Papa John's Pizza in Peterborough

Went here today, Google says it's open, which was surprising considering it was Easter Sunday but we went down just to get a few bits We arrived and it was shut. Website still said it was open so we were rather confused. Other people were there, looking just as confused. They need to update the website because that was time wasted Other than that when we go it's a good supermarket

Rubbish service. No answer. Takes orders on app and doesn't deliver and cancels order.

My experience wasn't as bad as others. Delivery was quick and portions were about right. I didnt have anything in batter as this was bad when I've had it before, and by the other reviews it hasn't improved. The chips were OK, but I think they are bought chilled rather than a chipper on the premises (which defeats the idea of calling it a chip shop). I ordered salt and vinegar, but they arrived plain. The mixed kebab was also OK. The donner bit wasn't very hot and the salad was 90% cucumber (no tomatoes or lettuce, plain chopped cabbage and a tiny bit of onion). There was no option for chilli sauce so I had to have ketchup. From past experience it is unpleasant bottled chilli sauce and not homemade. They could make a few changes/make a bit more effort and be a great shop, but seem to focus on doing things on the cheap rather than quality. I dont think I'll order again in a hurry- it is only 5 minutes from where I live but I'd rather wait a bit longer (and pay a little more) for something of better quality. Let's face it, there are 100s of places in Peterborough who deliver and competing, and people are becoming more interested in quality as there is not much difference in prices between takeaways. I hope they read reviews and up their game as I'd like to support something in Hampton.

Very lively pub, prices seem fair too.

The Three Horseshoes has been on our goto list since we moved into the area 2 years ago and we've been to many lovely pubs and restaurants serving great food but this tops the lot. The food was exceptional together with the service and ambience. It was full from couples like us to families and larger groups and the staff did a great job. What we also liked was a menu with simple set of choices so 4 starters, 4 mains and 4 desserts. Sounds basic but something for everyone rather than lots and lots of choices. So 5 Stars, thank you to everyone and we didn't expect it but I mentioned on the booking it was our anniversary so a lovely touch to bring out a little something with our desserts. Can't wait to go back again!
