Been eating here for a while, food has always been delicious. Not this time, the crispy sweet and sour chicken looked like slops, and was soggy and tasted poor, the chicken with cashew nuts was ok but in a very small bowl, not up to usual standards, very disappointing!

I have bought from these guys many before, but yesterday was special. I have found a screw inside my pad ke mao! This place needs to be shut.. bought this via Uber eats

Was told the food would be ready in 45 minutes. Arrived at the pick up at the back of the restaurant and had to wait an additional 45 minutes on the freezing cold. Staff are unhelpful and rude. Eventually got the food and left. After all that waiting, the food was terrible - probably the worst Thai food I’ve ever had. Everything was soggy, stir fry was more like curry, rice wasn’t right and it all tasted disgusting. Threw it all away. Won’t ever go back! Avoid this place at all costs!

So the takeaway was messed up even we got home and no give, rang up and was told that they would send the other items to us in a car it is an 11 minute drive Then rang after 20 minutes and told yeah yeah the driver has left no apologies. After 45 minutes rang again good was now cold so didn’t really even want to eat it, got told the driver had left 5 minutes ago so he lied the first time. Asked for a refund and was told no can’t do that. Rude obnoxious man with no customer service. Never sgsin

When Origin Thai first opened, it was great, one of our favourites. In the last couple of years, we've used it only rarely as they cocked up orders, argued about things and used way too much salt to get flavour. I suspect a change of chef. Pity if so; the original was a nice guy and made great food. Fancied Thai food this evening, so we gave them another try. Mistake. Prices are up quite noticeably, but quality is down. Thin, watery massaman ('a rich coconut milk curry' with carrot that had seen better days), crispy duck was as much random gristle and fat as meat. Stir fry with peppers and prawn was okay, although I think not quite the ingredients on the menu. Sadly, Origin Thai will have to go back onto the "don't bother" list for a while :-(

As much as I’ve been a fan of the food for some time, I waited 3 hours for my food to arrive. Unfortunately my Tom Kha was sent through as a Tom Yum so not the order we placed. A bit disappointing but hope it will be better next time.

I don't know what they are doing at The Horse and Wells but the Thai food that they used to do was delicious. Regrettably, now it is very second rate.

We visited here as a friend with us recommended it. The food was amazing. I had the chicken pad Thai with vegetable spring rolls. Found myself looking at the menu after I’d eaten not because I was still hungry ( portion sizes are impressive!) but because I knew I’d have to go back as soon as possible! Great value for lunch or dinner!

On recommend several different friends I tried this pub restaurant with my hubby one Friday Evening in June. I’ve since been back twice in the space of a fortnight! Again with husband and then again with adult son. Delicious and fresh food. Reasonably priced too. Only downside is the very noisy pub, and the fact you need cash to pay for meal.

We always love being able to leave positive reviews for good food. This, however, isn’t possible with this takeaway. Absolutely dreadful food. The soups were just salty liquid with little in them (we ordered Tom Kha mushroom and also seafood, and Tom Yum mushroom. The salt & Pepper squid was soggy and bland. The Jungle curry was basically salty liquid and the Teryaki salmon wasn’t sweet & sticky but again salmon floating in liquid. The only relatively acceptable dishes were the rice and the vegetarian massaman curry. As the meal was over £55 we feel absolutely robbed. We will order Thai on Tuesdays - Saturdays from Phetrin. Admittedly they are very slow, but the food is so much better. Disgraceful

Was very impressed by a recent visit here, ive since ordered a few takeaways and they have also been good quality which is always hard for a takeway to keep the same quality and consistency. the pad thai was good, and the thai curries are nice, a little spicy for my wife- but all in all a good place- hope they keep up the quality and consistency.

What a lovely surprise. Our friend found it by accident, while waiting for her Lexus to be serviced next door. Hot and spicy (we asked for Thai taste) it was all great. Lovely setting helped by a sunny day. Friendly service too.

I have been ordering take away from this Thai restaurant for many weeks now and they have yet to serve a bad dish. I don’t understand why this restaurant receives such bad reviews despite the food they serve. I would personally recommend to anyone that enjoys quality Thai food.

We have eaten here before and decided to order a takeaway on Sunday evening. My partner told an employee 4x the postcode and address, they called twice and confirmed that they were lost. Upon arrival we were charged 54 pound, the driver said he only had 3 pound change like this was my issue. Food was cold and Thai beef salad not too dissimilar to cardboard. The curry was good, along with the fish but all cold and not a single apology. An expensive and disappointing way to finish the weekend.

