Oregano in Belfast

Fantastic place!! The most authentic and tastiest greek gyro ive had. Would go to cyprus to get tasty gyro and this is the next best thing. Really hope they expand and get a few more open.

Just got a gyro on chips delivered hardly any chicken a bit ov salad drenched in chilly souce to hide the fact there was no chicken when phoned to complain was told to contact just eat the problem wasn't with the delivery but with the food ask for it to be replaced was told they couldn't do it never use this place again

Tiny little takeaway you could nearly miss, but I picked up a Chicken Gyros here yesterday on my way back to Ballycastle and was amazed at just how good it was. All the ingredients, including the wonderful pitta were fresh and tasty, chicken was superb as well as the homemade seasoned fries. Absolutely must try if you like Kebab/Gyros.

First time ordering from this resto and here’s my honest feedback: 1. Delicious and well presented mixed platter 2. Side salad and sauces are delicious ( chilli sauce is a bit salty) 3. Grilled chicken is delicious but also little salty 4. Loved their fries! 5. Forgot to mention the staff ( well mannered over the phone) and delivery guy. 👏 really polite Thank you Oregano. This is an authentic (and probably the only) Greek food I had in Belfast!

Place has seriously went to the dogs. Chicken is completely disgusting and chips cold.

1st time trying, we got the mixed platter (No Pork) with Hallumi and it was just WOW.... The food was absolutely gorgeous, so fresh and delivery wad fast. We will definitely order again

We tried here for the first time tonight and had the sharing platter for two. The food was unbelievable- beautiful Greek salad, amazing meats and the dessert with kinder bueno sauce was to die for. This was one of our favourite meals this year! We will definitely be back and telling all our friends about this little gem. Staff were really friendly too 👏

Absolutely obsessed with this place for ages. According to deliveroo I’ve had over 15 orders, I’m waiting on food from here as I write this 😂 I don’t know what you do to your halloumi but it is so flavourful and just melt in the mouth. My autistic child who doesn’t like ANYTHING will eat the chicken skewers from here every single time! Costas is very very helpful and has great customer service!

Cannot recommend this place highly enough! We had chicken souvlaki, chicken gyros and mixed bbq platter. Absolutely divine and as good as what we were eating in Skiathos this summer. I found out about it through a review on Instagram and it exceeded all of my expectations. 😊

First time ordering, food was great, though did order a pitta but when go home wasn't there, anyway would recommend, food is fresh and tasty.

this is hands down the BEST takeaway place ive ever tried. i have ordered this multiple times (i cant stop ordering) because everything about it is perfection. i especially LOVE the 1/4 beef and halloumi burger and their frappes! this is a very underrated business and i 100% recommend anyone to go.

Probably the only place, I would recommend for a fresh and highly favourable takeway for the money. I ordered the meal for 2 and loukamades. Absolute huge pile of food, wonderfully seasoned between all the different types of meat. The oregano seasoned chips were amazing. Tzatziki was super fresh and had a nice crunchy bite too it. Was a bit skeptical ordering the spicy cheese sauce, but the feta and chili in the sauce was to die for!

Called tonight and I have to say this is the best gyros I have had outside of Greece! Staff were very friendly and the man who I assume was the owner couldn’t have been nicer. Said it would be the best coffee (freddo cappuccino) in Northern Ireland and he was right! Highly recommend ⭐️

We love Greek food so when we seen this place we had to try it. It did not disappoint, fresh and tasty. I would only mark it down for being in Belfast and having to come over from Donaghadee - but that wouldn’t be fair. Definitely give this place a go it’s worth the travel 😆

I had such great hopes here from a recommendation and great customer service in advising what was gluten free for my wife. Most of the order was spot on and as you'd expect but when chicken was cut into it was clear that it was raw. It is chicken thigh which is more difficult to gauge but this was undoubtedly beyond a safe level of cooked. Such a shame as there were some good things here.

10/10 fresh food and service. Highly recommend.

We wanted chicken gyros and chips, and we got chicken gyros and chips! The scent of oregano hit me as soon as I opened the box. The tzatziki was deliciously authentic and the chicken had plenty of flavour. I’ll order pitta with it next time. The only thing missing was a frosty glass of Mythos/Alfa/Fix to wash it all down. We’ll be back soon.

