Recline cinema and customer service was spot on. However, toilets were grubby and in need of a bit of a refresh. Hand dryers were particularly grim.

Great cinema, although temperature can be a bit off sometimes

I used to take my grandchildren to the downpatrick cinema at least once a month.A couple of years back me and my young grandsonh were in the ladies.My grandson was in the cubicle next to me,he shouted for me. I could not believe the state he was in,the toilet had flooded all over the pla e,he was covered in dirty urine.Staff were so uninterested in what had happened.They said yeh we have been having problems with the toilets.I emailed and left a hand written complaint into omniplex still waiting on a reply.

Needs a severe makeover. Not up to the same standard as Dundonald, feels like a cinema from the 80s, and staff all seem apathetic.

I’m incredibly disappointed about the state downpatrick cinema, it’s genuinely gone down hill year on year. Eclipse were so much better. Where to begin? I watched mission impossible, dune and now deadpool and every single time, every single time there has been the exact same stain on the screen. It is genuinely shocking that it hasn’t been cleaned. Bathrooms are always an absolute state, it’s absolutely disgusting and I hate going in them. Myself and my family attended on the 8th of august to see deadpool, staff seemed genuinely uninterested. Only person that seemed to be somewhat awake was the woman behind the till and she didn’t even wear a uniform, just causal clothing….must’ve been her first day? The other woman on the till, every time I glanced at the till she seemed to be staring daggers into me with a blank expression, it made me very uncomfortable to the point I had to look away. Even when our screening was over and I was leaning on the wall waiting on the bathroom I glanced down to see her staring up at me, blankly! As we were leaving a woman opened a coded door in front of us, didn’t speak at all to us, glanced at us and looked away only to go inside the room. I’m in my 20s, working a customer service role as these people are and frankly I’m genuinely baffled at their lack of social skills. Whilst waiting in line also, one of the displays behind the till was displaying a desktop of a bear instead of…prices… All the screens as you go in were also off, despite being a fair amount of people present the lobby was basically silent, no promos, no trailers, just dark screens… As we were leaving the screening also, the display saying “no movie showing” or something or that elk was upside down 🤦‍♂️😂 As I went down the stairs, all the staff, including a supervisor were crowded around the ticket desk and didn’t say a word to us. I was honestly not spoken to by a single member of staff the entire time I was there other than telling me where my seats were by a bored looking person as if I couldn’t read my ticket… I’m honestly concerned of where downpatrick cinema is heading, it has fallen so, so far down hill it’s unreal. Recline seats are fantastic but other than that the cinema is like something out of 2006, probably hasn’t been cleaned since then either.

Staff lovely and friendly and helpful

No lights on inside the cinema 10mins before start. Someone went to complain and staff member came and turned lights on. 10mins past startime the screen was still blank! Staffmember arrived and turned screen on. Adverts the took 20 mins meaning that at 30 mins after advertised start time film had still not started!!! Thus place is an absolute shambles!

Dirty compared to other Omniplexes

My daughter took me to Wath "Back to black" was amazing movie however... Staff are so rude our tickets said C8 and C9 we sat down on these seats only for a staff member to come in and move us to B8&9 a few people came in and said they had paid for those seats?? So we moved up a few the guy who Sat beside me had his feet up on the arm if my seat and when I politely asked his ti move the he tutted quite aggressively!! After the movie we went to speak to a staff member and she hurried away however the fair hair led guy with a sweeping brush heard me saying I'd be putting in a complaint.. Sort your staff out omniplex

Great seats, good screen and sound reproduction. Hilarious food prices, try not to act shocked.

Clean facilities, all computerised getting ticket, getting food etc

It used to be very clean, but over past year the cleaning is poor. Seats dirty, floors sticky, toilets terrible even during daytime when quiet. The door in Recline screen 9 on last visit was thick with grime and dirt where people have pushed open. Basic cleaning clearly not being done and makes me wary of eating any products here or returning. Will travel to Belfast to a cleaner premises

Exceptional difficult to contact if making a group/school booking.

The wait for snacks is bad but also be prepared for a dose of hypothermia after. It was shockingly cold and extremely uncomfortable because of it.

Everything was good apart from popcorn. Asked for mixed salted and sweet. Got half sweet and half salty. No attempt to mix them. Very disappointed.

Love the cinema with the recliner chairs. Cost's a bit more, but worth it

Great cinema but having no working till and only self service is crazy. If you want to add something to your order you have to go right back to the start and queue up again.

Long time since I've been to the pictures. So glad I made the effort. Small intimate auditorium with comfy reclining seats and perfect sound. Oh and good selection of vegan sweets too.!

Really enjoy coming here for a wee film. Very clean location and the staff are welcoming. Shout out to Hannah the mind reader. She was able to provide my child with two straws before they asked her and the fact she knew to offer mix for the shlushi... You don't get that service from an automated teller. Thanks to all the staff for an enjoyable family rainy day out.

Parking was limited but free and cinema was very clean and seats v comfy. Screen v clear and good sound quality

I have never been in a more dirty cinema in all my life. Popcorn lying everywhere, toilets flooded with dirty water and urine on toilet seats. Went to the toilet before the movie started, it was disgusting. Went back an hour later and no one had been in to clean it in that time, so I went and informed staff myself. Management and staff really need to get this place cleaned up as it is a disgrace.

Great local cinema, could do with another recline screen but still good

Mostly positive experiences out of here, however, I know it's a cinema but holy... The shop can be hella expensive. There's also a staff member that worked in there last time I was in, and he was giving me dirty looks and staring me down. I think his name was Shane, can't remember his second name. But he had it in for me for some weird reason. He's known by the police, so just beware.

