Lovely food , polite staff and reasonably priced

Brilliant service from the waitress Tilly, served with a smile and went above and beyond for my nanna for her birthday.

After deciding to pop in for an impromptu lunch we couldn’t be happier! The service was wonderful, very attentive and personal, and our server Daniela was absolutely lovely. She brought an extra dimension to our meal with her energy and joy. We decided to order a few different items and share and everything was absolutely delicious. The pizza is authentic Neapolitan style and one of the best we’ve eaten in the UK. All the other sides and desserts were superb and we will 100% be returning. It’s on the pricey side but it’s just so worth the money.

Visited here on 26.7.2024 for early evening meal with a friend. Sat outside as it was nice and warm. The service was great and the food was nice. Good to see some new items on the menu. However it is on the expensive side and I think more people would use it on a regular basis if it wasnt so expensive. £14.00 for a plain margharita pizza.

Went out for a long awaited date night with my girlfriend and it was absolutely perfect the food was exceptional the atmosphere perfect and and the staff couldn't be nicer or more professional brilliant night had by both my girlfriend and myself .

The food was delicious. We wanted to try something different so we ordered the Gnocchi con ragu di salsiccia, not really knowing whether it would be enough for two. The dish arrived and Tilly the waitress cut open the garlic bread topping to reveal the Gnocchi and ragu sauce inside. The dish was seasoned to perfection and plenty for two to eat. It was great value for money, given the Gnocchi and garlic bread separately would have cost more. The meal was worth waiting for... and Tilly was a pleasure to talk to. We will definitely be eating here again.

Tried the new Riva Blu restaurant on Kingswood and the service was great, as was the food. Will be bringing the family back!

Made very welcome here,great atmosphere. Looked at menu on website and prices were half the price than the menu,showed it to the manager who in turn went to the general manager,and I said were we going to get meals at that price both smiled at my friend and I and walked off. Will not be going again as expensive for what you get . My friend got ravioli and got 10 pieces for £16.95 . Then one of waitress clattering around moving tables and chairs . But staff very welcoming.

We received a really warm welcome from all the staff here - it’s one of the reasons we keep coming back! We chose Piccolino to celebrate my daughter’s graduation and we were really glad we did. The food was (as always) really tasty with good sized portions. Staff were attentive without being overly so which meant service went smoothly. We will be back and happily recommend the restaurant for all occasions.

Fantastic meal, so glad we went! Megan was fantastic, so nice to see someone with brilliant customer service (now lacking in this day and age) Only criticism I would say is more work needs to be done on the outside area to make it more appealing. Good luck with your graduation Megan!

Excellent atmosphere and very helpful staff. Good service. The food was well prepared but maybe lacking somewhat in flavour. The calzone was well baked but felt a bit bland.

One of my favourite restaurants for any occasion. Me and my wife come here for birthdays, anniversary, a date night, dinner or a coffee on a morning. We have never had a bad time here. We had a nice kid free night here last week, we always like to start the night at the bar, have a few drinks then go to our table. We don't really get desserts so we go back to the bar after our meal and have a couple of cocktails. What was really good this time was the bar staff couldn't do enough for us, and they were making us cocktails off the menu. We had a right laugh and really enjoyed the night and can't wait to go back. Think the barmans name is George, he was brilliant, and the lass working with him that night, both were class. The atmosphere here is really nice, perfect for first dates, family meals, special occasions anything really. If you like Italian food i would highly recommend coming here, you won't regret it.

Took my wife for her 70th birthday. We hsd a really good time. Staff are polite and welcomig, food is delicious. We have been there a few times always made to feel welcome and always good service.

Tonight, we had the pleasure of dining at Piccolo, an Italian restaurant that left us thoroughly impressed. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by Daniela, our waitress, who was absolutely lovely and made us feel right at home. For our meal, my partner had the the truffle chicken, which was cooked to perfection and had a rich, earthy flavor that was simply incredible. I had the duck, which was equally impressive, tender and full of flavor. Our daughter had the children's steak, which she loved – it was juicy and perfectly sized for her. To top it all off, we enjoyed a panna cotta for dessert that was the perfect blend of creamy and light, a delightful end to a fantastic meal and our daughter had an ice cream sundae which went down a treat! Piccolo’s cozy atmosphere and Daniela’s exceptional service made our evening truly special. We'll definitely be returning soon! Thank you for a lovely experience.

Good atmosphere & staff , sadly the food wasn’t good at all … small portions…. Overpriced for the portions and quality of food. Won’t be returning , sadly hull has so many top restaurants & underrated.

