The service was quite slow, the coffee was unpleasantly bitter and the pain au chocolat was mediocre. Also, I had asked for a croissant and only realised I had been given something else after leaving...

Pleasant little Patisserie between St Pancras and Russell Square, en route to city centre. Offering asimpke but delicious range of lunches, snacks and cakes - from different flavoured baguettes and mini quiches/flans to a range of freshly prepared croissants, pain aux chocolat and other cakes and pastries. Great tasting coffees and other hot and cold drinks on offer. Seating inside and at front but busy at lunchtimes. Only slightly disappointing thing is most food and drinks are served on paper plates/cartons. Apart from that it's a great place to visit.

My daughter had told me about this wonderful bakery and coffee shop so it was so good to experience for ourselves. Was in a savoury state of mind so started off with a roasted veg tart followed by a beautiful smoked salmon bagel all washes down with a cappuccino. We will be back!

Smoothies, juices, juice box's something to cater for all and the best of all is its reasonably cheap considering what goes into these.

We loved our lunch at Carrots and Daikon yesterday. I had the garlic tofu Banh mi and my husband had the tofu lunch box. The baguette forming my Banh mi was the perfect combination of crunch with a soft centre and the tofu was nicely garlicky. What really made our day were the ice creams! The chrysanthemum and mango ice cream was such a fantastic combination and the matcha and pistachio was delicious too. We then bought one of each of the other flavours and I must admit that the combinations are creative genius! Who would’ve thought that mint choc chip would go with coffee and raspberry and jasmine tea with its floral notes would hit the spot?! I thought that the coconut and lemongrass was super refreshing too. Thank you to the friendly folk at C & D.

In short, Caffè Frank is a gem. If you haven’t been yet, do yourself a favour and visit. It’s not just a café—it’s a celebration of good food, great people, and the kind of ambience that feels like coming home.
