I think I just had the best sausage roll ever. I don't think I could ever have another sausage roll again. Washed it down with a filled pastry. Amazing treats. Thank you for the wonderful experience

My friend and I had a normal and vegan hot chocolate, and oh my they did not disappoint. This was quite frankly the best hot chocolate ever, super rich and creamy. The sweet treats were super tasty too and a great selection

On a wet and cold February day, we stumbled across Pettigrew bakery tucked inside the arcade, that was our good fortune. The cakes and pastry’s looked amazing and it was difficult to not ask for one of everything. We had an amazing chicken and Parmesan sandwich, the bread was so good and the filling was perfectly balanced, and the sausage rolls looked amazing so we also had one, the accompanying apple chutney was perfect and you won’t get a better sausage roll anywhere. As it was cold we also had 2 hot chocolates, they were really comforting, rich and very moreish. It’s a really nice little bakery that’s definitely worth seeking out if you are in Cardiff.

Le cinnamon bun est excellent. L'accueil est très agréable. Bon, en effet, c'est un peu cher mais on s'est fait plaisir à l'abris de la pluie.

Perfect little bakery, I've been missing the variety of breads since moving to Cardiff from London but this little bakery is perfect. Wish they had come sides.

The best cinnamon buns ever and brownies to die for. Very expensive though, but worth It for the occasional treat. Baked goods quite good.

The food that they serve is delicious but the problem is that the prices are mostly invisible both in the shop and at the Farmer's Market. As such, you end up in a situation where you are charged £4.95 for a ham and cheese roll. Obviously to avoid embarrassment, you tap your card and go on your way but the prices should be clearly marked in order to allow you to make up your mind beforehand.

I went to pick up a too good to go order and the staff there totally messed up the order. One (red head lady with a cap on) was especially rude making out I was a liar with goods they had provided. Won’t be purchasing items from here again. My advice would be to avoid and go somewhere that knows how to serve customers properly.

Every weekend I drive past this place there’s always a long queue outside. So I thought I would give it a try and see what all the craze is about. I was queuing for over 30 minutes and when I got to the door I found that they were nearly out of everything and to top it off they said they don’t accept cash. It shocked me that, knowing they are aware that every weekend they have a big queue outside, they don’t have the consideration for their customers to put a board outside and update it with a list items which they have run out of and also make it clear to the people in the queue that it’s card payment only.

I’ve had a selection of baked goods from here and not been disappointed with any of them! Best cinnamon bun I’ve ever eaten. Brownies, sourdough and focaccia are awesome too! Good selection of cheese as well (especially recommend the Teifi Halloumi!).

I have had brownies from the store, or stalls at markets, and I am never disappointed. They are the best brownies ever, my favourite is the salted caramel brownie. The staff are always friendly and their sausage rolls are really good too.

Visited pettigrew bakeries in the past, and recently had orders delivered whilst in lockdown. The food has always been amazing and very fresh. Bread, cinnamon rolls, sausage rolls, veg bag and fruit bag were all fresh and delicious each time we’ve ordered (sausage rolls are very filling too!)! The sweeter bits are amazing - we can’t stop buying the salted caramel brownies (please try them!). We also recently tried the Viennese swirl and it was delicious. The staff have always been lovely too. Definitely visit - you won’t be disappointed with any of your purchases!

We travel here for the welsh cakes but always come out with so much more. Both myself and my husband ordered 60 Welsh cakes (30 each) for our work colleagues for St.Davids Day. Although the extra 30 (for my colleagues) was added the day before - they did not disappoint and everyone was so happy with them as they were delicious. The bread is also lovely and the staff are always helpful.

Popped in as been meaning to visit for a while. 3 sausage rolls, a pasty (beef was a bit weird) and two brownies cam eto 17 quid which was steep. Sausage rolls were very good though and the brownies made my boys feel ill by the end which is always a sign that they were good. Thought it was a bit steep to add extra price on for heating them up but I am tight. Will definitely go back though as bread and cakes and entire selection was really quite impressive.

Being only down the road from this bakery, I’m surprised to have never noticed it. Having visited today, I shall definitely be returning! Everything was 100% made the same day(having been a chef, I know!). Sausage rolls, cinnamon rolls, Bombay bombs and spinach and ricotta bake were all delicious. The lady serving us was smiley, easy going and fantastic at her job. Very impressed all around, thank you!

We have been here on several occasions and the standard has always been excellent. The croissants e.g. pain au chocolat are buttery and flaky. The sourdough bread is brilliant and the savouries e.g. sausage rolls taste traditional/authentic and 'old fashioned'. Everything is always so fresh.

Great range of baked goods, tastes amazing, and large portion sizes. Also, super cheap. They also have a stand at the Sunday market in the City Centre (close to Principality Stadium), which has a large selection from their bakery.

Pop in here for a snack to take over the park with the kids. The sandwiches are from the counter or custom made while you wait. And the sandwiches are fantastic . What really grabs me tho are the cakes mmmmm I’m dribbling thinking of the big slabs of moist brownies. The custard Oozing from between the pastry in a slice, the sweet smell of cinnamon an Chelsea buns. Is a-bit niche but if that’s what you like and lots of us do it’s very yummy indeed I will return

I suppose if you advertise your bakery as being trendy and with unusual items then you might not attract customers who do not fit this description. However, I thought I would try some products as I was famished and the nearby café was completely full. What hit me as I stood looking at what was on offer were the prices : I'm a pensioner not a millionaire. I eventually gave in and purchased a few items. I wish I hadn't. The large meat pasty was a disgrace. It was by no means a pasty. The same for the sweet items. No thanks.

Booked the venue for 3pm and arrived 5 minutes prior to, short wait to be seated, no issues. Drinks order was taken pretty much straight away and we were then asked 3 times in 5 minutes by 3 different servers. Food ordered, arrived as per standard Mowgli experience - no pattern, just when the food was ready. Lamb chops @ £13.95 were poor. Overcooked, fatty and cold. Not great. Cheese toast arrived cold. Agra chicken and sticky chicken both excellent. No offer from the waitress over additional drinks. One drink was served and that is all we were getting. Plates were being taken whilst we were eating, they couldn’t wait to clear the table for the next guests. Bill came, two options: 1. With service charge 2: without service charge added. Advised that we would like option 2 as the service was poor. Paid the bill, no thank you at the end which is most disappointing. Not even offered to have our ‘loyalty card’ stamped. We were in and out within 60 minutes. All told and with a balanced view 3 out of 5 and in no hurry to return.

My favourite place to eat! Deliciously authentic veg Indian food, service and atmosphere, I seek Maruti's out every time I'm passing through Cardiff. Highly recommend a thali or dosa, and the Dal Kachouri are the best I've ever tasted