Valentino, for the amazing service and drinks!

Really nice and friendly place, can't fault the service from staff. The food is great (just a shame you don't get more) it's well cooked and presented well. (Just remember to order a side, if your hungry you will need it). We went for a birthday meal and when it comes to the cake you won't regret it was really good. You get a serenade, really nice touch.

We came for my partners Jessica birthday. Megan was an out standing waitress and her service was amazing. Eden the trainee waitress despite it being her 1st day was a natural. The food was outstanding! The price is exreamly cheap for the level of service provided. 100% recommend will come again!

Wonderful food and excellent service from James. He made us very welcome and nothing was too much for him. The food came out and it really was the best we have had. We came for a family birthday and we had a wonderful time especially as the service was very good.

The waitresses were superb! The food sadly was not very nice at all. Having to wait over an hour for the main course was so not worth the wait! . The chicken pasta dish was awful! The pasta was rubbery, vegetables cold and watery, chicken dry and no sauce as described on menu just a strong peppery taste (sadly one of the worse pasta dishes I have ever tasted). Waitress was lovely and did give the table two desserts which was lovely of her. Pizzas were bland and I still don’t understand why the magaritta had mint leaves on top which completely flavoured the pizza minty! Wasn’t nice watching the cooks using their fingers to put ham on top of the pizzas with no gloves on - sadly won’t be returning for the food. **thank you for your reply. I have to disagree with you stating it was basil on the pizza it most certainly was not - it was definitely mint and did flavour the pizza. The food really was appalling which is a shame. We eat Italian quite a lot and even the pasta was gluey and poor. The sauce had dried and the pizzas were over cooked and bland. Your waitresses are amazing but your food is most certainly not. This is not something we would want to repeat, thank you. **

Been here a few times and both the food and service were excellent. The chocolate fondants are unreal! Highly recommend this place! Our waitress Tilly was also brilliant and great with the kids too! Will definitely be back!

We was served by Tilly in the hull restaurant, lovely woman polite and helpful. Would definitely recommend eating there.

This is as good as a Michelin restaurant, in our opinion. My wife ordered duck and my meal was the lasagne. Usually, duck is not my favorite but my wife's meal was excellent. She is not keen on a meal with beef but after tasting my lasagne, she loved it. We also ordered the Pane della Casa and found the selections of breads to be the most delicious and unique assortment of breads we had ever ordered so far. Excellent! Molly, our waitress, was new but gave us quality service with a wonderful, personal touch. Then the last part was dessert, the chocolate truffles. As I write, we are tasting those in our hotel. Just as delicious as the rest of our fare. Do not be put off on the location of this restaurant. It is fine dining not to be missed.

The food is lovely and very good quality. The staff are a bit too forceful with their approach when asking to take orders. Overall good service, but stressful when staff approach too forcefully and regularly.

Booked a table for four and, on first entering the restaurant, it looked really nice. Open plan with plenty of room on and around the table. Our starters were lovely - we all had the prawn and brushetta- couldn't fault it at all, really tasty. We each had different mains - calzone - very average, pepperoni pizza - had about four pieces of pepperoni - roast duck - about a 5/10. The only positive was the lasagne which, apparently, was really nice The service was OK. Would we go again - probably not.

My Daughter booked the room at the front for a birthday ... Booked as a function room ... Then to be told food we had prepared could not be used ... . If it's a private function room why not as we were not using the restaurant ... Lots of drinks purchased by everyone who attended but people not impressed by the service charge on every bill ... Having to ask for it to be removed .. Lastly ...bar prices on drinks are way over inflated ... First drink ordered was Neck oil IPA ... £6 which I thought was fair for a pint in a place like that but when she opened a very small can out of sight that barely filled a half glass I could of choked ... Absolutely no need whatsoever ever to rinse your customers on drinks that way . .

Nice food good service but I had to knock them down two stars or one star due to the fact that they added gratuity to my bill of 10% and when you're paying over 150 quid it's just nice to be asked first but they didn't they did it on the bar tab and the food tab

Excellent Mother’s Day meal. The food is superb. We had, in our party, the lasagne, the ravioli, the fettuccine and the meatballs. All came with the most delicious, delicately seasoned sauces. We also had the focaccia and the mozzarella garlic breads - also excellent. Service was very good and the atmosphere throughout was pleasant and relaxed, despite it being a very busy day!