OMG, outstanding is all I can say about Oregano. You will not be disappointed at all. Great food and I will most definitely be getting from here again in the future FACT..

Very delicious gyros with chicken. The best garlic mayo dip I've ever tried in Belfast. The fries were well seasoned, different than usual, so it was a nice change from those served in other restaurants. Whenever I walked by in the evening, I could feel the wonderful smell of grilled food. Very tasty dishes.

Went and ordered in shop, staff were lovely and lovely atmosphere, heard loads of good things and read loads of reviews so couldn't wait to try. Got the shared platter, the dips were unreal, had the garlic and chilli and chilli cheese perfect balance and flavours, The two parcels of meat were fatty, nice flavour but tough and couldn't eat, Chips were nice, salad was covered with oil, which made it very oily and greasy to eat, dough balls with sauce... were okay, nice when you got a soft Doagh ball, but most were very hard and couldn't eat Honestly disappointed, really looked forward to the experience and what everyone talks about but unfortunately didn't get that level of food and satisfaction with my order.

Second time, first time was very much impressed with the food (lived in Greece). All day was looking forward to a beautiful gyro as last one so good! Disappointed to say the least. Food was stone cold. Chips has been reheated and not ateable. Chicken soulvaki platter- waste of £11, wondered were the rest of the meat was & Halloumi gyros- save your money £12 for 9 little pieces of halloumi, side order chips, small side salad and a bit of bread- bread was hard. Couldn't even make a gyro if wanted to! Not what I expected and a waste of £32! Very disappointed. Called twice after food was delivered and was told no one was there to sort this out. £32 later, food unateable and now having to cook something.

Excellent quality and quantity food!

Wonderful authentic Greek food, you can smell the charcoal grill from a few streets away. Lovely to have something high quality and different somewhere that's not the city center.

Possibly nicest food I have had in years.

Having tried "authentic" Greek food in Belfast before, I didn't have the highest expectations, but this was honestly a taste of home (Spetses) and I instantly wanted to go back for more. Everything was amazing! We will definitely be back with yiayia and pappou in tow. I can't rate this place highly enough, it was well worth the drive down from the north coast. Ευχαριστώ πολύ είναι πολύ νόστιμο!

The food and service are amazing. If travelling home, drop off the motorway and pick up your dinner. Healthy and very tasty. Fantastic.

Great wee spot. Food always the same. Owner is a great guy and everyone is friendly in there.

Absolutely incredible and stands head and shoulders above the rest. Everything about the food screams authentic and the portions are generous to say the least. They are humble and thankful for ordering on the phone, and deliver the best Greek food for miles around.

I move over here from New Zealand and there’s a lot of good Greek food there. I couldn’t find any proper good Greek food but this it’s the best thing I’ve found of Greek food the chicken is amazing and you can watch them shave there other meet. Would highly recommend.

Fabulous fresh food. Our server was lovely and well presented. The food was hot, plentiful, and delicious. This was our first visit and can say it won't be our last visit. Food is very reasonably priced.

The best Greek takeaway in Belfast. Ask for Konstantinos and he'll put together a pitta with your preferred combinations of ingredients!

Can't understand all the hype about this place,chicken gyros nothing special, wouldn't rush back

I got the mixed grill (no pork) platter and the chicken Gyros. Really nice. I liked the sauces and tzatziki. The only thing I would change is the bread. It’s too thick dry and dense. Highly appreciate that they gave the option to have the mixed platter without pork! The chips were lovely - they had a really nice seasoning on them!

it is a takeaway place food is good! I would like to meet the owner as a cypriot abroad but he was not there. In general food is authentic and cooked properly! If you want greek food order from there :) Pork Gyros was like shredded instead of having a nice cut and a bit too salty in general. loukoumades were good and crispy but too small comparing to the authentic ones

Really terrific food, pleasantly different but generous, authentically tasty and nice folk behind the counter. The chicken souvlaki was amazing, definitely include in your order! Top spot for Greek food!

Cannot get enough of this place, the food is always perfect. I really recommend the Mixed Grill Platters, the meat is always cooked to perfection and good sized portions that are always hard to finish. Pair that with some tzatskiki and you'll be in heaven! Great staff and service and the owner, Costa, is an absolute legend! Incredibly friendly guy any time I visit, no matter how busy he is!

