Ojo Rojo in Bournemouth

Fantastic service Went for a drink in the afternoon and had a look at the menu. Staff were really friendly so when we had a mishap with a booking elsewhere we went back to see if there was a table for dinner. Advised there would be a wait but we were happy to sit at the bar for a bit and they found us a table. The food was really good and service personable and with a smile. Fully recommend a visit.

Wow, great cocktails! I didn't have food but the drinks were really good. You can tell they know a lot and care about the ingredients they are using. I had the Yollotl, it was a unique taste but really nice. I stayed until late night happy hour when selected cocktails are £8 and I had a margarita.

Mexican street food, food was ok, but thought a little bit expensive. Have eaten authentic Mexican food with family in Mexico and food was similar. Drink wise more focus on cocktails, than lager selection.

Awful, very unwelcoming. Walked in and went to join my friends in the restaurant. As I started walking a very passive aggressive gentleman “Ashley” abruptly said hello behind me. ( I hadn’t seen him as I walked in) I said that I was joining my friends, he snorted “okay”. I sat down and all my friends Informed me that he had been rude to them since they arrived. We came for the quiz night and food but made the decision to spend our money somewhere else where we felt more welcome. Very disappointed that this place that we’ve all come to many times treats loyal customers like this. Unfortunately we will be spreading the word to not bother with ojo rojo.

We had a table booked today for the quiz, we arrived early (6pm ish) to an empty restaurant to be told that there’s not a big enough table for 6 people and we won’t be able to all eat. We understood that our table wasn’t ready until 7:45 but told we could have drinks until the current table was needed - not a problem . We were served by Ashley, possibly the rudest, obnoxious, bad mannered man I have ever met. He was completely passage aggressive with every comment, laughing and b*tching about us to his ‘friends’ at the bar, rolling his eyes when we weren’t ready for a drinks order and shaking his head when another friend of ours came to join us. This was completely unprovoked on a group of us attending the weekly quiz and dinner, we felt no choice but to eat somewhere else and not return for the quiz. If the £18 chicken wings don’t put you off then this man serving you certainly will. I can safely say we will not ever return to Ojo Rojo again after feeling so uncomfortable in a member of staffs presence. Thanks again Ashley

My wife and I went to Ojo Rojo recently for lunch. We love Mexican food and this was solid choice. Best thing about restaurant was the great service and cocktail menu. The food was average but not bad. Margarita and paloma were great cocktails. The nachos were the best food that we had - stacked high with lot of different toppings. Indoor and outdoor seating options.

The food was well presented and delicious. There is a large selection of drinks including cocktails which were very tasty. Staff were friendly and helpful. The deco and atmosphere were great.

The food was fantastic, all arriving at different times it allowed us to try everything slowly and really enjoy it. Great atmosphere in all the restaurant sections (up, down and outside) and fantastic cocktail menu too. Can't wait to come back and try more things! I have a wheat allergy, there was loads of gluten free food I could eat and felt confident eating it too. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Really disappointed. Nachos with hardly any cheese and bland as well as the tacos. Just very underwhelming and not what i expected at all. The cocktails were good but wouldn't recommend overall and don't think we will be returning.

We visited Ojo Rojo last week as a family. Our waitress was Courteney who was super friendly, efficient and knowledgeable about both the food and cocktail menus. Between us we ordered a selection of the tapas and without exception they were all 10/10. We're hoping our eldest gets in to Uni in Bournemouth so that we can revisit.

Go here!!!! We stumbled across this and holy hell it was worth it. Very affordable and the food was INSANE. The vibe was immaculate 10/10 would recommend.

Food wasn’t very nice and very small portions. The drinks we received were pretty awful as well and we had to send them back. The manager was very helpful though.

Visited here on a whim while visiting the area. The outdoor area was great with heaters and nice seating. Both of our cocktails weren’t great to be honest but the food was amazing. The vegan tacos were the best we’ve ever had! The staff were friendly but the one person who served us the food had very long fingernails which felt rather unhygienic!! Overall a good place :)

Visited for the 1st time after wanting to visit for a whole, sad very disappointed, waitress seemed like she didn’t care what we wanted and when ask to make simple modifications to a dish. Plates arrived chipped and food lukewarm not even that hot. Staff also walked around with out masks the whole time. The food was nice and tasty but I was let down by everything. Don’t seem my self coming back anytime soon

We booked online and based our decision on previous reviews left by others .... and Ojo-Rojo did not disappoint! We arrived 20 minutes early, but that was not a problem as our table was ready! We were greeted with two glasses of bubbles to acknowledge our wedding anniversary which was just a lovely gesture.The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Staff were friendly and attentive and the restaurant provides a warm friendly vibe! Thank-you for a lovely evening, we would highly recommend.

