Okra Lounge in Woking

Made a special trip to go yesterday (Friday) lunchtime but they were closed despite showing open on Google. No note on the door to show any exceptional reason for being closed, so seems they just close randomly on a whim.

Lovely new Turkish restaurant. We really enjoyed our meal . Hope to return soon

We were very pleased that we chose here vs some other restaurants close by for a long awaited night out and catch-up; genuinely friendly service, nothing too much trouble and the food - more Turkish than mediterranean, was absolutely gorgeous. All was freshly prepared and you know that it is because the back wall in the main dining area is glass, so you can see the kitchen and chefs taking great care in their prep and cooking, and also see how clean the zone is. We had various drinks during the evening, a couple of us were on the Prosecco too and I asked our server if I could keep the bottle as it was really usual and I was thinking it would look pretty with some festive type dried flowers. Not only did he take it away 'to clean it up' but when it was returned, it had some lovely fairly lights in! What a lovely touch! Needless to say we will definitely be back - our new go-to destination when heading to West Byfleet.

Such a lovely place the food was amazing, and the staff was very friendly and polite, we went in 10 minutes before closing they accepted us to serve us food and drinks. 100% we will be back soon ❤️

Great service and amazing food. We went on an evening with entertainment and music which added to our fun. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food and delicious cocktails. Incredible lamb beyti (grilled lamb wrapped in a tortilla, sliced then coated in a tomato sauce with a heap of yoghurt) and delicious baklava. This is a wonderful find and I want to try everything on the menu!

Good lively restaurant with great staff. Everyone enjoyed their food but maybe I ordered the wrong thing. Lamb shish was very expensive for six very small tough pieces of lamb! Next time will order the chops, they looked amazing.

We visited this restaurant for the first time with my daughter and son-in-law recently. It was busy and very noisy, particularly with a 'hen' party going on. One of the waiters did apologise for the noise, but it made conversation difficult, as I struggle to hear what people are saying with a lot of background noise. Unfortunately, I wasn't very impressed with the dish I had ordered, as the chicken was quite tough. I hadn't said anything to the rest of our party, but my husband thought so too and commented on it when he sampled some of my dish. He did say, however, that his beef meal was ok.

As soon as we walked in we got welcomed at the door, amazing customer service. Food was really good, I will definitely recommend. Restaurant is very clean and very hygienic.

Had a brilliant time at The Ocra Lounge for my mums hen do and what a great night we had! Food amazing, staff lovely and attentive. So accomodating! They hired a DJ for us too she was brill! highly recommended! So accommodating

So glad to have discovered this little gem, the food is so good and top quality! They have a lovely restaurant with a nice atmosphere and the owner also seems very nice ! They are also on Deliveroo, definitely recommend you check them out

I would have given everything as top star rating but had a bad experience as well. Last night we had a team dinner where the server was particularly asked to tell us “ vegetarian/ vegan” dishes ( PS for starters as it was platter) he spotted the options for us. I was not told that Taramasalata has fish contents- me being vegetarian unknowingly had that and the worst thing was it caused severe allergy just after an hr or so. It was a stressful experience at the end. If the server would have been very specific about contents i think this could have been avoided.

Visited Okra Lounge last night, finally authentic Turkish food has finally come to West Byfleet in Surrey. Delicious fresh food, lots of fun dancing afterwards. Staff really attentive. Can't wait to return!

Had dinner last night, it was lovely. Set menu is good value for money between 2. The selection of cold meze followed by grilled meats was more than enough for us. Nice cocktails. Friendly and attentive staff. It was busy, but in a good way and all food came out freshly grilled and hot. We’d definitely go back.

Waooowww what a fantastic restaurant,food,service and atmosphere. We went group of us on saturday and we had fabulous night with music and dance. Thank you very much to okra lounge. Thats what west byfleet needed. Please carry on what you doing guys.

Just had an absolutely amazing meal from okra lounge We had chicken shish, children’s chicken shish, lamb iskender and veggie beyti as a takeaway, it was all absolutely delicious, especially the yogurt, I could eat that every day! Even the kids plates were cleared! A discount was applied for collection from the restaurant We will definitely be ordering again!

Absolutely lovely staff and welcomed us straight away and good banter - came here once and the food was irresistible . Kofe and set menu was the perfect size for any party 100 % reccomend for anybody (couples families) will definitely be coming back thank you! :)

Good meal, if a bit pricey. Atmos, was, for me, a bit too nightclub like. Turkish coffee was unsweetened, and no option was offered. A good though not outstanding venue. Better for groups, rather than duos, I'd think. Cocktails were ace.

Wow, fantastic. A good variety of dishes with something to suit all tastes. We all had very different main meals and all tried a bit of each others, none of them disappointed and I'm looking forward to coming back and trying some of the other choices available. For me personally, the home made baklava was the highlight, I love the stuff but there's is on another level. Thank you for the friendly service and the fantastic food, we will definitely see you again soon.

Lovely place with delicious Turkish Food. My hubby was happy to see Efes which is Turkish Draft Beer. Nice hot and cold starter selection and tasty meat. Portions are well enough, price was affordable. Service was good and we really enjoyed it 😀😀

Really nice Turkish restaurant in West Byfleet. Genuine article. Good friendly service reasonable prices. Just needs to add a real Turkish wine to the wine list.

We had a wonderful meal here last Saturday, great service and lovely food, we can't wait till our next visit , the staff are great , they are Ayhan the manager and Ali the waitress ,if you like Turkish food then please give it a try.

Ordered various starters.. all lovely. Shared a mixed meat grill with my friend- that was huge & delicious. Friend’s daughter had king prawns in a tomato sauce, she said was yummy. Finished with Turkish coffee in traditional cups and mint tee, which I loved. Owners were informative/helpful. Can’t wait to go back, esp when they have the live music nights. Will be recommending to friends. A great addition to West Byfleet 👍