First time trying here had an issue ordering on-line but was sorted out when I visited the shop. Ordered the platter for 2 to try a few different items but when I got home found out that there was no pittas with it, tried repeatedly to call the shop and even left a txt message but was ignored!! Good food spoiled by bad service

Went there on Friday night to try it after hearing good things from a colleague. The food was great - we had pork gyros platter, chicken souvlaki platter and the loukades (dough balls) with pistachio sauce. Both fillings were well seasoned, the flatbreads soft and the chips (part of the platter) were crispy and covered in herbs. The only disappointment was the milkshake which felt very watery and nowhere near as thick and luxurious as I was expecting for the price. Other than that though we've no complaints and we will be ordering again at some point.

Recently the victim of going viral! Food is amazing, staff in great spirits despite being hellishly busy. Well well worth the wait. I got a mixed grill with the spicy cheese dip and it was absolutely delicious - well seasoned and tender meat, grilled to perfection.

Just had our first meal from here we love Greek food. Where do I start we got pork and chicken Gyros platters meat was ok chips were soggy pita was yuck garlic sauce was basic tzatziki was just ok not worth the money.

After seeing it on tiktok, thought I would give it a go even if I had to travel 15mins. Have to say that I’m disappointed, half of my order was missing, and food wasn’t as expected at all. It’s a shame that u can’t find a decent Greek takeaway/restaurant in Belfast. Won’t be back.

Just had a takeaway and I’m really disappointed because was missing the salad . The food is good and very tasty but is not the same without the crunchiness of the salad just chips and meat not what I wanted . Was really looking forward to try the food but again I will be back but really need to show my disappointment . Thanks

Ordered delivery from their app. Unfortunately it was an hour and 30 minutes late. The food was amazing, however. Really tasty and packed full of flavour. When it arrived to me, it was still slightly warm but I assume getting it straight from the restaurant itself would be better. Update: I have decided to amend my review after ordering from them again. Once again, I ordered delivery from their app but this time, the food arrived in just under 40 minutes. As before, the food was an excellent quality and immensely flavourful. I've updated my score to 4 stars. If I could do 4.5, I would. Thank you for replying and I'm glad to say I already think you have become more efficient. I look forward to ordering from you again soon.

Absolutely amazing food! Was our first time trying oregano and will definitely be back again. Can not fault the service. Took a little time waiting too collect but the food is definitely worth the wait. Thank you again too the staff who definitely earned there wages yesterday. 😊

I had to wait almost an hour for food (not their fault, an influencer had done a story about them leading to CRAZY demand) and I'm still leaving a 5 star review. That's how good the food is! Finally someone in Belfast not doing a standard donor kebab. LOVE IT

Got the chicken gyros and was incredibly delicious and a fantastic value. A food blogger posted about them and it went viral (over 40,000 views) so by the sounds of it, things were very chaotic there tonight as they probably got a lot more business than they’re used to and they’re only newly opened! Will definitely be back but would say maybe best to go in person while it’s very busy/they’re new. Can’t say enough about how good the food was.

Amazing food and amazing staff.

We had takeaway from Oregano after noticing it opening recently. I had the chicken gyros with spicy cheese sauce, which was delicious with the fries inside of it! He had the platter and reports all of the meats were well cooked and moist. We had sides of the Greek salad and pita bread with hummus and both were delicious, even the next day. We had enough for dinner the next night too. We had katifi for dessert and it was delicious again. Can’t fault these guys, well worth a try, for authentic Greek food with quality ingredients as opposed to a mediocre kebab.

Amazing food, especially the gyros. I have eaten gyros in Athens and many other Greek islands over the years, and can confirm that the gyros at Oregano tastes just as authentic. Very fast and friendly service as well. 100% recommend.

I have walked past Oregano most nights since it opened walking the dog. It always smells amazing. Finally gave in and ordered tonight. Greek Salad was so fresh and was able to have it with no peppers. I had Halloumi Cheese Kebab, thankfully no peppers or onions as it should be, I hate peppers, and partner had Chicken Gyros and loukoumades and biscoff all so fresh and tasted amazing, nice to have authentic Greek food literally at the end of the street from us so will be back. Maybe even next Friday 🤣
