One Love Caribbean Restaurant & Take Away in Barking and Dagenham

I ordered 3 large chicken soups, this is the first time I’ve been to a carribean shop where the staff was friendly, with right amount of chicken, dumplings and potatoes. I waffed down the food so fast I forgot to take a picture. I live in Wanstead and will definitely be making the journey frequently to have their food. Pls don’t change!

We all had a lovely time and really enjoyed the tasty food 😊 at One love, the waitress who served us (I don't know her name unfortunately but I'm sure she knows who she is 😊) was really nice, patient and always had a smile on her face plus nothing was too much to do when we asked her, she also kept making sure we had everything. We went there for Mother's day and we all had a amazing time, the table was nicely done up and there were balloons all above our seating area which was a lovely touch. I certainly recommend going there for a lovely experience and delish food!! they also do delivery so if you are within their delivery zone try some of their food!! We will certainly be back for birthday celebrations throughout the year!

Ive tried their curry goat, jerk chicken, and soup The soup was amazing. Must try The curry goat was so tender and flavourful The jerk was also nice and had a little kick to it Their cakes are also very nice!

I would like to give one love in Romford a very big thank you. For seeing 100 people was feed. After we only gave them 24 hours notice to catered for over a 100 people.. Having less than 24 hours to make 11 dishes for 110 people!!!! The quality, service and support was outstanding to say the least and It did not disappoint! We could not have done it without you!!!! I have been eating in and taking out from one love for years and can honestly say its the best authentic Caribbean food iv eaten. I booked them for a very special occasion last week and from start to finish the service was unreal. Extremely professional, helpful and sympathetic with the circumstances and was an unbeatable price considering it was for 100 people. When they arrived for the service I didn't hear a peep out of them, they set up and served with no fuss or problems. You made it all that easier. Your team and food is impeccable. My first time at one love and I was impressed The food tasted fresh and the festivals were fluffy inside, light & crisp outside; when eating the jerk chicken I noticed it had the perfect amount of hotness and plenty of sauce I would definitely come back 😁

Firstly I would like to say the One Love owner is a lovely lady and the customer service here is great. I have been coming to One Love for many years so would like to call myself a regular customer. Unfortunately the last few times I have ordered the food standard has changed, I am a huge jerk chicken lover so tend to always order this, recently I have found the chicken to be dry and does not taste like it has been cooked on a Jerk Pan which I have always appreciated, the portion size of meat is not the same and I am always given breast whereas in the past it was always a leg and thigh (which is my personal preference). The BBQ wings are great and I'm sure many other things are too. I would give a high rating because I genuinely believe this may be a change in chef or ingredients so I hope this is seen as constructive and wish the business all the best always x

We hired the team for our wedding. Communication throughout was amazing with Sharna. She made us feel at ease from the beginning to the end. But boy, If I could give One Love Caribbean restaurant more than five stars, I absolutely would! The food was an absolute explosion of flavours, each dish bursting with the authentic taste of Jamaica. The curried goat was rich and savoury, cooked the true authentic Jamaican way, not to mention the fried chicken, the best so far. However, what truly elevated this dining experience was the exceptional service we received, courtesy of the remarkable manager and staff who went above and beyond to ensure that my experience was exceptional. we love this place. Do recommend calling in advance to check what’s on the menu for the day as popular items sell out fast or not offered and there is no notice given unless you ask. Given the quality of food it won’t stop you from coming back. Only done takeaway.

How am I buying a large curry chicken then it come like one kids meal, cool she fixed it and put more rice. Get home now me and my 3 year old son eating then his saying it’s very spicey dad, tell me why some put me extra chilli in my food the ting was HOT FOR MY mouth imagine my son. All because I ask for proper large lol try be wicked and put extra extra chilli. I won’t ever be buying food from you one love. Remember jah knows what wickedness you done.

Some of the items on the menu were no longer available (18:30)...therefore having to choose from a reduced menu and selecting what was not your first choice. Having said that the food was of a good quality...the fried dumplings were far too "sweet".

