Picnic Social in Welwyn Hatfield

So happy to have such an amazing restaurant on my door steps. Went for Taco Tuesday with some delicious options (The Pork being my favourite) if you're in Welwyn garden city it is definitely a place to hit up in the evening usually doing burgers and jerk chicken but honestly something amazing always pops up on the menus!

The burger (classic) I think I had OMG it just melted in my mouth, only downside was the wait. But guys well worth it

Went to get a takeaway at this spot, food is always great and portions are very generous! We did have a wait a lot longer than usual and they ran out of plantain which we had already placed an order for. But we got did get free drinks and a free brownie as compensation. Cannot recommend picnic enough, if you want great authentic food check them out you won’t be disappointed

Popped down tonight with my boyfriend to see what the hype is about, was not disappointed. We had Korean loaded fries and brown butter fries and omg they were banging! Owner is super friendly and chatty telling us about his new menu coming which we will be back to try for sure! Nice setting as well on a warmer evening we look forward to taking a seat and enjoying the atmosphere. Over all a top quality place and vibe! Little hidden gem in the town for sure

What can I say! This place is awesome. A surprise birthday. Gathering in which the owner went. Out of his way to accommodate everybody. And make everyone feel comfortable and welcomed. Chilled vibes, excellent food, great selection of alcohol and soft drinks.Nothing seem too much effort and polite, prompt service at all times.If you’re looking for somewhere that will cater for anyone and accommodate everyone. This is the place for you.

Having sampled most items on the menu, we can attest to Picnic Socials consistent excellence. Each dish is a testament to quality ingredients and skilled preparation. 10/10 for Food and service we had the Aoili burger, chicken wrap and tots (which were all insanely good) - Atmosphere was incredible and felt so welcomed from the moment we walked in and our puppy Luna loved meeting the team xx It will definitely be somewhere we return to time and time again, cannot wait for the weather to turn warmer as I feel it will be our new hang out spot ❤️

The food is very good. Best burgers around by far and the jerk chicken is delicious!!! Great little setting, great music. Love this place, looking forward to some summer evenings here 💖

Tried a Sunday j- late - lunch from Picnic - excellent. Will defo be back

Wow what a sunday roast that was, the flavours that these guys put together in there meals are unmatched, the parsnip puree was a hidden little treasure under the greens. Chicken seasoned and cooked to perfection, THE GIANT yorkie puds where unbelievable and the blueberry crumble OMG!!! The kids lived the chocolate brownie pudding, and the entertainment (arcade machine, giant jenga etc) The service was above and beyond, the atmosphere, the entertainment, and the food is just unbeatable and being dog friendly for well behaved dogs is a plus!!! Smashing it 💪🏻 we will be back again thats for sure!!! Would recommend to everyone get yourselves down for a 10/10 roast on a sunday! And the weekday menu is just as good!

Ordered the truffle burger and brown butter fries this evening, absolutely phenomenal flavours and texture of the burger together was just amazing, well worth every penny!!

First visit. Great burger & chips - beating town. Fast friendly service. It was a miserable mid December evening when I visited and we were the only two there for most of the time sitting inside, hence thec stars for atmosphere. Will visit again though for the food alone and looking forward tonthe summer evenings to sit outside

Really great location and the food was amazing - only gave it a 4 for atmosphere as it was a freezing night so we just picked food up and left. Am looking forward to visiting in the summer when we can sit outside!!

Warm welcome, music playing and extensive menu. We had between us the Chilli cheeseburger, the Barbecue burger, jerk fries and Birria fries. The burgers were insanely good, they stole the show and the fries very good. We will be back!

Food is great and portions are large. Brilliant atmosphere and Jay is a great host. Will definitely be back.

Ok so first off we ordered our food and sat for over an hour waiting . whilst watching other people coming in ( after us ) and ordering their food only to get it before us. we was the last family in there waiting and watched many come and go who ordered after us . The food wasn't great either. steak was very overdone and has far to much different seasonings on it I couldn't eat it . at 17.50 that's shocking 😲 The coleslaw is just red cabbage with a mix of I presume spring onion and cucumber? wasn't nice The tacos were so small my poor son had hardly anything to eat for dinner I'm really annoyed at £11.50 for 2 tacos shocking portion sizes there. Jerk chicken was flavorful and nice but half a pot of red cabbage and freezing cold chips wasn't nice. overall 4/10 We won't return to try again based on service alone.

