The garden hardly deserves to be mentioned in the travel guide. It is the private garden of an older lady, which - if you take your time - can be visited in 15 minutes. No special selection of plants, rather modest maintenance. For tea there was only welshbread from the supermarket. There is only a second star for the beautiful view you have from there.

Overpriced at £5 per person. The garden beds are very tired and in need of attention. Views of the Gwaun valley and hills beyond are superb. No fresh cakes, only packaged food on offer to eat.

A wonderful place hidden on a steep hill... literally hidden because the access is terrible... but it's worth it! The garden is taken care of and created by an elderly lady who is very nice and willing to chat. The work she devotes her life to is unimaginable, so I encourage you to visit this corner.

We went here in 2017 before Covid had a cream tea and it was lovely, a lively friendly gentleman served us, we even bought somw of the local Lamb that was on sale, we were in the area back on holiday, 2022, and wanted to go for a cream tea, we arrived and were told they didn't do cream teas any more because of the covid it had all changed, owner, staff member was a bit abrupt, very disappointed, tea served in a cardboard cup, cake choice limited and they were all pre made and wrapped, I:E muffins and flapjacks and the seating area was very limited and not really cared for. A disappointment 😞

Lovely welcome from the owner. It's a nice but not spectacular garden but has incredible views across the valley. Think small scale and homely, and it's a nice hour diversion if you're passing. Stop for a cup of tea and admire the location

A great place. Beautifully kept and interesting gardens with innovative landscaping and plenty of little picnic spots. Very welcoming hosts whose family have farmed in the Gwaun for centuries. A great place to relax, enjoy a coffee and soak up the beautiful and historic surroundings. Dog friendly!

Stunning scenery, idyllic location. Sit in the herb garden and take in the valley below. Steep road to the entrance, but well worth it!

A beautiful setting, so peaceful and lovely views across the valley. The owners were so hospitable and helpful. Our car broke down whilst there and not only did they make us hot drinks but their son helped out by pumping up our tyre and giving us a ride back to our cottage so we could get another car. Really saved the day. Thank you so much!

Entirely agree with previous post saying it is a disappointment. Only changeviscthe entrance cost has risen from £4 to £5 making it even worse value for money. The herb garden was a joke as I only spotted a few bay trees that qualifies as a herb. The garden clearly lacks a gardener!

Lovely little garden centre with a quaint little tea room, with fantastic views over the Gwaun valley, this place is seemingly on the top of a mountain with a very steep, twisty gradient drive up to it

I hate posting poor reviews but, as a garden attraction, this was a disappointment. The tired and rundown garden is not worth the £4 entry fee per adult. However the tea and cakes were reasonable and the location affords spectacular views of the valley. While there are indications that this may have once been charming in its heyday, this has to be one of the poorest garden attractions in the country. Efforts to keep the grass mown show that the site is not entirely neglected. But this needs much more attention if it is to warrant the entry fee and brown signs. If you go, do it for the attractive valley drive, the view, the cake or the farm produce, or even the thrill of the super steep drive... but until the work is done, don’t expect much of a garden.

Beautiful spot in a remote valley. The coffee was great and the scones with jam and cream were divine. The sun was out and we sat outside and took in the views. Richard was an absolute gem helping me with my family tree and translated from Welsh to English from a local history book all about the farms and properties in the area. Thanks so much Richard! We had a lovely time.

Literally nothing there. Garden not planted or maintained for what looks like years. Nice tea shop and views but that's it.

Ordered two crab sandwiches latte and a beer, £35. Staff need a pick me up or it’s been a hard season. The crab sandwich was good, spoonful of coleslaw, frozen chips. Was told to help myself to a glass for the beer, everyone looked not properly washed, picked the cleanest but still had bubbles down inside indicating grease. Latte was tasteless. Not a pleasant experience won’t be back.
