Ossi's Eat In & Takeaway in Norwich

I just experienced the worst fast food of my life. Pizza was a complete state, but most importantly, chicken with 'chilli sauce' was indescribably bad, me and my partner love spice and it made us physically sick. She took one bite and choked. Most worryingly of all, it was slathered on in such a violent way I genuinely feel that it was done by a frustrated member of staff out of spite due to how late it was(?) I'm a service worker and get how hard it can be, I also hate dobbing in other people in these jobs but this meal was absolutely dreadful and cost the best part of 20 quid. I know these reviews always read like an annoying member of the public being way too picky, but I am used to slumming it with fast food chicken ( I live Brixton) and this was seriously vile. Don't go there ever. Rarely does stuff like this make me angry but there's a certain level of care you need to give if you are asking people to pay money for the food you are making. If this place stays open my only hope is that people continue to go there and spread the word on here about how utterly disgusting it is. Close it before you kill someone with your disgusting food

Food was mediocre and barely warm when it arrived

AVOID! food was stone cold. Doner meat was rock hard. Meat was scrappy pieces. Shop owner was so rude and refused to make this right and kept hanging the phone up. Save your money or spend it elsewhere. Never been so disgusted with a takeaway.

Didn't deliver all the food ordered - disappointed

Garlic bread was out of date and horrible was binned pizza just about OK wasn't well after having it

Delivery driver was super polite and smiley with lovely Xmas spirit wearing his hat.

In general a very good meal. Generous portion of meat (lamb good, chicken average)unfortunately lacking in salad which is required to balance the dish. A slice of tomato and cucumber is not sufficient for a large meal, just personal preference. Would use again.

I've had way better from here in the past but tonight was really slow and the food was dangerously average. Curly fries were hard and cold. Salad in pitta was comprised of just lettuce, 2 bits of cucumber and 1 slice of sad tomato. Doner meat was anemic.

Pizza wasn't really upto standard at all, curly fries were okayish, burger was the only thing that was good but the cheese didn't even melt? Not very satisfying to be honest

Always good reliable food from this place and delivered very promptly. A+++

Not only was it late it was missing a doner wrap

Asked for it to arrive at 19:30. The Just Eat app told me it’d arrived at 19:40 (when it hadn’t). Called the takeaway, and was told my food was on route. Arrived at 19:55. Food wasn’t especially hot and the takeaway is located about 2 miles away. Not good but alright.

No Donna meat on Donna burger and a soggy bun. Fries were tough and chewy.

Arrived very late, even though stating delivery time would be 40 minutes. Food was cold by the time it got here

Chicken doner lacked flavour compared to usual and could have done with bit more chill sauce on the kebab.

Both kebabs turned up without garlic mayo but I had ordered them with. Didn’t enjoy the food without it

I asked for it cooked slightly longer because pizzas from here are often too soft and uncooked and it arrived black.

The food tasted really nice, I’m surprised to find a really nice kebab like this. I was expecting this to be cold due to how far the restaurant was but was in perfect temperature and condition! Would highly recommend and I will definitely be going here again.

Pizza was awful, probably the worst one I've ever tried.

Disappointing as ordered 2 large donner kebabs and 1 large chips had no sauce on as requested the delivery driver had no change I had 2 £20 notes he went bk to his car but he only had £5 note I thought he gave me £10 note realised when got bk in was £5 note couldn’t get hold of the shop kept going on voice Mail so paid £35 bit shocked by this tbh I did say the men could kept the change which would been £4 as he give me a note which was dark out side

The food was over an hour late when we rang the restaurant they said it would be 2 minutes when we went outside to collect it, it was left on the floor infront of our apartment building and was freezing cold

Very very nice..piping hot...delivered 20 mins early as well..it was a big order and everything was present..i had the mixed kebab which was massive and very delicious..would definitely recommend 10/10

Asked for an allocated time and this was met. Food was absolutely bang on, this is my regular kebab and it was next level on this occasion. There was so much doner kebab, decent amount of cheese on the chips. Just lush.

Awful order. Won’t be ordering again despite ordering from Ossi’s for over 2 years. Food was warm but was chewy and didn’t taste fresh despite being ordered as it opened. Barely any salad with the pitta, humous and salad.

Food wasn't delivered at all so can only assume it went to the wrong house. But I received no phone call when the driver was outside or knock on the door.

i ordered for 19.00 not 19.20 when it arrived the chips where over cooked very hard, the burger was the only edible thing i received. 1 good thing the coke was cold

I asked in the instructions to call me on whatssap because my phone isnt working or activate the tracker so I can see when you arrive and neither was done which is unfortunate for me.

The chips were terrible. Some of them were so hard they looked like they had been left drying out for days. Others were cooked several times. About 15% were completely inedible and would possibly have broken my teeth if I tried to eat them

We paid the driver cash on delivery - we ate our meal and the driver returned saying he had lost the ticket and cash!!!!!!!!!!!

Not quite sure what went wrong this evening, not the usual standard or charcoaled chicken, the chicken was awful looked cheap and reheated with a horrible taste, chips were they even cooked, pizza was perfect. Very unusual for yourselves as I always order from here either for takeaway or after a night out in the city. Will think again before ordering again

The quality and portion size of kebab becomes smaller and smaller

Driver just left our food outside of our door. We had no missed calls and the driver didn't even ring the door bell so when we looked food was stone cold. When we phoned up the man was so rude and not at all helpful, just blamed us for it happening. Disgusting customer service.

Kebab and breaded mushrooms were average, chips werent that great. Couldnt drink from the can as it tasted like cigarettes, was disgusting - obviously not kept in a clean area. Disappointed. Quick delivery was good.

Food took over an hour to get here, ordered a Donner Kebab Wrap with garlic & chilli sauce + a cheeseburger with burger sauce. Got a chicken kebab & a burger with chilli sauce. Neither of which were good quality. Would not recommend.

Low grade toppings and undercooked

Order paid for around 12.30am, it's now 3.35am and still waiting for my order which should have been delivered 1.45am, justeat says delivered at 1.50am, I've been sat at my window waiting and still no arrival. No contact from restaurant and no way of calling them. Now I think I've been done over for some hot food, I've checked the outside door in case the driver left it in the rain at the door but nothing there, this deserves compensation as I'm now out of pocket and hungrier from waiting so long

Great chicken burger. All hot, fresh and on time.

Alright i guess small portion chips with the half pounder burger meal like 15 to 20max where nice chips and my partners meal cheaper by the way had loads so i dont know. The box the burger was in was also super greasy but the food wasnt so maybe had it on a greasy unit, and the dr pepper is cheap tasting one. Apart from that its good.

Very tasty food. Perfect chicken donner! Excellent service and unbelievably quick delivery. Garlic sauce could be more garlicky and wraps served with chips for this price. Will definitely order again, thanks.

I ordered just a few things and from accepting my order to knocking on my door took 15 min it's insane how fast wow well done! Just the garlic bread tasted weird like gasoline so i bin that.

My food well I ask for tomato pure on my pizza and I got bbq I ask for burger sauce in my burger I got bbq didn’t taste nice never again

Went to collect the food and was told it would be ready at 20.30 arrived at the shop at 20.20 and my order was ready. The pizzas were very nice and they had put cheese on the chips but had ordered just regular chips.

I don’t know if it’s just me but ossi’s food used to be amazing and I just feel like the quality isn’t the same, had a pizza last night and was really looking forward to it but it just tasted off and bland. Everything arrived hot so can’t complain there and the delivery driver was friendly.
