Pepe's in Aberdeen City

This is a terrible place to go eat at. Food tasted like it was uncooked, you get interrupted by other people when trying to order, poor staff and service, and inside the place looks horrible. I will never go there ever again, Stay away from this place.

It was beautiful place, great customer service, staff were so friendly and food tastes great..myself and my family loved it and definitely coming back again.

Used to go quite frequently but what is going on? Is there new staff or something? Lady could barely speak English at counter…Drivers walking about waiting for orders watching friends loudly on their phone for all to hear. Football on super loud. Felt like I was interrupting all the staff in their personal home. The atmosphere was bad and I wanted to just leave. No flavour anymore to the food the quality and service has taken dive. Not the usual quality. Place was empty I can see why… like why should people spend money to eat out when it’s not inviting or tasty… do better.

Went today for dine , order was late there was only two person’s who was taking order all was mess service quality was not good , boy didn’t respond properly , only the girl was handling everything. Not satisfied!

Went in around 10ish today...ordered my usual order of solo platter meal. Asked for side of CRISPY FRIED ONIONS. was told no. Not a problem. All your other stores are accommodating to a very simple request. But it's okay. Changed the order completely to fully loaded chicken as it came with it. Removed jalapeño due to health issue. Food came ate few bites till I my mouth started burning and stomach growling. they put peri peri salt as this is not standard. So I washed it down with a cold drink but the damage was done. Head started sweating belly started rumbling. Pain started. Went over to the counter to ask why did they put peri salt on fries. No answer by the female staff. Asked can I speak to the manager, they bought out the guy that makes fries. Comon seriously? He couldn't understand a word of English. Told the situation in his language. They insisted I speak to someone above them. A short man with massive ego problem approached and said his language 'kaa chayna?' Uncle first of all talk with respect I am a paying customer with a genuine concern. Don't talk to me like I want you to pay a bill. If I hadn't been fasting all day I would have come out with the same energy and recorded this interaction. Explained to uncle firstly...this is the only pepes out of the UK that doesn't give side of crispy fried onions. Wasn't bothered. Don't care attitude. But it's okay Secondly I have had a health issue instigated by you food incorrectly made and your asking me if I want regular fries?! I even said what your food had done to me which was mouth burning and belly rumbling badly. You didn't take it seriously or even shown a bit of fake remorse. won't ever be back to this particular branch but others yes. WORST PEPES OUT OF THE UNITED KINGDOM.

My first time trying Pepe's and oh my God the chicken is amazing. The great thing is you can choose the hear level you want. Was a bit confused about the difference spices but the staff was great in helping me choose the right spice to suit me. Will definitely be back to try something else from the menu.

Staff are all useless baring one of lads who works at the tills his English is excellent and his service is 10/10. However, all the women at till have extremely poor English and their customer service is 1/10 and unfortunately 99.9% of the times it is these women who are serving at the tills. They have no emotions and speak like robots as if they are reading off of a script.

Staff is so arrogant, they dont know how to deal with customers, we've been going to the perth ones since 2 years now feels like home but these aberdeen were are extremely unproffesional. We take a family with different flavours but the lady refused to give my daughter mild flavour. Never coming back to them

I ordered for my food at 18:00 and I was meant to get it 19:20-19:40. My food never came, I phoned the lady never gave me a good responds as she told me the driver will deliver in the next 15-20 minutes. As at 20:30 my food still never came. Very bad customer service. I phoned and phoned and no one responded.

I have been ordering from pepes in Aberdeen for over three years and the prices, food and delivery times were exceptional. Unfortunately the past year something has happened (new staff maybe?) and the food is lacking flavour, the chicken is dry, the prices have increased and the deliveries take a very long time to come. So disappointing. Used to be my go to takeaway.

Tried their combo deal and rice box. A perfect meal as usual. Portion size is good as well. Loved the salad on they gave on side. Also, the staff is lovely and cooperative. Recommended.

Never disappointed, they also offer 20% off food with Blue Light card. Love their half chicken and also the Paneer & Rice, or Chicken & Rice. Great meal post gym!

Pepes never disappoints! A lovely meal, everything was cooked fresh and to order. Standout were the peri fries for sure 😍 we’ve visited this branch a couple of times and have never had any complains.

These people never give sauce. We pay for extra sauce separately but they never give the sauce we paid for. It happens 9/10 times and is very unsatisfactory. Food is good, but I think the service/communication between the workers is very bad regarding providing extra sauce to those who paid separately for that. Chicken is very dry without sauce if we order. Never gonna buy from them again. Been several times and had the same experience. Doesn't recommend. If you can't give the sauce or if your dish doesn't have sauce at least stop taking extra payment for extra sauce.

Currently suffering with food poisoning after eating here. Something must’ve been contaminated. Me and my partner have been nonstop vomiting and diarrhoea. We had Chick’n’rice box and a chicken wrap.

Fresh and delicious food. Great atmosphere and great customer service. This place took me by surprise. This has to be one of the best place for grill food. I would highly recommend it.

As much as the food is fabulous, their customer service is the worst in this branch in Aberdeen ... Make sure everyone to double check your orders before collection. I had a very bad experience, I made a takeaway order then when at home , opened the bag , it wasn't the full order !!! I had guests at home and one of them was missing their meal . When I called the shop , I was told that they checked the camera and it was put in the bag !!! The item was replaced ( chicken strips was replaced by wings ) !!! And they were insisting that i had the correct item even though my receipt was for strips not wings.

I’m giving 1 star solely due to the attitude of the person at the counter on 20/09/2024 around 4 p.m. The name on the bill was Mr. Ahmad. He needs training on how to speak to and treat customers with respect. They are not beggars.

