Pine Bar in City of London, Westminster

Did I miss something? Is this place supposed to be so basic? It was featured at LCW so I figured they would have some sort of signatures. I see them on other people's reviews but nothing like that was available on my visit. There was no signatures menu, nothing creative at all. Just classics with very expensive spirits. The entire feature menu consisted of 5 insanely priced cocktails with vintage bottles. Like, if you want to pay £450 for a Manhattan, they've got you covered. Using exorbitantly priced vintage spirits doesn't mean the cocktail is even done well. Who wants to risk that? I am convinced that menu exists solely to show off the age of some of their bottles, and to gouge those 20 or so silly new money millionaires that wander in here a year. Let's be honest, this is the Biltmore. Not the Langham, or even the Peninsula. And considering there were only us there, it's not exactly a popular place. The other option is a meagre 6 classics. Which, okay, to be a cocktail bar does not require you to ever have signatures. You can specialize in classics done to perfection (as I have had at The Connaught, but they had their own creations too.) I'm just not convinced a bar of this supposed class should serve gimlets with lime cordial. Sure, that may be the original recipe but surely we have evolved beyond sickly cordials? They don't even specify any sort of housemade cordial. I can only assume it is store-bought. I decided to chance their De la Lousiane. Definitely not worth £22. It was mid. Plus, the atmosphere just wasn't there. The place was dead and the staff were often nowhere to be found. My friends just ordered wine. Nothing seemed special to them either. The main problem is that there's just nothing memorable about it at all. It looks like every other moderately upscale hotel bar. The staff were perfunctory but mainly absent and forgettable. The drinks were fine (not good), but again, instantly forgettable in their sheer blandness. Absolutely nothing stood out, and for the price, it really, really should. I just have a hard time believing anybody actually thoroughly enjoys this place. It's a bit nothing-y. All they have is their vintage bottles... but so do many Mayfair hotel bars now, and more impressive ones with cocktails and spirits hitting the £1000s. I'll admit one of those cocktails tempted me, and with a little more disposable income, I would have maybe gone with the £140 1960s Negroni, lmao. But if I had that sort of cash to throw around, chances are I wouldn't be at this bar in the first place.

Has a lovely Desi Daru Mango Cocktail and was served by a wonderful gentleman called Riyad who was so friendly and looked after us.

On my weekly explorations of “new places to have a nice drink” in London continues, I decided to explore the Pine Bar at the Biltmore hotel with some coworkers. The Biltmore hotel is situated on the south side of Grosvenor Square. Well, the whole experience was top notch. From the warm “Good Afternoon” from the hotel “Doorman” ( I do not like using that term because they do so much more….) to every single interactions with any staff member on property. All were so warm and genuine. We decided to sit at the bar. I love witnessing the actions of the mixologists and always like to stare at a good wall of bottles in hopes of finding a hidden gem. Our Mixologist today was Ryad! What a gem. His smile, and enthusiasm for his job permeates through every interactions with his guests and Coworkers. He ( and the whole team) made us feel welcomed and valued. (And that can be a rare thing these days….) Our drinks were made to perfection. Fresh tasty snacks were served. And the price tag was what is expected in such a nice and refine venue. Come for one, feel the vibe, enjoy the cocktails! I will definitely be back. Where will next week take me??🤔😊✈️🥂🍹

I don't recommend Pine Bar on the basis of our recent visit. One bald guy welcomed us in a cheap manner saying 'hey there, how are you doing'. We sat at the bar and ordered virgin Pina colada and red wine. Pine colada was not as good as they charged because it was only pineapple juice and ice. But the main disappointing thing is how they do not care about hygiene. The same bald guy wearing a suit was scratching his face and he was eating nuts from the same bowl that they offered us. We saw it many times when he picked the nuts from those bowls again and again, and those same bowls were offering to the other people. I'm shocked at how they can be very careless about hygiene in this luxurious hotel and bar. I don't think that we will visit this bar again.

