Friendly staff, delicious food, swift service

We are regular customers at Pho in Lincoln. Never had any issues. Food is always great and the staff are very friendly, kind and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Love this place and the spicy curry is divine

Excellent food and a lovely atmosphere. These are the areas of exceptional quality here. Well worth a visit and it is suitable for a wide range of tastes.

Great food. Our second visit. Last time we enjoyed the food but objected to the service charge which seems to be appearing in many places. Good service should be the norm and tips decided by the customer. Having said that, it seems pho has adjusted the option on tipping and I must say the food is exceptional, love the spring rolls. The staff are great too, as always, where ever we visit in lincoln and we always leave a tip! I took the family, they loved it.

I had lunch as Pho today after having lived in Lincoln for the past 9 months and instantly regretted not trying out this place sooner. I ordered the spicy chicken curry with broken rice and I was pleasantly surprised! Nothing “spicy” I’ve ordered ever since I moved to the UK has been actually spicy, but this curry really hit the spot. It was a beautiful blend of flavours and made me wish I would have ordered a few more items, but I was too full after that. Definitely giving the pho a shot the next time I visit!

Absolutely fab place! Excellent food as always and great service (Ella our waitress this visit was super). The menu is great and we are always spoiled for choice but being creatures of habit we always have the Beef Betel, Seafood Spring Roll and House Pho ( Although hubby branched out and had the Beef Combo this time) all cooked and presented with fresh salad and herbs and super portions, it really was delicious. Atmosphere is always lovely and the restaurant is always clean and all staff are always friendly. Can’t recommend highly enough 👍🏼

The pho portions here are massive and really good, other dishes such as the spring rolls and prawn less crackers were a hit. Rice bowl was a bit dry but all in all an enjoyable meal. All the waitresses were lovely and brought our dog out some water and took his photo 😆. Bathrooms are a maze to get to but nice and clean.

Kim is always such an amazing host! She always welcomes us to Pho, and because of the amazing service and food we regularly travel a 50 mile round trip to see her! Pho in Lincoln has such a friendly team of staff and we are always satisfied with efficiency of their service!

Lovely food!! We eat here all the time and can honestly say we’ve never had a bad meal. So much so that we virtually never go anywhere else when we’re in Lincoln. We always find the staff friendly and the service is always great. I tried the dragonfruit cocktail the last time we came and it was delicious! My husband always opts for a Saigon beer which goes down a treat with the classic brisket curry. Fabulous! A firm favourite, would recommend as it’s also good value for money! Love Pho 🍜 👌🏼

An exceptional curry! First visit having passed the restaurant many times. Very good menu with plenty of options(98% gluten free). Good service and pleasant surroundings. Would highly recommend when in Lincoln and we will return!

Been to Pho a few times in Lincoln in the Cornhill Quarter - every time it’s great. Service is always super friendly and attentive and the food is fresh, vibrant and tasty. Prawn Summer rolls with the dipping sauce are superb and the Chicken salad was one of the best salads I’ve ever had - tons of chicken, all the veggies and the sauce was epic. I’ve also had the 3 meat bowl which is big (they will happily do in a takeout bowl if you can’t finish in one) and love you can have it with cauliflower rice instead of normal white rice. They also do a fresh lemongrass and ginger tea which is amazing for the soul as fresh ginger and fresh lemongrass. Chilled vibe as well and fairly priced gin and tonics if you’re so inclined. Highly recommend :)

First time visiting Pho or any Vietnamese style restaurant, but came on a friends recommendation and liked the look of the menu online. Staff were friendly, chatty and polite, but the service was a bit slow for a quiet Tuesday evening. We ordered Prawn Crackers to nibble on (same as you would get in any good Chinese take away, but one or two had grease stuck to them), Vegetable Spring Rolls and Pork & Lemongrass Meatballs as starters (both excellent, the Satay Dip was fantastic, but again, a few of the spring rolls dripped grease) and two Noodle Soups (Brisket and Trio of Beef) and the Spicy Beef Curry as Mains. The curry looked, smelled and tasted fantastic, and the Noodle bowls both had what I assume was an authentic nature, presentation and taste to them - but they were a little underwhelming - I get the idea is to add your own herbs etc to the bowl, but a plate of Coriander, Mint and a few Beansprouts didn't really add to the flavour. Overall, we'll definitely be back, as there's plenty on the menu to choose from, and it's not overly priced, and I think on a second time around, we'll be a bit more clued up on what to order

