Staff rather rude and defensive when we asked politely, 3 times, where one of our party's food hadn't arrived. When some of our food arrived, it was cold. We didn't feel we could ask for the food to be returned, as the staff were not approachable. It's my first night out with my friends in nearly 4 years, and I have been left disappointed. Don't think I'd return on principle.

Not sure what is going on with this resturaunt. I booked a table weeks in advance for my fiance and myself to go out for a nice meal. Despite the booking confirming booking for 2 for diner we walked in Saturday night advised we had a table booked for 2 and we got a suprise look. Asked we we would like to sit and we asked for a quiet area as music was blasting out in our ears as if in a night club not a resturaunt. When sat at our seat we were the only ones in doors and were presented with a drinks menu with no suggestion of a any food option whatsoever. Quite simply we were so shocked by this we rapidly got up and walked out of the place. Very poor service or advertising.

A must visit venue in Swansea is this stylish bar offering a wide range of drinks , including a large cocktail menu. However the main reason to visit is their own gin range, very tasty and served in good measures. The bar is stylish and service is excellent.

Visited Old Havanas today 12/08/2022. Ordered an array of different tapas, every dish was gorgeous and we both enjoyed so much. Favourite tapas was the steak cuts, butterfly chicken wraps and pulled pork crumb breaded balls! Drinks were lovely and service was quick. Lovely sunny day sipping cocktails and pints out on balcony at lunch, throughly enjoyed our visit!

Came in for my sisters baby shower. Cocktails were nice and staff were too even though there wasn’t very many of them and originally had to queue at the bar for a while. Given such a low rated purely on the food. It was awful. We paid about £10 per head i think it was for tapas. Not much of it at all so we were given extras. The garlic bread was genuinely as hard as a rock. Inedible. I went on to pay for a child’s meal as I was so hungry after the tapas and even when that came it wasn’t nice. The chicken strips were dry as anything and really didn’t even look like chicken! Onion rings greasy. The manager was really nice and gave me a drink instead but I definitely wouldn’t recommend coming here for food.

On entering the venue we stood and waited to be seated whilst numerous members of staff walked past without an acknowledgement or at least 'someone will be with you in a minute'. We thought the menu was very very limited and whilst we appreciate prices have risen considerably and tapas works out generally quite expensive, this was not value for money in any sense. We thought we would try it as we had not been before, unfortunately we will not return.

Booked this with my husband as we’ve always wanted to try here when coming to Swansea as it looks impressive from the outside. Have to say it was a complete let down. Upon entering the waiter didn’t look like he knew what was going on as he looked really confused when we said we had a booking. He couldn’t find the booking name even though we were at the top of the list. Upon being seated we were not told how we could order and with COVID restrictions changing the way dining out works, it’s essential information. It was only after a 45 minute wait with no attention from waiting staff that my husband went to the bar and was told to order via an app which would have been quite difficult considering there was no table numbers. This also explained why we kept receiving another tables order. I ended up taking their food over to the correct table, however it kept happening. We eventually got our food and drinks almost an hour and a half after being seated. Drinks were not good and the food was bland the only one that was nice was the vieja roja. Nothing about the decor or music screams Cuba. The music was so loud that you couldn’t hold a conversation. Would not go back. The only one that knew what they were doing was the bouncer on the door who was really friendly. Don’t waste your time or money.

Brilliant night. Excellent drinks and great music. Top DJ as well who was well up for celebrating my dad’s 70th!! Looking forward to going back!

For my friends joint birthday, we decided to go to Old Havana, as we have always had amazing experiences whilst visiting. From start to finish, Old Havana staff were professional, friendly, welcoming and accommodating. People rarely write reviews, especially good ones, so the staff really should be recognised for all their hard work and how amazing they are! On this occasion, we only went for drinks but I have had food at Old Havana numerous times, it is always superb, with a wide range of tasty dishes and brilliant cocktails. During my friends birthday party, the staff really were amazing. Drinks came promptly, communication was fantastic and their bubbly personalities made us feel so welcomed. Thank you for making my friends birthday so special and memorable. You all are truly outstanding. I have made a few more bookings for future events and I can't wait to come back!!

Came in on Sunday night amazing service by besher and Ethan we was absolutely blown away by there amazing hospitality. Drinks were amazing too 3 cocktails for £10 well worth it we was absolutely off our t*ys by the end of the night. Also we met another waited oasid who was lovely too. Amazing staff sensational vibes we love them all ❤️ Can’t wait to celebrate my half birthday here next Friday. The men here are really fit too, come here if your single. Amazing experience we love these people would highly recommend they even gave me some cranberry juice I love it here

Waited over an hour for drinks. Felt very sorry for the waiting staff who we had to nag constantly during our whole 2 hour slot. Made for a stressful visit and spoiled our evening. I think management need to review how you take and fulfil orders.

Good offer in terms of tapas prices (3 for £10). I was a bit disappointed with the flavour of some of the tapas. The pork and potato balls was very bland and dry (avoid). The cocktails were tasty and a select few are on offer for 3 for £10. The star of the menu was the rum pudding. The cake was warm and delicious. Served with ice cream and a caramel sauce. Hands down one of the best cake desserts I've had in a restaurant.

