Food was nicely prepared and served. Tasty and delivered for free. HOWEVER the menu prices shown on the website are 6 YEARS out of date. So expect to pay about 40% more PLEASE guys either take the website down or sort it. DO NOT SAY we can't change or update it. 6 YEARS is no excuse.

Whilst having an Easter break, had two wonderful takeaway pizzas from here. Veggie and Hawaian. Very tasty and enjoyable.

I bought a chicken kebab from there yesterday and I’ve ended up with food poisoning

We have used this place on and off since it opened and the food is always hot and enjoyable. Just last night we used it everything arrived before the allocated time, the food was good and enjoyable and we had a large chicken kebab and large donna kebab, chips and onion rings. All cooked well

nice addition to the local area, good quality fast food with burgers, pizza, kebab and chicken etc. well cooked and not your normal city centre fayre. it isn't cheap but nothing is these days.

Used online menu and prices made the call got different price to online 38 pound for 2 large donner kebab 1 regular 2 chips 1 small cheese and garlic bread donner meat very thin salad very limited not worth half the price wony ever be going there again

I am a very regular regular, and this has been my favourite takeaway for a long time, frequently recommending to others…until tonight! I know we are all feeling the pinch, but please charge me a bit more, don’t cut my food in less than half! I ordered the same as I always have and just got home to the most measly measly kebab, Im not sure it would have even satisfied a child! AND no sauce (as I had ordered). I am so very disappointed. …now off to make myself some proper dinner…or get a McDonald’s! (I wouldn’t be leaving a public review but I can’t find an email to do this privately)

Walked up into village from river moorings for a takeway-spotted The Olive on way to village centre so decided to give a try and it didnt disappoint. Good range of takeaway food (pizza, burger, kebabs etc) quickly prepared while we waited on seating outside. Cash only.

Just had a terrible tea I wanted a mixed kebab not a 15 pound mixed grill when I rang to ask the man was just rude also no salad use to be a regular but this is the second time now we have had issues at 20 pound a week are average spend will be liking for some where new I think

Just had a takeaway from here. The 12 inch pizza was burnt to the point of charcoal edges and the base had a bit of mould on the bottom. Disgusting !

Do not buy food from here. Staff turn up for work and not washing hands before commencing to handle food. This is a basic hygiene requirement but even more important as a protection against Covid. Need to review working practise

Had a lovely meal delivered of Special Donner Kebabs and Mexicana pizza and everything was really well seasoned and fresh. The chips are lovely 💖. A new weekly favourite.

First time we have used the Olive tree in Acle. Had our food delivered - amazed delivery was free! Kebabs excellent, but perhaps the chilli sauce could have been a little hotter. Mexicana pizza really tasty. We are definitely coming back for more. Such good value.

Ordered via phone,when we got there they demanded cash,which they failed to point out on the phone,the food was average at best,their chicken was only fit for the bin,even then the bin wasn’t keen either,you can never be that hungry to eat their food!!!!!!

Yeah, it's OK. Not the best, not the worst I've had. Perhaps a little pricey for the quality/quantity ratio, but alright none the less!

What has happened to this venue? It always used to be quite good but after my last visit a couple of days ago I will never use again: food was only just warm, chips tasted like shop bought frozen chips (taste free), kebab meat was very fatty and was like it had been taken out of a packet - taste free, dry, strange shape. Sauce was watery and tasteless too. VERY disappointing and not cheap either. Sorry but I will not visit again.

Food portion size was made for a 3 year old they should stop being so stingy apart from that food was nice wouldn't waste your time if your hungry

Best oven baked Italian pizza I had in Norfolk! Great service, friendly staff, customer focused service. Delicious kebab. The menu offers lots of choices and on top you can customise your order as you please. Wheelchair accessible. Large carpark.

We went and ordered a Burger for myself, my Husband, Sister and her Husband all had kebabs. The chips were lovely,dry and just right.

Having just moved to the area thought I'd try a nearby takeaway, ordered 2 pizzas.Friendly service but Thats where the good points end,got home (in under 5mins) to 2 very average undercooked pizzas ( had to cook both more) with poor toppings .Also quite expensive at £15.40 for a 7and a 9 inch.

Staying at the local Travelodge and arrived in the evening so needed a quick and easy dinner. Rung up and ordered my food which only took 10 minutes. Food wasn’t bad, not the best chicken shish kebab I’ve ever had but was absolutely fine. Portion (medium) fairly small. The place seemed busy which is always reassuring. Staff were extremely friendly on the phone (when ordering ahead) and in person (when collecting). If ordering again, would probably go for a pizza!

