I have visited here quite a few times since it's opened. It's hard to get in here the majority of the time because it's so busy, which is obviously a good sign. Granted it's small, but they use their limited amount of space well. It's a nice place for a coffee and cake, but the beer selection is impressive. Paulaner on draught and a good variety of bottled beers. Dog friendly and child friendly which is appreciated by many people also. We live a train stop away but it's worth it because it's a decent laid back place for a coffee or a beer with a nice ambiance, and the owners seem like good people. Looking forward to them opening their next cafe bar where the old jaxons was.

Really sorry about this but I’m a bit upset about this place.firstly it’s a great little bar really friendly people ,no scallies.the drinks are reasonably priced and a good choice.now the bit that upset me a bit ,went in with family for drinks and couldn’t believe the size of two big Alsatian dogs standing there ,now I must admit I’m not a dog lover and plenty of people are I accept.but these two things were shaking hairs all over the place and you could definitely smell them .please petrichor stop letting dogs in ,little dogs on the benches big dogs slobbering all over the floor ,sorry but this really put me off ,sorry if I upset anyone but I like to socialise without the dog hairs and smell, once again sorry.

Only our 4th visit but Petrichor is a fabulous hub of All Welcome. Such a variety of customers but great atmosphere. Will have to visit for the live music on Thursday evenings or Sunday afternoon ... if there is room as such a popular venue. Beers are amazing and served in chilled pint glasses!!

My wife and I have been coming here for a few months now, we love it! Nice chilled atmosphere, nice staff and friendly customers. There’s usually a 4 legged friend for us to fuss over too! Given the timing that it opened, I didn’t think it would survive but I’m so glad it has. Long may it continue! 👍

First visit to Petrichor today. Would have loved to have visited sooner but due to restrictions, not possible. Very warm and welcoming staff, great selection of drinks, will certainly revisit soon. This little place is going to be a great community hub in Aintree.

Small but very friendly business. Especially pet owners are welcome with their animal friends. Owner of this shop is always happy to see you and greet you with her biggest smile. Nice selection of Polish bread and cakes and very good coffee. Shop offer cold and hot snacks and best donuts in town. Shop is by the busy crossing but there is plenty space to park, right by the shop. Polish bread, especially Sourdough, already stole many hearts of local people .

We visited Hoghton Street Social on Saturday with friends whilst in Southport for Farmageddon. There were 6 of us booked in for a first time visit for Tapas and it was absolutely delicious. Plenty to choose from, good prices and really well cooked. The cocktails were excellent and reasonably priced and the service was excellent from very friendly staff. Thank you for a lovely afternoon