Ate here on Sunday food was very nice and good portions of tapas. Food was nice and warm a slight issue we had had on a prior visit was resolved. The guy serving us was a fella called blaine very nice guy attentative and helpful. It would have been nice to have known before booking or we arrived that the menu was limited on a Sunday and it was very limited at that. Over all good service good drinks nice pint of corona

I attended the venue with my wife for one of our 1st meals out after the pandemic. We chose this venue on the basis of the menu and prior reviews.We were greeted on arrival (we were early) and offered a seat indoors or out. We chose to sit outside.Initial service was prompt and despite it being tapas most of the food arrived in one.The food was lovely, however, not once did we get asked if the food was OK or for any more drinks (not sure if this was due to the re-opening etc but this was the only downfall from our visit).

We arrived later in the night and we were served by a man called Marty, he was absolutely unreal he was so nice made are night unreal! Suggested drinks and had a lot of knowledge of the menu! Give him a pay ruse now!

Came here last night. Arrived at 18:15, ordered drinks (one coke, two bottles of beer, 40 minutes go by with no sign of them turning up, have to ask again, finally they turn up 10 minutes later. We then order food, one burger and two pork sandwiches, the burger was tiny, the sandwiches we ordered were about as flat as a ruler. Two of the three meals turned up at about 19:50, so we waited for the third meal for our friend, another 10 minutes go by so our friend was sat there waiting patiently. Worst thing is it was pretty quiet. I will not ever come again and i would advise people to avoid this place unless they want to lose 3 hours of their lives!

For a bank holiday it wasn’t particularly busy, but we were ignored while trying to order drinks, food was tasty but took a long time to arrive despite the fact hardly anyone seemed to be eating. Drinks were ok. A lot of the food options weren’t available

Absolutely beautiful night. Great customer service. Jamie was an absolute sweetheart! Would definitely recommend. Great food and the drinks were just as nice. Will be visiting again!

If you want 3 cocktails - book 3 hours - not the first time it’s happened here. They are slower than Rock climbing sumo wrestlers!

Waited a little while for the food considering it was very quiet. Tapas was excellent and good value at 3 x £10. Great variety of drinks menu . Outside terrace is well equipped for showers and is dog friendly . Waiter was very friendly and helpful will visit again

It is May 2021 and there are still restrictions due to the pandemic so you can sit and consume only outdoors. Considering that we are in a country where 9 days out of 10 it rains, they are not equipped at all to accommodate customers outside since the canopy covers only a small part of the table area!It’s allowed to seat up to 6 people but tables are for a maximum of 4 people and it is pretty impossible chat with friends sitting at another table.The WORST thing was sitting on FULLY WET seat pillows in a cold afternoon!Also drink and food were nothing special

We went to old Havana in April 2021, service was really slow, we sat down and were only given drinks menus. We asked twice to be served and waited 20 minutes for someone to come and take our food and drink orders. The food came out cold, we waited over 30 minutes for drinks that hardly had any alcohol in them. We got the bill after three attempts of asking for it and they overcharged us by £10. We then proceeded to leave and on the way out we saw two men eating inside, bearing in mind this is not allowed during this time. Will not be returning.

Slowest service ever , was there 2 hours and only managed to have 2 pints of beer ! Need to sort out bartenders who do cocktails and a separate group of bartenders for simple drinks. Pint an hour is a no no

Booked with old havana as we wanted cocktails for my girlfriend's birthday. After eventually being seated we gave our order to the waitress. After waiting for over an hour for our drinks I decided to get up and wait at the welcome desk to find out if we were getting them but stood around for ten minutes until I eventually stopped the waitress to find out what was going on. (during this time a waiter and waitress had been walking round with trays to collect glasses but with no one with any drinks it was pointless, they were just waking round with empty trays). After another 15 minutes finally got our drinks and asked for the bill. Drinks werent good. Never going there again. As we entered the building we were warned by a group not to bother as they had been waiting 40 minutes to recieve their drinks. Total was of time and money. No apology, rude, we understand things are difficult if they can't cater for the customers then bring more staff in or less customers. Can't give less than one. And giving one is generous.

Very noisy party in restaurant dominating the space. 4 of us ordered tapas - part of the order for two of our group arrived, the rest took around 15 mins but was tasty when it did arrive. Ordered desserts - took 50 minutes to arrive after asking three members of staff to chase it up. Given money off the bill, but then hassle trying to sort that out.

We called in on a sunny afternoon to have a quick bite to eat.We were seated in the outdoor area. We decided to take advantage of an offer on cocktails, three for ten pounds. A little disappointed with the finished cocktails, which came in an ordinary glass and no garnish.We were looking at the food menu, when one of the waitresses sneezed (no face masks) and just carried on serving other people’s food. No attempt to use a tissue or turn her head. I think at this time it’s everyone’s duty do use a tissue and wash their hands afterwards.The staff, I have to add were young and appeared inexperienced.We decided against food at this stage.

Food was mediocre. Ordered 9 dishes on the ‘eat out to help out’ scheme. Waited 45 minutes for the food. Some dishes were just luke warm. Some staff were friendly when contact was made with them, others seemed disengaged and looked bored as there were so many of them behind the bar area. No evidence that they were even trying to be socially distanced from each other. The experience was saved by the half price bill...

Visited on a Saturday evening with family including a 4 year old was very busy but was still served quickly and tapas was good quality and tasty we did book before but overall very good visit and will return when I am in the area again I did read all the negative reviews but with the experience I received cannot fault the place atall

We visited the Old Havana on the 17th of August. We booked a table for 4 for some drinks and food as we thought we would make the most of ‘Eat out to Help out’ scheme.We really wish we didn’t bother. We ordered drinks one of which didn’t come and all the drinks that did were flat. I brought this to the attention of the staff and they took the drinks away and brought us fresh drinks... which were also flat.The food was cold and none of the staff seemed to know what they were doing, very disorganised and none of them were bothered about getting our order correct.Will not being visiting again for sure, especially not at full price.