Not your average greasy kebab shop. Very clean and very good quality food. The pizzas are my favourite choice from here. I'd even recommend it to my parents - that's how good it is. Staff are very service orientated too. A pleasure to eat from here.

We were moored on the long stretch of river in the Acle area, thinking there was only the local waterside pub nearby. A nice man came along handing out homemade leaflets outlining all the shops etc in the village of Acle, a short walk across a meadow. So pleased he did! There’s an M&S Simply Food and a Starbucks! We stocked up ;-)For our evening meal we ordered from The Olive Tree. They don’t deliver. Friendly staff, order ready on time, piping hot. Kebabs were outstanding, great portions of juicy chicken and lamb with fresh salad. Pizzas lovely, chips good.

Ordered two pizzas, one small and one large. The larger pizza had a chewy base and needed a little more cooking. Also, for a margherita, it needed seasoning, herbs. It was quite bland. The smaller pizza was quite good as it had a crispier base. Not traditional Italian pizzas but your average American style. Overall, not bad if you’re staying at the Travelodge and need some hot food. Service was friendly.

They'll happily do custom orders, and offer good discount on their various meal deals.Pizza's are nice and taste like you'd expect from these types of Takeways.Burgers are fantastic, some of the best takeway burgers you'll find.Chips are average, quick frozen to fry, nothing special.Chicken is good, although can sometimes be stale if they're having a slow day, always ask for fresh.Pasta dishes are great!Kebabs are good too, with the usual wide range of salad accessories.Overall good local takeway, never had a bad experience in the 20+ times we've returned.

not a hat or hair net in sight despite some having hair down to elbows.rude staff. normally takeaways will give you a free bottle of coke or something yu spend about 30 quid. not this place! AVOID

Ate twice in two nights and it was absolutely disgusting, chicken kebab was swimming in Grease literally dripping out the tray, wont ever go back and told the hotel to not recommend!!!!!

Still advertised on the website that it’s open at Lunchtime over the weekend, so we made an order and got a confirmation email. Drove all the way to Acle from a Brundall way to find out that it was closed and nobody there. The lunch times on the opening hours in the window have been scribbled out in pen. Not happy.

Called in for two kebabs and one portion of chips,when I got home I discovered there was no chips.... Disappointed as it wasn't a big order to me up really and we live too far away to go back and collect. Kebabs very good so made up for it a little.

We've used this chain several times and been to this location before. It's a bit tucked away and I don't suppose many tourists visit. The pizzas are consistently good. Service was friendly and prompt. Ideal if you are staying at a nearby place like the Travelodge. Be aware they don't take cards - cash only.

Best kebab takeaway in the Acle area. The pizzas are loaded with cheese and the chicken kebabs are delicious.

Used to love it. But sadly the last few times I’ve been it haven’t been as good. Prices are still good but the quality has gone down a bit. The pizzas aren’t as nice anymore, they are really dry but also really soggy at the same time? Don’t know how to explain it other than that. So bit disappointed overall.

It's okay. Cheap food but no consistency. One week crispy chips and good chicken. Next week floppy undercooked chips and dry chicken. When it's good it's great, when it's bad it's a waste of a journey.

This takeaway is part of a small chain (we've used the one in Needham Market a few times). Tucked away a bit for tourists to see, but well known to locals. Decent sized car park with a table outside. Service was good and quick. Pizzas were nice - took ours back to our Travelodge nearby.

We found this takeaway by accident but it was a very nice accident. The food was lovely; we had kebab and garlic bread. We will definitely be back.

Visited the takeaway 3 times. Advertises itself as a taste of the Mediterranean, Laugh out loud. The only Mediterranean thing about is the guys cooking it.

We eat from this takeaway regularly. The food is good and as you would expect from this type of takeaway. A decent kebab, pretty good pizza, chils can be a bit soggy.

