Lovely food and staff. Daniela was our waitress for this night, great customer service.

What a find! We were staying at the nearby Premier Inn and were looking for somewhere close by to eat. Our expectation was that it would be just somewhere to sate our hunger and nothing more. How wrong we were as we had an amazing experience. It started with a very warm and engaging welcome by Daniela who despite being busy took the time to talk to us. We particularly appreciated that she chatted through one of our menu choices to ensure we understood what we planned to order. The menu choice was excellent with both the usual favourites and some more unusual options. My husband really enjoyed his Margherita pizza which was as it should be - a thin base letting the freshness and simplicity of the topping stand out. My risotto al tartufo was particularly flavoursome, beautifully served in a very pretty bowl and with just a hint of”bite” to the rice. I was keen to try the roasted turnip tops as a side as this was new to me and I was so glad I did. They were absolutely delicious. There was a real vibe to the place and all the staff we encountered were so upbeat and friendly but also efficient. We loved the energy and passion they showed when delivering birthday greetings at several tables through the evening. However it was Daniela’s engagement and some of the insights she shared about her part of an Italy which made our visit so special.

Had two fabulous meals at this restaurant. The food was outstanding, the staff were attentive and brilliant. So sorry we live in Suffolk but will certainly be visiting again for great food when we return to Hull in the near future. Thank you so much for making our evenings a real treat.

Came here for a meal with my husband and in-laws for a pre Christmas meal. We needed somewhere around the Hull area as it's half way between us all. I'm really glad we chose here, the interior of the restaurant is beautifully decorated, the atmosphere is relaxed and the staff are wonderful. We all had a different starter and each dish was tasty. The mains my mother in-law said the Lasagne lacked seasoning but the pizza, mushroom and vegetable Ragu and the clam pasta dish was delicious, also really enjoyed the rosemary and garlic focaccia. Would definitely return if in the area and fancied Italian food.

Had a great experience at Riva Blue in kingswood, enjoyed the food and the alcoholic drinks were fab. James was particularly lovely and very attentive.

Bit disappointing if I'm honest. Lovely food but no atmosphere, the speediest of service and the male staff, of which there seemed to be a lot, were mostly not doing much The waitress was good and helpful. Just didn't have an atmosphere and it's not somewhere I'd rush back to.

Amazing food great service from start to finish and valentino, the barman cant do enough for you if theres a drink you want not on menu he will make it for you no probs very knowledgeable on various wines so deff a must visit in my book 10/10

What an amazing place, we literally dropped in on a whim because we were nearby. We almost had the whole place to ourselves, we felt like royalty and basically treated as if we were. Yes, the fresh pasta main dish was al dente, it's supposed to be ♥️👍 and we managed to order it with some extra prawns 😁 Both starters were just amazing and we did treat ourselves to a hand pulled tomato with basil bread 🤤 The prawns were off the charts amazing. We could of had both starters per person, and called it a day 😁 All the staff were amazing, absolutely zero issues with tweaking our food requests, and so helpful. Honestly, if you love Italian food, this has to be on your list of places to try. I know there is some history about this place, but whoever is running it now, along with the excellent staff, are on to a winner in my eyes... I could eat those starters again right now ♥️🤣

Haven’t visited since the change in ownership but a brilliant night at Riva Blu! We were served by Tilly and she was absolutely ace from start to finish. Steaks were cooked perfectly. Will look forward to returning.

Another fantastic meal & drinks! Nice to see some new things on the menu to try, the scallops went down a treat. We were looked after by Tilly who made sure we had a great time and always served us with a smile.

We ate here on a Saturday around 3.30pm. Really quiet which we liked but a shame as the food is so tasty and the team are lovely. First visit here and we were definitely not disappointed. Highly recommend!

