Olive Tree in Broxtowe

It's the first time I have eaten at the olive tree, it's the best. Fresh, tasty... My new favourite!

First time ordering from Olive Tree and it was fantastic. Excellent food and fast delivery....would highly recommend and will be ordering again from them soon.

Had take out from here - the BEST chicken shish I've ever had served with really tasty rice. Will be back

Fantastic takeaway. Food is full of flavour and always piping hot. Great value for money. Lots of variety on the menu. We tried the new addition to the menu tonight. Ham. Mushroom pizza and it was lovely. A winner in our household and will be ordering again. Pizza was cooked to perfection and wasn’t greasy like some pizza. Toppings was just right and again pizza was full of flavour. Highly recommend to anyone. Staff are lovely and always helpful. Food is always fresh and cooked to order. Super quick. My favourite takeaway in the area.

What a dump! Don't know what has gone wrong but food was luke warm and bland. Staff were young and seemed really disinterested and resentful of the customers. They dropped part of our wrap on the floor and looked round to see if we had noticed, thank god we were watching so they had to redo it. Best avoided.

Been ordering takeaway form here for a few years now and the food is always very tasty, their vegan and gluten free options are second to none. BUT today I order food to my old address by mistake not realising till an hour after I place my order rang them and they were absolutely brilliantly recooked my food fresh and delivered to my actual house

Ordered food as take out, was spot on. full of flavour, generous portions, especially the kids food. Even delivered warm still. Reasonably priced too. can't wait untill next time

Excellent food, kebabs are bang on, something a little different from the standard fare.

I have to admit I used to be a fan when they first opened but this is the second meal I’ve had from them that is lazy. Way too salty paprika chips. Why not just put paprika on the chips instead of the mountains of salt?? Lamb that’s like an old boot. Not good. Everything else is just out of a jar. Olives. Feta. Sun dried tomatoes. Come on. It isn’t hard to make a great fresh Greek meal even this far from Greece. Drop the salt and go back to some home made cooking.

Do not waste your money I used to eat at Olive Tree quite often, the food used to be good, but lately all their food is disgusting. I’ve ordered an Mixed Grill tonight that all goes to the bin. All the meat is way over seasoned, the lamb is like you would eat some cardboard mixed with chewing gum. The taste of the meat is non-existent basically because of the seasoning- and now makes me wonder- is this because the meat is about to go off and if you put some extra pepper you will not gonna taste it?! Shame on you Olive Tree Ah, and don’t forget about rice too. I definitely will not gonna order again. Highly do not recommend

People complaining about ordering food on here. If you want ya food hot and on time go fetch it yourself!

My husband bought my tea last night and it was a pasta dish. It was out of this world. First visit will be back. Thank you.

Disappointing experience. The piri piri seasoning on my fries was all dumped on top rather than mixed through so you just get a handful of fries with way too much seasoning, which are also served in a Styrofoam carton ala 90s budget kebab shop, so they go soggy in no time. The falafel wrap was small and after the first bite where all of the sauces were concentrated, was pretty bland. On top of all that it's not cheap. That was something like £8.50. There are plenty of independent gourmet burger places around selling a burger and fries for about the same price that are way nicer (and served in cardboard boxes so the fries stay crispy 😉)

Terrible. Kebab for £6 which you can eat for two bites. Very, very small. A very small/tiny sharing box for £10. Not enough for one person and they calling this as a sharing box. We spent over £40 on food which was extremely small. The food was so extreme and embarrassingly small that we went to give it back to them and no one even said sorry. If you are hungry avoid this place because you will be very disappointed

Lovely food happy 5year old loved his food I loved my veggie pasta dish and cheesy chips it only taken half an hour for delivery guy was very pleasant will be ordering again

The food is fantastic, I honestly can't rate it highly enough, but the delivery is truly, consistently awful, we've waited 2 hours for food to arrive, so if you're going to order, go and collect it! Such a shame as its a simple fix for the business to make.

We wanted an alternative takeaway to the usual Chinese/Pizza etc so we opted for the Olive Tree. It was absolutely delicious, arrived quickly, food hot and well cooked. Will definitely use again

Love the food from here, a few times the order has missed something but they do remember there mistake for the next time you order. Friendly in shop staff, and delivery drivers The only thing is that the Google app seems to be non existent in the playstore 🤷🏾

Great Food with lots of choice on the menu

Took away food a couple of times. The first time it was pasta and I got heart burn after it as it was too rich. The other time I got rizotto with seafood. I like it more rather than pasta.