First visit to Piccolo (Hull) for Mothers Day on Saturday. . What an amazing experience from start to finish. The service was fantastic, the ambience was great, and the food was superb. I would award more than 5 stars if I could! From entering the restaurant to leaving after drinks and our meal - we couldn’t have asked for anything better. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff., The welcome on our arrival was greatly appreciated, and noticeable. Thanks for such a special evening! We will definitely be returning in the future. Also , an extra special mention to Megan who looked after us during our meal , and Tilly who served us our drinks on arrival , and arranged for us to sit at an alternative table (than had originally been allocated to us)

This evening we venture over to Piccolino restaurant in Hull on Kingswood. My partner was celebrating having good news in the week so as a treat I decided to take her out for a lovely meal. We had been here before and we enjoyed it last time. but this evening we enjoyed it even more. The food was out of this world. It was well cooked and tasted absolutely amazing to top it off the waitress,. Megan was also helpful polite and very professional. I wouldn’t hesitate, not recommending this wonderful restaurant to anybody. Looking forward to returning again in the near future five stars all round.

Good food but two much of the price

So from start to finish the evening was lovley.... Staff are very good and on the ball all night.... Was for my birthday but have been in the past and the service was just as good for sure... Nice food nice people nice wine great atmosphere for all ages.... I will be back again for sure

Cannot speak too highly of this Italian restaraunt! Superb food, freshly prepared with plenty of delcious choices. The staff were very attentive and helpful. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming and lively. I was there for a 81st birthday and thoroughly enjoyed the three hours we spent. The management were also keen to make sure we all had a comfortable with a high standard of cuisine. Many thanks to all the stall.

Came here for Valentine's celebration albeit a day later . Excellent service from the moment we entered the restaurant . Very pleasant surroundings, relaxing music, the waitresses were very well trained and the food was fresh and tasty. Everything came in time without any delays and we had an enjoyable evening. The only thing I found a little off putting is the service charge as I believe that should be a personal choice.

Me and my husband love coming here, always a nice meal and lovely atmosphere. The food is always delicious. The photos show the duck and steak.

This place was clean friendly very accommodating and staff where exceptional however the star rating for me was low due to the food. it was valentines night and me and my hubby had a meal. To start the choice wasn't great pasta and fish seemed to be the primary focus and not many red meat pastas no pomodora pasta which I find strange in an Italian restaurant, so we opted for steak we both got ribeye steak and chips with a tiny portion of peppercorn sauce that is it about 12 chips no side salad no garnish nothing at £25 a steak I found astounding.the steak was awful tough as shoe leather and mainly fat and not soft succulent fat like a ribeye should have it also tasted awful. They asked if we wanted greens with it so hubby said yes not realising it was a further £4.50 and side salad garnish was also extra £4.50 . I have had better steak from asda for £2.75 tbh and wouldn't order again. For the price it was very basic not sure what pasta was like but if the steak is anything to go by then I don't fancy it. However staff where very nice and the conservatory that we sat In was lovley. But tbh I'd rather try somewhere else and I fear it will prob end the same as gino,s did which is sad because I live right near it and its an ideal location for me.

we visited Piccolo Kingswood for the first time last night. we were delighted with our experience there, the restaurant atmosphere was fantastic; very warm and lively. the food was well presented and delicious and the service was outstanding. we were served by extremely friendly staff who went the extra mile to ensure that we had a great experience. they even sang me happy birthday! we will definitely be back.

Our third visit, great food, great service, great atmosphere, catered exceptionally well for allergies. James was super discussing the choices on the menu and making our girls feel comfortable with their choices with reference to their allergies. Would definitely come back here.

Very nice tea out with the grandchildren - server made sure we received the food exactly the way we'd asked for it. Lovely atmosphere and a couple of 'happy birthdays' in the restaurant too. Good value for meal and drinks ....oh, and the vanilla ice cream was a big hit !

My friend and I were served by Megan who couldn’t do enough for us, really bubbly, friendly girl. Due to dietary requirements I asked to swop chips for potatoes with my steak and she said she would sort it which she did. Didn’t have to wait to be served as so many staff around and it was a very busy Thursday evening. The 50% off food offer was fab and hope this will take place in the future. Will definitely return!

We went for dinner here following my daughters graduation. The restaurant was lovely with plenty of atmosphere, the staff were all very pleasant with the food arriving in no time. We all enjoyed the food and my daughter was given a complimentary glass of prosecco. Even better, we were able to take advantage of the 50% off food offer in January. We had a lovely time and would definitely recommend.

We visited on New Years Eve and it was such a vibrant atmosphere and absolutely packed. We chose the special set menu and it was excellent value for money and as always, the food was amazing. The service from Megan was first class and nothing...