I had no idea that Pepe's existed. I was lucky enough to come across it while riding a motorbike around the outside of the country, the food is bangin'. If you see one get in there, staff were very friendly and it's a good vibe in there. My mouth is watering writing this, get some!!!!!

We were there for dinner. We ordered chicken rice and chicken stripes. Nice and delicious as always be.

We have been eating from pepes since 2 years and we have been loving them. Amazing taste for each food. However our last order wasn't good. The order was late, customer service told me to call bk as they were busy so no help, food was cold. This has never happened before. We always got amazing delivery with hot food. Please don't downgrade your customer service.

The food, which used to arrive hot and crispy, now shows up like it’s just returned from a polar expedition—cold and soggy, like it’s given up on life. Take last night’s order, for example: Delivery time was supposed to be 7:50 pm on 15th August 2024. The food eventually made its grand entrance about 20 minutes late, which, in delivery years, is like an eternity. And when it finally arrived, my fries were so cold and limp, I wondered if they’d spent the trip contemplating their existence. When I tried to call for help, I was serenaded with a lovely hold message: “We’re busy, blah blah…” Really? No matter how good your food might have been in the past, the customer service left a bad taste in my mouth—and not in the way you intended. Pepe’s, I’m not angry, just disappointed. I remember a time when your food was worth the wait, but now it seems like I’m waiting for a miracle. Please, for the love of all things crispy and delicious, step up your game. Very disgusting staff member in king street Aberdeen store, I have ever seen. They don’t know how to respect customer and be loyal. I strongly recommend higher officials to make sure their training part has done properly, otherwise you will have huge loss in this competition market. Very very disappointing just because of staff. But food was amazing!!!! I love pepe food 💕🙌🏻

Worst customer service. I know place is busy but while taking order it would be good to look after whether you can deliver the order. After taking order, we waited for 20min and then they said they can make the dish as they dont have that instock and they will refund the money and i asked to replace the dish, they ask we have to pay for it and earlier payment will be refunded within a week. It was worst experience. I wont prefer to visit again.

Chicken burger is good! Costliest spicy rice in Aberdeen and less when compared to other Piri Piri take aways! Either give more quantity of chips and rice or make it bit cheaper!

The flaw lies in the fact the staff seemed like they really just wanted to get rid of me kept rushing my order even though there was no one behind me and there were only 4 deliveries being made (the riders/drivers weren't even there yet). This definitely made me feel unwelcomed

Cool amd quiet place for dinner. Variety of meals to choose from actually. The kitchen seemed busy as so many take outs were being ordered, as at 7pm. So you can actually grab a late dinner if you want. However the lady that served me wasn't friendly. Anyways, had my fries, a can of soda and quarter grilled chicken to go.

Got severe food poisoning from grilled chicken. Ended up in the hosp on a drip. Considering I actually liked their grilled food I can no longer go back there after their carelessness or intention. Judging from the other comments it seems like that's what the staff are aiming for. Another time staff or the driver literally swapped one of the burgers for a McDonalds burger.... I'd rather be told they'd run out and change the order. Or the driver ate the burger. Weird behaviour all round.

Man, I gotta say, my experience with Pepe's was a total disaster! 😤 They delivered my order an hour late and to the wrong address! And to top it off, they kept giving me false information, saying it was out for delivery when it clearly wasn't. I would definitely not recommend them. 👎

Upon my arrival I was a happy man... The chicken wasnt cooked (the chicken was very pink) and then when we confronted them they tried to argue with us about it (by the way, their normal standard of chicken is pink with blue veins so if your going to go there enjoy a pink chicken that is not cooked that gave me belly ache for three days enjoy your chicken).

We usually eat in at pepes, the wait times are quite long but the food is good and orders are correct. I have ordered home delivery from here a few times however my order is never correct. I ordered the gourmet burger with chips yesterday and it arrived covered in bbq sauce and jalapeños both of which i do not like and have never came with this burger which i order all the time. We also added peri salt to our chips and there was hardly any on either of the portions. For the price of this place you would expect better. If you want to eat here, i suggest you sit in as delivery orders are never correct!

Hello, this delay is unjustified, he wrote that the food will arrive at 3:30, but now it is 4:10 without any response from the restaurant! There is no response to calls and delays of more than a whole hour, really bad and waste of money.

As a Canadian visiting UK, this place was on the top of me list to try! And I gotta tell ya, this place knocked it out the park! Excellent in every way. From the moment we walked in, the friendly staff made us feel right at home. The food was simply outstanding. Each dish was prepared with skill and precision, bursting with flavour. The ingredients were fresh, and the presentation was top-notch. The atmosphere was inviting and comfortable, adding to the overall dining experience. The “extreme” wings were a crowd favourite at our table and definitely one to try if you can handle the spice! The Peri Peri fries were a hit too, so well seasoned and just the right cooking for them to be extra crispy! The team made one small error in our order but were quick to remedy the error so that we were not left disappointed. The staff at Pepe’s attention to detail and commitment to excellence truly set them apart. If you're looking for an excellent dining experience, Pepe's is a must-visit, especially this location in Aberdeen! Thank you for the great hospitality all the way from Canada!

Food is very tasty and place is very clean. If we order quarter chicken, they will provide a small piece of chicken at some time rather than quarter chicken, which is just like insulting customer after spending nearly seven pounds.

I usually enjoy take outs from this place. However I recently dined in and the experience was horrible. There was no value for money and the customer service was extremely poor. They said they reduced quantities as per head office orders!! My prior good experiences makes it difficult to give out a bad review however that's how horrible the recent visit went. I would not advice anyone to go here if ur looking for an ambient vibe, good food and value for money. Extremely disappointed Pepes!!