This was our first getaway in over a year time, visiting Bournemouth. We stumbled upon this fantastic restaurant and my oh my how lucky we were! First time visiting a restaurant in a year as well and the experience was bliss. They made time and a free table for us, they squeezed us in between 2 slots (we had not booked). The cocktails were amazing, as was the food. So delicious. The staff is exceptionally nice and helpful. If we are to visit Bournemouth again, we will definitely be back!

Was underwhelming (understatement), waitress lied about the portion sizes, said 3 portions, and 2 tacos arrived. Chicken tacos need serious improvement, dry as the Sahara, had barely any sauce. Wasn't warm at all and could eat all 3 in one mouthful, my genitalia was larger than the entire meal and the drink combined, I know it was only £6.50 but never felt more mugged off, dignity of customer should be a priority ojo rojo. I don't wanna feel mugged off when j go out to eat. I wanna be satisfied and well fed. I will recommend this restaurant to my friends are clouded by delusion, because that's the type of people that would enjoy this place. Ojo rojo, more like go to another restaurant, any restaurant.

Really amazing outside area, with a great atmosphere and amazing drinks. Personally I am not keen on the food but couldn’t recommend this as a cocktail bar enough.

Such good service and amazing food! We had the tacos, potato wedges, nachos and the dessert burrito with plenty of cocktails. Rhys was so lovely and informative, giving us plenty of advice on the best cocktails. Overall, an absolute pleasure!

Unfortunately the level of taste of the food want as expected compared to before the lockdown.. really disappointed, the food was tasteless, the nachos were stale and the tacos quantity was of 2 compared to 3 before for the same price and didn’t taste good... so sad that this restaurant, which was one of my favourite, serves food like this now.. however people were nice and understanding when we raised the issues... unfortunately I don’t recommend going there anymore, and won’t go back anymore sadly...

Amidst a lot of new restrictions and a completely different atmosphere than I’m used to I chose Ojo Rojo as my go to venue for drinks, meals, dates and spontaneous nights out due to the service and patience I received as a customer. As a sweetener the snackable menu and quality beverages made the choice an easy one to stick by. I found the staff very patient and accommodating especially the general manager Caitlin who has served me a few times and made me and my associates feel very welcome.

Visited here late December (when we were still allowed to meet outside)From entering Ojo Rojo was impressed from the start of their adherence to Covid rules. We checked in "track & trace" & we were 2 households were taken to our outdoor table.What an amazing job they have made of their outdoor space. Very impressive. Really christmassy & cozy with heaters & well spaced tables.We ate from their tapas menu. Food was daily small in portion size, but was enough. Was very tasty.Overall very impressed & hope to revisit once restaurants are re-opened.

Visited in August after Googling for restaurants with Vegan options and Ojo Rojo was recommended. The food was so good that we visited again last week when we were staying in the area. We had tacos, Vegan Nachos, sweet potato fries and vegan chuffle. Everything was delicious. Cocktails are great too, but a little expensive for what you get.

Really nice laid back service, good food and drinks with many options. Support this great local business.

We ate outside on the Hacienda and the food and drink was excellent. Staff were fantastic, attentive and knowledgeable. A really good experience and we will certainly come back!

Firstly the staff were amazing especially our waiter Levi outside!!! The food was so yummy would recommend the Nachos with the extra chicken YUM!! Our table was late to be ready for us so we got a free shot each which was so thoughtful! And then we moved inside as got cold and Dani was so helpful! Also the General Manager of outside was a lovely lady I forgot her name but she was so great so I would really like to thank all the staff for being so fab! No request was too much!! Had such a lovely evening here last night! 6 of us met up in the outdoor restaurant/bar and everything from the decor to the drinks and food to the staff was delightful! Can’t wait to come back!

