Pho in Birmingham

The food was incredible and Akhi was an incredible waitress! Very very attentive and was happy to accommodate my friend who doesn’t like spicy food. Thank you so much!

I was a customer for over 5 years. I was coming to Pho regularly, however over time the quality of the food, drinks and service gradually declined. Today I was eating at Pho for the last time as I was disappointed with what I received. Food was quite average however when it comes to drinks I was shocked. I have ordered as always Vietnamese Coffee with condensed milk, however it was so weak, and half empty! It lasted three sips! For this price it’s a rip off! Never again!

Absolutely FANTASTIC place! We were served promptly despite it being quite busy. The atmosphere was awesome and friendly, and our server was super nice- we ordered garlic steak pho and chicken wings as well as brisket pho and a seafood spring roll, and it was brought to our table quickly and with a smile. The food was phenomenal, I’d 100% recommend it to everyone! :3

Useless service. They weren't even busy but made us wait so long to be seated and then have our order taken that we just ended up leaving. This has happened several times at this branch.

Went there for my birthday, which I was very happy with the day of as I really enjoyed my meal and the portions for the price were great too, but since then i’ve been in excruciating pain after dealing with food poisoning for almost the past week now. Very upset and disappointed as I was excited to go back at some point ☹️

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with a recent experience at your restaurant. Firstly, the pho quality was quite average and did not meet the expectations I had for your establishment. The dishes lacked flavor and seemed hastily prepared. Secondly, the service I received was highly disappointing. The staff appeared indifferent and unresponsive. For instance, I requested water twice, yet my requests were either forgotten or ignored. Additionally, at no point did the staff proactively check if I needed assistance, which left me feeling undervalued as a customer. Finally, I was surprised to find that a 12.5% service charge had been added to the bill without any prior notice. While I am more than willing to pay for good service, this unexpected charge—especially after such a disappointing experience—was deeply frustrating and felt unfair.

Very fast service, and the food is always good with a huge selection for those of us who are gluten-free. Helen was a lovely server and very thorough and detail-oriented.

Visited PHO in October for a pre concert meal. Served by Stefan who was brilliant and was able to recommend something non spicy for me. Definitely worth a visit and I would definitely go again. Food and atmosphere was great!

Had a lovely meal before catching a train to the NEC for a concert. Terrific flavours, brilliant service and speedy meal. Thanks Hoa who was checking, attentive and knowledgable. We now know how to eat a Vietnamese pancake!

Good food and service. Not very busy day.

This is a busy Vietnamese place in the food court of grand central. On the weekends you’ll find it very busy. Firstly, the food is tasty; good options for noodle soups, rice and noodles. Vermicelli noodles only at room temperature, which put me off. Other noodles are all “flat noodles.” Spicy food is certainly spicy. There are good options for kids (noodles, rice, nuggets). However, the rice option was not nice to eat. Spring rolls were delicious. Secondly, service was not great. Granted it was very busy so may be better when less busy. But had to ask repeatedly for various things. Big spoons given for little children. Not particularly friendly either. Thirdly, food came out quick and it was a great place for a quick meal.

The beef brisket noodle soup always hits the spot. I’d highly recommend the dish. It’s warm, filling and worth the price. It’s slightly hard getting staff’s attention - they notice eventually. If you’re considering going to Pho, just go!

I really like their restaurant, but it was very crowded on Saturday. Service is literally zero. Can all service staff wear uniform clothes? All the waiters are wearing their own casual clothes, you can't tell who is the waiter and who is the customer. The order in the store is zero. You can't find anyone to order. No one will give you water. Even if you order water, you have to push several times to get it. At the end of the check, you still have to pay a service fee. Although the machine says that you can find a waiter to get rid of the service fee, the funny thing is that you can’t find the waiter at all.

The food was great. The portion sizes here are more than the Pho in Nottingham (sorry, not sorry). Very fast service and the food was banging! There is a person on shift that reminds me of Frank ocean. He was very friendly and bubbly all he did was serve us the food but form our interaction with him we can tell he’s a great worker. The lady who sat us down and the lady who took our orders are also very warm and welcoming. Great lighting, great music overall a fantastic experience. I would highlight recommend!

I came in for a birthday lunch with my mom a little while back. The food was lovely and so many gluten free options. Stephan looked after us and was great! Listened to what kind of thing we were looking for and gave great recommendations based on this. Really friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back!

I wish I could give you no star at all. The food is terrible and you claim to be Vietnamese food? Don’t call yourself a Vietnamese restaurant if you couldn’t even cook the dish right. The soup was tasteless, there’s no seasoning, not a single familiar flavor I can find in your soup. Took my friend here thinking we could enjoy the food of my country, not necessarily to be exactly the same but at least it should be 70% similar but NO. It is terrible, totally embarrassing! I had the noodle soup once, it is terrible and i though to give it a chance with the Vermicelli Noodles and pork balls. The pork balls was seasoned disgustingly. The sauce was disappointing. It was soo bland and tasteless that I think you have mixed it with tap water or something. The bowl is hideous. There’s more vegs in my bowl than in The Birmingham Botanical Gardens.

Very filling and large portions! We were seated quickly but waiting approx 15 mins to order our food, however, that wasn’t really a problem. Food was piping hot, fresh and tasty. Will be back regularly. I especially enjoyed the spicy pho broth!
