Helen baked an absolutely beautiful cake for our wedding in June. I contacted her because we were getting married in Mumbles. Helen was very friendly and responsive from the start. She met with my wife and I to discuss what we wanted and gave us fantastic guidance once she worked out that we didn't really know what we wanted. We did have some specific dietary requirements for our guests which she accommodated brilliantly. She liaised with our florist to make sure that the decoration all matched on the wedding day and even delivered the cake to the venue on the morning of the wedding. The whole process was entirely stress free and the cake that we got at the end of it was exquisite, truly a work of art that was also delicious to eat. It was worth getting married just to have one of Helen's cakes!

I had Helen make two cakes , one for my husband’s birthday and one for an anniversary. She was utterly professional, friendly and accommodating even with a short notice. The cakes were beautiful, delicious and she even took them to the venue to save me having to collect them. 5star service. Thank you Helen! 🙏

Where to start? Helen was quite possibly our FAVOURITE wedding vendor! She was so responsive from my very first message, she stepped in and by some amazing luck was free for our date despite being rather last minute to plan our wedding cake (May 2024). Her cakes are all made with Swiss Meringue Buttercream - the deliciousness of which cannot be underestimated but for some reason not all cake vendors use it. We met with Helen at her house where she got to know us, each time we visited we ended up spending over an hour chatting to her - she couldn't be lovelier, she made us feel so special and our cake looked and tasted AMAZING! Everyone loved it including us, YOU HAVE TO BOOK THE CAKE COOK!

Thank you Helen for making the most amazing cake for my wedding in September 2023. It was utterly gorgeous ! You followed the brief I gave perfectly and delivered my vision. The cake was so beautiful and elegant, reflecting the day at hand. It was also delicious !! Ordered my husband’s 40th birthday cake , and I was in total shock how beautiful it was , not only did it look amazing it has to be the best chocolate cake I’ve ever had , it was so fresh moist and you could tell it was made with the best ingredients. Thank you for making Richards 40th birthday , I will definitely be having a cake from yourselves in the future x

I highly recommend the cake cook. We ordered the carrot cake and it was exactly as described and tailored to how we wanted it. The quality of the cake and the aesthetics were both outstanding. The communication was also efficient and very friendly. A very nice local business and we will definitely order again.

Quite simply the best cake I’ve ever eaten in my life! My girlfriend ordered me a chocolate ganache cake for my birthday, Helen’s recommendation because I am lactose intolerant and I love chocolate. It was moist and delicious, I wouldn’t be able to tell it apart from a cake with milk and cream because it was so good. The overall look of the cake was also incredible, clearly a lot of time and effort was taken when preparing and decorating the cake. From now on I will only order cakes from The Cake Cook! I have had such a positive experience from start to finish with Helen! I contacted her a couple of weeks ago with quite short notice to ask if she could make a 60th birthday cake for my mum as we were on holiday in the Gower. She responded really quickly and was more than happy to accommodate my order. Helen also offered to deliver the cake which was really helpful as we had gone for lunch the day of my mums birthday. The cake looked absolutely amazing with lovely decorations and Swiss meringue icing! Not only did the cake look fantastic but it was delicious. I wish I had ordered an even bigger one so we could have eaten more of of it! I really highly recommend The Cake Cook for any occasion!

Helen did mine and my partners wedding cake, and our experience working with her from start to finish has been nothing short of excellent. Helen has been wonderful in helping us plan every aspect of our special cake, from flavour to design, and even hand sketched cake designs. We had 16 cupcakes of 4 different flavours to choose from, which was one of the most difficult decisions as they were all so good, and immaculately presented. On the day, Helen was punctual in delivering the cake (unfortunately due to venue difficulties out of her control, she was unable to set up), however our guests had nothing but praise for the cake. Would definitely recommend Helen to anyone, and we will definitely be coming back to her for any future cakes!

Helen is both a fantastic baker and an absolute legend! She made a cake for my partner's 30th birthday and it was perfect. Tasted and looked amazing and everyone was very impressed by it, would highly recommend Helen to anyone wanting a cake for any occasion.

Extremely pleased with the cake I had, the sponge was gorgeous not dry at all and the raspberry filling was beautiful. Very lovely lady who was so easy to work with and took all my ideas into consideration to make the cake exactly how I wanted it. Highly recommend

We recently had the pleasure of ordering a victoria sponge for a birthday celebration. My high expectations were 100% exceeded. The sponge was perfectly fluffy and moist, the jam filling was heavenly, and the cake design itself was what we had envisioned. Customer service was also exceptional and made our experience with the Cake Cook all the more satisfactory. We will absolutely be using this business again in the future

Helen was amazing from start to finish. Understood exactly what we were looking for, was a delight to work with (especially when we popped in for a cup of tea to talk through our vision!). She is professional, fun and very talented. Our cake was exactly what we wanted and it was absolutely delicious! Helen managed to pull it off perfectly even in uncharacteristically hot Welsh weather. She came highly recommended through a friend, and we wish to pass on that recommendation to others who are looking for a fabulous cake provider. 10/10.

I ordered a princess cake from The cake cook. It was impressive and incredibly tasty. Raspberry compote and vanilla icing made a heavenly combination. My daughter loved it. It was relished by everyone. Definitely a great buy.

We went to Wales for my Dads birthday and as we aren’t local I had no idea where to get a cake for him from. I found The Cake Cook and Caitlin was amazing with helping me pick the perfect cake. We went for red velvet with meringue buttercream and masculine look. The service and organisation provided to me was outstanding. The cake was superb better than expected! As you can see it looked stunning and tasted delicious. Thank you Caitlin and Helen for making my Dads birthday special by providing a candle and delivering to our air b n b on the day! Highly recommend them and would use again.

I have ordered two cakes from The Cake Cook. The first was a commissioned banoffee birthday cake and the second was a pistachio and raspberry buttercream birthday cake. Both were uniquely fabulous in both aesthetic and taste. The attention to detail is like no where else I've ever seen and each cake is constructed with meticulous attention to detail, which makes for a really special occasion where the cake can be the centrepiece of the celebration. Shared with friends and family, all have unanimously agreed that the cakes tasted as good as they looked, if not better! The sponge is exquisite, the cook finding the perfect balance between moisture, texture and flavour that compliments (rather than acquiesces to - as is so often the case with shop bought likenesses!) the wonderful range of flavours and textures that are imbued into the exterior coating, be it fondant, icing, buttercream - whatever you could imagine. The addition of beautiful fruit, colourful meringue, decorative chocolate configurations are delightful and really make for a magnificent smack on the taste buds! Breath taking quality and quantity at extremely competitive prices, I can't recommend the cake cook highly enough for any occasion. Quite simply - do not delay, eat some fabulous cake today!

What an unbelievable talent on our doorstep! Based in Mumbles ‘The Cake Cook’ was just amazing from start to finish, talking through ideas, liaising with the florist for themed colours and creating this magnificent wedding cake for us. The devil was certainly in the detail and the taste was even better, with each tier a hidden gem. Full of flavour, it was pure genius with traditional fruit cake, carrot cake, lemon & elderflower and white chocolate and raspberry. I would highly recommend The Cake Cook as her creativity is brilliant, she really can turn her hand to anything asked of her, thanks again Helen ❤️ Sian & Rhodri x