First time ordering from One Love, the Oxtail is amazing, cooked perfectly. The rice and peas taste just like home made. My son wasn't enjoying the hospital food and now he has tasted this he wants more. Portion size perfect and the price is good too. 10* The girl who took the order was so nice and patient as my reception was poor. The delivery driver was kind and friendly. Can't get better than this!!!! Will 100% order again before my son gets discharged from here.

First time ordering from this restaurant. Call handler was pleasant over the phone, unfortunately they didnt have the oxtail or curry goat so i opted for the jerk chicken and rice. Customer service was also good in person which iwas a bonus. The chicken and jerk sauce was full of flavour and the rice and peas where made just right. The whole meal was delicious. The dumplings were also great. Definitely coming back here and highly recommended for this area⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Just had two Fish Cakes at £1.50 each. I cannot begin to explain how EXTREMELY tasty these were. Compliments to the chef. Genuinely one of those best treats (if not the best) I've had in the last 20 years of living in East London. I won't lie, if it wasn't for my diet, I'd eat 6 of them. My mouth is still watering. God bless the chef!

Ordered the jerk chicken and oxtail. Was really tasty and good portion size. Was disappointed that plantains were not available on the day, and the meal didn't come with any sides, just rice. Also difficult to find parking nearby.

we were very disappointed by this restaurant because no one came to ask us what we wanted after 30 minutes of waiting and finally the dishes were reheated in the microwave!!!

I recently used One Love Caribbean catering services for a funeral wake. The staff and service provided were very professional, well organised and the food was received well by attendees. The pricing was reasonable, this was reflected well in the invoice breakdown. I would definitely recommend using One Love catering services and will be using them again. I’m very frustrated at the customer service I received today. I was very hungry, came inside and the lady that served me had an attitude as if to say she could not be bothered. I left, came back as I thought let me just order anyway and I see her being jolly and polite to an ‘uncle’ customer. I thought this would mean I would get similar service but I was wrong. She reverted back to her lazy attitude as if to say she did not want to serve me. This need to improve as I am not happy at all, clearly she did not want my money.

I used One Love restaurant for a 60th birthday surprise based on a simple google search and reviews. I had a lot of great comments regarding the food - it tasted so good! One Love Restaurant as a whole and Shana delivered as promised great food and great professionalism in helping host this party of 60 people. Short notice and seem less process from ordering to delivery. I will certainly use again and will dine in as a family for a Sunday meal very soon. Thanks team One Love and Shana.

Local family run Caribbean restaurant, food is consistently tasty and by far best west Indian restaurant this part of town. Better order early or what you want will be sold out which is testament to their food. look forward to returning soon

I booked One Love with only 2 days notice to cater for 20 people for my husband’s 60th birthday. Shana was both prompt and professional with her communication and the food was delivered ahead of time. I honestly can’t thank you guys enough. Shame for such a good busy restaurant to always run out of your favourite items. Sadly this is a regular occurrence. A big disappointment to drive there to be told minimum food available and this is at 5pm !! how can you stay open until 11 pm ?

Meal is generally good, especially the chicken soup we had. Available are all the typical meals you find in a Jamaican restaurant. Hard food is also available, which tend not to be the case at many Jamaican/restaurant outside of london.

Best Caribbean food in Essex! I don't write reviews but after phoning to pay my compliments after being Very satisfied, I've decided to share.....The food is authentic and very tasty, it's well seasoned and cooked to perfection, curry goat, hard food, vegetables, ackee and saltfish, rice and peas. Everything was cooked just right. Generous caribbean portion sizes and reasonably priced, served by family friendly staff. What more do you want! I've been supporting my local people since they opened and my only criticism sometimes is that the food choices run out quickly, but I guess it's because of all the above. Well done guys and compliments to the chef and the One love family/crew!!

Not had Caribbean until you’ve had one love! Best in Essex, hands down. Always freshly made and jam packed with flavour. Oxtails ridiculously nice with sublime curry goat. I do however feel like their patties could be better, texture get so hard after left for a while.

At this point I saw the One Love Restaurant so I took the plunge and went inside for the first time. I am very please to have bought the food. I really enjoyed eating the food.
