Service, food, style, cleanliness all 5 star. Really can't wait to eat at the new venue opening this year. The steaks are out of this world. The Wagyu beef incredible. Won't eat steaks anywhere else now.

Ordered Sunday lunch delivery, fabulous meal and service, fresh veg none of that horrible frozen stuff, the meat was lean and plentiful large yorkshire pudding amd excellent value can't wait till next Sunday's delivery

Absolutely incredible! The best steak by far! Never tried the steak here on the rocks before and will never have it any other way now. Amazing!

Went for a birthday meal 5 family members mixed ages, what a gem this restaurant is. Food was absolutely stunning, you can cook your own steak at the table which 2 members of our party did it was amazing. The staff which the owner is part of went out of their way to make sure we had a lovely time. The mocktails for the kids were incredible. The onion rings should be world famous, best ever! Would definitely recommend, we will be returning now we have found this restaurant. It’s definitely my number one place to eat!!

We came here on Monday evening for our second visit and I have to say we all absolutely loved it and will defo be back again in the future. Very friendly staff so polite, helpful and informative, all the food was cooked to perfection and presented very nicely. It was very busy being the last day for the eat out scheme, all was well and the staff coped very well, thank you for a lovely evening, hope to see you all again soon

We really enjoyed our night at on the rocks s66, the staff were all kind and helpful, they were so friendly and chatty. The food was brilliant, the atmosphere in the restaurant was so relaxed and lovely. I'd definitely recommend, we will be coming back soon to try a Sunday dinner! This has been our first night out for food and drinks since the start of lockdown, Just want to say thankyou to the lovely manager and all staff for making it such a great night. If I could give you more than 5 stars I would.

We first visited as a family of four two weeks ago after seeing “On The Rocks” on the governments “Eat Out to help out” website. Both me and my wife had the steak which arrived on a hot rock and honestly it was one of the best steaks I’ve had in years. My 16oz Ribeye was so tender and I cooked it to a medium rare. First problem.... there’s is either little or no air con in the restaurant. As more and more people had the steak our eyes started to sting. They had every window and door open but the smoke was bad. Second problem... The server put the hot rock directly in front of us which resulted in hot fat spitting out all over our clothes and bodies... not great. Although there wasn’t a kids menu, they did have kids options (c’mon On The Rocks... is it that hard to do a menu) and they really enjoyed their meals. During the night we saw plate after plate of gorgeous looking food coming out of the kitchen... The burgers looked amazing... big impressive looking creations. The onion rings were huge!! I saw a mixed grill come out on a large plate and it looked incredible. Although there were the problems above we really enjoyed our food and after paying we booked in straight away for the following week... our second visit was last night and not good. After seeing the food coming out the previous week I decided to go for the mixed grill, my wife the burger and the kids had a chicken nugget meal and hot wings and salad. The mixed grill was poor. A handful of soggy chips under a selection of tough dry meat (except the steak which again was delicious). The tiny lamb chop was the toughest I’ve ever had. The pork, lamb and average sausage all tasted like they were frozen and poor quality. The blue cheese sauce was really oily and the onion rings small and greasy. Very disappointing. My wife’s burger wasn’t the delicious looking bun we had seen the previous week, it was a poor quality standard bun that again looked like it had been frozen. The patty average. Really disappointing... the previous week they had looked amazing. So... this review is mixed. It seems like either a different kitchen team was on this week, or they had completely re-specked their menu as they were totally different in just one week. Btw... the hot rock steaks that night were coming out thick and fast... the smoke in the room was worse than the previous week as doors were closed on this occasion. The smoke thick and we stunk when we got home. Saying that the steaks looked amazing! In conclusion, The steaks are fantastic... everything else is frozen tasting average food. My advice to “On The Rocks” is go back to the previous spec... don’t cut corners. Also you NEED to sort out your air-con. The smoke problem is bad. Will we return... probably not until they sort the smoke problem and if we do I hope they return to the delicious food we first experienced.

Our first meal out since lockdown, really enjoyed our visit although I was apprehensive, I needn’t have worried, felt very safe hand sanitiser on entry, plenty of social distancing in place. The meal was amazing, service was great and atmosphere was great. Have eaten here on numerous occasions when it was known as the double barrel, it is now known as “ on the Rocks S66” updated and up graded a job well done, we will be returning.

The best Steak on the stone in Yorkshire with sizzlers with good selection of beers. Also great staff to make it a nice night out.

I took my partner out for her birthday taking advantage of the Eat Out to Help Out scheme so I knew going in it was going to be busy, upon arriving at the bar I was greeted by Rachael who I assume to be the manager, sadly one of the usual servers (her daughter) had had an accident and had been taken to hospital so service may be affected. Even taking into the account how busy they were the food was warm and tasty and fantastic value for money, we did have to ask for a steak knife as it wasn't provided for my partner with her steak but these mistakes happen and it was easily resolved. All COVID guidelines seem to be followed as best as possible with our details being taken on arrival, table clothes regularly changed and fresh clean menus and cutlery provided for each new arrival. All in all I had no complaints and look forward to visiting again when it's less manic and the world has hopefully returned to some sort of normality.

We have just been to On The Rocks S66, we are 2 adults, 9 & 2 year old children. There was plenty of choice on the menu. Everything we had was lovely, perfectly cooked and so tasty. The service was great and the staff were lovely too. We can’t wait to go back again. Next time to try the Sunday dinner.

Where to start, the restaurant is beautiful and has a warm friendly atmosphere. To start we had chicken wings and nachos, hey we're the best nachos I'd ever had. Actually fresh tortilla rather than the crisps served elsewhere, also they were cooked which meant every one was crisp and tasty. Next the 16oz serloin steaks were cooked to perfection, I have medium rare which no one ever gets right but here they did and the blue cheese sauce was devine. A fantastic experience that we will definitely repeat!!!

We entered the venue and were impressed with social distancing and hand sanitiser area Not a traditional look for a steakhouse so a little confused if its a steak house or a pub that sells steaks - the decor if a steakhouse needs a revamp to suit the menu. There was a slight mix up with my side dish came back and was dry to be fair and microwaved. Only two of the four steaks on the menu were available so it was disappointing. I have to say though the steak was really good and in a different setting probably would have had a better rating

Really couldn’t ask for any better. My family smiled and laughed The hole time we was there. My mum is a hard woman to please but she was over the moon. She was in her Element loving the food and amazing customer service. Fantastic value...

Food was amazing and great value for money. The staff were polite and there was only a 20 minute wait for food which as brilliant. £72 for 4 people with 3 drinks each, which in my opinion was brilliant. Food was really really tasty.