Not been to Olive Tree before but heard lots of good things about the food. We had quite a selection and the food is quite good. Just be aware that the service is chaotic! Place a phone order well in advance for collection at a specific time and then had to wait 25mins. I am told that this is normal

The food was absolutely amazing, hot and came really quickly. The chicken burger and the chicken wrap were really nice and filling.

We were tempted to try the Olive Tree thanks to all the positive reviews on the app that we use. I have to ask, where are the taste buds on the reviewers? The chicken in the children’s meals was extremely spicy, to the point where it was inedible to them. The fries had been dumped under the chicken so these were now soggy. My partners chicken was visibly over cooked, blackened and dry. No point even attempting to eat that one. The donner box was ok, the portion generous, however, not as warm as you would expect and I ended up leaving some cold meat as I didn’t fancy the risk. The peri peri fries are just fries with a mix of chilli powder and smoked paprika dumped on top, not very appetising, who wants a mouthful of dry paprika powder? On calling to raise an issue we were passed to a “manager” who turned out to not be a manager. Kids meals swapped for chicken nuggets, but only after the staff were pushed. Overly expensive and won’t be using them again, we’ve had better chicken and kebabs from the chippy round the corner. It’s a pity that you can’t go less than 1 star for a review.

Beautiful food but less pasta and more of the other ingredients in a meal and not having the delivery driver pull up outside your house and sit there 5 minutes before getting out to deliver the food this happened on the 23/2/21 at approx 5pm 😊

Found the food a little expensive for what it was, fried starters which we knew but they were a little dry, side salad somewhat soggy and limp, chips again on the soggy side. Maybe it’s just not our thing. Would I order again? Unfortunately not for me

We ordered £45 worth of food at 6.59pm this evening on line still waiting at 9.00pm promised at 8.25 that it would be here in 10-15 mins. The girl who then answered the phone was laughing as we rang a second time to ask were the order was. First time we have ordered from here. If they had been told us it would be over 2 hours with 3 kids desperate for their tea we would not have ordered from this place. Really poor customer service, disappointed to have to record a review against a local business especially at the current time, but it is unfair to mess people about like this.

Very tasty carbonara, seafood pasta and Halloumi we had off you. Would definitely recommend . Only criticism was it took a while for delivery however we do appreciate you are probably very busy with the quality of food you serve.

An absolute breath of fresh air here in Ilkeston. I am obsessed and can not recommend highly enough. Beautifully presented, authentic Mediterranean food. So much tastier, fresher and even healthier than the normal takeaway, especially with the fairly limited selection in Ilkeston. It's is rare to find a break from the same old menus so this really is a revelation for me. Well done Olive Tree I really could not ask for better service. P.s...if you don't believe me try the Greek chicken Kebab it's outta this world 🥙😋🥙

We placed an order online and paid by card. We arrived at the shop to collect our to find it closed and decorators there. We have emailed the company and 5 days on we still have not received any reply or refund.

Ordered our food for 730pm tonight and arrived 640pm so wasnt quite ready for it. Food was cold and not up to normal quality placed 30 pound order and didnt seem value for money and deserts laughable for price paid for them. Sorry wont order again felt let down by normally a high standard company 😟

Waited 2 hours for delivery. When I called to arrange refund for the soggy cold food,the guy refused and thought offering £10 was a fair offer instead of the £25 I paid. Eat in as the food is normally good the delivery service is just a joke though!

My friend told me about Olive Tree months ago and since then I've been a pretty regular takeaway customer - there's something for everyone and the prices are good. I love the Halloumi wrap (it's less of a wrap, more of a flatbread) - although this is the only wrap that isn't in the special offers :( Boyfriend loves the ultimate donner box and the half-price pasta on Sundays, although you get absolutely loads of pasta so it's a great deal even at full-price. Service has always been fast and friendly. Brilliant for when you don't want pizza, Chinese or Indian!

Absolutely disgusting paid £6.50 for a chicken burger it was burnt and had a layer of thick black soggy skin on, no cheese on it old salad leafs and the chips were cold and soggy. My partner had a donner box and got half way down to find the garlic bread crusts like someone had ate it nd chucked the crusts in....🤢AVOID!!!

The food is good and tasty it was recommended to me and I gave it a try The staff are helpful and friendly it's a very clean and tidy place which helps when buying food there's an assortment of wraps and tasty meals to choose from the wraps are around a £5 to £6 great if you don't fancy cooking and had couple of beers

This is a great little takeaway with the option to eat in if you want to. Not a restaurant as such, but plenty of table space and is a healthier alternative to your McDs or KFC's. Very clean seating areas, space to park outside. Friendly pleasant staff who are knowledgeable about their food. Food which is Mediterranean with a leaning towards Asian has something for all in the party. The food is very good, plentiful and served hot, and if dining in will be bought to your table. The pita breads are to die for. And on Sundays pasta is half price, even though its only around £5- £6 anyway! Have been a couple of times and been very impressed with this little place on both occasions.

