Terrible Experience – Pepes is a Complete Disaster I had an awful experience with Pepes on Saturday, 23rd November 2024. I placed an order at 8:00 PM, and it was nothing short of a circus. Half of my food arrived, but the rest didn’t come until 9:30 PM – nearly an hour and a half later – after they completely failed to send it out the first time. The staff had no idea what they were doing. Every time I called, I spoke to a different person who gave me conflicting information. Some claimed the food had already been sent out, while others said it hadn’t. It felt like no one was in charge, and no one cared enough to resolve the issue. On top of that, they kept calling me, saying a driver was there, then wasn’t, and back and forth like that multiple times. When I finally spoke to the drivers, it turned out they were there, but Pepes just couldn’t get their act together. To make matters worse, when I finally managed to speak to the manager, they were incredibly rude, made an offensive remark, and then hung up on me. The level of unprofessionalism was shocking. Pepes wasted my evening with their poor service, lack of communication, and complete incompetence. I will never order from them again, and I strongly recommend avoiding this place.

My order never got delivered. Where is my delivery?? the app is stating the food has been delivered I phoned the restaurant up and they have said it’s not their driver. It’s a Just Eat driver. It never got delivered to my house. Whereabouts is my food?

This wasn’t expected from pepes tasty was not good missing item

I am a regular customer and placed an order. There was a glitch with the just eat app. I am disabled and live with my 10 year old boy. I cannot travel on my own and house bound. I called the restuarant and asked where my order was. I was told they couldn’t deliver and that I contact just eat to arrange delivery. The restaurant took the full amount of some £26 and stated that I had collected my food when this was not the case. Just eat said they could not refund. I would not order from this restaurant.

People working there are all immature and conservative. They don,t know how to behave the Uber Rider or Deliveroo Rider. They are narrow minded and inexperienced people.

I’ve Had the extra hot rice box a couple of times now and all I can say is it comes in a surprisingly filling portion. Perfect most of the time, just rarely a bit off. Other than I would totally recommend it. 👏🏼

I have ordered just one chicken burrito here and it comes with full of rice, and very few chicken and beans. Worst burrito I have ever had. Obviously chef doesn’t know how to make one. Very bad taste.

This is one of the best food i have tried from a fast food chain… they have grilled chicken which takes really amazing. Instead of deep fried in oils, this is a better option for anyone who cares for healthy options. Food tastes really good and you get a good quantity of items on a reasonable price. Enjoy your meals. Terrible service. The staff is too slow. It took them 35 minutes to give me an order placed on Uber for a customer, and they weren't even busy. Cannot handle pressure or anything, they need to be fired and need to hire better staff. Slow and incompetent, time wasting non-english speaking idiots.

Ordered a home delivery yesterday, the burger I had was an absolute delight! From the juicy patty to the perfectly toasted bun, every bite was bursting with flavor. The toppings were fresh and added a delightful crunch, while the cheese melted just right. It was the epitome of a satisfying meal, leaving me eagerly anticipating my next visit to indulge in another one of those delicious peri peri burgers. And hot wings were 2nd to none.

Food is ok but ridiculously expensive for the portion sizes for a takeaway. Wings were pink inside & inedible. Tried to send pic on justeat but they can’t manage this online apparently so a waste of money for that portion.

I have ordered pepes wings today and i got very pathetic food. The wings was looks like very hortible not properly cooked and some are burned too much. I paid around 7 pound for the wings and it look like only 5 bones.

Foiod was 30 mins late,cold and chicken was like rubber,got jaw ache chewing it and gave up. Don't waste your money.

Simple order, hot and lemon XL and quesadilla. The burger and quesadilla both were tasteless and had no sauce or taste. Not sure how hard it is to actually put the hot and lemon sauce on the chicken. Disappointing

Order Number FE9E0 I ordered 2 things from Pepe's a chicken burger and a extra hot whole chicken. Both were tasteless and not spicy at all. I didn't receive any sauce, though that's a given and a complementary product. To be honest, I was shocked when opening the bag, I didn't know if I ordered from Pepe's or McDonald's? The state of that burger was unbelievable, it looked like something from the saver menu from McDonald's. The chicken on the other hand was supposed to be extra hot but was tasteless. I called up only to be denied of any help and was blamed instead. No help was given and the person on the phone was showing cleverness.

I saw one person in reviews saying it’s not halal but I’m very regular customer there and I’m sure it’s halal first because it’s franchise takeaway and all Pepe’s inside and outside UK is Halal. Second I asked them for the certificate they showed me and even showed my their suppliers list which were all Halal so please stop giving fake reviews which might falsely affect other people. Plus the food quality and service is always spot on.

