Pala Kebab and Grill in Richmond upon Thames

Very low quality doner. Also my stomach has been making weird noises since eating. Also when you order you can’t choose both garlic sauce and chili sauce which should be standard for doner you are forced to choose one sauce and pay extra for the second!

The staff are friendly but the food isn't very good, the meat is very salty, that counts for all the types of kebabs they sell. The pita bread isn't fresh, quite hard and stale. They only accept cash if that matters.

Bought a chicken doner and lab Kofte, chicken was dated bread was not fresh at all and lamb was poor with a little hair found in it. Very pricy too. This was the third time I tried this place every time with the hope I find something decent, will never ever try again! Not worth a penny, I just hope I don’t fall sick!

I can totally understand why they’ve been around 40+ years. The taste, the quality, the consistency. Nothing beats a “let’s go to Pala’s.

Better than decent lamb and chicken shish

Recently moved to the area, used these guys a few times now and always consistently good. Had the delivery this evening, huge portions, piping hot food, salad fresh, just delicious!! Sad to See some silly poor reviews about sitting in etc…. It’s a kebab shop!! Decent guys, working hard for their family business. Throughly recommend

Kebab came fast, and was what you would expect. What was exceptional about this shop? The service! I happened to forget my pool cue as we left, made enquiries about it the next day, and was pleasantly surprised to find, it had been kept and was handed back to me. Thank-you Pala Kebab.

Overall the food was soggy, cold and vile to eat- paid £37 on just one item for it to be the same as a regular portion. DO NOT GET FOOD FROM HERE! absolute rip off and the food is vile. Do better pala kebab

Overpriced and don't get much, kebab was rubbery and shish chewy. Go across to T.Js more value for money. Even better order from capri pizza and kebab

I know this take away kebab shop for many years. The owner is a friendly person. Once I been to the shop to buy a chicken portion take away, his young son was serving. Later I found a piece of metallic wire in the food. I went back to the shop to just let him know and not asking for anything else but his son was With no manners, rude and accused me of lying because he feared I will ask for a refund. What an immature and inexperienced boy he is. Beside the meat and chicken kebab are generally too fatty. Never again

9.40, can't sit in, lamb shish looked dated, had no cheese for even a burger, a Turkish restaurant that doesn't have a Turkish Salad, well over priced, in all due respect it is one of the most awful so called Turkish kebab restaurants in London, service was awful just to get a Take away, closesvmost decent real Turkish kebab restaurants are all in Fulham and West Ken.

I always though this looked a bit scuzzy. But I'm always looking for a good replacement for Andy's in Turnham Green for many years. I only have doners and must be in pitta with good salad and chili sauce. Tried twice now and its looking good. Yes it's great.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I’m afraid what I ordered wasn’t up to scratch. I ordered a large doner kebab and chips, with chilli sauce and all salad, with the exception of tomatoes. The ‘large’ doner kebab and chips wasn’t sufficient enough, plus there was no pitta, salad or chilli sauce. The meat was also undercooked. Definitely not value for money. On the plus side it arrived on time and was warm.

oh my god it's really bad. I guess those who eat the food here have never eaten real kebab etc. I couldn't eat the meat I bought, the meat was really bad👎🏻

My order was 2 large lamb shish wraps. What I've got? 2 small pita bread with 4 or 5 small pieces of lamb and a salad and the price £8.80 each. So disappointed. Never go back.

Great place been going to pala from a kid always good food

As a family we have been going to this kebab house for over 36 years. We live in biggin hill , in Kent now. But we WILL and DO travel all that way just to buy a kebab from them. Their homemade chilli sauce is amazing and was one of my cravings when I was pregnant with one of my sons over 35 years ago. I’ve known Ismail since he was a teenage boy helping his dad out at the shop. He’s always been a very very friendly man. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED you WILL NOT be disappointed

Used to do nice kebabs here, ordered 2 large kebabs from here and it was not like I remember them, I was saying to my new partner wait till you try these kebabs they are lovely. But it was dissapointment kebabs not awful but not great either. one thing that bothered me is that I felt I was ripped of the kebabs were so small, also going stingy on the veg and forgot to put and sauce I ordered on the kebab. I said to my partner not woth £20 for them and she also agreed. no way. very dissapinted. I was wondering mif it was because I was going through uber I got a small deal maybe because they have to give uber a cut. well this time, me the customer suffered. no good pala youve fell from grace.

I've been a costumer for 25 years or so. Quality and tasty flavours are still there to enjoy every time I have a Pala super mixed grill or chicken kebab or mixed kebab, my favourites. My main use is take away in the evenings only.

Should open 11.30 on saturday. Now 11.35 and still not open, when knock to the the window he show me his watch which was wrong. Just waste my time. Will never come again

Just Googled the details to call in advance to check if they were still open on the time mentioned online ... Not sure what the 1 * reviews are on about!😂😂😂 I've been a loyal customer for years at this place and will always stay loyal to these guys! Always fresh food and consistent everytime ! None of the bulk buy garlic or chilli dressings everything is always fresh! If it's not fresh enough the owner will always offer a shish option or something else or tell you they're closed FACT never had a bad kebab from this place . Plus side aswell as waiting for good food always banter from the owners while you wait friendly atmosphere! Once your a regular they know you ! Nothing is ever to much or a problem. Support them! Everynone in Richmond in sheen knows this is the best by far !!!