I have bought food from here many times, and on a couple of occasions I mentioned as an observation that the kebab food portions were of different sizes on different occasions, and once I mentioned that my sons chicken kebab had a very small amount of chicken! I then dared to ask for less onion and more tomato and cucumber, and the guy starts accusing me of complaining every time I go in their shop! And was very rude!!! I walked out with nothing, and I will never return to buy food there! I felt that it was an extremely rude way to speak to a customer, and if they can't take customer comments, then they don't deserve being in business! Very, very sad to treat people this way in a small village like Acle??? I've never complained about their food, I enjoyed their kebabs, but the rudeness from the head guy (I assume) I won't take, and it's worth making this review! 1 lost customer, I wonder how many others have been spoken too in this way??? Not good!!!!! I'll not return!!!!!

me and my family have had food from the olive tree a few times now. always phone up the order and then go pick it up. it's always ready nothings ever missing food is great and excellent portion sizes. staff are friendly and the place is clean and looks really nice. would recommend definitely. will try get pictures for next time.

I went with my husband for the early bird meal deal. We booked a table for 6 pm as we had tickets for a local cinema at 8 pm. The service was good , staff polite and meals served quickly. The menu is limited for the deal but the choice is good. We both choose a starter and main meal. The portion size was large and too much for us both to eat.....we both have a good appetite ! Will certainly go back again.

We love popping by here to pick up a 'healthy' grilled chicken kebab with loads of red onion salad & garlic sauce - medium big enough to share with my 13 year old; four pieces of delicious chicken in a box for husband & a portion of chips to share!

We visited their website and found a few pizza meal deals that seemed good value, but they weren't able to take orders for this branch online. So popped there instead, to be told that the deals were online only - which obviously we couldn't do. Pretty annoying, so ended up paying more than we hoped.

After try the pub to get some food without success I was told about The Olive Tree, went for a Kebab and Chips, very nice but took ages.

The olive tree is nothing special but it is all reasonably priced and the food is always hot. Customer service here is very poor.

Have to say that the food was no better than average and the attitude of the two young ladies behind the counter left a lot to be desired! What a disappointing and embarrassing evening.<br />We arrived at the restaurant to find that it is sold and presently undergoing refurbishment.<br />No one informed us of the fact beforehand.<br />We had invited another couple for the evening and we ended up without a dinner due to the lateness. By the time we discovered the restaurant is no more and collected my car from the carpark it was 9 pm.

We had a takeaway on Monday I can honestly saw this was the worst kebab I have ever tasted, dry and seemed like it had been reheated over and over again. My brother in law had chicken kebab you wouldn't have given that to a dog it would have turned his nose up. I don't know this day and age how they can dish up crap like that. Would never eat there again

Nice place, close to the central if you want to do an evening out. We had a liver starter, one portion was enough for two, and was nicely spiced, soft chicken liver, but a bit oily for my taste but could do with it any day.<br />I chose for main the lamb-shank with lentils. The meat was great, was felling off bone easily and went well with the lentil. The other main was a great stake! we did order dessert. Over all good value... apart from the wine which wasn&#039;t too great, but that could be our bad luck.

Having left it too late to book a meal at our hotel&#039;s restaurant we used Trip Advisor to look for a restaurant near our hotel. We were very lucky to randomly choose The Olive Tree Lounge. We were warmly welcomed &amp; although our ordering got off to a shaky start, a mix up in the drinks order &amp; the unavailability of a vegetarian dish, it was quickly sorted out &amp; the chef also created a special vegetarian pasta dish.<br />The food was reasonably priced, well cooked &amp; very tasty.<br />The friendly relaxed atmosphere was just what was needed the evening before my daughters wedding day.

This was or third visit to this restaurant and I have to say it was disappointing.<br />The food could only be described as average. The portions were also far from generous. The Prawn dish on a skewer was actually very good but only one small skewer ...not good value.<br />I had the risotto for main course and it was below average.<br />My wife&#039;s side portion of chips was far too small.<br />I dont usually write to complain about restaurants and am only doing so now in the hope that some improvements can be made as the Restaurant itself is really nice and so are the staff.

Meal was presented beautifully and tasted as good as it looked. Service was very good too, a very relaxed restaurant to have a leisurely meal.

Sunday lunch. The one veggie option wasn&#039;t available so it turned into an undercooked risotto. The chosen wine wasn&#039;t available and the suggested one proved unsuitable for the meal. Starter was bland and the roast over peppered.<br /><br />It&#039;s cheap for St Albans but that&#039;s no excuse.

Been here a few times now, most recently Tuesday night and the food is always perfect. Better steak than I&#039;ve had at some top London restaurants. Staff are always really welcoming and friendly. Safe to say it won&#039;t be our last visit.
