Found this restaurant by chance today when walking by. Absolutely beautiful lunch. I opted for chicken dish and hubby had roast beef. Both dishes were piping hot and came served with mash, roast potatoes, peas, carrots, cabbage, broccoli and cauliflower. Staff were very friendly and asked during the meal if everything was okay. Total for both meals came to £23. I can honestly say we have eaten in hotels recently and none of them came up to the standard of food of this establishment. Will certainly return.

This is a little gem of a restaurant. The food is amazing and service top class. Very easy to miss for bigger establishments in banbridge but well worth the visit. My go to when in town for lunch

Lovely coffee and desserts. The owner was welcoming and friendly, service with a smile and positivity added to our day. You never know how much the little things mean to someone and can make their day. Other members of staff also incredibly welcoming and amiable. Definitely a personal service and made to feel valued as a customer/ person which is rare in cafes/ catering settings. You wouldn't get service and kindness like this in the bigger coffee chains, this is a little hidden jem.

Food was ok but order was wrong. The old lady working there was being bossed about and still was really nice but the owner who took the order and messed it up was extremely rude. On two occasions he told me to wait as my lunch got cold. 1st was to clean an empty table and 2nd was to take an order from a table that wasn't ready to order. My meal arrived 10mins before my wife and I was refused to use the toilet as they are for staff only. I was a fairly regular customer who will not ever set foot in there again after the way the owner treated my wife and I. Will be going to Citezens Advice regarding being refused to use the toilet. Will be taking this matter as far as I can go. Will be seeking the highest order applicable.

Lovely lunch, great service and great value for money, will definately be back. Stuffed steak was delicious and best lemon meringue I've had in a long time. Family friendly as well.

Excellent little cafe with beautiful homemade deserts. A good selection of food from snacks to fill meals. Servidd CCD e was attentive and friendly but not intrusive.

Ordered 2 large frys and a small fry, Tea for 3 and 3 dilute juices. Bill £29. The large fry consisted of 2 sausages 2 bacon 2 poached eggs, lots and lots of fried soda, fried wheaten fried potato bread and fried pancake. No beans, no mushrooms, no tomatoes, not even a slice of toast. Sorry folks but your fry was the worst in town, was also awfully expensive. Presentation was just aweful. We ordered the dilute to try wash the fried breads down.I wouldn't be back to this place. Tea should at least be in the price. Tried it for a change, won't be back.

Food is and excellent standard for the town. A bit of care by the chef goes a long way and this wee place says it all. Good selection, well presented and its clear the owner and staff put a lot of effort into every dish and customer

I have visited many times over he years. Always friendly service and incredible food. Angela the waitress always has a smile and a friendly smile. They always treat customers like family it doesn’t matter if it’s your first visit or your one hundred visits and omg the portion size is amazing. I hope that they open up again soon. 🥰

Had carry out dinner of roast beef and it was delicious.

Called into cafe just passing as it was raining what a gem. The food was superb very generous portions The staff were very helpful and plesent and most of all very well priced A great surprise would definitely recommend

Food is lovely portions are big, staff will go out of the way to accommodate you. Proper old fashioned customer service.

Good honest food, reasonably priced and decent choice for a small café

Stopped off on way home as I read good reports. I just ordered a prawn cocktail starter which I am partial to. Well shrimp cocktail came. Sauce was insipid. Presentation ok. Good selection on board of about 7 specials priced at 8.50.stg each. And menu also extensive. Place is popular,busy,and clean. I will return for lunch one day. I ordered a americano with cream. Total was 7.05 stg.

Piggotts, and especially the owners and staff, is a delightful stop off on the trip North. The food is homemade - if it’s morning time, you have to try the sausage rolls. It’s only a couple of minutes diversion from the A1 and parking is easy in the town, lots of street and off street parking.

