We waited over 1.5hours for our food and when it arrived it wasn’t worth the wait. The appetiser starters were soft and chewy (spring rolls, prawn toast etc). The crispy chicken was also soft and not crispy - very disappointing. We will not be returning

Do not waste ur money food is terrible..not sure what kind of meat is being used. No flavour not sure what it was couldn't eat it.

Ordered from here as I saw the good reviews. Ordered at 5.30pm and the food arrived at 7pm. That is a long time to wait for a take away. The food was actually tasty but the big issue was the portion size. A portion of seaweed is almost £5.50 and I took it out the bag and only 1/4 of the Tupperware was full. My wife actually laughed. The rice Tupperware was only 3/4 full. It was much more expensive that the usual place we order from. Lastly most of the food turned up cold. Wouldn’t order from here again simply because of the portion sizes being so poor.

Not nice food was not fresh tasted yuk Don’t waste ur money tough beef ribs had no meat on and the chow mien tasted full of oil

Well over priced. Just the same frozen food you get in most. But with less meat and prawns . RIP OFF RIP OFF RIP OFF

Found this place by accident on Just Eat last month. Love it. Now it's my go-to takeout. Beats all the other Asian restaurants in Cheshunt/Waltham Abbey area by miles. Food tastes fresh, tasty, and is cooked well....not greasy at all. Ok so it's a bit more expensive....but you get what you pay for.

I ordered a take-away for my family just after 5pm on Saturday evening, spending over £50. It took over 2 hours to arrive and when we unpacked it, the cartons for several dishes were less than 50% full. E.G. Beef with Pak Choi, charged at £7.95 and Crispy Seaweed £5.45 but there was literally less than half a carton. What sort of restauranteur would think it's acceptable to keep a customer waiting over 2 hours, then send out cartons that are quite clearly nowhere near a fair size portion for the price they charge? No apology, not even a few prawn crackers as a gesture to make up for the wait. Then the added insult of only enabling me to feed half my family. Needless to say I will NEVER order from Paya again and my advice to anyone else is to choose another restaurant.

Food portions have significantly dropped since I last ordered from them, used to be my go to chinese takeaway, Food was tasty but just not enough of it considering your still paying the same price for less food, didnt even get any prawn crackers as the order come to over £27 Ordered for myself and my partners and we were always full after eating the same meal I just feel ripped off this time, wont be ordering from them again.

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. Over a two hour wait , told the driver had gone somewhere else further away than our property , food finally arrived , items missing , cold and just plain disgusting. Called them up , offered us discount for our next order , we obviously weren’t happy with that as we don’t intend ordering from them again , told them we wanted a full refund and they were welcome to fetch the food , the ‘manager’ then got threatening and telling my partner to come to the shop , really? Come to the shop during what’s suppose to be a lock down. No care for customers at all as they wouldn’t have even suggested that as a solution. Kept putting the phone down on us saying he didn’t have time. IF YOU CANT KEEP UP WITH DEMAND THEN SHUT!!!

We ordered a takeaway. Four people selecting a real variety of food and sharing. The service was first class with delivery within 4 minutes of the time stated. The food was, in most cases, very good and came piping hot. I can't answer many of the questions as this was delivered and i haven't been to the restaurant.

I wouldn’t bother ordering from this place, by far the worst Chinese in Waltham Abbey. Food took over 2 hours to come and was cold when it arrived. My advice, go elsewhere.

Delivery took over 2 hours, lady we spoke to on the phone kept lying about delivery time and was completely unhelpful. Food was ok when it finally arrived but not great. Wouldn’t order from them again.

Just ordered delivery today 2nd November 2019 ordered Malaysian satay sauce with king prawns Costing £8.65 which was my main complaint about, as spending all that money and getting 4 yes 4 prawns not even king prawns just your normal prawns..ordered chicken pad Thai noodles which was stuck together as if compacted from night before rices was mush not cooked properly.. Seriosly I have eaten here many times before and has been OK not fabulous hence didnt leave review but only place that delivers at lunch time...But OMG stay away.. I rang them up and the woamn is asking chef how many prawns should she get, first of all he said 6 then when she said i got 4 to what i said he then said 4! Really 4 prawns minute size for £8.65.. But even 6 if he is correct not noticed before, but 6 prawns in a fricking curry sauce that they added peppars pineapple atc with... AWFUL... hubby got crispy chilli chicken as he as eaten his now as i have taken so long, And his was awful too.... They charge so much money for such poor taste and quality... MUST BE MAD TO ORDER FROM THIS PLACE!

I have never had a takeaway that has put me off a type of food before. Then we tried Paya waltham abbey. Firstly when my food arrived it was practically showed in my hands without a word from the delivery man. Secondly the food was stone cold when taken out of the container and this was as soon as it arrived. So considering I live so close, there's no excuse for that. Then to top it off the food was awful & my teenager said it tasted like it had been sitting there for a day or more. Never again will I have food from Paya!