Ojo Rojo is amazing, our server Charlie was so friendly and helpful with my allergies. They are super allergen safe and vegan friendly too. Our favourite thing on the menu is the pork belly tacos, but everything is great and we will definitely be returning!

First time there and I'm defenetly coming back!! Great service from the start and the food is just fantastic! Couldn't believe how many flavours they can put in a little taco! Absolutely delicious!

Had an amazing first night out back after lockdown no.2 trevor and siobhan were so friendly and made us feel really welcome. There was an incident that happened here tonight and they dealt with it in the most professional way. I will definitely be coming back here. The best customer service i have received! Definitely recommend. And please ask for these staff members!!!

The night started with a Margarita which was perfect. We ordered food which we thoroughly enjoyed. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly; Rhys put up with questions about recipes and recommendations etc. Fabulous member of staff. Would we go there again? Absolutely.

The service was outstanding. Everything was carefully explained to me as a newcomer to Mexican Street Food, with a slant on 'how to maximize enjoyment'. We were a group of 6 for a birthday celebration, and I had brought along a cake and candles, and I half expected them to say with the current situation it wouldn't be possible, but Dani the lovely gentle lady who was serving us did the cake beautifully. The food itself was absolutely delicious, and even though I am clearly no expert, the bottom line is, I will definitely return to this wonderful place.

We were a group of 4 family members meeting up for a catch up. We had booked in advance and were welcomed on arrival and shown to our table via the hand sanitiser station. As with tapas type food the portions were fairly small so several various selections were ordered and they were excellent. Unfortunately the bottled beer order by one of the party was 3 months past its sell by date and we hadn't noticed until he stated that it tasted odd. The severer apologised and, after saying he wasn't surprised, criticised the bar staff. After finishing the meal and checking that we weren't charged for the dodgy beer we left and had our second course at Sprinkles as the sweet menu was rather uninspired.

Vibrant and chillingly from the start we were looked after from Caitlin who walked us through what we needed to know excellent service and very knowledgeable. We feel in love with tequila again we had four different cocktails between us lovely.The food was delicious nachos excellent sweet potato fries hot and the dip very tasty we had a massive dish of re fried beans bursting with different flavours.Dessert was delicious and very sweet a cross between churros and waffle an excellent experience so glad we booked

Was in the triangle at Bournemouth and was wanting something to eat, yet nothing really caught my eye.Then stumbled across Ojo Rojo whilst wanting out of the pouring rain and went in.Wanted to leave again when I saw the menu as nothing really appealed but my friend wanted to stay.Glad we did stay - The food was so flavorsome, service was attentative, the decor and ambiance was spot on.They take covid protection seriously and we felt welcomed, protected and well fed.Would love to return on a warm dry night to eat outside.Well worth giving it a try.

The food here is amazing every time, especially the nachos. They have done a great job making it covid secure with lots of space, well trained and friendly staff. It’s a great atmosphere and they do the best cocktails.

Not an extensive menu, but very tasty food. Don't expect a 'knife and fork' dining experience. Food served as it's ready. Nachos very good. Margarita with a chilli rim, well worth a try. Felt safe in this Covid world.

This is the right place to go if you enjoy a lovely, friendly, warm ambiance and terrific, freshly prepared Mexican food. Scrumptious. As has been said before the pork belly tacos are succulent but the chicken ones are even nicer. No wonder it’s so popular here. The tequila cocktails aren’t half bad here either. We’d recommend them all!!! Lovely staff and a special mention to Rhys, our waiter for the evening. He nails customer service to perfection. Friendly, knowledgeable and attentive without being overbearing. Salud!

Went for a light meal and catch up with some friends. We had a lovely time, food was delicious and the cocktails were even better. Staff were excellent and managing the Covid restrictions really well. Only thing is - I wish we’d asked how to pronounce Ojo Rojo - we couldn’t agree!

Absolutely love this place. Most amazing vibe, sat on the terrace had a few drink and a few sharing dishes. The best Mexican I've eaten outside Puerto Vallarta. Lovely staff, fantastic atmosphere. We were only here for a few days but we're 100% coming back... And we want to visit on a Saturday night. I heard its awesome lol. Well done!

