Have large cod and chips every week usually great value and good portions but last few weeks the batter has changed it used to be lovely and soft and thin even my fussy husband would eat it we recommended this meal to all our friends now batter is thick /hard/overcooked spoils meal gone from 9/10 to 5/10 please give our old batter recipe back please

Love half price kebab night on a Wednesday evening, lovely food 😋

Took 5 mins to take my order despite of only 1 person in front of me with no apology for the wait. 3 young staff working the counter who appeared to not know what they were doing. After 10 mins my order was done but placed under the heat lights. 5 mins later they gave me the order and then tried to put in a kebab ordered by another customer after me. Food was not hot. Chips under cooked and fish was dry.

25 minutes wait for a larg chips and mushy peas and the chips tasted like cardboard I Don’t recommend

Very large portion, fries ok, but for me the fish was tasteless and not seasoned

Waited 30 mins for fishcake chips and sausage fishcake cold and dried up crunchy chips not enough to feed a mouse service slow not very good will not go again 1st and last visit

Top nosh. Probably the best fish and chips I've had in a long time. Cleanly cooked (fresh oil in the frier makes a difference) Thursdays turned out to be half price for fish and chips. Nice.

Cracking chippy, food was fresh and tasted great. Online orders & card payments taken so really handy if you don't have cash! Chips was really tasty & not greasy. Defo will be doing back.

absolute joke! ordered food to collect 8.10pm! arrived 8.30pm ! to be told they haven't started the order and they wait for people to collect before they start the order. in other words don't bother ordering online n just go to shop as it makes no difference n they have you standing around like an idiot wasting time you don't have .... what an absokute joke the place has gone seriously down hill

Well it was my first ever time I went to this Establishment yesterday Monday 1st April. 24. Food was really nice and hot chips were hot also though you do get loads in a portion of Chips. But all in all I will be back. So 5 Stars for now

Freshly cooked fish, chips and pie, done to perfection, for us. Took one of their deals with extras and saved a fair bit, so more than happy. Food was hot and very tasty. Definitely use again. Thank you.

Been twice first time the food was very good, second time the food was shocking ,chips were cold and just little bits of chips . The kebab meat was so hard and dry it want in the bin ! Don't think I'll try again.

Probably the worst experience ever. Took had an hour to be served. Watched the server put my food together and had to ask her to actually fill the box as it was half full. Got home to eat it and I can confirm it was the scraps. Never again. Absolute shambles. Kids run this shop.

Ordered on app and service was horid they say it will be ready at half past and it was like 20 minutes later than they estimated.

Our large fish was cooked to order on a lunchtime when we opened it up it was still pink chips was just warm.

Just had fish and chips. Not at its usual standard. Fish better is oily and not crispy at all chips were too dry. Looks like the owner has change hands. Very disappointed

I ordered a mixed meat and chips, the meat came out the back in a tupperware box, they took it out and reheated it.

Most ignorant staff I've ever seen. Closing times, collection times, pretty much everything is way too complicated for them to be bothered with!

Not worth ordering on the app and being given a pick up time as the food is never ready. Waited last time and it will be the last time for 35mins for my online order to be prepared. Not good enough 😕

Prices have gone through the roof since my last visit. 5.80 for small chips a bit of roe and small mushy peas. Sorry but I fail to see how such a prices can be justified for such basic products. It's a chippy not Michelin star restaurant. Wont use again

Always a warm welcome and serving high quality, freshly cooked food. Look out for special offer days where you can grab a bargain. ½ price fish and chips on a Friday is a winner! It’s a bit of a trek from us, but we’ll worth it and the good food keeps us coming back. 😀

I have been using these for several years but have started to get very disappointed in their food especially the chips which when we get them home and we are only 5 mins away from the chippy they are cold

Food was booked for 6:00 pm. Didn’t get it till 10 past whilst watching people come in, order at the counter and served straight away. NEVER had this problem at Pete’s in Nuneaton.

Great Fish and Chips, and the only place I found Cockles available. Staff friendly, portions are large. All in all good value.

A very expensive chip shop £2.90 for this normal tray of chips it was over £4 for a large They had the most expensive battered sausages I've seen in a chip shop yet at £2.20 each and that's just regular size

This is brilliant for those with allergies and possibly even veg or vegan. They cook their chips in the non-fish pan which means even I can have chips from the chippy 😁🥳 Its is also a clean place and their food tastes good (what we have tried so far, even my daughter who did not like fish actually gave it a 10/10). Worth trying 😉

Had a doner kebab in a pitta with salad from here.Was good quality but it contained 20% meat and 80% salad was massively overpriced and not good value for money.Will not be visiting again.

Medium fish and chips is a rip off! TIME TO SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN! Nuneaton & Bedworth premises - service quick took money first and waited for about 2 mins, got order and left and to return home to about 10 chips and a mini thin fish with thick greasy batter, this place is a rip-off the bad reviews are just that I`m afraid. It was just a very thin piece of cod with thick batter to make it look bigger served in a tray now, where before it was decent portions - bag of chips with the fish on top, in order to maintain LOW volume of chips CONSISTENTLY ie. scam, it was tasteless very thin and disappointing. £5.99 for this, wont hurry to go back there ever again. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!

Bought from here once and somehow they got my phone number and text me constantly. Tried blocking the number but still comes through. Annoying! Will never order from here again.

Used Pete's chippy tonight, wasn't impressed, the fish hardly had any fish in it and what there was of it was very dry. It was mostly all thick batter and that was very dry too. Not the best fish i've ever had.
