Very disappointing pizza quality, total waste of money!

Food was totally cold like rubber

I just ordered a pizza and side and drink about 6 in morning. I literally live 10 mins by walk from shop took 45 min to being delivered no worries I can ignore that. Other side the food was literally burnt taste less no fats of cheese. I have added pineapple as an additional topping everyone can barely find 6-7 pieces. Additionally the side which they gave us was already made hours ago and they just reheated it and sent us. Which is disgusting. When I called the shop a lady called Ankita answered and blamed the delivery guy but actually ignoring the issue with food. She was speaking as robot like “claim refund” “claim refund”. So what they expect me to do. I can guess this just happens because of lack of management and under trained staff. I would recommend not to order for sure rather prefer to stay hungry.

Pizza's were ordered well in advance for a delivery that was requested later in the day. Got a text from Uber saying they will be delivering the order. Driver on the way but all of a sudden, another delivery driver was requested. Pizza's finally arrived 25 later than requested and on receiving the pizza's, the driver said he went to the wrong address. Pizza's and sides arrived luke warm at best. Definitely won't be ordering from here again

I ordered garden veg pizzas and received 2 margaritas... hardly any veg. I won't embarrass the management with photos because they already know what they're doing!

We ordered 8 items. 1 out of 8 items was missing so we called. One lady answered and once we explained the situation, was very rude and cut the phone 3 times. She was not willing to speak. And blamed uber. Who only delivered due to the busy day. Uber was not at fault. And she was wrong as we ordered of the website. She also claimed that the 8th item was only a delivery charge. Which doesnt make sense. As that would never be included in the list of items. Same lady was heard behind talking in hindi, arguing in reference to the calls. Which we could understand. On 5th time calling back, someone else answered claiming to be the manager. She calmly defused the stituation. Although we had no compensation or refund, the item was replaced and sent out. This has happened numerous times with papa johns, in specific with this Edgware branch. With numerous different people ordering. Busy day or not.

I understand there were a few factors as to why my order was late last night. Yes, it was a Friday night. Yes, the football was on and yes, it was raining. My ETA kept changing and I somewhat accepted that. What I did not accept was a lukewarm order. I watched the driver retrieve my order from his back seat without a container of any sort so as a result I had lukewarm pizza and sides. Not the best experience.

Always on time, accurate with order, clean shop and great tasting pizza! Never had a problem ordering from here.

If you like cold pizza over an hour late this is the place to be! No apology for the delay to my delivery either. The pizzas were verging on cold, but still tasted nice however the base is too chewy and dry so needs more tomato sauce and dips. The vegan nuggets were tasty, but lukewarm. The cheesy garlic bread was delicious though.

NEVER ORDER FROM THIS SHOP!!! I ordered two pizzas at 20:08 online and paid. After an hour I called them and check the order, the woman on the phone said it was already on the way. Wait for another hour, nothing showed up so I called again. The same woman answered the call and said they were too busy and needed another hour. I said it had been two hours and I needed to cancel the order and she just banged the phone down. I called again and asked for refund and she just banged the phone down again after saying "No refund". The delivery showed up at 11:40 when my family were already sleeping. The delivery guy asked me to call the shop if I refused the order but no one answered the phone. Open the boxes and saw two cold pizzas that were baked at least an hour ago. The worst experience in my life.

Nah not feeling it at all. Their pizza is dry and chewy Never enough toppings, never enough cheese! Also no parking around the area

Big thank you to Umang. I have milk allergy placed an order it looked like I was sent normal cheese found out later this was not true once Umang resent the order. He said he did not want to take no risks. Very good service sorry my review is little later then plan.

Can’t believe how awful the service was , constantly communicated with resteraunt who kept saying sorry we are busy , then after 2 hours “just CANCELLED “ , had a house full of hungry people and children , so embarrassed, will not use them again .

I have placed my order over an hour and a half ago. I have tried calling the store but no one answers the phone. I’m tired of waiting and want to cancel my order but I’m being told I have to contact the store to cancel. It’s ridiculous. They are just a scam

Not a great start to the year with Papa Johns Edgware. Order placed for 3 pizzas. It took over 1 hour to get these 3 COLD, DRY pizzas. After several attempts to call the branch, I was misled by the staff, being told at first the order was soon to be on the way, awaiting the driver and it would take 10 to 15min to be delivered. 30min later, the order was being picked up by the driver and would take 5 min to be with me. 25min later, the "so called PAPA JOHNS hot and freshly made pizzas" never arrived. Instead, 3 (not so) lovely, tasteless, cold, dry pizzas. Not a bad way to start the year when you have hungry children asking for Papa Johns pizza. Thank you Edgware Branch for (not) meeting expectations. I would also to mention that the driver took a picture of the pizza being delivered (company policy I guess?) and, after mentioning I was going to present a complaint for the massive delay, thw same person tried to take more pictures. I politely asked him not to as he had his proof of delivery yet he insisted. I wished him a good night and turned away but could see him still taking pictures of, what seemed to me, to be of myself and the house where I live with my family. My partner is now afraid. Should we worry about our safety now? I don't even want to think about this option. I will avoid Papa Johns as much as I can. What a show Papa Johns. I would love to see an explanation to what happened here if you could.