If I could give 0 stars I would, I'm a chef and have been raised by two well known chefs in the industry, this place was absolutely disgusting, I had confirmed scum in my pho and the waiter did nothing. I contacted customer service and they told me I was mistaken. I am a chef. The wait times were ridiculous to a point where I had to GIVE them the plates and their excuse it was half term. The restaurant was not even half full!! The scum was disgusting and not oil or the steak. My family also had the same thing and confirmed it. The noodles were rubbery and the pho broth was flavourless. They cannot prepare Pho and they WILL not listen to your complaints or help. They will turn on you and blame you. Please listen to the other 1 star reviews especially the service charge they sneakily add on. They don't value or listen to customers. They are just a standard pho branch capitalising on a trend. Go to house of pho instead!! They also put a insane amount of ice in the drinks to a point where it was a mountain of ice and needed to be SCRAPED OFF... I would highly avoid!!!!! *UPDATE* they also post fake reviews by staff/chefs to keep their ratings. Please be careful.

Gross experience, sticky tables and the pho tasted like water, went to the toilet and it was very dirty!! *UPDATE* tried to go again, ordered a pho and ended up waiting 50 minutes and when it came out the waitress spilled it on me, I didn't get a apology, the food tasted plain, went to the toilets and there was no toilet roll in ANY of the toilets! I got double charged for drinks!!! Be careful guys

Served by Ella today, she was lovely! I ordered the green papaya salad with a side of veg crispy rolls. It was soooo delicious, will be returning soon :)

Really lovely experience with very delicous food!! Service was quick and staff were pleasant and helpful answering all our questions. A special thankyou to our server Ella for the dessert recommendations, the waffle and ice cream was the perfect finishing touch to our meal! Would definitely recommend here to others ☺️

Brilliant food in a comphy and friendly setting.

Asked for the £14 service charge to be removed, waitress didn't remove and charged us full price. I then asked her to get us a receipt, and after I pointed out to her she didn't remove it she just shrugged and left. Waitress working 15th of June at around 6pm.

Came home visiting from Canada my son said pho was awesome food and great service he wasn’t wrong !!! I loved it so much I went back another 3 nights! Curry’s were to die for I even took my sister and brother in law who loved it also. I told everyone over the next two weeks it was great. Thank you pho and your staff 🇨🇦❤️

What can I say. First time I have had Vietnamese food, and certainly not the last. Spring roll starter amazing. Spicy curry main course even better. I was surprised how different it was to Thai food, which I love. Service from the two waitresses was first class. A big thanks from me to all the staff. Even the IPA was excellent.

Guy was our server today and he was lovely! We’d never been before so I ended up asking lots of questions but he was extremely knowledgeable, knew the menu and answered nicely. One of my favourite restaurants in lincoln. Food is always absolutely delicious, full of flavour, piping hot and presented lovely. All the staff are always super friendly and kind. The service is always speedy even when busy. I always opt for the crispy pork spring rolls and the curry noodle soup, both fab every single time. Couldn’t recommend this place more for a relaxed but comforting dining experience.

EDITED: Yes it show there is service charge now I look carefully... but when I go to other chains restaurant like Wagamama etc or even independent authentic Vietnamese restaurant they do not add service charge unless there a good reason to like outstanding customer service or really amazing quality of food. I just cannot believe its ok be adding service change for a fast food Vietnamese restaurant. --- I did not enjoy the food here so I won't be coming back ever, I had the papaya salad and bun rieu (came out warm not hot as soup should come out hot). It taste nothing like what I have growing up in a Vietnamese family. BUT what is cheeky is the service charge, it wasn't mention anywhere, usually if there is service charge it would off been brought to our awareness on the physical menu at the bottom in fine prints and online. The waitress did kindly explain it can be taken off but we have to ask for it to be taken off, we shouldn't have to ask to be op out of something that we didn't want to op in the first place. However the staff here is very friendly and polite... interior here is beautiful but not enough to want to come back.

This was our first visit and from walking through the door we were blown away by the welcome, care & knowledge of the staff. The food was amazing, I had the 3 meat rice bowl - yum! Will definitely come again…well done to the staff! 🤩

I think I spent more time chatting before ordering, than waiting for the order itself. Literally the fastest service I’ve ever received, food was delicious and staff were very polite. Can’t fault it :)

This is the third Pho we've been to, we always have great food whenever we visit. Lincoln was no different to other locations. They catered for our large group really well.