Really lovely service but think the food could have been better. We have been to many similar places before i.e street food style, and although the food was lovely (nothing wrong with how it was cooked) it didn’t really live up to our expectations. Despite this, the service was excellent and the cocktails are also lovely! Would still recommend if you haven’t been somewhere similar before/ aren’t avid street food lovers.

Went with a friend on a colder evening, the outdoor space had a nice ambience, ample space, and was warm despite the weather. Ojo Rojo offered us hand sanitiser, runs contact tracing, but no table service. A glass of white sangria, while not strongly alcoholic, was pleasant. Fish tacos were tasty, though don’t expect to order just one dish alone, they’re more as a snack. If you want something more substantial go for the nachos. The cocktail menu, a bit pricey for the town centre, had many exotic options that will entice many to come back.

My husband and I had a fabulous evening at Ojo Rojo. From the moment we arrived we felt welcome and very much at ease. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The food was amazing, the choice of beverages plentiful and the atmosphere pleasant. We will definitely visit again when we come back to Dorset to visit family and would 100% recommend the restaurant for a really nice night out. Loved it.

Great food, all very fresh and tasty. The pork tacos and chicken wings were the best - crispy and full of flavour. The cocktails were also really good - bartenders ketchup was our favourite. Service was really efficient and quick, couldn’t fault it. Would definitely return if in the area again.

Had a fantastic evening out on the Hacienda terrace. Great service at the bar, friendly waiting staff and delicious tasting food. Quality more than quantity on the portions but that was perfect for us and made it even more enjoyable. Fabulous.

We arrived at the venue without a booking to find a line, suggesting that the joint is quite popular. After waiting for a few minutes, we were escorted to a high-table. The place was packed, however with a bit of distance between each table/group. We found the interior decoration to be fairly eclectic and interesting. We ordered two cocktails - both were uniquely named and refreshing. The food was fresh and delicious - hitting the perfect spot after a long day of roaming around the city. We ordered the Prawn lollipops and Chicken Tinga tacos which were lush; complimenting those with the Rojo guac - the promogranate mixed with the lime was a great touch. To end the meal, we ordered the Rojo Brownie. Personally we thought it could have been more moist but it wasn't too bad! We would recommend Ojo Rojo to anyone looking for Mexican or Tapas in Bournemouth.

Waitiled an hour and haft for a drinks order then ordered food, was incredible small portion for 8 pounds of three tacos... I will be extremely honest with you.... I've work in Bar and restaurant for five years now and this is bad... I should of demand a refund. I will never go again they just con you for this type of bad service drinks and food that you'll have too wait at least an hour and haft for.... Their are much better places too go within Bournemouth then this place.... Don't waste your time and money on th we cowboys...

On Aug 13, our family enjoyed a lovely meal at Ojo Rojo. We tried almost all items on the menu and we enjoyed everything. We also tried some of the cocktails which we also enjoyed. We would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Really good tapas, dare I say better than Wahaca. Surprising combinations which work really well. Highly recommended.

We came to Bournemouth for a night & was searching for lunch venues on tripadvisor. I’m so happy we came across this gem! Just a short walk from the seafront, we were welcomed by a polite waitress who explained the menus and tapas sizes.We ordered pork belly tacos, guacamole & nachos. The pork belly was INSANELY good, you know it’s tasty when you keep saying ‘hmmm’ as you’re eating it!The guacamole & nachos were presented really nicely & tasted just as good! You could tell you were eating good quality food, which is important when it comes to Mexican.If we lived closer, I’d be here weekly. We’ve been to Mexico twice before and the food here was better. Do not hesitate to book as you won’t be disappointed!

Stumbled across this beautiful bar by accident, what a find! Beautiful setting, sat on the roof terrace, very chilled out, stylish, relaxed, great music and the food and drinks were wonderful. However on top of all of the great venue the staff were phenomenal, nothing was too much trouble and they did everything they could to help. Visit this bar it’s truly fabulous

We booked ahead and had a great visit. So pleased we booked as I can imagine this place gets busy. We visited not too long following the ease in lock down and they managed everything perfectly. Our server Daniella was lovely, attentive and friendly. The food was excellent, quite a different experience - the decor is also fab and fun. We probably ordered too much - most dishes can feed 2 - order a couple and share :-)

I'd heard rave reviews from multiple friends, and now I know why - had a terrific evening meal last night, can't wait to visit again :)We were served by a young gent named Alex, who made us feel instantly welcome, which added to the chill, casual nature of the meal. He was calm and friendly the entire time, even while dealing with multiple tables and requests at the same time.Loved the QR code menus, btw - very modern, and really sensible these days!

