Peter's Chippie in East Renfrewshire

Ordered a couple of suppers last night. One came packed with chips. The other had literally 8 chips. Bloody joke. Food was nice enough though, credit where its due

Shocking service! Placed order at 19:50, notified at 20:20 that the order was on it way, still hadn’t been received at 20:50 so called the store, advised that it still hadn’t been sent and would be with us within 30 mins, the just eat app was updated at 21:10 to say it had been delivered but didn’t receive until 21:35. When I phoned the store for an update at 21:25 the staff member was extremely rude, not apologetic whatsoever. The food was freezing when it did eventually arrive. Definitely avoid.

Bought a double fish supper, spent most of my time picking small bones from it until I finally gave up and bined it.

Overpriced very very greasy fish and soggy chips ate them because we were hungry but won't be back

The food is always good, but the staff are pretty rude and have a ‘who do you think you are’ attitude if you ask about why it’s taking so long. Definitely no customer service training lol. Regardless of how far ahead you call you are always going to be waiting 20 mins after arrival.

waited more than 2 hours for order. phoned n told it had just left. still waiting 20 minutes later

good was of pretty bad quality tonight. fish is normally gorgeous. really poor experience. hopefully be better when we are back.

For the first time ever food wasnt nice andvpeters is my favourite chippy,the food was cold tried eating it but couldnt,it wont put me of will be ordering from peters again as its usually 5 star

Ordered at 6pm, told it would be delivered between 7 or 7.30 pm Eventually arrived at 8.20pm. That is not a good enough service.

Great food and a wee bonus it got with us early. Pretty good for a Saturday night. Definitely be ordering from them again.

Lovely fish n chips always, order regular, if anything i would say to add some more chips to portion!

My Hubby's Childhood Chippie still providing these best fish suppers in the area. Fantastic choices on a huge menu and amazing deals for Families which tells me they value their customers and care about the Community.

The quality of food.was great however chips cold due to driver just leaving food on cold doorstep and not attempting to knock door or ring bell as witnessed on ring doorbell app. she put delivery on doorstep and then it looked like she took picture of food, then left with no attempt to contact us.

Cash only! Best chippie around here. Way cheaper than Catch or Hook or Mario's with bigger portions. It's a fish and chip shop, but Google doesn't offer that as an option on food i bought! 🤣

Chips tasted of cardboard and pizza was disgusting cheese was all stuck to the box and chicken was chewy, pizza base was soggy and chew, ordered from here before but this was a complete waste of money.

Didn’t receive the chips for the half pizza supper. Food was nice though.

Ordered at 8pm food was out for over 45 mins delivery n obviously came freezing cold. Not the first issue I’ve had now. Last order was a cheese and mushroom pizza and it came with pepperoni on. I order frequently from this place ( always vegetarian) and recently the standards have slipped, there’s always other chippies but this place isn’t good anymore unfortunately

Guy is on the phone demanding a fight off a woman with autistic kids because he couldn’t get a order straight guys offering to fight woman is disgusting

love Peter's. always fresh . chicken always crispy. collection is fast, and staff are lovely

food is always good,never have any problems. don’t usually write review but i ordered 2 items and only received one so phoned up about it and the woman on the phone was basically trying to say i was lying by saying things like “ we have cameras” while i could literally hear someone in the back ground saying that my other item was sitting on the counter and i also have cameras at my front door that you can actually see how empty the bag was. they ended up sending out another fresh one anyways.

Food is always good quality but they don’t always read order notes. I’d maybe call the restaurant if you want something specific

said it laft shop for correct delivery time had to call shop after 30 minutes shop was rude when I called said it was just eats fault. food turned up more than 40 minutes after delivery time.

I usually order from here but decided to walk and the staff were lovely I always order from peters chippy the best chippy ever I even clicked a wrong item and they changed it there and then for me and made the total up with rest of stuff

Waited two hours, app showed as delivered when it wasn’t. Very poor service. Called shop who advised they were busy, I told them I’d waited two hours to be told repeatedly they were busy. At time of review I’m still waiting on delivery. It’s now 8.05pm. Will not be using either just eat or Peters Chippy again. Will not be recommending. Food will now go in bin as we had to cook something else due to time.

order was ordered at 14.40 arrived at 16.35 came absolutely freezing ordered red cola with it instead of red cola they sent just cola. called the first time to see where order was first lady was lovely called 30 mins later when food still wasn't hear and second woman was so argumentative won't be ordering again after that. when food is late and ave already called and had to call a further 30mins after as still wasn't hear to have someone be argumentative to a customer isn't Right

Literally just had chips delivered with sour tasting clearly off cheese on top.

Ordered off uber eats before the cut off time to receive an update that it was on its way then another to say it has arrived, nothing for 20 minutes after receiving the update so I tried to phone and there was no answer, lost money now and as much as I enjoyed their food that is bang out!

Pakora wasn’t great, delivery took ages. Food okay, but won’t be ordering again.

I went in and ordered 2 meals which came to £25 thought that was a bit strange so so i asked the young girl serving me to confirm what i had ordered before she could even speak the older dour faced woman screamed "thats just how much it cost" at me. I would justify that had i been rude, however i asked quietly and politely so???????? Genuinely no need for that, i already suffer from anxiety that was extremely uncalled for, also the food ended up making me seriously ill the next day so i guess the attitude of the staff reflects the taste of the food. No surprised considering that the older woman was bossing the younger girl around the whole time she was making the food and being rude to her as-well. Kind of unsettling to watch. Also got laughed at when i asked how fritters they had left, not really sure why... Id genuinely avoid this place at all costs, go to john's round the corner, much better food and staff.

Chicken Burger ordered with salad, chilli sauce, vinegar on chips. I recieved a dry chicken burger no salad no sauce, dry chips no vinegar. Called the shop and was told if want salad to order earlier pretty much tough was the attitude. Not great way to talk to customers when made a mistake with your order.

asked for a mine pie supper and they sent a deep freid Scotch pie which I hate

£13.75 for a hamburger supper and a king rib supper!. Food isn't that good to charge those sort of prices. Won't be back.

Great staff, food was really good, but fish was bit greasy. Place is always busy and staff are always a hoot.

Not a problem being early. However I asked for salt & vinegar on the supper, but the chips were plain. Also asked for the hot chilli sauce on the burger, but that was also plain. Shame.

I've enjoyed many great meals from Peter's Chippie, but tonight's was poor. The batter on chicken pakora was overcooked and came without pakora sauce. Sadly, I couldn't eat my pakora