The usually rip off job on food, drink etc. Sound was quite low volume.

Expensive, Returned recently. The place has gone down hill badly. Toilets very dirty, carpets not cleaned and no heat, also screen 6 has a yellow blur in the centre of it. Not informed at the counter at time of booking. Informed staff when trailers where on, reply was we are looking into getting it fixed. Avoid this screen as it ruins the film.

Ordinary small town omniplex. Weirdly shaped room. Hard to get a seat that felt right for the big action movie that was on.

Great experience. I went to watch the new Avatar in the recline ticket's booked earlier in the week, so was literally walking in get your popcorn Park up and relax on a nice comfy recliner was very comfortable for the full 3hr movie definitely recommended 👌 👍

I watched what only could have been a male manager grab kids aggressively by their jacket hoods and try to kick them as they were standing about the pick n mix. I thought this was very unprofessional and quite uncalled for due to the boys being so young. Everyone in the queue was shocked and disgusted at this behaviour.

Staff were helpful. The seating needed a good clean.

Pleasant cinema with a good programme but there is always a queue to get any drinks or snacks. And you must order before you queue. Orders can be placed using the screens at the cinema or online.

I went to see Spider man: No Way Hosay (I think) with my nephew Ron. I couldn't understand what was happening in the movie. I know the spider guy but nobody else. Not sure how they expected people to know what was going on or who everyone was. Bad film design if you ask me. Also I don't like the new spidered-man. They kept calling him Peter Partor when his name is spider man. Even I knew that! I did get a very nice cup with the movie which I use for trapping big bugs with.

Always really quiet (in a good way) and really clean facilities.

Took son to see his first movie at the cinema, absolutely loved it and and especially since we where the only ones there. Great experience for him.

Fantastic new addition with the recline facility. Comfort while enjoying a film with the family. Only downside would be the cost to use this facility

Definitely worth paying the extra for the recliner seats. Plenty of room for the kids to space themselves out.

Decent cinema, only issue I have with it is the staff. They all seem to be very young and have no customer service skills, they give off the impression that they just can't be bothered helping you.

Was so excited to see 'Downton', loved the theatre with the large comfy, tipping 'armchair' seats..very safe re Covid.. only a couple of others in the theatre.. Wonderful experience..staff @reception very helpful & cheery.. 🙂 Looking forward to 'Maverick' when it comes. 👍💖.

Family member died and we were unable to attend a show,they would not let me reschedule to a later show,the customer service team are shocking and very rude.

Average omniplex cinema. The recline seats are quite good. Staff can be great one day but bad another.

I came here yesterday with a couple of friends to see The Batman (directed by Matt Reeves, starring Robert Pattinson, rated PG-13, released 4th March, 2022). We brought our tickets and snacks at the digitial pannel thingy near the door, oblivious to the sheer lack of staff that were present. Once I paid for my medium combo and my ticket, I appraoched the counter with my receipt in hand so that I could get my sweet popcorn and Coca-Cola Zero Sugar. To my surprise, there was nobody there to serve me. I tried calling at the top of my lungs, to no avail. Me and my friends searched the building for staff but we couldn't find anybody. We were waiting there for at least 15 minutes, which is probably a generous estimate to be honest. Just as I was contemplating hopping over the counter to serve myself, finally two staff members began making their way to their stations, very slowly and with a complete lack of urgency, might I add. There was no apology either. When I had finally got the meal I had paid for at least 15 minutes prior, I made my way into the theatre. Unsurprisngly, I had missed a good chunk of the intro scene. I don't want to rail completely on the two employees. They were probably on their break and if it truly was just the two of them working, then that sounds like a management issue. Suffice to say, I will not be returning to Omniplex Cinema Downpatrick.

This cinema has wronged a young autistic man who has paid money to view The Batman in the hopes of finding a suitable young goth woman to go out on a date with and offered no apology this is unacceptable service

Omniplex pass is great. Can go to any of the cinemas and book any seat for free for all films using pass. Makes going to cinema very affordable

Visited this modern cinema on 10th Feb 2019 to see the Lego Movie 2 in 3D. Not too many other customers around at the time of my visit. I found that overall the facilities were very good. There was a wide choice of films and times available. Staff were very pleasant and also efficient dealing with the food order. Glad to say that the toilets were clean as was the auditorium. Free and well lit car parking right outside so no extra costs or long walks. Convenient online booking left for hassle free admittance and I appreciated being able to reserve seats too. Online booking also brought a welcome 10% discount. I'd definitely recommend a visit. Nice cinema.

Went to see Belfast and enjoyed my visit booked tickets on line and from then everything worked like clockwork on arrival staff took over and made our visit very enjoyable staff were very good and helpful and we will be back

Very well organised covid protocols - we felt very safe with all customers being required to show either a vaccine passport or a negative lateral flow test. The ability to view who else was sitting where, when booking seats, was a great feature. The auditorium itself had nice comfy seats and ventilation seemed good (if a little chilly after a while). Toilets nice and clean. We did feel sorry for the business and staff though, as there were so few customers (although this was on a Tuesday evening in mid-Jan).

Called in with my family for breakfast. Lots of choices. . And friendly staff once again.i would recommend here

It a good size of cinema which has a number of rooms 8 rooms pick to watch your movies. It also has open night rooms which have fold back chairs

Good cinema on the edge of Downpatrick. There's a Dakota Bob's diner next to it and plenty of free parking beside it.