Lovely food matched with great service. There are codes to scan to get the menu and the staff were very clear on how it work and the best way to order. We ordered a couple of dishes as we went and really enjoyed all of them...especially the pork tacos and the chuffle (dessert). The staff were really attentive and took time to talk to us about the dishes and future menu changes. Felt very safe regarding social distancing and the outside area is a great addition to the restaurant.

Amazing food and amazing service. Sometimes find tasty vegan food difficult to find but couldn’t recommend this place enough. Social distancing was well observed and the staff wore masks and offered a ‘drop off/pick up’ zone for dishes to avoid touching as much as possible.

Arrived with my girlfriend and her friends with no pre-booking. Our waitress Caitlin kindly asked us to wait outside while she could arrange something. A few minutes later she grabbed us and arranged a table in the new outdoor space, keeping us a safe distance from the next group.The new outdoor space is stunning really adding to the experience. We ordered a variety of cocktails which were unbelievable and well presented, my girlfriend had the pork belly tacos and prawn lollipops - WOW! Cant wait to go back, highly recommended! We enjoyed drinks and tapas this afternoon with friendsly, in a superbly well managed and safe environment. It was lovely to get back to socialising with friends in a safe manager and the cocktails were out of this world! The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and attentive and I really can't find fault! After months off due to lockdown I was extremely impressed with this place! The outside area was a grate addition to the venue. I had what I alway have the pork belly tacos and tried the prawn lollipops and wings. And I can say it was delicious food was fresh and flavoursome. The passion fruit was possibly the best hot sauce I’ve eaten. I personally think this is the best Mexican food I’ve ever eaten! Thank the heavens that Ojo Rojo survived covid.

I went for lunch today at Ojo Rojo, and we were seated in their new outside area. On entering the restaurant, their front of house manager Caitlin introduced herself and talked us through all their Covid-19 alterations, so we knew exactly how things were working and felt completely comfortable with the new safety measures to ensure our experience was as enjoyable and relaxed as possible. The food was as good as I have always experienced here, the cocktails were excellent and the waiting staff are all excellently trained to answer any questions and ensure that you have a comfortable and enjoyable Experience. So happy to be able to eat at such a great restaurant again, well done team, you’re smashing it

So pleased to finally have you guys open again. Really lovely outside area which was a great surprise. Staff also did really well for the first night of opening. We went for dinner on Saturday night and came back Sunday for drinks and tacos outside. Amazing job guys

Visited tonight after months of being in lockdown. Totally disappointed. Awful service, had to ask for drinks twice. Food arrived Cold, bland and extremely boring. Worst Mexican food i've ever had. It appears the menu has been cut in half too. Very small menu. We had the prawn lollipops which were frozen, rubbery and tasteless. Tacos were tasteless. Waitress came over to clear plates and asked if food was OK. I told her it wasn't and she said sorry but still brought back a full bill. Didn't offer to make it right. I had to ask for Manager. Took 2 drinks off the bill and offered 25% off next visit. NO THANKS. Will never return and will tell friends to AVOID!

Found this restaurant by chance and it was so nice we came back the next day. The food was fresh and delicious. We had chicken tacos, nachos, halloumi and every dish was great. We also tried the sangria which was really nice.We had a fantastic waitress, although unfortunately I can't remember her name. She was so friendly and advised us on nice dishes to order and how much to order. She also wrote us a list of recommendations for bars and places to visit while we were in Bournemouth which was really lovely and very appreciated. The food is amazing and the decor is also really nice and cosy. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Bournemouth. Great for couples too.

We visited the weekend before the country started to go into lockdown due to Covid-19. On entry we all had to use hand sanitiser which was reassuring. The restaurant had a great atmosphere with a couple of parties on the first floor. The food was lovely and plentiful for the two of us and the staff were very friendly. I would give the experience a 5 if it wasn’t for the staff being completely overstretched. We had a mishap because our order wasn’t put through the system and it took almost an hour until our server realised and then reordered our food. Afterwards it arrived quite quickly we were offered a slight discount. I would definitely return again for the food; the restaurant just needs more staff.