My wife and I called in there yesterday (Tues 11th August 2020) on our way back from a lovely day out in the Mumbles.If you like non alcoholic cocktails this is the place to go, because there isn't any alcohol, or very, very little in their cocktails.Either the staff are ripping the customers off or the management is.They won't be ripping me off again that's for sure.

Me & 2 friends went on a Monday evening for tapas using the Help out to Eat out scheme, there was only around 5 tables seated. We sat at 6:30 and ordered food around 6:45. When ordering the waiter advised the food would be an hour wait, no problem as we had a drink anyway. Around half hour later the waiter came back to inform us there had been an incident in the kitchen and that our food was actually the last food order they were able to take for the evening. Ok, again no problem. An hour later... no food arrived. Along came the waiter to inform us they had run out of 3 of our dishes as they were sharing food with the restaurant downstairs (that we ordered an hour before) and he had only just found this out as he had only just put the order through ... ok so we picked another 3 items off the menu and assumed our food would not be much longer as surely the order would be put straight through now? Wrong! Another 20 minutes went by, still no food so we asked where it was? Got given a free round of drinks for the inconvenience. One of the group's calamari came on its own, followed by the rest of the food HALF HOUR later .. to then be informed we actually had the wrong table's calamari given. SO a 2 hour 10 minute wait for food ... We were eating at 9pm. My friend then asked for ketchup/sauce to be informed "something happened in the kitchen so its now closed so we cant get any sauce" ... BUT we had ordered dessert to come after our food, so how was that meant to be prepared if the kitchen was closed?? Anyway, eating at 9 so we cancelled dessert. My friend had asked a bit earlier on if we could have the gas heaters on as it was getting quite nippy sat ourside.. "No we dont actually have any gas we have run out!" .. But as 9:15pm came, the heaters above us came on, so we had sat there cold when they could have just done this the whole time. Now time for the bill, £10x2 discount, but there were 3 of us, they hadn't taken the 50% off one of our meals, then tried to argue it too, after all the inconveniece. I just would not go again and I wouldnt recommend, such a disappointment, a shame because the staff were lovely and it is not their fault that the chef/management don't know how to run a restaurant that wasnt even half full. The food was decent, wouldnt wait over 2 hours to eat it again.

Floor manager found us a table for two even though we were told there were none on the door. Food was good - bread was awful (cheap) found glass all over our beer bottle (it was in my boyfriend's mouth). Servers were lovely though no know one seemed concerned that my boyfriend just found glass in his mouth...asked for a new beer due to glass, was no problem,got the bill. Had to ask for the beer that was replaced to be removed from the bill. Wasnt received well. Won't be returning. Wouldn't recommend.

So just to start with all the added pressures of the Covid I can u defat and to a certain degree of wait times but it’s no excuse for staff being rude! We arrived as a party of 9 ordered drinks which would take 25 too 35 minutes to come, in the end we began to order our next drink and the other would come save us waiting. We ordered tapas between the table and to be purely honest they were horrible, they arrived cold and tasteless. 100% won’t be rushing to get back there anytime soon.

Food was cold and tasteless. So disappointing. Service was very slow. 20 minutes before we were served then waited 1 hour for food to arrive. Our orders kept being forgotten and I had to go up to the front of house gentleman 5 times to remind them of our order, cutlery, bill and drinks. The staff themselves were very friendly and professional. I believe it’s just poor staff organisation by the manager? Food was so disappointing. The calamari was extremely thin and was cold on arrival. There was a fine sprinkle of the sauce on the edge of the plate which amounted to less than half a teaspoonful. No point putting it on really. The patatas bravas (mojo potatoes) were just chunks of boiled potato mixed with canned chopped tomatoes. The hummus and bread came and it wasn’t actually hummus but a watery tomato based sauce mixed with oil. My friend had mussels and cockles which were also cold. My other friend had the nachos which were a handful of plain tortilla chips with a blob of salsa from a packet on top and cheese sauce from a bottle. Food tasted bland and no effort had even been made to make the food look nice. It was disgusting. I know its only £10 for 3 tapas but I would rather pay more and actually have decent food?Its obvious the owner has no passion for food and no pride in it either. The ingredients are obviously as cheap as possible to get maximum profit with no regard to the customers. What is the point in owning a bar/ restaurant with an attitude like this? The positives were that the staff were very friendly and professional. They just seemed to be poorly managed. The churros dessert was lovely. The location is fantastic as well as the decor and it was very clean.Judging by all the negative reviews the management & owner need to make some serious changes or hand this business over to someone who actually cares.

Most staff were very rude and forget, however, Jamie Bell was very helpful and ensured every table was satisfied and looked after all tables after other staff walked out and left them. Poor service but 10/10 for Jamie who looked after every table here on his own, along with the bartender who also helped, he was also very polite and looked after us all. Also, staff who were Out together helped out. We enjoy d our night and he was very helpful after management leaving their staff alone to manage the restaurant alone. Enjoyed our night, wish it was a bit more professional

Really disappointed with our visit .. the order got completely mixed up and we ended up with only half it and then had to wait for the rest ... some of the dishes where cold and very bland . We said about it to the manager but it really didn’t seem to matter that we were unhappy . We are a family of six and so to eat out is a real treat and we chose to spend our money here but wish we hadn’t as we felt our custom was not appreciated at all . Won’t be going back . Can I suggest that you take a long hard look at your business as there are some awful reviews about your food and service but it seems you aren’t taking any notice !!