Didn't hate it but very avarage.

Fantastic kebabs! The meat is always fresh and tasty, especially the shish which is cooked to perfection with a little bit of char and beautifully tender. Their hummus is also fantastic and I always get it I stead of chips The guy behind the counter, Ishmael, is always super friendly and up for a chat. This is literally the only kebab shop I order from because no where else tastes this good. (The Pala special is great for two or three HUNGRY people to share)

All ways a happy staff and good food

The silly man made me a kebab on chips. While I was eating it , I realize that the chips totally melted the bottom of the polystyrene box and created not-so-organic mixture. When I told him, he just said:' yes the chips were too hot' . Dangerous carcerogenic place. Avoid!

I've been looking for a decent kebab shop in Richmond area..now I have found it..just such a shame there's no delivery! I had the lamb shish and kofte mix and it was fantastic. Sober I might add ;)

If you want a perfect Burger and chips, Kebab or chicken burger your not going to get better than this place. Its real food and consistently excellent. If you haven't tried them your missing out in life I promise you will love it.

Pala kebab offers a great service and fantastic food. Eating in is a absolute joy as the staff are so friendly and funny. Being served kebab on a plate is a novelty but really works. Also best chilli sauce in the whole of the south!+

Fui al lugar porque me encontraba cerca es un lugar no llamativo el dueño es un señor peculiar pero amable. La comida realmente no es la gran cosa. No se si esperaba mucho sabor como un buen taco mexicano pero realmente fue algo simple y sin mayor sabor que el pollo y la cebolla que tenian.

We moved to the area this year and began trying all of the local take away restaurants. This one is bar none the worst. The meat was low quality, sauces were oily and untasteful, and food delivered of varying temperatures. Our advice: skip this one.

Tasty meat. Only improvement would be naan or flat bread instead of pita

I have just visited this kebab and grill restaurant, usually a lovely, friendly experience. However, tonight, one member of staff gave my amigo a bit of bad attitude after he requested ketchup, despite not being offered ketchup. Not only this, the member of staff resumed to cover the food, evenly in ketchup. There are two types of people in this world; ones who prefer this technique for ketchup dispersion, and the ones who don't. My friend is the one of the laters. This was very unprofessional, and as I have said, out of character of the usually inviting atmosphere. Apologies for having to write this review, and best of luck X

Love this place, never disappoints. Unlike many kebab joints their meats seem freshly prepared and cooked. If you need a takeaway on the hoof, this is the place to go.

I wasn't a fan of kebabs until this place was recommended to be and I haven't look back since. I've tried other kebabs and they simply don't measure up to Pala. Staff are friendly, food is appropriately priced and absolutely delicious. The mixed meat kebab is generously stuffed with high quality lamb, chicken and veg and it doesn't leave you feeling greasy and full of regret. The meat is top notch and grilled to perfection. Try the baklava as well if you can, it's just the right amount of sweet and the pastry is made superbly.

Kebabs are delicious, especially the lamb kofte. Staff are always happy and up for a chat. Open really late... saved me from starvation a few times when on my way home after a night out. Only slight complaint is the chips are a bit hit & miss.

piece of crap! i use to think it is quite tasty doner but i was buying it being drunk (faced off being honest) , unfortunately (for them) recently I was sober, and realize the truth - that is stinky piece of crap!! once I unwrap that I smell horrible stink, anyway I decided to give it a try, tasted horrible!!! NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL!!

To put it simply, the food here is fantastic. I don't eat kebabs at all, I find them far too greasy but once a month, me and a few friends go here specially. The food is always cooked fresh and served piping hot, and the portions leave you full (usually with a little leftover) for a reasonable price. The guy who runs the place is one of the most friendly blokes I have met in my life and the atmosphere in general is good. I think the fact they use a charcoal grill for burgers and kebabs rather than a flatplate is the reason the food is so good rather than being fatty and greasy, but either way it's the best place for a kebab or burger in Sheen. The only downfall is parking isn't the easiest to find immediately, but it's worth it. (The homemade chilli sauce is amazing, try it on everything.)

We visited this very ordinary looking kebab shop on the recommendation of a rather discriminating friend. Glad we did-clean, friendly with good, fresh reasonably priced food. We had a doner kebab with salad and a kofte kebab, also with salad. These were served with pitta bread on the side and a choice of garlic or chilli sauce (both excellent and freshly made on the premises-they told us that Domino's Pizza down the road actually by their chilli sauce from them!) The cost with two cokes was about £12 for two good, filling meals. After I had paid I asked the cheery gentleman behind the counter for a glass of tap water and he insisted on giving me a bottle of chilled mineral water for nothing! We will be back.

It's an ok Kebab, the place looks clean and well looked. Meat is good, filling is generous, but fries are tasteless and not worth the extra money in my opinion. A large kebab with fries and a drink will cost you £7+ in the end.
