Palm by H20 in Coventry

We had high hopes for Palm by H2O, especially given its beautiful interior and upscale vibe, but the experience turned out to be extremely disappointing. From the very beginning, things were off. We waited over 10 minutes after being seated before having to ask for menus ourselves. No one brought them until prompted, which immediately set the tone for poor service. While the starters arrived in good time, the main courses were a disaster. We waited 50 minutes for them to arrive. An appalling delay, especially for a restaurant of this caliber. What made it worse was the confusion and miscommunication from the staff. We were asked if we were ready for mains, to which we said yes, only to sit there for nearly an hour after that. Different waiters gave us different stories: one said the food would be out in 10 minutes, another said the kitchen told them 5 more minutes, and finally, a third admitted the kitchen hadn’t even received the order. This constant back-and-forth and lack of honesty was incredibly frustrating. For a place that looks the part and charges premium prices, the service was shockingly poor. We didn’t appreciate being told fabricated timelines just to keep us pacified. To be fair, the food itself was good but not good enough to make up for the abysmal service and the long, unexplained delays. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning. A nice setting can’t make up for bad service and a disorganised kitchen.

The lamb shank was literally like a home cooked bengali dish. Gotta give it to the chef for that. Food was great. Service was very good. Everyone was so welcoming especially with my 1 year old. They even gave him a tablet to watch on. The prayer room must be the most beautiful one I have ever seen at a restaurant, praise to the owner for making it. It was worth the 1 hour journey :)

Was truly a very nice experience, the waitress Moon and waiter Calvin were amazing. They took every effort to make us feel comfortable helped us to take many photos. The most invaluable experience is the prayer room. It's very beautiful and very spiritual. I prayed magrib namaz felt I was at home. I would recommend those who read namaz to pray at least once in the prayer room.

Decor is lovely & atmosphere was good..food average..service fail..took a veryyyy lonnnngggg time for meal to be served..waiter keeps saying food is coming in two minutes..must have said it 4x the on 5th said it’s coming in 5mins..but actually it’s an hour & 30mins later. Would have been better given sincere apologies rather than promising that food is on it’s way. Don’t have plans of coming back nor recommending it to anyone.

The food was brilliant, all the dishes were presentable and were all cooked perfectly and well seasoned, we all ordered the Polo chicken! The waiting time was standard too! around about 15-20 minutes Mamoon and Muhammed served us throughout the evening. They delivered top-tier customer service, they were friendly and always checked in at the right moments. They made sure we had everything we needed in a timely manner. The atmosphere was a stylish yet relaxed tone, it was a comfortable vibe with the right level of music so it was easy to communicate.

I have never seen customer service as fabulous as I saw there, Moon, Yeg and in fact the full team was superb, making sure we had a lovely time from start till finish. Great experience, good food and good atmosphere

Had one of the most horrible experiences at this restaurant recently. Visited with a friend, and we were moved 3 times by the staff during our meal. The worst came when our table was removed while we were waiting for dessert. Yeah you read that right, they removed our table during meal. I wonder if we were meant to eat on our hands. I tried not think it was some form of profiling, but the table of another black group beside us was also removed before they were done. Coincidence or is that the restaurants culture and value?

First time coming and was not disappointed. From the moment I walked in, the staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. The food was great could not fault anything. Moon was lovely, from recommending dishes to checking in at just the right moments, her service was seamless and thoughtful. It’s rare to find someone who brings that kind of warmth and professionalism, and it really made the whole evening special.

We visited yesterday, parking was convenient lots of street parking. Staff are very attentive and professional. The restaurant has a really nice ambience definitely has Dubai vibes the decor was stunning!! We had the mango flavoured prawns as a starter and the chicken wings which were really nice, I didn’t enjoy the flavours of the polo chicken ( it was okay )but my husband loved his steak. The waffle was disappointing it didn’t look or taste freshly made- I wouldn’t recommend them. However overall an enjoyable visit we would return for the ambience and decor.
