ONYX public bar and restaurant in Weymouth and Portland

Absolutely brilliant place, food, terrific, atmosphere is great, and the staff are a credit to the hotel, the bar is like the local you wish you had

Cold as the main doors have a nice blast of cold air permanently

Good food and huge portions, couldn't finish my home made steak and ale pie with new potatoes (or chips) cabbage, peas all for £11.95, great value.

Nice little bar in a hotel. Handy if you're staying there.

I'm so sorry, I really must remember to take photos of the meals ! Yet again I've been caught up with the meal looking so nice that I just wanted to get on with eating it. We had gammon,chips and salad. I had egg with mine Sue had pineapple, these gammon steaks were huge "12oz" and I must say the chips were nice n' hot salad was fresh and crisp. We had black forest gateau with cream but I fancied custard and it was no problem to change it, drinks ? I had 2 pints of draught Guinness, Sue had a shandy. Total price was £ 55.60 had a great time and a great meal. In those famous words "I'll be back" ........

Good quality home made food, friendly staff and speedy service. Also very well priced. What's not to like?

Found this gem of a hotel ,whilst wanting a late Dinner, walked into the Onyx Hotel to a lovely friendly welcome, Hubby happy, they serve Timothy Taylor beer ,we had a roast chicken dinner trimmings and veg , cooked to perfection ,well pleased 😁