Just one single adjustment.. the food it's tasty no comments 5 stars for that delivery as well but it's one more thing.. idk what's happened, the seal from box it's very weak an many times it's coming broken I know maybe it's from delivery or something but for the future can you put 2 of them or something much stronger...? Order two large thin based pizzas at 5-6pm yesterday which wasnt a busy time. Food took about 45mins, came warm Not pipping Hot. Very stingey with base sauce and cheese and filling. Dough tasted like cardboard , hard and chewy. Feel Ripped off

Very unhappy with the pizza they just delivered. Looks like dog’s dinner. They have lost a customer….. It looked exactly as pictured and came very cold. Why would you deliver this? I’m waiting for this to be returned but no one is answering. Avoid.

The new style of tomato sauce is just revolting. Tastes like pure vinegar and sugar. Will never buy another pizza from them unless they go back to the old one.

The customer service was questionable!! I had ordered pizza around 7 pm. I’m not far at all from the Resturant and I know without a shadow of doubt that it takes about 10/15 mins (if there’s no traffic) for the pizza to arrive at my door once it’s left the pizza restaurant. So I had expected the pizza to be delivered within the next 30 minutes maximum so by 8 pm, I had received notification that Papa johns had finished making the pizza and then it was awaiting for the delivery driver to send it to deliver. It got considerably late (around 8:15/8:30) and noticing that the app continually added more time to the ETA of the delivery, so I called up the driver said there was an accident. He seemed chilled about it, so I said surely you should be letting me know this, instead of adding extra time, if you have the pizza by the time you get out of the accident area the pizza will not be hot! I then said, I think it’s a bit unfair for me to be receiving a cold pizza, considering the driver had not moved from the location of where the pizza place was. I asked the driver to just take it back to the shop if he is not able to drive forward, he agreed and said someone else will deliver it, which I still found strange because if there is an accident then the other drivers will also not be able to move forward… He was a bit rude and said he’s just a driver and he ended up cancelling the job, I then called the restaurant and said listen guys I’ve been waiting for a very long time (nearly 2 hours since I ordered) you can understand I would do not want a cold pizza, the person I spoke with had a very rude entitled tone, he was saying that he is extremely busy, there is nothing they can do, I need to speak with the drivers it’s their fault… I said I’m still a customer papa Johns and I’ve paid for a hot pizza to be delivered and I have every right to ask for the service to be the way it supposed to be i.e. no cold pizza!! He ended up hanging up on me I then called back and I was very angry at that moment, which I expressed to them and I had said listen do not send a cold pizza to my house if anything you need to make that pizza again and your member of staff has been exceptionally rude to me so at that point I was going back and forth still haven’t received a pizza it was 9 pm and managed to get through to someone from Papa Johns for about 15 minutes he was trying to explain to me the situation I said I understand the situation I know you’re not in charge of what happened on the roads however I’d called Papa Johns to see if there was something they could do with the cold pizza he said okay I’m making you a new pizza and I’m very sorry for my colleague who hung up the phone on you.. The pizza arrives comes and it’s hot (thank goodness!) it was two hours later, but I was thankful the man that I’d spoken with after having the other colleague that hung up the phone on me was extremely empathetic and did ask if I receive a hot pizza, he said could you kindly leave a review for the restaurant I had agreed to it however I had said I will be speaking about the colleague that hung up the phone they did not give me his name however they gave me the name of the store manager as well as the person I was speaking to he gave me his name which I’m appreciative for however I do not believe that you working in any customer service based role gives you any right to speak to anybody and make someone a customer feel belittled and feel less than for calling and asking for something to be fixed considering it’s out of my control and the only thing I can do at this point is ask.. I understand that you were human beings and we all have stresses but it does not mean means if you were in a customer base role you do not take out your frustrations on others because it’s uncalled for at this time I’m a human, exchange my money for their produce/product so therefore I’m expecting that service to be delivered as such, now if it comes and it’s cold, honestly that is not my fault, however I should not be the one to deal with it. Nonetheless I did enjoy my delayed hot pizza however I will be following through what happens with that colleague or tried to follow through to speak to the store manager because I was appalled by how one of the staff members conducted themselves on the phone.

