Oriental Chef in Rotherham

Possibly the worst Chinese food if you could call it that I’ve ever tried. All food was cold, the chicken tasted off, the sauce was watered down to the point of not having any taste, dry rice the list goes on. Had to throw it all away! Complete waste of money and time.

Once again brilliant food really tasty! My favourite local Chinese by far. Friendly delivery driver with fast delivery! A hidden gem will certainly order again.

Disgusting and dissatisfied. Sauces watered down, meat fatty and tough. Rice so dried out it's like sand. Waste of money.

The rice was dry the chow mein was dry the chips were dry and chewy. It almost tasted like it had been reheated. £60 wasted as most of it got thrown away.

Always lovely food and whilst I’ve seen some reviews that say otherwise you have to give it a try for yourself as we’ve never had a problem and the service is very quick

Used to be amazing. The last two times the rice (Egg fried & Chicken Fried) has been hard. Really not pleasant. Shame really.

Worst Chinese I ever had! Couldn’t eat the sweet and sour chicken had gooey bits in and didn’t taste of anything. Chicken fried rice tasted like boil in the bag rice - dry

App didn't update to tell me it was going to be late either.

The beef curry and the curry sauce tasted like water.

the wing mirror on our car was knocked off by the delivery driver. she told my wife when handing over the food. I've tried to reattach it to no avail in the dark and reported to the takeaway over an hour ago. they didn't seam too bothered but said they'd speak with the driver and call back. I've still had no call back since 6.10 pm when I called.

Rice wormed up and not egg fried! Then driver had a go at me because he struggled to fined the address 🤔seemed very easily confused and frustrated

The phone staff do not listen to important directions to find properties on deliveries. No idea way! If you know what dishes are good then you can have a good meal. Had a Prawn dish and frankly if a professional chef cooked it they should be sacked - very very poor, should be ashamed. Once complained and didn't order for sometime afterwards: when I did reorder, possibly a year later (thought i'd give them another chance) the member staff remembered our conversation and said "ooooo I thought you didn't like our food??!!" Very unprofessional, amateur half-hour springs to mind. Come on people: try harder. It's too tough out there to make elementary errors!

Poor quality food, the duck was dry, the beef ribs were dry, spring rolls tasteless and noodles had no flavour with dry meat

Meal OK but prawn crackers were old and chewy not good will look elsewhere in future and prices gone up

Don’t do delivery driving for this company, owners are very rude and leave you with no pay after delivering food for 5 hours because they can’t count.

I ordered crispy aromatic duck, which is over a tenner, and it was omitted from my delivery. This is very annoying as there is no way to claim a refund.

Food hot , chips nice chicken chilli nice but the rice dishes were uneatable , tasted old ,dry and like rubber ,shame as normally really nice from here

I ordered this for when i finished work at 19:30. It got delivered at 18:20. The wife was told by the driver to microwave it when i got in

Absolutely fabulous as always! Piping hot, tasty and their crispy tofu is honestly the best I’ve ever had. Would highly recommend, get a lot for the price too!

Salt and pepper starters are fantastic but the mains we ordered, chicken in Mandarin Sauce and deep fried shredded chicken were so sweet they were inedible. My shedded chicken was so sweet it tasted like eating sugar puffs - horrible and went straight in the bin. Complete waste of money. If you like really sweet food this may by for you but it’s defiantly not like any other Chinese meal I have ever had.

Should be called oriental Karen’s, don’t fault the food one bit it’s lovely but past two night I’ve ordered and they got my order wrong and the custom service and the staffs approach is foul

Terrible. No flavour, half a dozen pieces of chicken in the chow mein and barely any chips for £4.50 in the salt and pepper chips box! Really disappointed as always order from here but tonight was terrible

Lovely food and quick delivery however it says free prawn crackers for over £15 so I didn’t order any but didn’t get the prawn crackers on a £15.70 order

Food always tasty and hot. Delivery always early, although we do tend to order early in the evening when it's quieter. We have food from here all the time, and mever had a bad meal or the wrong order delivered. Can't recommend enough.

Nice flavour but noodles in the chow mein were chewy with no bean sprouts. The delivery bloke was really off putting. Wouldn't give me my order until he'd had a moan about me ordering my meal from just eat. Not the first time.

Salt n Pepper chips on point, chow mein super tasty and sauce was great. Skewers chicken was good quality and nice sweet tasting, curry was a lil spicy but super tasty.

We had a large order this teatime, every dish was superb. Can praise them enough, everything was delicious and ready on time. Thank you!

Food is always lovely from here but the last couple of orders have been incredibly salty. Still good quality but way too much salt. Please keep your hands away from the salt/msg shaker.

Ordered tonight had salt and pepper chicken and salt and pepper chips and it was just covered in salt that’s all you could taste, and when rang up all they said is next time you order ask them to not put as much salt on, not very helpful and won’t be ordering again

Ordered via Just Eat ... 20 mins after confirmation should have been given we had received no contact from them ..... they posted no more orders tonight .... again without contacting us ,,, When i called they denied i had ever placed an order but Just Eat confirmed the order had been taken ... We got our money back .... IF you actually want some food keep away from this lot ...

Usually order and collect and food has always been fantastic. However ordered for delivery and was disappointed. Order was 35 minutes later than expected and Food was thrown at me from the door, chips was stone cold. Rest of order was hot but could tell things had been left a while. Will only collect from now on.

Disgusting!!! The chow main came burnt no flaver, the rice was disgusting! Had to wait 2 hours for the food after ordering at 6! It came at 8pm!!! You have lost our custom!

We had our first delivery from here a couple of weeks ago. Absolutely wonderful. Competitive prices obviously but so, so tasty. Quick delivery. Superb so far. Gonna give 'em another try tonight. Wish they had a menu on screen.