I thought it was overpriced ..... Service was good ... Food was ok ... But not amazing ..... I recommend not having a sweet ..... It was 9 50 for a small piece of lemon cello .... Literally taken out of a fridge and two bits of basil put on for decorative purposes .... Staff are friendly and efficient and atmosphere was good. ... But at nearly 100 pounds for a three course average meal it's certainly not value for money ... Go when the offers are on midweek

although we had a lovely time and did overall enjoy the experience, i can say that i wasn’t fully satisfied with my main meal. i did get what i was asking for, but the taste was a little too overwhelming for me. our starter however was absolutely stunning and i thoroughly enjoyed it. i will say the prices were a little too high but it is a very visually appealing restaurant with top notch service.

Lovely food from a wide selection. Friendly and attentive staff.

We ate here on Saturday evening, arrived on time and was pleasantly surprised when we entered really nice looking decor and pleasant staff, everything started well we had our drinks they have a good selection and the kids liked their mocktails - We got our starters which were really nice, i had the arancini, the wife Probole fritters and the kids had dough balls and vegetable sticks, we all really enjoyed them than it went a bit downhill. The Mains took over an hour to come to us we did ask twice if they were on the way and the staff were helpful in saying they would be coming shortly and it did eventually come and than the disappointment. I had Paccheri Alla Lardiata, which didn't really taste of a lot to be honest and the pasta was under cooked , not Al dente just under cooked. My wife had Spaghetti Aglio Olio E Peperoncino which again was really disappointing it was basically spaghetti with basic tomato sauce there was zero chilli or any other flavor. One of my children had the make your own pizza which she was delighted with when came but having eaten a couple of the small pieces i than checked and there was a couple of raw bits of the pizza where it was really thick in parts and not stretched out or cooked enough, we were all too hungry after waiting an hour for it to come to complain and risk another wait. My other child had a basic penne with bolognaise sauce which she enjoyed and was pretty nice but overall we were disappointed. The Waitress we had was really nice and helpful and couldn't we really fault her, i think for the cost of the meal which is pretty top end for an Italian i was expecting a whole lot more so i don't think we'll be returning.

Fantastic location with excellent food

This was a group meal of 13 people to celebrate my mother’s 70th birthday. Tilly, who looked after our table was outstanding in every way. The other members of staff who chipped in seemed equally eager to help and sincere in their interactions. The food was excellent, the atmosphere perfect, and Tilly’s attentiveness and tireless effort over the course of the meal should be commended.

Staff were friendly and attentive. Megan looked after us really well. The food was lovely and the atmosphere warm and welcoming.

Probably the worst place I've eaten. Total rip of Food was les then average .Arrogant bar tender with attitude. Way over priced .The only good memory of the place was the pleasant waitress. Never go back again.

Upon entry to the restaurant you are greeted by incredibly pleasant staff. We were offered drinks at the bar or to go straight to our table. We opted to go straight to the table. The waitress Mollie was very attentive, paid attention to every detail of our order and even spotted that one of our drinks was slightly incorrect. When asked questions about menu items she was very knowledgeable and able to answer them very accurately. The servers were very polite too, the meals was delivered swiftly and the food was of an incredibly high standard and with an array of flavours that were absolutely delightful. Every staff member encountered was of a cheery disposition and willing to help giving the entire venue a fun but relaxed vibe. Prices were reasonable but really good value for the quality of food served. Well be returning again very soon, keep up the great work guys.

Slightly slow service getting drinks. Overlooked by our server Molly. She was very pleasant though. In fact interaction with all staff was. Starter arrived promptly. Considerable wait for mains... nice ambience & music good. Portions not overly generous for hungry male but might be fine for people who like a modest amount.

Visited last night for mums 85th birthday family meal. The food was excellent we decided to have selection of garlic bread, olives and requested the meatballs as starters. The meatballs were recommended as to the family as I had eaten there previously they did not disappoint, delicious as always. We had various mains and all were excellent. The deserts were mouthwatering delights. My mum was given a desert to takeaway for her birthday and ate later she was full of praise and said it was beautiful. Thank you to Nick and the rest of the staff the service was the best, top notch will definitely be returning x

Great food and service. Nick was so accomodating, nothing too much trouble. He even ensured mum got a boxed dessert to take home for her birthday. Really enjoyable time with family, will be returning soon.

