were lovely, the starter & main course was delicious, but we were already upset, annoyed, delayed & unhappy & then unable to complete our meal of choice. However, we saw around us slow & unresponsive waiting staff, tables left uncleared & instead of the Manager having time to meet & greet their customers, was running around serving food & taking orders, we also noted that children were allowed to run around freely making noise as other customers are & the parents & staff did nothing.Although we did receive an apology, a free drink & 50% taken off the cost of our food, the situation in Pitchers destroyed our special treat & our evening nonetheless. This was our first , & now sadly our last visit to Pitchers based on our bad experience, so we cannot comment if this is the norm for them. I have lots of family who live within the restraunts catchment area & I have now retold them of our experience.

I've used Pitchers for private function bookings for a christening, birthday party, first communion party, after a funeral for a family meal and a school reunion. The staff are always very keen to help and Sinead the manager is very accommodating. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a function where the staff will do anything to help out. We'll be back soon for our next family do!

I eat hear regularly with my family and I can never fault the place, I also had my birthday party and my wedding after party, everything has always went perfect , food is gorgeous , the staff are always really helpful and couldn't do enough for you, brilliant place for us to take our wee boy for a meal as he is 4 and the staff are always so friendly with him , 5 star quality , will diffenatly be having any further functions here too

Booked pitchers for a formal and all was well up until 2 days before the actual event was meant to happen when they rang and told us they wouldn't be having us, unacceptable 2 days before the event was meant to happen.

My husband and I have Sunday lunch here almost every week. The staff are extremely helpful, efficient and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble! Sunday lunch menu is a great deal. Look forward to many more Sundays here!

Headed for a bit of dinner for a family birthday- food was great and the staff lovely. I had the beef and it was the nicest id had in ages. The waitress told me wains eat free on Sunday lunch so will be back soon!

Went here for a wedding, mmm not the location I would have taken. Arrived and handed a warm glass of sparkling wine not champagne !! Waited an hour before we could get our seats in the function room. The meal was either a curry of stroganoff coleslaw chips or rice from a hot plate no desert or starter the food was bland tasteless and lukewarm the function room was not bad but the entertainment ended at 11 and we ended up listening to a private party next door the dividing wall was a plastic partition and the noise from the karaoke was horrendous.

We had a family event here and the service was excellent. The staff were helpful, personalising our menus to our taste and the standard of food was top notch.

I would definitely recommend this restaurant... Staff excellent...service excellent..complimentd to the chefs... Great location...beautiful scenery... Great value for money...I would definitely be returning in the near future... If your looking for somewhere that has great value for money,great location,access to all facilities...Great service and friendly staff then this is the place.... Can't wait to return...

With large windows overlooking the golf course, it all makes for a really nice setting. I was with a large group, and even though they were quite busy, the service was wonderful. Even though some of the group had awkward requests, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Both the service, and the food gets the thumbs up from me. I will be back.

Really enjoyed Pitchers new menu, something for everyone, very good quality. Will be back for sure. The location is great with a nice view over the exceptional golf course, a must visit on a good day!

Pitchers Restaurant was the location chosen for lunch as part of a group outing and lived up to all expectations. The setting on a bright summer was really an ideal location with the group able to relax in a pleasant and tranquil setting of the golf course. The meal was three course with a wide choice which pleased all members of the group. Staff were very efficient and courteous and each course was served in a friendly and professional manner. This location was ideal for the group as it was very accessible with all the facilities to meet their needs. The meal was first class and represented value for money. I would recommend this restaurant and its location for an afternoon lunch outing

Worst family restaurant experience. Dirty.Service was terrible - plates pretty much thrown onto table. Impossible to get waiters attention.Rushed through an awful meal, and then asked to finish teas/coffees in bar so they could set up for next booking. No seats in bar to accommodate 9 of us.We will never revisit.
