another lovely dinner from here great portions and came hot!

First time trying was pleased with portion sizes and quick delivery. The chicken was a little dry though but gravy sorted that bit gutted wasn't home made Yorkshire puds but can't have it all haha definitely will be ordering again though when I can't be bothered to cook a Sunday dinner, hopefully have puddings next time too.

Went for a breakfast early Sunday morning, a good portion size and great value for money. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Pie and gravy where great. Side was listed a "Chunky Chips" but what i got would definitely be better described as "Fries" - being thing and crispy and in no way chunky.

The food tasted really funny like the grill had just been cleaned then the food put straight on, smelt like cleaning products. Very strange, tried it and put it straight in the bin! £16 for the pleasure 🙃 1 hour 15 mins for delivery. Won’t be buying again!

Food was absolutely awful. Roast beef filled yorkshire pudding had cooked sandwich beef that tasted awful, microwave veg and mash, oven roasties and everything was blander than bland. How you can charge £11 for that is beyond me. Never again

Absolutely disgusting frozen Yorkshire pudding with shrivelled up wafer thin roast beef microwaved. Frozen carrots hard . Mash and gravy ok. For what I paid for this dinner I could have bought better at Iceland. I am livid that a company can send out such garbage. I have had food before from this company and it was really good. The Yorkshire pudding was tough and like a pan cake. Altogether I paid over £30 for this which was totally not worth it . I am disabled and I bought this as a treat for me and my grandson. Unbelievable.

Unfortunately the delivery was 30 mins late, chicken breast was very dry and no roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings are also the pre cooked ones not home made, bit disappointing overall as I heard good things from friends.

£11.95 was for roast beef filled Yorkshire pudding .. the roast beef was cheap sandwhich beef was like see through it was that thin , was like plastic from been heated not as described and for the price was terrible quality of meat

Standard pie n mash shop. Very clean very friendly. Pies I had was beef n opinion. And very average. Gravy n mash were standard mass produced fare. Edible but wouldn't rush back. Coffee was good. Sausages were good. Not particularly cheap but the pie and mash deal weekdays from 11-14:00 looks like a reasonably good offer.

Very poor for the price pies was like cardboard and the mash was like a school dinner smash from the packet. Awful paid £35 for 3 sausage and mash meals which didn't come with gravy and then 2 pie and mash meals foul. Not again will I be ordering from here again

Was told that there was no delivery driver (which was fine and the lady was wonderfully polite) so my order would be cancelled. Order was never cancelled, refund still not given and status says delivered which it certainly wasn't 😠

Good food but lukewarm ,had to go into microwave to heat it up. Apparently there was a road block so driver was late.

Placed an order for delivery after my daughter had just come out of hospital from having her baby. Having cooked the potatoes and vegetables, our order was cancelled 20 minutes AFTER the order was due for delivery. No explanation or apology. We could not get through over the telephone. The supermarkets had closed so we were unable to go and buy anything substantial for her Sunday lunch to accompany what we had already prepared. To add insult to injury, comments were taken down from a post promoting the business. Others had stated that they had had a similar experience. I appreciate that mistakes happen and stock can be low but it should be dealt with in a professional manner and to then remove any negativity is misconceiving. Unfortunately we will never order again due to the way it has been handled, and the fear of whether our order would actually show.

Definitely DO NOT recommend! Ordered on Sunday after just coming out of hospital having a baby! Ordered at 2pm for 5 people for a pre order of 4.30pm. It got to 4.50pm and STILL NO FOOD and then text at 4.55pm to say they have to cancel our order! All our veg prepared at home ready to go as well! Tried calling and shock.. no answer! Now I have to wait for my refund. Don’t take orders if you can’t handle the heat in the kitchen😠😡 AWFUL SERVICE. WILL NOT USE THIS PLACE EVER AGAIN!

We were looking for something to eat and stumbled across this little place and I must say we were pleasantly surprised. We had a yardie lads breakie and scrambled egg, mushrooms on toast. All was cooked fresh to order. Excellent value for money.

Lives up to its name. Serves splendid pie and mash. Has filling puddings as well.

Nothing for vegetarians today apparently, no veggie breakfast, no veggie pies, no veggie gravy had to leave empty handed. Lady said they're keeping stocks low. Disappointing. 😞

Fantastic handmade pies. Really fills a hole in the soul! Not the most varied vegetarian options, but the vegetable pie I had was delicious. Served with chunky chips and gravy. Perfect northern food.

Food delivered late half an hour after estimated time. Part of the order been missing. It was black pudding in my vegetarian breakfast. Food looked like leftovers or like someone dropped it. The packaging was broken I had bits of plastic in my food,sausages been broken,bread looked like someone had a bite of it or ripped it in half. Disappointment

Visited Pie and Mash Hull for breakfast last weekend and was served by Diane. The food was ok, and the price was reasonable, but Diane was so attentive, caring and warm which created a lovely atmosphere. 5 Stars for the friendly customer service alone! :)

Friendly service. But the layout of the pies was a bit dissapointing, the labels were upside down so it was a trouble seeing the options. We ordered the cauliflower curry pie, but recieved the chicken curry. This was frustrating and quite poor considering I am vegetarian. However, I gave it to my partner and he enjoyed it (but didn't enjoy the mash).

Lovely selection of pies and tarts, and very tasty. Traditional and some more interesting meat pies and good a choice of vegetarian ones.

Tasty food (I had the mined beef, mash, gravy and cup of tea) and good service. First pie I've had in Hull that had good pastry.

Amazing atmosphere, lovely service and lovely food

Comfort food on a cold day. It arrived luke warm (to be expected) pie was on top of the mash in a small box which was awkward to get out of. I ordered garden peas & got mushy peas, so a lot of mash on one plate along with the gravy. Hence three stars. It tasted delicious, can't complain at all here. I suggest to go & collect as the £3 delivery charge made the meal expensive for what you get.

Let down. Having eaten from here before I thought the portion sizes and options looked good and did seem enjoyable the first time. Just took an hour and a half for food to arrive with the website estimating 45 minutes. We decided to cook some veg at home because they only offered 2 different types of peas as a veg. Didn’t remember so little option last time. Sadly, I reckon we must have been on the drivers last drop off, because our food was cold. Another thing that I kind of don’t understand is. If you’re going to be a place that sells sides individually, then I think you should package them individually. My wife’s came with something in her box which she didn’t even want and I ordered as an extra for myself. Isn’t nice writing a bad review, but I feel out of pocket for the experience

Been here multiple times now and the quality of the food is great, steak and ale pies are lovely as is the minted lamb would recommend to anyone :)

Worse pie I have ever eaten pastry was rubbery filling was tasteless, the mash was just instant and if it wasn’t you’ve over worked it because it would be perfect as wall paper paste and there was more smell coming from the cheap cardboard boxes you packaged the food in, wanted to go to this place for ages and have been fully disappointed if this is a taste of London then I’m glad I’m a northerner.

Great to see some amazing home comfort food to eat in. A little slice of lomdon culture in hull. Good selection of pies and sides. Deserts sounds amazing some great specials to come. I got the chicken balti with chips, peas snd liquor. My dad got the steak and ale and it looked great woth big chunks of meat. Food was great. Great price. Thry offer delivery snd the staff were chatty and friendly. Will be going back. Nice to see somwthing different in newland.