Absolutely fantastic food at a very reasonable price from staff who go out of their way to make sure you feel at home. This is a regular spot for us simple because I have never found better. It's small but worth waiting for. Very highly recommended

Went here today for lunch after shopping. The food was fantastic & very well presented. I had an open prawn sandwich. Really good wheaten bread & a lovely salad assortment, egg, beetroot,peppers tomatoes,cheese,coleslaw, lettuce & a rice salad. The prawns were good & for me the sauce just right. The chicken burger was good as was their chicken pie from the specials board. There was a bacon, egg & chips with thick tasty bacon & a perfectly done fried egg. The service was the best I have had anywhere in a very long time. Not sure if the gentleman serving us was the owner but he went over & above to make us enjoy our meal. He left an extra portion of chips on the table then gave us a cheesecake with 4 spoons to share. These small gestures made an already great lunch that bit more special & we appreciated it. It’s not big inside the the food & service make it a must for lunch. We will be back. Great value for money also.

Only restaurant worth going to in Banbridge at lunch time. Always busy, which speaks volumes for the quality of the food & service, particularly their desserts. Would really like to try a bit of everything! Angela always has a smile & takes a minute for a quick chat no matter how busy. Great place!!

Went here today with my mum,dad and 2 year old son for a birthday lunch as my mum and dad had discovered this little hidden treasure a while ago and they frequent it regularly.This however was my first time,and it did not disappoint!My dad had the roast beef dinner,which was the most tender roast beef ever,and my mum and I had the peppered beef.All huge portions and accompanied by mash,roasties,Yorkshire puds and broad selection of veg.Everything on the plate was faultless....cooked to perfection and of the freshest quality and of the highest standard.My son had sausages and chips,again a great portion size,delicious non-greasy chips and only £3.50!For dessert we had rice pudding and strawberry cheesecake,both to die for.The owners are friendly,welcoming and so accommodating!The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the staff are courteous and kind.Great price,great food!Will be back tomorrow with the hubby to try the stroganoff for sure!

Actually the best food in the town. Had their Xmas dinner with another people and all of us were surprised by how good it was.

Good food always staff the best

Been here several times now whilst in Northern Ireland. Piggotts is a great place to eat whether you want a snack, a dessert and coffee, or a full dinner. It is decorated very well and is spotlessly clean, the staff are very welcoming and pleassant to talk to. They have a great menu with several daily specials to choose from, they're all served piping hot and are very tasty. But don't forget to leave room for some dessert which all look delicious in the display cabinet, it's hard to choose between the home made Apple Pie & Cream or the beautiful Pavlova! Hope to visit again soon.

Excellent cuppa and sandwich fit to burst. Relaxed cafe atmosphere. My husband loves it too!

Visited Banbridge on Tuesday so visited piggotts for lunch.we ordered the roast beef dinner on specials board.i can honestly say it was one of the best dinners we have had for a long time.roast beef was delicious with lovely vegetables.

My kids and I love it here, we would not go anywhere else in town.

My Mum and I stopped here for lunch whilst out shopping for the afternoon. We both had a baked potato which was cooked to perfect. The potato was so soft it practically melted in our mouths. It was served with salad and was presented beautifully. We decided to share dessert together and thank goodness we did. The slice of pavlova was near the size of some cakes. Even sharing it we couldn't finish it. Again the presentation was beautiful and it was delicious! We'd recommend this cafe to anyone. Not only was the food good but the customer service was second to none. The staff were very attentive and attended every table engaging in conversation with people. Such a friendly bunch. We stopped here by chance but would certainly call back again if ever in Banbridge. The photos On TripAdvisor don't do this cafe justice. It seems to be an outside catering event.

We came in for a quick lunch on the recommendation of a parking warden so we weren't overly optimistic. However, it did the job marvellously. The food was well prepared and generous portions and there were some really fresh and tasty desserts in the chiller cabinet. We had lemon meringue pie (huge portion) but it was a really tough toss up with the pavlova. Really helpful and friendly service. Don't be put off by the negative reviews (and the photos aren't actually of the restaurant, I think it must have been some outside catering that they did), great little place in the centre of Banbridge.

Precioso almuerzo con mi madre! Tuvimos sándwiches tostados con ensalada, que estaba muy sabroso y bien presentado. El personal era muy amable incluso reponía bebidas calientes sin preguntarnos (buen detalle) buena relación calidad-precio. Vamos a volver muy pronto.

