We ordered a dozen custard tarts for a small family celebration! Antonio delivered them at 0930 Saturday morning as requested. Everyone said how delicious they were and asked about Pastel de Nata. A real desert treat. We have had them them in the past and will order them again in the not to distant future . Antonio thank you , they were absolutely delicious and you are such a nice guy , cheers David and family

Read the reviews and spoke to a friend who had been here so had to call. Really glad I did, lovely and very well filled empadas de frango but the pasteis de nata are superb, best I have had for a very long time. Will definitely be back soon. Muito Obrigado

Dropped in to pick up some Portugese tarts and walked out with a different set of tasty treats. Looks like a one man band and definitely worth supporting as the other patrons all seemed to be enjoying themselves and the tarts were pretty awesome.

I've been here many, many times. The custard tarts are better than anything we can get this far from Portugal. The owner is super friendly and gave my dog some biscuits. The savoury pastries are also good and the coffee is amazing value considering its quality. Not much seating but you can take away. Visit if you haven't already! Much better than any of the chains around the corner.

It was a Sunday lunchtime and we fancied something simple for lunch but not a chain restaurant. The three of us (parents and a teenager) plus our dog decided to get a takeaway. The seating area is small and as the other customers didn't mind our dog we were able to sit in. We had cheese on toast, homemade fish cakes and custard tarts. The service was friendly and attentive and the whole experience was one of the best (but most unconventional) Sunday lunches we've had. Definitely returning.

This cafe really is a hidden gem. The owner is very friendly and makes some lovely homemade cakes. I have visited several times and enjoyed all the different ones I have tried. My favourite has to be the Portuguese tart and the coffee to accompany is also excellent. I would recommend this cafe for delicious authentic cakes and great service.

For the last year this has been our go to cake shop! The homemade Portuguese tarts are to die for. Lots of amazing cakes, tasty biscuits and treats. Great coffee too and the owner is a lovely man who puts everything into his shop. It is not on the high street but is just round the corner from WHSmiths (in the quadrant). Well worth a trip into town on its own!!

I absolutely love Portugal so I was delighted to discover this cafe. The espressos and pastéis de nata are amazing, and when I’m there it’s like being transported back to Lisbon. The cafe itself is cute and has a really lovely ambience. Antonio (owner) is very warm and friendly, and more often than not, I’ve left after having conversations with other customers too. If you’re heading for breakfast, the pastéis de nata are still warm, such a treat! If you’re heading for lunch, the caldo verde (green soup) is delicious. I’ve yet to try the cod with cream but I’m sure it will also be tasty. Well worth a trip into the city centre!

We've tried these Portuguese custard tarts in Cardiff, in Bristol, in Bath and Oxford. But these at Pastel de Nata in Swansea are THE BEST. And Antonio's always there with a friendly welcome. I will freely admit to trying a range of the other pastries as well -- life's short, so eat cake! My favoutites are the brownies (all three sorts) and the orange cake (both types). I look forward to testing others as well.... Plus the coffe is great. And after enjoying the fish soup in the cafe once, we've also taken some home for a quick and tasty dinner.

Wish I lived closer to this place. We’ve called here twice in the last 6 months and the pastries are to die for. Very reasonably priced, if something a bit on the cheap side. The pastel de nata’s (Portuguese Tarts) and custard tarts are outstanding, lovely thin and light pastry. We always buy a selection to take home with us. I’ll be trying the savories next visit.

The richness of the pastel de nata tarts is special. If you've ever had a custard tart, then expect the flavour to knock-your-socks off. This is a regular stop off when I visit Swansea and I'll bring two or more home.

Fancied a snack, can’t stand usual chains, saw this tiny place and wondered in, amazing! Huge selection of cakes, very cheap. We had coffees ( freash and hot) I had a savoury something that was great, the Portuguese egg custard tarts are as they should be, flakey, warm and melt in the mouth. I loved it, but worry it will disappear. Very busy with returning customers when we were there but owner so nice and hard working worth the 5 min wait. Will go to town to go there.

My wife and I stopped in this small Portuguese café for a coffee and pastry. The cakes are wonderful and every bit as good as the pastel de nata we have enjoyed when in Portugal. A great selection of sweet and savory snacks to choose from.

Wow what a gorgeous wedding cake! We loved the whole experience with temptation cakes, especially the tasting day! Any questions were answered straight away and she really put our mind at ease. With the help of Roots Florist for the fresh flowers this cake was an absolute show stopper! Thank you so much! Photo: Philip Warren Photography

Wow wow wow!! We went for the supper club event last night and it was absolutely delicious. The theme was vegetarian and vegan, the food was out of this world. We arrived and had a cocktail in the front cafe area then we were taken through to a beautifully prepared table in the dining area. One long table and guest were sat in a banquet style all together. Brilliant idea 💡 really sociable. When the food started to arrive, there were sighs of happiness all round. We had foccacia, delicious tomato salad, arincini, homemade gnocchi, fennel, goats cheese and peach salad. And lots more I can’t remember (sorry chef!). Oh yes a cauliflower cake which was delicious too. Pudding was a trio of cakes, served with a glass of dessert wine. The staff were super friendly and just in the right job, people focused, finny and charming. Our fellow diners were lovely, fascinating people too. I wish I had taken more photos but I was enjoying the food too much. The whole evening was fabulous and we will definitely be back. Thank you 🤩