I know drinks are 3 for ten so wouldn't be at a high standard but they tasted awful (, mojito)Sex on the beach was ok.I wouldn't want to completely slag the service off as 2 guys were good, just think there is no organisation there. Service was slow when it wasn't busy. This place was amazing last summer, used to come most Sundays.

We visited this week for a bar meal and a few drinks - the service was understandably a little slow though we appreciate that these are very difficult times for all small businesses getting back to some kind of normality - Though the service staff were excellent, Lucy and Shelby in particular were very polite and helpful even though they were rushed off their feet- Looking forward to visiting again in the near future

Went there with a friend for some drinks and tapas during the week and was not impressed. The service was incredibly slow, taking up to 30 mins to order a drink which then took up to another 30 mins to arrive. We were told on arrival that there was a delay on the food but if we had known that it would take over an hour for our tapas to arrive then we wouldn’t have bothered.Will not be revisiting in a hurry!

Before I start I understand the strain staff must be under working during covid but the standards of the staff bar one (Shelby) was horrific. A group of 9 attended and all paid £5 deposit to secure our place. We were attending after a family funeral as a small party. What can I say I have never met so many rude staff in my entire life. Lucy was the worst and how she has a job working with the public is beyond me. Service was slow. Often waiting half hour just to order more drinks as we couldn’t walk to the bar, I understand the circumstances but don’t offer a service if you cannot provide it. We ordered food and that took over 1 hour and half to arrive. They finally apologised when we complained and took 50% off our drinks. When food did arrive they missed out a child’s meal and about 3-4 dishes of tapas. When we complained to Lucy she give flippant comments instead of assuring us food was on the way. The child with us had to wait a further 30 minutes for his meal. No cutlery was offered for our food - which is basic. Ice cream was served with our mains but we were expected to eat ice cream with our hands. Again more flippant comments from staff (except Shelby). When it came to paying wow. What a complete mess up. Every time someone paid we had to remind them of our deposits. Also someone had to leave earlier and paid. We were apparently left with that bill but we later found out she did pay £21.37 so Old Havana have had two payments of £21.37 from us. Absolute shocking, we explained the circumstances of our visit and the service and rudeness of staff we were greeted with was appalling, again except Shelby.

I want to start by saying I understand that it’s an odd time of year but the service tonight was shocking to say the least. Not expecting speedy service but a warning would have been nice. Turned up for our pre booked table to be told there is an issue with the table but they have something available for us. Got led to a table that was sat facing a wall. So not off to a great start. At no point was it explained there may be a wait for service and with approx 40-50 people there and 4/5 staff members, I wouldn’t have thought this would have been an issue. Especially when it’s booking only so not a surprise at how many people would be there. Waited for 30 mins and no one came to take our drinks order so had to go in to order and was told someone will be along soon. A lady came to take our order, just a pint and a wine and 20 mins later, no sign of our drinks. So the table is booked for a max of 2 hours and already nearly halfway into that time slot with not so much as a sip of a drink. The plan was to have a nice evening out with some drinks and nice food. I got all dressed and glammed up to sit and stare at a wall! As we were leaving, I asked the waitress to cancel our drinks as we had been waiting for too long and there was no apology. Just an Ok! Will never be returning here again

I booked this restaurant to have some drinks in the sun but was sorely disappointed. I was there 3.5 hours and only managed to get 3 drinks as the service was so poor it was impossible to get any attention. We waited a full hour for food and watched as other tables were served before us regardless of the fact that we were in the restaurant first. There was no apology and it’s killed the mood of our night. Highly disappointed and will not be returning. Customer service needs improving big time!

Absolutely amazing night! We spent the evening after our wedding at Old Havana and was so happy with how the night went! We wanted something really relaxed and laid back which Shelby helped organise with ease. We had photographs of all our family and friends up on the projector and decorated the room with heart balloons and banners, it really looked amazing! If you are after something small(49) and personal I would HIGHLY recommend getting in touch with the venue. The words "best buffet I've ever had" was thrown about more than once - so that in itself can tell you how amazing the food was! We went for the hot buffet option which was a brilliant choice, there was plenty for everyone, different options for all ages incl children (they are allowed till 10pm) vegetarians catered for, cutlery and plates etc were also very clean, neat and tidy - full happy bellies made happy friends and family. We chose our own music which played over speakers throughout the evening. Atmosphere was great, thoroughly enjoyed and will definitely return for food every anniversary from here on! So, thank you Shelby for being fantastic last night and over the last few weeks. Michael (I'm awful at remembering names so I hope that's right) you were also so very polite and a pleasure to have around us on our lovely day. All other members of the team were pleasant, happy and cheerful, couldn't do enough to please us. Thank you all.

I visited Old Havana with friends on Black Friday. They had kindly reserved me a table and the atmosphere was fab.Cocktails were lovely as always and 3 for £10 is great. The DJ was also really good, so many good tunes. Look forward to our next visit xx

Came here for dinner on Saturday evening to find the place absolutely jam packed with parties and very loud, not what we were expecting from our previous midweek visit a couple of weeks ago. I recognised the young lady who had looked after us before putting out reserve signs and asked if they were still serving food. She informed me that there was no space but very kindly offered us a table down in the restaurant downstairs. The lady took us down and introduced us to a gentleman who showed us to a table. The food was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed. We then went back upstairs for a drink and to say thank you to the lady but didn't get a chance. Didn't get her name but she was wearing a yellow top and had blonde hair. My boyfriend and I would like to thank her for her professionalism and kindness on both occasions. We will certainly be returning.