Last week Thursday I visited pine bar with a bunch of my friends and it was a very good experience. We ordered an espresso martini, side car, french 75 and some wines which were suggested by Vaibhav. Taste and presentation of those cocktails was excellent. In the end we really felt like we were in one of the best bars in Mayfair, We enjoyed our time in the pine bar and we are looking forward to coming soon.

Went here based on the reviews. The bar was deserted on a Saturday night at 10pm, so zero for atmosphere. The Gimlet I ordered was basically a line cordial with alcohol and little to balance the tartness. The service was very good otherwise so points for that.

Went to this fabulous bar with my family. Fantastic ambience great staff very friendly and helpful. Amazing starters and the best cocktails I have had in a very long time. The barman Mo Riyad made amazing cocktails he knew our taste and did not dissapoint he is absolutely brilliant I am looking forward to going there again and have cocktails made by him he really deserves alot of praise his knowledge of making the cocktails is phenomenal thank Mo Riyad look forward to coming there again to have those amazing cocktails you make. It was a random please where we went with my friend for a few cocktails. However MD Riyad created outstanding cocktail just based on my average description! I couldn't believe that it's possible! I really recommend this bar and cocktails! Additionally you will get perfect service and nice atmosphere.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I don't think there are words to describe how impressed I was with the service and the quality of the cocktails I received at the Pine bar. Me and my friends were greeted by lasmina when we first arrived and we were greeted with a warm smile. We got seated in less than a minute. She offered us water, olives and a nut mix, which is something you rarely see in London, within a minute or two. I started off with an Amaretto sour which was 11/10. The drink was perfect. Not too sweet nor was there too much foam to just fill the glass like most places like to do. When I was almost finished with my drink, the waiter/ bartender Nestor came over and asked if we would like any more cocktails. I told him which flavour I would like and he did it superbly. I don't know what cocktail he made but it was sweet & sour. It was cold, refreshing, garnished beautifully and overall an experience I will never forget. Whenever I come to Mayfair again, I will be coming here again 1000%. Thank you to all the team members for the wonderful experience but in particular, lasmina and Nestor!

I had a great experience here for my birthday last night. The atmosphere felt cozy and alive, and the staff were so lovely and helpful. I ordered the Old Fashioned and it was one of the best I've ever had! I will definitely be coming back when I'm next in London!

We went there to find out that all previous staff left or been moved to the other bar just because they have decided to leave the company . not as good as it used to be unfortunately

My first experience in the Pine bar was in December and we were stunned. Now apparently all the team left including the Head Bartender and this time it wasn’t good as expected. A tall Indian guy told us that the bar was closed for a private event but he didn’t tell us until what time or suggested any other places around, then another team member Called Martina asked us to wait 30minutes for the table and so we waited. Once we had the table everything was very slow and confusing, the male manager covering the bar had no idea of any cocktails and he couldn’t make any recommendation. We ordered couple of Passion fruit Martini to be safe but they charged us over £20. Honestly I don’t think we will be back.

Me and my friends visited on the 19th to the pine bar. It was absolutely amazing, you come here for the service and the drinks to have a catch up. Less sociable. The cocktails are creative and full of flavour. We were seated by this beautiful women with dark hair (I commented on her heels as they looked great) she was very attentive, kind and gave us great suggestions as I wanted something sweet and fruity. We then were given a complimentary drink due to taking a little longer to bring back my friends change which was super kind and thoughtful as they made something we would like. We didn’t stay for too long but will definitely be back as I’ve never had service like this before. Thank you for such a wonderful experience

I cannot, in all sincerity, say whether it is the best Cocktail Bar in the City, but it is certainly an experience worth trying if you want to drink well in a refined and friendly environment. Thanks to Giorgio, Klinston, Raymund and Ciro for making us feel at ease.

Honestly, really impressed by the quality of cocktails, their complexity and captivating history. Our bartender Joshua was extremely competent, knowledgeable and charismatic; the way he made up the whole new drink for us just based on our taste and alcohol preferences is super impressive. Will definitely come back.