We have eaten there several times before and have always been pleased but this time it was a bit of a letdown. We ordered Pad Thai that regrettably was very overcooked. The tiger prawn and satay chicken sides were good but the main was very poor. When the waitress asked us if everything was ok, I told her it was very overcooked and she mumbled something and walked away.

I ordered tempura prawns which it was nice and simple and jungle curry which I expected to come with rice being basically a soup just curry and very spicy. The plastic containers were Okay but inside they didn't refurbish of any wipes, napkins or plastic cutlery. I expected a better presentation of the food. Overall quality food it’s average.

This was a surprise discovery and a good one at that. Thai fish cake starter was followed by a very good beef dish. The fresh ingredients really boosted what was already a good dish. Service was quick and friendly. This is worth another visit.

Found this by chance with my workmates recently during the world cup.Was packed solid during the England games great selection of lagers and Guinness was spot on. They do a great Thai food selection from snacks to a full dinner if you are hungry enough.The staff are a lovely bunch and always make you feel very welcome.A home from home experience!

Came on a Saturday evening, had a drink first in the pub before having food in the outside area and it did not disappoint!. Food was amazing, best Thai we have ever had and I can’t believe we only just discovered it. So reasonably priced we will be back. Drink prices and atmosphere in the pub good too.

This was a first time visit and we ordered the squid and chicken wings to start. Squid was lovely, wings were poor. The mains were absolutely FAB! Prices are reasonable as it’s in a pub and I was really happy with the taste and quality of the food. I’d say including a drink and starter it’s around £20 a head which is really good.

I'm a regular visitor to the Horse and Well and always eat from the Origin Thai Kitchen, and I can honestly say, in the months eating here, I've never had a disappointing meal.

We received a warm welcome and as it was cold outside we sat near a radiator. The tables were clean and tidy and the floor clean.

We went here for birthday family lunch celebration and ordered a selection of starters for x10 of us. Everything arrived quickly and was hot and tasty. Pub itself is not overly cosy but bar lady was friendly and welcoming. Would go back again.

Sorry to say first and last takeaway order.

Its a pub Horse and Well. But the food is lovely thai food to die for. NOT expensive. Must come back . Boxed up the left overs for tomorrow .

My 2nd time ordering from Thai Kitchen. Twice I have placed my order via JustEat with 45 mins delivery and twice it has been over 40 mins late.

I first started using this take away shortly after the opened and was very satisfied in deed with the food and service. Lately I have been ordering a Chicken Yellow curry and what I have been sent is a red curry. The last time this happened my Thai Cleaner came in the next day and tasted the sauce and said it was a red curry. She also has worked as a cook in a Thai restaurant. I have spoken to them about this and the last occasion I received a yellow curry. Tonight I received a red curry and the manager whom I spoke to said it was a red curry. I think I will return to ordering food from Pat Pong in Chingford where I know I will get a yellow curry

This is the second time we have eaten at the Horse and Wells and as of last time we were not disappointed. They have now a under-cover decking area so you can still eat outside, away from the traffic noise, but still be sheltered from the elements.

Visited origins on sat 2nd sept with (the other half") on a friends recommendation and have to say we were not disappointed,the "salt and pepper squid "starter was plentiful and very tasty and the beef massaman was more than a generous portion.

Some of the best Thai food I've had in London. We've eaten it both in the pub, with friends who agreed it's great, and at home from delivery. Superb flavours, really good tempura. This chef knows their stuff.

The best Thai food that I have had - the coconut soup is delicious - and the Phad ke Moao is both hot and delicious...my fish version was full of seafood.

Food is ordered at the bar in the pub and you will eat at a pub table, not a restaurant. What a delight though when the food is brought to you. This is the BEST Thai food that I have had. First time I simply wanted a snack with my beer and ordered Chicken Satay. It was cooked to perfection. Subsequently I've had the Green Curry and it's delicious. They do take away too.

About 10 of us popped in one lunchtime for a pre-booked lunch and ordered a selection of food.

What super , and I am told absolutely authentic , Thai food. Returned again and just delighted with the coconut soups and noodles.

This is absolutely excellent Thai food. We took family members you had enjoyed food in Thailand and they were very impressed. Everything we had was exceptionally tasty including the coconut soup Thom Kha and the Phad ke Mao (hot). The Massaman curry was also delicious.

Located in the Horse & Well it has a good friendly pub atomsphere, there are TV's and a pool table also an small outside seating area out the front and the back.
