Traditional pub, great locals, fantastic beer and good prices. Made good use of the lockdown to do updates on decor and flooring, divisors in place at the bar and a large amount of outdoor seating is available, one way system in place. Same great team as always and usual friendly welcome NEW LANDLORD!!!!!! SAME BLOKE BUT HE OWNS IT

Great village pub. Has a great no frills atmosphere.locals v friendly great pub and staff. No food but excellent to call in for pint chat and laughter, popular with walkers. Toilets very clean and openk fireplaces in colder days. Well run by Dave and his team.

We visit east Keswick a few times a year to visit family and we always end up at the old star. A really friendly team, nice drinks and a cozy comfortable atmosphere. Perfect!

Old star was amazing as usual traditional village pub with excellent bar staff unmatched service and stunningly beautiful with great sense of humour and very welcoming, real fire, good selection of drinks

David the boss and Sally his partner Chavez gone the extra mile hear every effort is made to have this as a typical village pub They have Sport on regularly Fish and Chip van visits Theme nights Parties and function in an outside marquee. And when time permits David is known to do the odd Pizza takeaway It's great in atmosphere and well worth a visit

It is typical village pub with a tap room and a lounge. The tap room has a TV and pool table it is just a drinking pub as they have no kitchen facilities for serving meals

Quiet drinking pub, with two guest ales on. (currently Tetleys - Old Star and Black Sheep) Good selection of ales, lagers and spirits. Popular with regulars and walkers. Does not serve food. But is available to hire with catering offered.

This is what a pub should be. A good selection of beers, wines, spirits, other drinks and customers. You will always be made welcome, whether by Dave (the landlord) or his excellent staff. If you don't know anyone when you go in, you will by the time you leave. This is a pub!