I remember going to this restaurant a year ago (December 2022), but it was very crowded. After waiting for a long time, a waiter told me that I would have to wait for more than an hour, and his attitude was not very friendly, so I did not wait. Today (Mar 2024), there were only one or two people entering the hall. I wonder if they saw that we were Chinese and ignored us, but foreigners were quickly entertained. In addition, there are many spicy dishes on the Hu brand, but you can't go too spicy, so there are a lot less choices.

Visited on a quiet Monday, location and presentation nice enough, not many in but it was a Monday... Previously loved Vietnamese food experiences however this was very disappointing. I enjoyed the vegetable spring roll starter however having ordered the Tofu Pho for main it was a total letdown, incredibly bland and boring, very little seasoning and the addition of coriander as provided offered little to improve this. Normally a delicious blend of flavours, honestly I could do better with a stock cube. My dining partner ordered the chicken Pho and theirs was lacking in anything flavourful also. Very disappointing and would not visit or recommend I'm afraid.

Been to Pho many times since it opened a few years ago and it’s absolutely fantastic! Have never had a bad experience in this fine restaurant. The Staff are truly wonderful, and the food is phenomenal, so tasty and filling. Prices are reasonable! Couldn’t ask for a better restaurant in Lincoln! Totally recommend the crispy spring rolls with peanut butter sauce for those seeking to try this great place out!!

The meals were hot and substantial and the service was good. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable as we were new to this type of fayre.. I recommend a visit, however beware of a 12½% service charge , but to be fair they did say they would take it off the bill.

Really cosy atmosphere, great service and tasty food. I do recommend to try the baby squid or veggie spring rolls with peanut dip as a strater, absolutely delicious.

A wonderful first visit to Pho Lincoln. We haven’t tasted food so fresh and flavoursome in a restaurant for ages. Staff happy, helpful and attentive. Nothing more to say other than brilliant!

This must be the worst restaurant in Lincoln. Went to the restaurant yesterday (160324), was met at the door by a member of staff, without any greeting, no smile or welcome! She showed us to the seat, sat down and the table and seating area was filthy, it clearly hadn't been cleaned from the previous diners, thought I'd landed on a farm, was expecting a trough to come out. She put two menus on the table, no explanation or words came out of her mouth, luckily I'd lived in asia for more than 10 years, and had travelled extensively so I know what good food from this countly should be. She left us for a while, came back and took the order, first words from her mouth "are you ready to order?". Anyway, we ordered a starter to share, a couple of mains and a two drinks. She said all dishes come out when ready in the kitchen! So your starter could come out last, if you're in a big group, some could finish before others, this is not a canteen! it's supposed to be a restaurant, good job we didn't suffer their desserts, they could come out first! The diner is paying and should therefore eat in the order which they require. The kitchen think they are at liberty to serve however, they want, but take note, the customer is always the one choosing to go or not, and I can't see this place staying open much longer! Service aside, the food is NOT authentic and a total waste of time, we couldn't eat the starter, thought not to complain, given the lack of interest from the staff when we arrived, both mains, were truly not to authenticity, both my friend and I sat sipped a little clear liquid, chatted about how poor the place was over the two drinks. Once we'd finished the drinks, the food being 95% left on the table, thought we better go eat somewhere else, so we went next door to the fabulous Botanist restaurant to eat. Do yourselves a favour stay away from this place, hope they close down quickly and make way for a new establishement. Staff of this place, if you read and can understand the customer, get a grip on the staff (front of house), Kitchen staff, major improvements needed.

Went in on Sunday and had the loveliest meal, food was absolutely amazing full of flavour, and the service is top tier. Was taken care of by Kim, jade and Linh all of which provided a charismatic experience throughout. Highly recommend