We came here on Wednesday lunchtime. The staff were pleasant and affable. The place was clean and the menu was good. I ordered the quiche and it was really nice. The price was reasonable. We will definitely be coming back here!

Un café muy agradable, con excelente servicio y buena comida, bien servido los chicos aquí Alan y Steven correr un excelente café y he comido aquí con frecuencia a lo largo de los años, y todavía criticar con algo.

On a cold and dreary Wednesday we headed to Piggotts for some grub only one table left ( good sign ) we were seated and in no time at all our food was on the table I opted for good old Irish stew lemon meringue and a coffee to finish all great ,good size portions service was efficient and very courteous .

Had Christmas lunch with my husband. Food was delicious piping hot beautifully presented by pleasant staff. Premises spotless and lovely decor. We really enjoyed our meal and will return soon.

called in for lunch seen on the special sweet chilli chicken pitta.came out with pitta bread out of a packet and three chicken coupons that were slightly crunchy sittin on top of the pitta pocket which should of been inside it.there was some kinda sweet chilli sauce/mayo sauce over the top of coujons.was edible and ate it cos was hungry but didn't finish it all and I would usually leave a clean plate.the chips werent fresh chips more like oven chips out of Iceland. maybe it was a bad choice of what to eat but wouldn't rush back. came to £15 something for two dinners I could of made for a fiver at home

I visited Piggotts Tuesday 8th very busy which lets you know how good it is.the food was great so tasty.definatly worth a call when you are in the neighbourhood .

From the outside it looks a standard Irish dive. But they make everything from scratch! I had a chicken tikka sandwich and the spices on the chicken were obviously a home rub. My mom loves their home made peppercorn sauce. Staff are also really friendly and helpful!

Called in one Saturday and the place was packed,good sign as everyone was looking to be happy with their meal,the meal we ordered came out quickly and was piping hot and well presented more than happy with everything including the bill ,we will be back

Worst 'burger' in my life, and expensive to boot.Okay, so my son and I were in there today for a quick bite to eat. I should have sensed impending doom even before I was seated as even before I got my bum to the seat I was handing a menu on the way down. There's seating for probably 40 people at capacity with two rows of four seaters leading up the counter, with large ornate mirrors on one side, and uninspiring images framed on the opposite wall.The staff were too efficient, if that's even possible? The two dears seated next to us upon leaving had to step around one of the servers who was at their table as they rose to put their coats on, she wasn't one to have it sitting.We opted for the Quarter Pound Cheese Burger which was simply that, a cheese burger. No trimmings, no side, no nothing, oh, except this weird stick through it, which wasn't a stick but a piece of heated dry spaghetti. The burger was cheap and nasty and tasted of nothing, the burger bun base gave the impression that the whole thing had been warmed in a microwave.I shared a portion of chips with my son, and we had to ask for ketchup as none was provided, which the duly supplied in those two tiny sachets that you would see in a cafe, but this place calls itself a restaurant. I was paying £3.95 for this thing, but it was probably on sale in Tesco for £1. My son didn't finish his burger due to it being too dry, and I struggled through mine even with another sachet of sauce.So in summary, a poor dining experience only to be topped off with a whacking disproportionate bill that even itemised my sauces. I was charged 30p for four packets of sauce, and even though I only used three I demanded a refund for the fourth, I should have been informed that these things weren't free/complimentary. The total bill nearly came to £17 for two cheap quality disgusting burgers, a portion of chips and 2 small bottles of soda.I'm shocked they didn't count the grains of salt we lavished upon our chips to work out how much to charge for that.Not only will I not enter this premises again, I will even cross the road to avoid seeing those poor customers who are in for a surprise at the till.

Just perfect. ..We were greeted well , the premises are immaculate, the fry I had was none greasy and had quality components, definitely worth a visit, I shall return.

If you should happen to be in Banbridge do visit this restaurant which is off the main street. The food is delicious and well made. You can have coffee / tea and one of their great tray bakes or cakes or if it is lunch time they have very good lunch specials.
