Great atmosphere, service good and food quality exceptional

Por lo general, evite como en una esquina y lleno de hombres jóvenes en una noche de fiesta. Era un lunes por la tarde y fuimos atraídos por la junta publicitando un almuerzo especial. Algunos clientes mayores, un padre y un hijo pequeño - el lugar era tranquilo. Madera. Cabinas. Una sensación clásica. Ahora venía el problema, las comidas anunciadas venían con Pepsi, café, té, vino, Carlsberg - ninguno de los cuales tenían. Guinness o limonada gaseosa era todo lo que se ofrecía. Un anuncio de acciones. Así que la limonada era con cerdo y puerro bangers y puré en salsa de whisky que era suculento y gammon / huevos / piña / patatas fritas / guisantes perfectamente a la parrilla.

Had the Mighty Meaty burger. It had done kebab in. OMG! So nice, full of flavour. Good range of drinks. I had the Punk IPA, which I love. Staff were really friendly & helpful.

Great staff, very attentive. Moved us to a table where we can watch the sports.

Nice pub it's a shame staff spent all evening hanging decorations during work hours. Slamming ladders and dragging them on the tiles. No need and very disruptive to customers.

Always 5 stars, the staff already know what I would like to drink before I’ve even sat down.

Was in there recently with friends and the customer service was amazing and friendly and welcoming and the table service was incredibly fast. Made the experience even better so credit to all the staff and management making the place function. Highly recommend and will 100% be back there again. 10/10!

Best sports bar in reading. Watching the champions league and the girls made sure our drinks were never empty

So I visited Oneils and was greeted by a member of staff, Adam. Great customer service, very helpful. I went in for a snack and drink with a mate and to watch the footie. Adam was the perfect host, thank you Adam

The mighty meaty burger is the best burger I’ve had in ages would definitely recommend it to have. The service was exceptional even though the lady was training a new employee. We use O’Neills to eat when we visit Reading.

Haven't eaten here yet. However, menu looks good and reasonably priced. Security and service is amazing, Good atmosphere and great to hear some live music. First experience was a hit, I look forward to returning.

Me and my Friend had the 12.99 for Two meals . We had the Cider battered fish and chips with peas and tarter sauce . Couldn’t believe it when we saw the plates the fish was enormous and loads of chips and very tasty and hot , All washed down with pints of Guinness. Service from staff was great . Will be coming Again .

Went to watch the rugby on the weekend. Busy and plenty of people around, so luckily we had prebooked a table. Good view of the TV, but music was playing so couldn't listen to the game like we had wanted. Table service is great through app and the wait staff.

Ordered a single shot of spirit/mixer and a Peroni and came £14+, not what I was expecting. Walk down the road and there is a Wetherspoons. Didn’t order food but there was the option of two mains for £12.50 which had a burger and fish/chips listed on it.

Were pushed out today by a load of under age kids from the festival who brought their own drinks in. The manager let them all in and turned the telly over to the football without any options to the regulars who were actually buying drinks from the bar. We approached the manager, who didn't care less

They loud music will get customers in, I think it had opposite effects. The music was poor compared to other bars. This used have good live bands but went to disco, which was pretty dire.

Very disappointing steak sandwich that is overpriced rubbery and tough meat shoved instead a small role with cheese. Service however is great but food a let down.

This is an O'Neill's. It works exactly as expected. High point is the staff here, who are friendly and balance efficiency with conversation well.

Dropped in for a drink on Friday and there was a band playing - Bloomfield Avenue - and had a great night. Band was brilliant, playing classic rock hits to dance to. Staff also very efficient. Great night. Highly recommend if you want a Friday night boogie!