But Today 1st time I get upset about my food chips was so cold my chicken wrap was so cold and not even tasty how it used to be. Also delivery man came so late. I had an excellent dining experience at Pepe's Piri on 430-432 Wilmslow Road, Withington, Manchester, M20 3BW. The food was delicious, and the service was impeccable. The restaurant maintains a nice, clean ambiance, enhancing the overall enjoyment of the meal. Highly recommend!

Went to this place last night with my family, and i would say that this is one of the best Pepe's resurants I've been to, and I've been to a few of them. The staff grated us with a smile and was very patient with my wifes order since she had few to many questions about the different options ./ It was her first visit to Pepe's/ 10 min after we made an order, the food was ready to collect. My chicken and rice combined with garlic sos tasted out of this world. It was so good that I had to go back and ask for more garlic sos and to my surprise the staff gave at to me for free. Usually, they charge for extra sos. After we finished our meals, we concluded that the chicken was tasty and succulent and will surely go back again. If it is your first time going to Pepe's, i would suggest you try the chicken and rice box with garlic sos. There is mango and lime sos to, but I personally find it too sweet for my taste. I think it comes in 5 different options- mild , medium, and hot options, and then for people that don't like hot, there is mango and lime, and lemon and herbs options.

The staff gave us chicken burrito instead of paneer burrito. My friend is vegetarian and pepes made her eat chicken. Terrible experience. Just realised Pepe's rusholme is cheaper and give Student discount. I'm adding rusholme menu, you can cross check the prices.

Ordered from here today, order was 2 hours late and food was cold. Staff also lie and say it's 10 minutes away and then take an additional 40 minutes. Won't be ordering from here ever again.

I have had pepe’s before and I have always enjoyed it. I got the chicken ricebox which was amazing until I found a hair in my food. I wasn’t that bothered as I had already eaten most of the meal but I thought I would still let the staff know so that they can do something about it. I told the lady at the till, she said she would get someone to help but then no one came. This was a bad experience compared to how pepe’s normally is.

Food was cold when received. Fries were rock solid, wrap had blue ink all over it as they wrote “no salsa” on the paper of the wrap and it went through onto my whole wrap. So I did not eat that as it was filled with blue ink all over. Chicken strips and wings were did not taste fresh and had a slight waste taste to the chicken. Very disappointed to be honest, we had high expectations…

Charge you extra, thieves Absolute rubbish service never returning to this scam takeaway. This is the second time I caught the staff over charging me by around £4.50. Same guy Indian accent wearing a silver bracelet on his left hand. I made the order and paid and as I was waiting for my food I realised the bill did not seem right so I stated going through my bill and the menu. To my astonishment I was charged £4.5 extra on a £22 order. I complained and the staff at first started making up excuses and then when I asked about the Piri Piri salt it was 30p for free salt you get in any restaurant in the world. If you charge for sprinkling salt on fries then why don’t you write on the menu or explain to the customer that Piri Piri salt is 30p. What a cheap scam. When I caught the staff on this point they started blaming the management. Ok, what about the other £3.60 you added on for side order which I did not even order? No answer a plain “sorry made a mistake”. That’s the second time in 2 weeks, definitely a cheap tactic to rip off customers and very low of this takeaway. Food was burnt because I complained and the cooking staff could hear me complaining so they deliberately spoilt my food. It was a takeaway so I threw the food in the bin. Definitely not returning to this rip off takeaway. Thieves

Awful was delivered 20 mins after ordering it came freezing cold and had an awful stale taste

Never one to complain, especially about this place, however I waited so long for my order, I ended up having to dispose of it. I kept being told the driver was stuck in traffic but was 5mins away. Then he was another 15, then 10 and so on…the food was freezing and soggy when it arrived. Me and my daughter were so disappointed. I can’t believe how bad this was, worst experience I’ve had on just eat.

I have to say the food was very good for a takeaway, I got mild spiciness and it was perfect, tasty and not too hot. When I asked a question about my meal, the staff was happy to explain. The restaurant was quite empty, but it was also early in the day. The price of my meal came to £13 and was fairly filling with the option of adding extra chicken. Normally, it's around £10. I got a chicken rice box. I'm happy with my order.

Foid quality was below average. Ordered 2 chicken burger meals including 2 xan of 7up, and fries. Food quality was well below expectations as it costed £19.99 which was overall higher than such food but below average taste. No lettuce, was in burgers and not good taste. Disappointed