From the moment Paulina showed us to our seats we were treated like we were her only customers, very attentive and professional. Would love to give credit to the lovely lady with dark curly hair (didn’t get her name) but she was equally helpful and considerate. The food was amazing and was brought to us piping hot unlike some other themed restaurants. I’m unsure if Catherine B visited somewhere else because our experience was amazing, definitely worth a visit, stop driving past it looking at the terrace, get a table, complimentary blanket and get your Cuba on!!

Had a small birthday party for my sons 14th, the cocktails were amazing, the food was amazing, the music and atmosphere was amazing and most of all the staff were the best! Big shout out to Paulina our server who has been a real pleasure to have the both times I’ve been there! Also Thank you very much for the birthday surprise for my son, he was really happy as were the rest of us. Will definitely come again and recommend this to anyone who drives past thinking “this place looks cool”.(The churros and sauce were something else! Do not miss out on them )

Went with a party. Starters brought to table same time as mains. In spite of ordering food in advance some people’s mains were brought after others had finished. My bean burger was tasteless and didn’t have aoli or slaw as supposed to. Cheesecake was bland , with not even a suggestion of lime or passion fruit. Won’t be going again

We came her for a little date night and thoroughly enjoyed. We were welcomed by a lovely lady who showed us to our table and appointed us a waitress, our waitress was happy and very helpful, we did find the music a bit loud as it was a restaurant and we would have liked to have a chat but nevertheless we ordered food and cocktails and I must say the food was lovely, we had tapas and although they were smaller than usual portions they did taste very good, the cocktails were fab and the atmosphere was lovely on the terrace afterwards they even gave us blankets for when the sun went down.im only now reading some of the reveiws on here and feel like we are writing about a completely different place, my experience here was lovely and I would definitely return,

My partner and I visited today and was excited to experience some different cuisine to what we are used to,instead, it was like going to a cafe and paying over the odds for the same type of food as you would get in a cafe. For what we paid we expected more and was left disappointed.Will not be returning here and we are regulars in the food industry.

Food was outstanding. Amazing drinks offers! Waiters serving our table even when we went outside just for drinks. It was lush! No need to queue at the bar because the waiters do everything for you. Drinks are delicious with fresh fruit in their cocktails in the offer. Definitely my favourite bar

Highly recommend Old Havana the staff were great very welcoming and helpful with recommendations and letting us know all the deals. Cocktails were lovely and plenty to choose from. We had food some had the taps and some had a main meal we all enjoyed. Good value and tasty food. Nice atmosphere and even though it was very busy we still had great service. Looking forward to visiting again.

Tapas portions quite measly. Cocktail deals OK, and so are larger meals, nice environment, but I would not go back for food.

I actually went to "The Old Havana" in December last year and it was the worst experience of eating in a non-local restaurant. The atmosphere was not Cuban (or at least Latin American) at all, just very, VERY loud American music. The food was below mediocre, NOT CUBAN, OR REMOTELY CLOSE TO Cuban cuisine and culture. The menu had curry (NOT Cuban), and tortillas (MEXICAN). The "papas rellenas" were just fries with cheese and bacon on top, totally soggy and disgusting, did not even touch it. The "congri" was just plain rice. No tostones, no Cuban sandwich, I could go on forever! I have no idea who on earth decided to open a basic "pub" and name it Cuban restaurant 'with authentic Cuban food'...... AND too expensive for pre-made frozen food (the curry was definitely frozen).I'm definitely sure that the chef is not even Cuban, because they wouldn't make and prepare this 'food' - if you want to call it that.My husband is Cuban, and a chef - we were expecting the actual Cuban experience.Only the mojitos were ok.I checked your website to see if the menu changed, and -surprise- it doesn't work!I also left a review on your FB page, and nobody bothered to reply, not even apologize and ask more details on our experience.DO YOUR HOMEWORK before you decide being an entrepreneur in the food industry and especially before opening a foreign-food restaurant!

1. Non professional getting, no one really to greet you and sit you. 2. Both our 3 for £10 small plates came out with the 1 main, I say one main because they forgot about my main meal. 3. Something simple as chips were not cooked and hard, you could clearly see they weren't cooked as they were practically white. Anyone checking before leaving to be served? 4. Would not return

