We were staying in Lynton and as there is sadly no longer a bakery there, we looked around for an alternative. We found Parracombe Community Store and Cafe on Tripadvisor and are so glad we made the effort to drive out there - about a 13 minute drive. Wonderful shop, stocking freshly baked sourdough bread (ironically, baked by someone in Lynton) along with other foods you’d expect in a great farm shop. Another delight was the cafe. We enjoyed great quality toasted teacakes outside in the sunshine. We bought great bread, butter, jam, cheese, hummus, biscuits, a couple of bottles of cider - and including our teacakes and tea - spent the same as we spent on a couple of average burgers in Lynton the day before. Great experience and great value.

I wish we had a community shop and cafe like this one. Stumbled across it by a lucky accident. I don't want to increase the traffic through this tiny village but it's well worth a diversion off the Google maps route. Great coffee and cakes. Great stock of veg, beers, Crafts and pretty much anything you could need. Lovely staff, clean as a whistle and basically pretty perfect.

Friendly community run store and café. Great coffee, cakes and savoury snacks (pasties, sausage rolls, etc), as well as a well stocked shop section full of local produce. There is also a local crafts section. As well as all that, there is a large field for the kids to run around in. Brilliant place.

Visited today with my family, could not have been a more enjoyable experience. Attentive, accommodating and friendly staff. Ensured the 4 of us could sit together once another group had finished - making it much easier to keep an eye on our two little boys. Offered an easy alternative of baked beans on toast (though neither of our boys like that - think they're the only kids that don't!), but felt assured could ask for a very slight amendment to the sandwich offering for my eldest (6), we ordered our youngest (4) jam on toast which came with a selection of 4 jams! Exceeded expectations all round, expecting a loaf sized piece of lemon drizzle, when lemon cake was offered, instead it was a three layer lemon cake that was delicious, everything was really reasonably priced and delicious. Would recommend without hesitation and I don't know for sure, but it sounds like they provide some level of takeaway too, if you're looking for picnic bits. Thank you

Second visit to Rockleigh Takeaway and managed to have the Beef Stroganoff this time. Delicious it was too. As was the Thai Fish Curry. Really enjoyed it and generous portion too.