My friends organised my baby shower here yesterday and the atmosphere was amazing! We had such a relaxed time and nothing was too much trouble for Nick, who was our host. All staff who came to the table were friendly and attentive. The food was amazing and we cannot wait to come back again! Thank you again!

Firstly I must say the staff are lovely and friendly, our server Megan was so bubbly and passionate! The food on the other hand wasn’t great. My partner and I both ordered the lasagne, it looked presentable until we started eating it. It was just pure mush, clearly wasn’t freshly cooked. Overcooked/heated to the point where it had no flavour whatsoever. We also ordered a garlic bread…it’s was dripping with oil which made it uncomfortable to eat, pure grease in the mouth! Had a side of roast potatoes, again very bland! Safe to say we won’t be returning. Shame as the staff are wonderful. Just the food that lets it down and sadly that’s the main reason we were there!

First time at this restaurant, very nice setting. Staff and service were excellent. Our meals were absolutely superb. Only little gripe we have is that a glass of wine was over £12! I appreciate that you pay premium prices in restaurants. But we still think this is too pricy. That said we will definitely be returning as everything else was superb. Highly recommended

Pleasant service at table and the food was delicious, newly branded restaurant name with increased prices from previous name. Recommended for the food, however if the hiked prices were to compete with nearby restaurants your in for a tough time. It's a massive place that can handle many covers, my advice lower prices fill the place

We went with our grandchildren children and the youngest can be a bit difficult at the best of times and James was so patient with him but visit was amazing food excellent thank you will be back .

Brilliant service from the waitress Tilly, served with a smile and went above and beyond for my nanna for her birthday.

After deciding to pop in for an impromptu lunch we couldn’t be happier! The service was wonderful, very attentive and personal, and our server Daniela was absolutely lovely. She brought an extra dimension to our meal with her energy and joy. We decided to order a few different items and share and everything was absolutely delicious. The pizza is authentic Neapolitan style and one of the best we’ve eaten in the UK. All the other sides and desserts were superb and we will 100% be returning. It’s on the pricey side but it’s just so worth the money.

Visited here on 26.7.2024 for early evening meal with a friend. Sat outside as it was nice and warm. The service was great and the food was nice. Good to see some new items on the menu. However it is on the expensive side and I think more people would use it on a regular basis if it wasnt so expensive. £14.00 for a plain margharita pizza.

Went out for a long awaited date night with my girlfriend and it was absolutely perfect the food was exceptional the atmosphere perfect and and the staff couldn't be nicer or more professional brilliant night had by both my girlfriend and myself .

The food was delicious. We wanted to try something different so we ordered the Gnocchi con ragu di salsiccia, not really knowing whether it would be enough for two. The dish arrived and Tilly the waitress cut open the garlic bread topping to reveal the Gnocchi and ragu sauce inside. The dish was seasoned to perfection and plenty for two to eat. It was great value for money, given the Gnocchi and garlic bread separately would have cost more. The meal was worth waiting for... and Tilly was a pleasure to talk to. We will definitely be eating here again.

Made very welcome here,great atmosphere. Looked at menu on website and prices were half the price than the menu,showed it to the manager who in turn went to the general manager,and I said were we going to get meals at that price both smiled at my friend and I and walked off. Will not be going again as expensive for what you get . My friend got ravioli and got 10 pieces for £16.95 . Then one of waitress clattering around moving tables and chairs . But staff very welcoming.

We received a really warm welcome from all the staff here - it’s one of the reasons we keep coming back! We chose Piccolino to celebrate my daughter’s graduation and we were really glad we did. The food was (as always) really tasty with good sized portions. Staff were attentive without being overly so which meant service went smoothly. We will be back and happily recommend the restaurant for all occasions.

Fantastic meal, so glad we went! Megan was fantastic, so nice to see someone with brilliant customer service (now lacking in this day and age) Only criticism I would say is more work needs to be done on the outside area to make it more appealing. Good luck with your graduation Megan!