We were welcomed friendly in the restaurant and guided to our booked table. It appeared not really busy (for a Friday evening). The staff was friendly and we were handed over the menu. After a short while, we could order our drinks and as we knew already what we wanted to eat, so we ordered that as well. We started with a selection of rolls, pork, squid and meatballs. And also prawn crackers. Apart from the squid, everything was served with a nice peanutbutter dip. The squid was served with a small bowl of spicy salt and the prawn cracker with a sweet/sour dip. This all tasted very nice. Only the prawn crackers were like anywhere else (I have not experienced an exception yet) in the UK, very white coloured and tasteless. Afterwards the mains were served, my veggie daughter had opted for a CRAB NOODLE SOUP, we also had ordered CHICKEN & PRAWN NOODLES, BEEF NOODLES and I had chooses BEEF BRISKET (VIETNAMESE NOODLE SOUP). It was clear the mains were prepared by a not really committed chef (and the starters had been prepared in advance). The only dish which tasted nice was the Crab Noodles, which were served in a nicely spiced stock and everything had a nice taste. The Noodle dishes however contained mainly noodles with very little taste. And my dish the Beef Brisket, existed of 95% tasteless noodles, a teaspoon of tasteless beef threads and it was served in boiled water (no stock or spices used at all). A serious disappointment. Regarding the staff, no issues until after the starter. After had been served our mains, we have not seen/heard anyone anymore. No question if the dishes tasted well or if we wanted anything additional. We had to 'call' to order a 2nd drink. After which it went silent again. After our dishes were taken off the table we chatted, ut no attention of the staff. No question if we perhaps wanted a dessert. Silence . At a sudden moment we asked for the bill, paid and went home. It had been a few years I had visited Pho Lincoln and I was not impressed at all this visit. PS Everything looked nice, no comment on that

I cannot fault a single thing, we went for the first time as a big family group and enjoyed it so much! I tried so many dishes and am just disappointed I didn't discover Pho sooner! Will definitely be coming back. Lovely atmosphere and staff. Really made our daughter's birthday a special night. Thank you.

Today 5th March was my first time to Phó, and my wife's second. She ate here 2nd March and was keen for me to try. I chose the Phó Hanoi, which is flash fried steak strips with garlic. The dish was delicious, the noodles perfectly cooked and the soup just beautiful. Some of the steak strips were not top quality, I have to say, as they needed quite a chew to get through. Only some of them. The service started off very fine - it was a quiet Tuesday lunch time - but after the meals were served, that was where it ended. No one came to check that the dishes were ok, no one came to take our dishes away, even ten minutes after finishing, and no one brought the bill. I went to the bar/counter to pay, waited there, and a member of staff came over. Like a dope I paid the 12.5% 'optional-but-already-added' service charge. I'd go back, the food was great, and I'd hope for better service next time. Bizarrely, when my wife went last Saturday, it was busy and the service was great. Maybe adult males are not the best waiters.

I think this place is brilliant, the menu is adventurous yet simple, the prices are reasonable, the food is delicious but most of all I like that it’s quiet and roomy and cosy: this place is all of these things. Talking to the waiter the other day he said they have 40 restaurants throughout the UK. It’s a great place and a hidden gem in town. You will have fun there

Had the Pho House, staff were very kind and food came quickly. The broth tasted perfect, and had a nice sheen of fat on top that really gave lots of flavour. A nice selection of drinks to choose from, I had the ‘Phojito’ which went down great! Would come again!

Went on a busy Saturday afternoon. Was advised there would be a 30 minute wait, which I didn’t mind at all because the smell when you walk in is Devine! There was no way I was gonna go somewhere else. The waitress noticed someone leave the window seat area and said hang on I’ll clear that away and you can sit there. Me and my best mate had beef bettel which tasted amazing and then we got two different rice bowls. All food is obviously cooked to order. Very fresh! Will deffo eat here again. Thank you x

The soup base is okay, but the beef balls are not chewy, the chicken tastes bad, and the rice noodles are too hard, so I don’t recommend it.

Spicy spring rolls and coconut water! Awesome!!! So full of flavor!! Wok fried noodles with chicken and prawns…hmm…lacked the flavor, a bit bland. Next times I’ll try the soup dishes may be.

Looking forward to a meal with friends. I chose the chicken and shrimp fried rice. It looked lovely but I couldn’t eat it as it had so much chilli in it. Far too much, burning my mouth and throat. I sent it back to be advised if I wanted it less spicy I could order a child’s fried rice. Not acceptable. By the time it came everyone else had finished eating! Had to request they remove the 12.5% gratuity as we were very disappointed!

Went for the hot and spicy pho with beef brisket and prawns. A really delicious bowl to eat. The level of spice was spot on, so the flavour of the broth wasn't overpowered. Will definitely be going back in the future.

Had to put 1 star to leave review - this is purely on the service as never got to eat the food! Booked table for 13:30, order took 15mins after arriving and then after another 20mins we were approached by another member of staff to be asked why we were sat there as order hadn’t been put in!!! Left feeling hungry, angry and frustrated

Amazing place just love everything in menu! Delicious curry, pho house, noodles. We are trying 4 different starters - all tasty but spring rolls must try !!! Very good! I think prices look a bit low compared with similar restaurants.