On New Years day we ordered here as not many places where open. First time we have got food from here. The delivery was quicker than stated which was great. The food was piping hot on arrival and in very good quality takeaway Tupperware. The crab claws were really nice and the spicy sauce too. The chicken chow mein was how it should be and also the Thai stir fry was nice and spicy. The two things which weren’t that great was the coconut rice which was quite sweet with the desiccated coconut sprinkled on top and the Pad thai was nothing like a pad thai should taste like. It was like someone had thrown tomato ketchup into the dish, it was revolting. So to sum up, I think we would order again for the Chinese, however it seems like maybe stick with Chinese and don’t mix in Thai if you don’t know how to cook it the right way!

Ordered from here for the first time and most definitely my last. Food was luke warm on arrival, really bad quality products. Ordered chicken Dim Sum and each item was terribly undercooked (see attached) to the point it would have caused serious harm if eaten.I wonder how long this business can last?Steer clear by all means, there’s much better services around the local area.

Worst experience. Second time ordering from my local. Thought I would give it another chance. Poor quality food. Satay sauce was cold and jelly like. Asked for a vegetarian dish and they put meat in it. Second time they have done this, which I find ridiculous. Food tasteless. Avoid.

We ordered our take away food from this place and we waited 45mins which is normal.When it arrived we got the table ready and sat to eat only to find a long hair in my food which was disgusting. It put everyone off eating the food I called the restaurant and he said he will send another one for me, 1 hour later we got another one and at that point I didn't want to eat anymore as it got so late. They didn't offer anything free and when i said I wanted my money back they gave me £8 back when we spent £ 27. We ordered from there quite alot so they have lost a customer and I will tell people also, he will loose more customer. Bad customer service and no compassion, they said it happens not if you wear that was shocking. I will need to let the health standards know for them to go check that place out.

We ordered a takeaway from here was told it would be 45mins to 1 hour, 2 hours later we got our takeaway after phoning several times to be told driver is just a few minutes away which was a total lie, told them to cancel the order but was told can’t do that now, anyway it eventually turned up driver said was very busy night which is ok but just mention when taking the orders it could be upto a 2 hour wait, the food is good but expensive and not worth waiting 2 hours for, had to eat it as all starving, so my advice is go collect it.

I ordered a take away to be delivered and I was told a hour due to it being busy and the traffic (Wednesday evening??). This was at 6.30, so I thought ok I can wait till 7.30 to eat. At 7.40 I call asking where the food is and they said it’s on it’s way. At 8.00 I call again and they said they need another 15 mins. (Bear in mind the shop is only 10 mins away) By now I’m annoyed so I cancel the order and pop out to pick up fish and chips. I get home at 8.30 and the delivery guy is outside my house knocking on the door. I said to him. Do you guys not communicate with one another??? This is a case of the stupid leading the stupid.

Beautiful food ,5star all food arrived piping hot .plenty for everyone.good choice of Chinese and ti.

I ordered 3 dishes, Pad Thai, Ribs and a Dim Sum, which came to £ 19:85, l was then charged £ 1:50 for delivery and 50p for paying with my VISA Card !!

Ordered a meal through the Just Eat website for 20:45. They added an extra ten minutes to my order when it was accepted which is absolutey fine. My partner works late and so I had ordered it for when he came home. The food arrived at 19:30 with no explanation and when I rang the place all they could offer was a very lack lustre "Sorry, our mistake." Now I have to try and keep this food hot for over an hour with no compensation or offer to resend the food at the correct time. For a two pound delivery charge even though we reached the minimum amount of £15 this is awful!! Will not be ordering again!

Amazing food, so very tasty. Arrived early, food was hot. I can honestly say one of the best takeaways I have ever had.

This is the best Chinese I have had in years. It was so nice and no grease either. It even has Thai as well. Would definitely recommend trying.

Tried paya the first time and ordered some Thai and felt really excited to have new take away in the abbey

Ordered a king prawn pad thai and a red chicken curry with jasmin rice. The food was bloody amazing. Good size portions and sooooo tasty. Tastes as good thai cuisine should.

Absolutely lovely food!! I'm very fussy and don't like any of the local Chinese restaurants or takeaways! The price's are a bit higher than the other local place's but you definitely get what you pay for!! I don't have a problem paying more for lovely fresh ingredients that are beautifully presented as we eat with our eye's first. I would definitely recommend you try the food for yourself!! It's taken 11 year's but there's finally a beautiful Chinese locally. We will definitely be regular customers!! Very very pleased!!

Really nice Chinese food- also do Thai and Indonesian options. Tasted really fresh and not greasy like some takeaways. Will definitely order again!

We have had many a Chinese in Waltham Abbey, but they have always been a let down. This is restaurant standard. The food was fantastic, we all had different dishes and would without doubt now eat a lot more Chinese from Paya. Very fast delivery.