We didn’t know The Pine Bar until we tried tonight, a unique experience, very unexpected, amazing cocktails and a service attention to the smallest details from the welcome, the waiter explained the cocktails meticulously and with big professionalism and the bar manager suggested us the right cocktail based on our taste, I really recommend this place and I wouldn’t be surprised if one day will be in top 50 best bar!

A fun spot with warm service and a cocktail menu worthy of the price tags applied. We arrived on a Thursday evening; quite quiet so I'd not be minded to book in future visits. Best enjoyed on someone else's credit card (with permission, of course).

We came for London Cocktail Week. The service and cocktails were outstanding. The bartender, Joshua, uses a secret recipe for his falernum, which really elevated the fruity cocktail. No detail is overlooked. Highly recommend!

Popped into Pine Bar in London recently and was genuinely impressed. The vibe's cozy, but the real stars of the show were Antonio and Nesto. These guys nailed the service! Attentive, friendly, and always on point, they made our evening super chill. If you're looking for a relaxed spot with top-notch service, Pine Bar's where it's at. Big props to Antonio and Nesto for making it memorable!

Mi amigo y yo acabábamos de tomar el té de la tarde y nos apetecía una bebida antes de salir del hotel, así que decidimos probar el Pine Bar. Aunque no es grande, la habitación es cómoda y acogedora, y tiene un ambiente agradable. Pedí un martini de fruta de la pasión que se hizo bastante rápido y nos lo trajeron junto con algunos bocados de cortesía. El personal fue muy amable y acogedor. Los precios eran razonables para el centro de Londres.

Staff very attentive, good location. However, on arrival we were shown to the raised area just off the main area, it wouldn't have been an issue, except we were the only four sitting there, there was room in the main area. Our two tables were the only tables that had been laid, we felt that we were sat there because we were on an offer (Champagne afternoon tea £39 for two). When asked if everything was ok, we commented that the bread was dry, the waitress apologised but didn't ask if we require fresh sandwiches. Having visited many Hotels in London for afternoon tea, we were very disappointed and would not recommend the Millennium Hotel.

The Pine Bar is the only place where you can eat on Sunday at hotel Millenium Mayfair. The atmosphere is very nice, the menu offers various dishes of excellent food at an acceptable price given the city (London) and the level of the hotel.

The Pine Bar in the Millennium Hotel London Mayfair is a nice place to gather for drinks with friends. The service is attentive and there is a wide selection of drinks available. Light food may be ordered as well. During the past week we visited this bar on several occasions.

I stayed at this hotel in Mayfair with my partner in October this year. my thoughts on the hotel itself were mixed given the deplorable housekeeping, the shabby finishings in certain parts of the room, and lack of appropriate business deportment by the reception staff.however this bar is a real late night treat. we went there most nights of our stay. the staff were super attentive; the drinks, whilst dear were well made and of generous proportions and the snacks yummy. the piano player player has a large song sheet and takes all requests.Thoroughly enjoyable and recommended.

The atmosphere and decor are terrible. In fact, we would have not gone in if someone had not told us the food was excellent. The service and food could not have been better. The prices were very good. The best fish and chips I have ever had.

But it's a little dark I prefer so where with more windows to look out on but the service was good and the sport on the TV was popular with my husband !

We visited the Pine Bar on Saturday evening for some early evening drinks before dinner at 34 restaurant. This place was fairly empty and characterless. The prices are astronomical. Two gin and tonics (Beefeater) and two Grey Goose vodka tonics came to just under £50. The only plus side is that it's not radioactive any more (and I'm just guessing at that). Do not drink here - it has to be the most expensive bar I have ever encountered in London.

I stopped in here for a glass of wine on both nights during my hotel stay. It was a pleasant and quiet atmosphere. The prices were rather typical of London hotel bar. The service was friendly and professional. It is certainly not a destination bar but a comfortable spot to unwind at the end of the day.

Nothing. This bar plays on the fact that most guests want a pre-dinner or a dink before they go to their function. Guests will see why the bar is empty!

Une carte d'en-cas assez limitée mais les plats sont frais et de bon goût.Nous avons passé d'excellents moments dans ce bar et reviendrons avec plaisir.