Best kebab/wraps ever. Never eaten inside but as it isn’t really a “restaurant” however the takeaway food is amazing. I’ve never had it delivered but I always see the guy dropping stuff off to my neighbours! It’s really good food and good value for money. Shocked at the bad reviews

We sometimes order here at lunchtime from work. The portion sizes are good and the prices aren’t too high either, but I will admit I was slightly disappointed with the flavour of the food. I was really looking forward to eating from here, as there is nowhere around here that serves the same cuisine, but unfortunately I was left disappointed. The food didn’t really have much flavour to it, it was lacking something that I couldn’t put my finger on. I will give it another try but I’ll choose something else from the menu next time

I phoned to reserve a table at Olive 'restaurant' and was told it wasn't necessary. Having never been inside before I didn't realise it's really a takeaway with a few plastic tables! My friend and I decided to stay even though there was no atmophere and it was so cold we nearly kept our coats on throughout the meal. We ordered a hot meze sharer platter to start followed by the chicken burgers as they were half price on the night we visited. The burgers were brought to our table and we were just about to say we'd not had our starter yet when the meze arrived too. We therefore had a pile of food that was quickly going cold as it was all in front of us at the same time. We also had to ask for glasses for the cans of soft drink we'd ordered. They did seem quite busy with takeaway orders. The food was OK but it's definitely not a night out. We spent longer in the pub afterwards!

Been regulars since olive tree opened food been good but lately not so much really gone down hill I’ve always forgiven the constant late delivery service and missing items from our orders but now food isn’t up to standard really disappointed it was great to have a different take away in the area but won’t be using again I’ve tried to give feedback directly also just told the same thing every time there busy

***Only rated it one star because I had too***Appalling experience from this place!! DO NOT RECOMMEND! Made an order through just eat and remembered that we forgot to ask for no mushrooms so I called to explain, the manager agrees to take the mushrooms out of the order and hour and 20 mins later... Foods here, however it had mushrooms in it and no chilli which I paid an extra 80p for. The fries came plain instead of peri peri fries which again I paid extra for. Called to explain and was on the phone for 9 minutes to be told they will not replace the order and that I should have ordered it through just eat correctly. At one point the manager told me to go to them and collect another order for their mistakes which is no effective way to run a business. Terrible service in my opinion. 1- we called to tell you about the changes to the order 2- you made a big deal about the mushrooms missing the point you still got the order wrong with the fries 3- I think you should start taking notice of the feedback you’re getting from your customers, as I am not the only one that seems to have had these issues.

First time using this place and had a donor meat box which came with that, fries, garlic bread and chicken and I can say it was really nice and definitly worth the money, the staff were friendly and the place inside is really nice and clean, would reccomend. 👌

Absolutely shocking service, food was a hour late tried ringing couldn't get through, luckily we had ordered through just eat so they handled it! When the food eventually arrived it wasn't worth the wait chips soggy and cold and they even managed to mess the whole order up wouldn't recommend to anyone, thanks to just eat for getting our money back though! Wish I had of looked at the review's before because this seems to be a common occurrence!

Ordered 2 ultimate donner boxes delivery was on time but so disappointed with what we got Luke warm,donner meat was awful tasted like it had been microwaved so dry, Piri piri chicken was ok nice and spicey chips soggy! We won’t be ordering again

Ordered food for delivery it took over 1 hour 40 mins to arrive when i only live around the corner. The food was so cold it was unpleasant to eat, the chips were terrible and feta cheese tasted off. Very disappointed as we were excited to try the food

Won’t be ordering again. Second time the food has taken over 2 hours to deliver. Wouldn’t recommend if you’re expecting your food within an hour, like the website states. The driver always seems to be ‘on the way’. Must be going via London or something.

Called at 7:30pm and waited 1 hour still no food. Called up and was told it was 2 minutes away, 30 minutes later I called again and was told it has just left. Ended up cancelling the order as the manager just said we are busy and offered nothing in the way of apology

Food was delivered within time scale specified. Ordered the piri piri chicken wrap which had plenty of meat and a well mixed salad. The wrap was tasty and the greek pitta bread was soft, and held its shape. Will go back again!

We recently moved to Kimberley and as such have obviously been sampling the local takeaways, with absolutely no luck....until this place! We ordered food for collection and firstly the shop is very well presented and so clean. All the staff were so friendly and engaging.
