Orkideh in Barnet

Su koobideh es el más auténtico, jugoso y sabroso de Londres. Mi lugar favorito para pedir koobideh. El restaurante es de ambientes más relajados, por lo que siempre nos llevan, pero su koobideh es 10 / 10. Su kebab en general es fantástico. No soy un fan de la pizza iraní, así que no hay comentarios allí, pero todo lo demás que he tenido allí ha sido excepcional! ¡Un establecimiento iraní que me encanta apoyar!

Many Persian restaurants serve cello kebab - the famous traditional Iranian grills. However orkideh also has Iranian style pizza and burgers. All the food was tasty a large pizza is around £20 and a mix grill for 4 persons is around £70, try it out.

Even though I have to travel to get to London, been to Orkideh twice within a week, the reason is the excellent Persian Kebabs they serve. I have tried all the kebab places in Finchley area and by far this was the best we had. Their succulent, tender and juicy diced lamb fillets with saffron rice is one of the best. Great food, fantastic service and great atmosphere. We really enjoyed the huge variety of choices to order.

The main business is mostly take out or delivery but there is also sit-in available. You need to bear in mind that it is more of a cafe setup than a fully fledged restaurant. Having said that, the Persian food that is served is very authentic and tasty.

Too expensive for salty rice and meat, they are trying to compensate you with free salads and drinks, please avoid this restaurant.

In normal times this small takeaway with seating would merit 5 stars because the food is excellent. However they behaved as if in total ignorance or denial of the Covid rules. The staff were all unmasked. We were the only customers on arrival and having ordered, our starters arrived (and were excellent) - but so did a party of 13 to fill the only other table 2 feet from ours. When we pointed the Covid rule breachest to the waiter we were smilingly ignored. We felt really unsafe. So gobbled a bit of our main course and asked for the rest to be put in doggie boxes and we beat a retreat.