We recently visited this restaurant on the spur of the moment on a Thursday evening a few weeks back, having had a good previous experience. Unfortunately the night turned into a bit of a nightmare for our food experience.The staff were pleasant, as were the surroundings, but the menu is quite limited and expensive. Me and my daughter opted for the Duck main meal, whilst my wife chose the salad with sweet potato fries.The meal took almost 45 minutes to arrive, but as were enjoying a nice chat we were ok to wait, albeit there were only 8 other people eating the same time.When it did arrive we were so disappointed. The duck had been served on 'Noodles' which I am sorry just didn't work and for £17.95 we did expect a bit more than that. But the apparent duck breast was dreadful, not only was it covered in fat but the minute quantity of duck that was there, was of such a poor quality that both myself and my daughter took just one bite before deciding we could not eat it.My wife's salad was no better and it had been covered in an oil that completely took away any other taste with her dish.As mentioned, we had waited patiently for our meal hoping that it would have been up to the standard that we had previously received, but this was absolute rubbish, not only for the way it had been cooked and presented, but the quality of the meat that was cooked was criminal.As the waitress was nowhere in sight and were so disappointed I took the 2 Duck meals up to the bar and told the bar man who had seen us to the table that we could not eat it and asked for the bill for our drinks.He was understanding and I settled the bill without realising that he had charged us for the salad, which was also appalling.A few days later I phoned the restaurant and asked to speak to the manager as I wanted to express my disappointment and discuss the evening's events. A nice guy took my message and promised to pass on my message to one of 3 Managers the restaurant apparently has. I am not the type of person to go straight on trip advisor and moan but wanted to give him a chance to explain.However, it has now been over 3 weeks and I still have not had a reply, so as I have a spare 20 minutes and still feel aggrieved by the whole episode, I thought I would warn other genuine potential customers to be wary of spending their well earned money in this Restaurant as it is obvious that they do not care enough to firstly serve good quality and good value food, but also do not care to respond to their customer's complaints and have the decency to call back and resolve the issues at hand.Hence we will not be returning to this rip off restaurant again for food which is so disappointing as it has the potential to be one of Swansea's best, but not with this management and chef!!

Emsie served us the nicest mojios in the lovely swansea sunshine on the balcony , would recommend . Food was great on the balcony

Jack and Emily behind the bar were extremely friendly throughout. Nothing was too much trouble, great drinks choice and food was great! Definitely recommend!

Beautiful quirky decor and lovely to sit outside on the balcony. The waitress was really friendly and helpful. The food was good and we thought the lunchtime 3 tapas for £10 was reasonable.

Today we visited havana bar as it looks so nice on the outside and seems to have a nice atmosphere, but dont be fooled like me. We first came in and could see it was busy but not too busy not to get a table. We only wanted drinks and were told by a very nice man to pick any table no problem. So we sat down then went to the bar and bought some drinks taking advantage of the 3 4 1 deal on drinks. Whilst we were having our drinks made a young man with green hair was talking inappropriately to another member of staff quite disgusting what he was saying. And he was quite rude to another young lady behind the bar taking her jug whilst she was still making our drinks and spilt some of the drinks on the bar as he needed the jug for the blender. Mo attempt to remake the drinks was made so didnt have the full drinks we had ordered. Also the young lady behind the bar kept complaining mainky about havibg to work with a bad arm to other member of staff behind the bar. We eventually took our drinks and sat down as once we had drunk 1 of the 3 of our drinks we were told quite abruptly by a female bouncer we had to move as the table was booked and then slapped a reserved bit of paper on the table. We were told we could go downstairs, but as there was no other tables to move to at that time and no assistance with our drinks either. It felt like we were being thrown out. We then went to the balancony to try and find a seat but there was none, struggling to carry our drinks, to then be told we could then go back to our table. This was appalling service after we had bought our drinks, and with being mistreated so badly we will not be returning again.

Iv never been so disappointed.8 of us booked a table 1 month in advance and paid a £5 depsit each. On arrival we were all places on a table suited for 5 people. Our waitress was so rude. She told us it was busy so we would just have to order at the bar.(that was crazy busy).She finally agreed to taking at least our first drinks order... Then replied with 'you have to order at the bar after this because my shift has finished' but an hour later she was serving people still.Our food was awful. The worst food iv ever seen. We didn't even eat it. The nachos where soggy. I would never ever go back here again.

Chose this place as convenient for pre cinema drinks and foodOur expectation of food and drink was not high so we were not disappointed ... mojitos were gluggable and food edible - nothing to complain about and nothing to write home about either The service on the other hand from Paulina and Emsie blew us away.. they couldn’t do enough to make us feel welcome... top rating food establishments could learn a lot from these individuals.. thank you for looking after us

We went here on a Saturday afternoon for a light lunch. Pauline was our waitress, she was lovely and very polite and friendly. We ordered the 3 for 1 cocktails as their was three of us it worked out well, I was surprised although to much ice in them all three were really strong and a good size. We ordered the sharing platter to share and nachos. The food took a really long time, if honest the couple next to us were saying that had already waited 20 minutes (it still wasn't there after this time) and when we arrived their were the only ones in the restaurant bit, the rest were drinkers or had finished their food. Ours took about 30 minutes which for nachos and a sharer it was pretty long. It was ok, nothing amazing I have had better food, so don't think I would go back for food but would for drinks. Although not Paulina's fault the service was really slow, the drinks and food which obviously she has to wait for them to be done took ages from ordering to arriving. I think more staff is needed on a Saturday lunch! This place is lovely for some cocktails so in future would just come back for them.

I spent 2 months organising my daughters 21st birthday party, pre paid for drinks, traveled from Bristol and Chepstow, booked hotels .....only to have to leave an hour into the party as her sister was 17. I’ve searched the website and no where does it say that was the policy. There were at least 3 opportunities to say. During phone calls or emails that were exchanged, On booking, when I paid, when we arrived and they gave her an under 18 wrist band....but no they chose to ask her to leave whilst I was checking into the hotel. The girl on duty - Shelby was unapologetic, obnoxious and rude. To have travelled 2 hours and needlessly paid for hotels literally ruined the whole night for everyone. You only turn 21 once......sadly it’ll be remembered for the wrong reasons. Disgraceful

Lovely people and nice place with a cool location but don't be fooled for the 3-4-1 drinks, they're oh so tiny and I don't remember them being so small so be warned

After booking for a birthday on Friday, we were welcomed very warmly and the atmosphere and the DJ was amazing. The drinks were so reasonably priced and good for value. A note has to be said about our brilliant waitress Emsie who couldn't do enough for us, from keeping the drinks flowing to being so attentive throughout the evening, taking group photos for us and providing quite possilbly the best birthday shot I have ever received, and then going above and beyond by recommending places when we were leaving. Thank you Emsie, you really made it special.

