There are many nice pubs in the local area, but sadly this definitely isn't one of them. Usually populated almost exclusively by yobs/chavs, on my last visit there was also an Alsatian dog left to wander around, including the children's playground. I've lived in Fleckney most of my life & have never known this pub resemble the state it is today. It's a shame because under the right management, it could be fantastic.

A very welcoming, nicely refurbished pub. The staff are lovely and as my husband and myself use walking sticks, as we are disabled, the bar lady offered to carry our drinks outside for us which was great. It's all very Covid friendly and you either sign in on the app or QR code or fill in the form for track and trace on arrival. Hand sanitizer is on the signing-in table and also in the toilets which were nice and clean. Social distancing is adhered to throughout the pub, in the toilets and also outside where tables with parasoles are placed apart accordingly. It was table service only for orders but we weren't kept waiting long at all. They also had some delicious, freshly made cobs available and were well wrapped on the bar. There is a lovely, large grassed, well maintained family garden with a slide, rope swing and slide etc. There is also a smaller patio area too at the back of the pub with a designated smoking area to one side. The pub is dog friendly with outside drinking water available for the dogs. There is also a carpark to the front of the pub.. This place really seems to cater for everybody as far as I could see. Will definitely be recommending it and going back soon. 😎😘

Can't hear yourself in the bar with very loud music, and beware the garden has lots of dog poo in it. The beer was okay.....

The pub looks reasonable from outside (apart from the ‘live football’ billboard), but venturing inside, we felt we were in Moe’s Tavern with the length of the bar lined by bar-flies! It was not inviting, so we headed elsewhere.

Midweek lunchtime visit. Very welcoming landlady and friendly clientele. Quiet, comfortable, doggie friendly village pub with cosy little eating areas. Typical pub food, recently introduced by new management, was freshly cooked, very reasonably priced and nicely presented. Have every intention of now going more often!

Came to have a quiet drink with the family, bar staff friendly shame about some of the homophobic clientele. Won't be visiting again, avoid if LGBTQ, some people can't seem to keep their opinions to themselves. Very backwards.

Food was lovely and I have always enjoyed everything I have ordered, but this week I found a thin metal wire in my food. Hopefully it won’t happen again.

Had a family meal out here and it was good. We made a mistake with our booking and booked for Saturday when we meant Friday but they were very accommodating and squeezed us in. I will definitely return again.

Fairly disappointing really! ### Response to Reply I am sorry you cant take honest feedback! After hundreds of reviews and over 300,000 views on them this is the first time I have be called overbearing, had a bad tone or manner (and which one of the 4 of us are you referring too). This is just to save face and be personal! Our table was polite in the way we raised the numerous issues and I feel that if you can not take honest feedback then this is a shame and it show that you are unwilling to learn from your customers bad experiences! I do however concede that Kilworth house has increased their prices since we last went but it was still a much more pleasant experience regardless of the amount you pay! As for posting on this platform, that is what is here for. Thank you ================================ So 4 of use went for afternoon tea today and was treated by a lovely lady who explained the cakes and what's included. First of all would you pay £36 for this tier of food, 4 triangles of sandwiches, 2 scones, cream, Jam and a choice of cake. Some crisps and a few strawberries and blackberries? This is £18 a head .... hmm The crisps were soft and clearly been opened and stored in the fridge. The filling on and sandwiches was minimal, apart for the tuna. The scone was OK and the Rocky road had a hint of chocolate but not very tasteful. The first server went home sick and we had no check back or water we asked for until the manager came over and offered us £10 off the bill. Which was nice. However when we came to pay we got charged for 5 afternoon teas at £80!!! Ouch We did raise this and was refunded. It was all just a bit hard work. Asking for things several times, soft food! Billed incorrectly! All just very unorganised. I have had much better from Kilworth House ..... sorry!