I would give them 0 stars if possible, they not even worth any stars at all, possibly the worst branch in UK with added poor service, rubbish management as well. Rude and arrogant staff who are unable to follow simple instructions. Always late serving cold rotten pizzas, avoid at all cost you will be left unsatisfied and will be waisting your money. Their pizzas are only good for the bins!

When our order arrived, it was completely cold. Driver couldn't find the place; clearly unexperienced. Chicken wings - they were OFF!!!!!!! When I called them to complain about the off chicken wings, I was answered by a very rude woman who hanged up the phone on me!!!! VERY rude customer service. I'll NEVER order from here again.

I ordered my pizza by phone gave the lady who could speak very minimum English my order and address she said it will be there in half and hour I called back a hour and fifteen minutes later wondering were my pizza is and to be told that the pizza wasn’t ordered and they don’t have it on there systems. They need to get staff that’s trained and know what there doing not that it’s a difficult job anyways will never use them again

I always buy my pizzas from here. Today tho I was told to order online for better price (person 1) and also for it to be delivered at time I wanted. When ordering online I noticed order was wrong. I called them and they sorted it (person 2). Most importantly pizza was on time ! Deliverer (person 3) was happy! Fab ! Thank you to those in this evening !! Pizza was amazing.

The place seems to me was very unorganised with many people from outside coming in and out of the kitchen and no one was wearing a mask which is a bit dangerous and disappointing.

If you want your pizza delivered on time, look elsewhere. Their delivery times are an absolute joke. Sort your process and your people out.

American Hot pizza ordered from Edgware is a joke. Extra large pizza with few tiny slices of Pepperoni and not much more jalapeno peppers. Some pizza slices had no toppings at all. It tastes like Margarita - disappointed.

Terrible pizza dough soggy avoid

This was poor quality pizza from Edgware Papa John. Ordered 2 large pizzas and 2 sides. 1 pizza was very dry, hardly any cheese and soaked in bbq sauce. Even the kids who like bbq sauce refused to eat it after a few bites. Called papa john, very rude "owner"( his words) called Bandey tells me there's nothing he can do. He said because the kids taken taken a few bites of pizza, he would not do anything. I told him, how would the kids know the pizza was bad until they tried to eat some. Seems this person did not understand the nature of restaurant/take away business. You wonder why he would go into the service industry, if he did not care about the quality of pizza and ingredients he is serving to customers. Maybe the saving on quality to get more profit? Asked for manager and he was not yet at work. This owner did not seem the least bit concerned about my concern on dry and poor quality food, he just insisted that if kids had not taken some bites, he would have replaced it. Money does noy grow on trees. When you spend money on food for your family, you at the ver least expect it to be edible. What a joke, very bad representative of the PaPa John's brand. I'll never believe any quality assurance on their pizza again.

Good pizzas but totally disappointed by the Potato Wedges - raw boiled unsalted potato slices- No coating like the pictures say. When I called to ask they said must be the photo qualities and did not have the courtesy to offer a refund. Total embarrassment to friends and family

Papa John is a strange one. It's not at the same level as Domino or the Hut in this country but they do make a good average pizza. Unfortunately there are a bazillion pizza takeaways that do exactly the same for less money. What this country needs is value for money. It's only cheese on a bread base with extra bits chucked on top. Everyone tries to get as much out of the customer as possible.

Placed an order online when it turned not all there. The staff cant be bothered to actually read the order and couldn't care less. Between pizza hut and papa John's neither employs staff who can actually be bothered to do the job

Worst customer service and not hygienic

I just ordered a large pizza and tandoori chicken poppers and topped love in ice cream this was the order and I received normal chicken poppers and cookie dough ice cream. And the pizza was very dry as well. I’m very disappointed!!!!

Awful I live less than a mile away and it took 1 hour and 20 minutes till my order came. No way to track I called them twice they just tell me five minute five minutes, they didn’t even know where my order went. Love papa John but won’t be ordering again after this. Honestly just don’t bother

I had tremendous problems trying to get an anchovy and mushroom pizza, for some reason they added tuna to my pizza, when I complained they sent me as a replacement pizza and that too had the wrong toppings, I did point out Farmhouse, Tops Pizza and Dominos are within walking distance, it's still didn't motivate them enough to supply the correct pizza.

Absolutely bogus pizza place!!! The pizza arrived after 1 hour and was cold, soggy and horrendous. Even my 90 year old grandma who's never tasted pizza could make a better one. The garlic twist was like a ball of uncooked dough we couldn't even swallow. Negative 5 stars .. stay away ... yuck