Booked to go to Old Havana for a birthday with friends and had the best night - the service was great, our server was Emsie and nothing was too much for her, she went above and beyond to make our night the best it could be! Amazing atmosphere and reasonably priced drinks, we especially enjoyed the 3 for 1 cocktails! Would return again and again, an amazing place!

I would absolutely reccomend Old Havana if your looking for an extra special and stylish private function room and terrace. Recently held my daughters Big Birthday Party there and it was absolutely wonderful,Ross S arranged a smooth, trouble free party, nothing was too much trouble and everything was just perfect and even better than I ever hoped for. Cocktails were amazing and outside terrace on such a beautiful evening was the icing on the cake. Thank you Ross for making such a Special Family Occasion Perfect and for going above and beyond to ensure this happened.

We booked this restaurant a week in advance of Mother's day. My son is a student at Swansea university and had eaten here on 2 previous occasions and recommended we try it out. Sadly our dining experience last Sunday fell way short of our expectations. Starters are priced at £4.50 each or £10.00 for 3. We ordered 4 to share, calamari, chicken wings, spiced mushrooms and nachos. Whilst the calamari was palatable, the majority of the mushrooms were not the button mushrooms described on the menu but large ones cut up and according to my son tasted completely different to those he had enjoyed here before. The nachos consisted of a few tortilla chips covered in tomato and cheese sauce that can only have come directly out of a jar or bottle and the chicken wings (there were only 2!) had not been heated through properly and we had to send them back to the kitchen. These starters are clearly overpriced for the amount of food you are getting and I can honestly say they are the most awful starters I have ever eaten.When it came to main courses, 3 out of the 4 of us chose to have ribs but shortly after ordering the waitress informed us that they had in fact run out of ribs and we would therefore have to chose again from the menu. The menu is not particularly extensive and further choice was therefore limited. In addition, service was ridiculously slow. Although the waitress offered us a jug of water she didn't bring it to the table and we had to ask her for it again. We had been in the restaurant for a whole hour before our starters turned up and as they had been so disappointing, having waited another 15 minutes without any sign of our main courses and the fact that for 3 of us they didn't have our first choice of main meal we decided to leave. I spoke to the manager before we left who explained that they share their kitchen with the restaurant downstairs which had been fully booked. According to him, bookings at Old Havana came in late and there was no time to pull in extra kitchen staff. Not an excuse for running out of ribs and in my opinion a lame reason for being understaffed. Any restaurant manager will expect to be busy on Mother's day and as such should staff up or stop taking bookings knowing that they were unable to provide a satisfactory standard of service. The manager said that someone would be in contact with me to discuss a further visit to demonstrate that the service we received on Sunday was not indicative of their usual standards. 48 hours have passed and no contact has been made. Reviews for this place appear to be mixed but those less favourable reviews do not appear to have been commented on by a representative of the restaurant which makes me wonder whether they actually care. The one star I have given this review would be for the drinks we had - the cocktails were well made but I can say little else positive about this experience.

Went here for a night out with the girls Friday 29th. We had a blast, great music, wide range of cocktails with some really wild flavours, loved the peanut butter one Biggest highlight was the staff, especially the lady manager. She came to table to apologize and tell us she had to stop the 3-4-1 offer 10 minutes early due to lack of staff and stock. All the girls in my group totally understood, it was really busy and all the staff were so polite but clearly struggling to keep up with the demand.Special short out to Michael and the lady manager, you both took so much abuse from that awful, obnoxious cow! You both were so professional and polite throughout dealing with her...I had to stop a few of my girlfriends from slapping her for you lol. You were fantastic, thank you for an amazing night xxxxx

We came here for some lunch today and even though we didn't book, the lady who was looking after us found us a lush table in the sun on the terrace and was great, keeping on top of our drinks orders and was just the most amazing host!!!! The 3-4-1 cocktails were absolutely brilliant!!! We left to go elsewhere after a few hours but ended back in Old Havana just because the staff were so lovely. We were seen to by a couple of the girls working and they were all absolutely amazing. Literally cannot fault anything about our visit!! Make sure you get here early to get a spot in the sun!! So refreshing to be served by people who clearly love their jobs and actually care about their customers. Fav place in swansea. The is Old Havana xx

Booked in advance 2 months ago for a 40th birthday party @ 7pm 18 people. We turned up at 7pm waited 20 mins only to be told that happy hour had ended...odd has happy hour means 1 hour not 30mins or because they couldnt be arsed to honour this... We had our deposit back..and went to lad iguanas and are served straight away..What a waste of time..don't bother booking and go somewhere else....

Nice clean premises with pleasant atmosphere. Curried chicken with rice was very tasty, chips were perfect as was the side order of garlic bread with cheese. Service was par excellence. Attentive staff who were always smiling.

First visit for an amazing party, great food, atmosphere and rustic decor. Highly recommend for social get together and party location. Friendly and helpful staff. Offers on selection of drinks too.

Visited Old Havana on Tuesday to sit on the gorgeous terrace area in the sun. The food we ordered was delicious and the portions were really generous. We took advantage of the 3-4-1 cocktails deal! Nothing better than having 3 delicious strawberry daiquiris for £7.95! Could have happily spent all day there. Such an amazing place.