Quite simply, the best street food outside of London! Exceptional burgers, jerk chicken wraps,vegan & veggie options and a great selection of delicious sides.

Best chicken in Hertfordshire! I love going to hang out at Picnic, and to get some jerk chicken from Jay and the team. Plus they’re always trying out new twists to recipes to keep the menu fresh and interesting. Definitely swing by if you get the chance.

Just pukka. Fresh, clean and smart flavours! Affordable, pukka location, great tunes and the peeps who work there, all know their shizzle! Top banana all round!

Been here a few times now and the food service and vibes never disappoint, sometimes have DJs playing too which is great! If you like dining outside with a day family vibe and evening party vibe, then what are you waiting for get yourself down there :-)

Everything I have tried here is amazing. Best burgers, proper loaded fries, delicious jerk chicken, and such a variety of other interesting dishes to choose from. Nice atmosphere in the evening, and they deliver which is helpful on rainy days. Every time I've introduced people to Picnic, they always say they can't wait to go back for more. A hidden gem and an asset to the town.

Delicious food bit quite small portions and restraunt prices. I cant knock the food at all but for these prices I want service and a decent portion.

Wonder and amazing options of burgers they also do a special deal for burgers and fries the sauces are to die for. Plus, you can bring friends and family over play games jam to some banging tunes to top it off during the hot weather

If like me, you have wizzed past this place on your way home from the station. Next time STOP and GO IN!! We went tonight for the first time and I am still on an absolute high from the incredible food! Bravo guys. We will be back 👏

These people make fresh food with love, it’s comfort food which gives you the warm blanket of a meal made by serving up food you’d be proud to make at home, with welcoming people making the food, great range of food and drink choices, great location where I’d fully recommend you to stop by as I plan to again soon 😁

I’ve been here a couple of times now and I can’t say a bad thing about it! Great food, friendly staff and an amazing vibe! Cocktails are on point and happy hour was lethal. Would definitely recommend! I will be back soon for sure

10/10. Full of flavour and not dry. Had the jerk bowl with rice, Mac and cheese, Tater tots and a side of jerk and every bit of it was mouth watering. Honestly perfect 👌🏽

I dropped by for a cheeky burger and was delighted by the reception I got and the the very cool industrial style of the outdoor dining in the sunshine. The burger was cooked to perfection and I had a great experience here. You should come, bring friends - you will not be disappointed.

Amazing food and massive portions so it’s super good value. The only local place I’ve found that does live-fire cooking and the meat is always perfect!! Cannot recommend enough! Really lovely team too x

My fiancé and I have been meaning to eat at Picnic since he had a seriously delicious burger here over a year ago. We finally made it there tonight, and oh my goodness, it was every bit as good as he remembered. Look at the picture I posted. Would you believe these dishes are all SIDES!? The portions are incredibly generous, and every single thing was an explosion of delightful flavours. I want to highlight the plantain first; I'm from the Caribbean, so I know a good plantain when I taste it. In this case, it were better than good. Hands down the best plantain I've had in the UK! The plantain was so tasty, I genuinely think it would be a hit back in my hometown. (If any fellow Boricuas read this, think amarillos but even better!) The jerk chicken was a solid 10 too, tasty skin with a nice bite and soft juicy meat. And the combination of sauces on the korean fries... I'm going to dream of those, I am sure. The pesto dipping sauce is super fresh and tasty too, it's hard not to spoon it up on its own! In short, there's nothing here that I wouldn't recommend. Try everything. You won't be disappointed. Kudos to the cook, and a big thank you to him for firing the fryer back up when we ran in late on a rainy evening! He went above and beyond, and we really appreciate it.

Tried Picnic for the first time last week not expecting much and I was blown away by how good everything was. Beautiful flavours and large portions.

Great spot for some food. Got the chicken box with chips and have to say, this was amazing. The portion size and taste was top class. I would have given this place 5 stars had it not been for: 1. The Milkshake. This really let the experience down. It was way too milky with little flavour (Oreo) or thickness. Not what I expected for £5. 2. The wait. The food is excellent so busyness is expected. Had to wait over 35mins for the order. Nonetheless highly recommend.

WGC needs more spots like this! Good quality food with bold flavours and so happy to see vegan options given so much love and not being just an afterthought. House vegan burger (with extra pickles) and the korean fries combo is just perfect!