We went out for the rugby and early birthday celebration 09/02/19. Really enjoyed our meal.. our seats right by the big screen & the atmosphere there was great. Wasn’t too crowded. Our food was great everyone at our party was very happy with everything. Our lovely waitress was so sweet and kind, she kept checking in on us keeping us topped up. We are all planning on another visit very soon. Overall very pleased.

Pre Booked and paid a deposit for a table to watch the rugby, everything was fine! We ordered our drinks which was 3-4-1, when we got our drinks we were missing 1, we pointed this out to the waitress who went to the bar to ask about another one being made. The lady behind the bar was adamant that she had made the correct amount and that the drink must of been misplaced on another table. After waiting for the missing drink for a while, one of our party went up to the bar to ask about it. The lady behind the bar with a bad attitude replied ‘I have to check the cctv’. As if we had tried to pull a fast one! A manager later came over with the cocktail and said there wont be any checking of the cctv and the problem was resolved, everything was fine until we requested to order a birthday suprise for one of our friends.. the lovely waitress sorted this out for us, we waited for the ‘suprise’ to come until the same rude lady from behind the bar came over with spoons and napkins radio’in over to the manager asking which table was the desserts to go to (this was meant to be a surprise). The woman asked who’s birthday it is and my friend explained that it was meant to be a surprise and the reply was ‘oh well it’s gone now’ whilst laughing. Then the ‘suprise’ was brought out by other staff who clearly seen what had happened. Really annoyed by this we had a word with the manager who took off the price of the desserts From the bill but no apology from the bar lady. The managers did deal with the situation and apologise which we are greatful for. But due to the bar lady being so rude we will not be returning.

Went for brunch with some friends and the food was incredibly underwhelming for the price (see photos) - I paid £7.50 for 3 pancakes and 2 unappetizing pieces of bacon. You can upgrade to bottomless brunch, which means unlimited refills of your dish, for a £15 supplement which seems quite steep for what you're actually getting. Service was fine and setting was nice, but food was poor - don't bother.

Visited Sat 5th of January 2018 after a day out with the family. CubanMenu looked simple and effective on the wall outside. The inside of the venue is very smart waitress was polite. On arrival of the food, we were totally shocked to Receive the food it looked absolutely disgusting, the kids chips & chicken nuggets were black and the deep fat fryer oil hadn’t been changed. My partner sent her food back on arrival due the state of it and then she had a Nando’s on the way home. Stay away if you like nice food as this place is a total let down.

Called in with a friend on a night out for a drink. Lovely place, nice atmosphere, good crowd. People chatting and enjoying, music playing at a decent level. Just got a second round in and all of a sudden a change of music and blaring out....everyone went quiet and looked around I think we all thought some announcement or Happy Birthday was about to begin.. but no just carried on..... so loud you could not hear anyone talking. What I think was the manager (dressed as Santa) came passed and we asked him what happened to the music? Three times of shouting he finally heard what we said (which proved a point) ..... the DJ is here now, he shouted and signed that he would get it turned down... did he, no of course not.... so that was the end of our visit - no more drinks there and we were not the only ones that left. Music is great but people do want to talk so to have it blaring like a 70s disco is just stupid and of course a danger to your hearing.

We went on a wet and windy evening, there was a very loud birthday party downstairs but we were upstairs so it didn't bother us. we had a young lad serving us and he was very helpful. He explained the cocktails to us and the foods we asked about. We were served very quickly, the food was delicious and plenty of it. It is probably a little dark upstairs for some people, but we liked it. Will definitely go again. The door staff were friendly too.

A wonderful evening was spent here on a Friday night in chilli November.Our server, Casey, was friendle and attentive even though the bar was quite full. Our drinks were topped and plenty of blankets were made available.When Casey went off shift, Emsie took over and the excellent service continued.Great atmosphere, great cocktails and fab service!! Visited on November 9th for food with 3 others. Were a little dubious when we arrived as there were a lot of drinkers and the music was very loud, but we were showed to a table on a little mezzanine that was a bit quieter. The decor was lovely, and our waiter Casey was fantastic: fun, chatty & attentive: he's a credit to the place.We ordered a meat sharing platter with sweet potato fries, a chicken burger and a steak. All the food was incredible! Meat sharing platter had slices of steak, chicken wings, amazing mini Cubanos sandwiches, papa rellenas (which I'd never heard of but am now obsessed with) and some spicy sausage that were not on the menu but definitely a welcome addition! The paprika aioli was lush, as were the other two meals that came out. Only downside was there were no black beans with the steak.I was very disappointed they had no sweet sweet pastry available, as that was actually one of the reasons I picked this place, but the sundaes we had were to die for. Knicka Boca Cuba, Chocolate brownie and Churros Sundaes; yum!Their strawberry mojitos are also incredible. Will DEFINATELY be returning, one of my favourite restaurants in Swansea! And thank you again to Casey for making sure our experience was as great as it was.

Had food here with my wife and two friends. The food was very overpriced - It was essentially pub food at inflated prices. £12 for a curry that was something a pub would serve for £4.95.Only one main vegetarian option too - veggie burger.Service was decent but not special.Wouldn't recommend - avoid.

My husband and I went to the Old Havana for the first time. My husband had the steak and I had the prawns. Both loved it. All be it, a couple more prawns would've been nice! Mainly cos they were so lush. The staff were really nice too and we'll definitely be going again.