I’ve been here a few times. The food is absolutely ace, there is so many options. The vegan food here is super nice.It’s great for breakfast lunch and dinner and caters for everyone.Breakfast here really has been a hard one to beat. The food is presented well and is served quickly- portion sizes are generous.The drinks there are great, with so many high end tequilas good choose from. The staff are all friendly and seem super knowledgeable.The decor is really quirky and you can tell they care about the establishment.

Popped in with some friends for lunch yesterday and we were all blown away by the quality of the food. Our waitress explained the menu really well as it was the first time any of us had visited and we opted for the shared nachos and two different types of tacos. IT WAS ALL AMAZING and tasted really fresh. Good value for money. Definitely recommend this place!

My partner and I came across this restaurant on a visit to Bournemouth and popped in for dinner. Oh my god. This is amongst the best meal we have ever had. We are very hungry having not eaten all day and when we chose the menu for 2 at £15 pp, we were a little concerned there may not be enough food for us. We were so wrong! The food kept on coming and we couldn't finish it-and we can really eat! We had the chicken taco, halloumi taco, the guac dip with flatbread, the mushroom and cheese melt and sweet potato fries. We were astounded by how good the food was and are gutted that it is not a restaurant we can visit elsewhere. We will be returning to Bournemouth just to eat here. Lastly, there was 25% off house drinks as well!! Could it get any better? So we had a bottle of house red wine. Thanks for an amazing meal.

We had a table on the first floor where it was very busy with a large group when we arrived. We were asked for our drinks order straight away and the waiter was very helpful with the selection of cocktails. The drinks were a little slow being delivered, but in the meantime our food order was taken by another very pleasant and helpful waiter. We had a bit of a wait, as the large party was being served with their food. However, we were not in a rush, so we sat and enjoyed our cocktail. Then the waiter came over to announce that the food order had been 'lost' so we had to re-order and wait again. I decided to order a glass of wine as I had finished my very delicious cocktail! He said that would be on the house in view of the wait for our meal. When the food was delivered it didn't arrive altogether, as we'd ordered several dishes as a tapas style meal. But it was all delicious and well worth waiting for.

A small group of us went to Ojo Rojos for the first time last weekend. My wife and I are not particularly experienced when it comes to Mexican food and not keen on very spicy food. Other members of the group had different preferences from mild to quite spicy. None of us need have worried, there was something for everyone. Food is cooked and brought out in a fairly haphazard way, there are no starters or mains as such, a bit like tapas. However, it works really well and for the most part we all had something on our plates to eat. No one was disappointed, everyone enjoyed their dishes.I have never tried Nachos before and really didn't know what to expect but the description sounded good, especially with added (shredded) chicken. This comes in small or large, you would need the appetite of a Labrador to eat a large portion, small was a seriously challenging helping! I loved it, the chicken was amazingly tasty. My wife had a salad and chicken wings, and loved those also. We shared a chuffle, a hybrid of churros and waffle, which came with lashings of caramel. This topped off the evening nicely.Wonderful atmosphere with friendly, helpful and non-pushy staff.Highly recommended.

We went for an early dinner with our two little boys on a Friday. It was a hit with all of us. A great kids menu and felt so welcoming. All the food was all fantastic and that’s saying something with fussy kids, a vegan and a meat eater. The Vegan Nachos were amazing. Great advice on drinks from the really interesting and extensive drinks menu. It felt like a really special meal out at a really reasonable price. Wish we lived nearer!

Went there with a group of around 18 - had the tasting menu dinner, and the food was really excellent, with top notch service, especially considering the size of the table. The real standout for me was the cocktail menu, as there were a ton of interesting options, and everything I had was great. Definitely worth a detour if you enjoy Mexican food and tequila/mexcal based cocktails.

From the moment we walked in made to feel so welcome. We were seated upstairs and the decor is lovely. Our waiter was Mike who was so knowledgeable and friendly. We had the set menu at £22pp and food was lovely and so much of it. Overall excellent experience.

Great social place with different events on each evening and DJs. Good selection of drinks, bit limited on food but tasty none the less. Good for a fun night out.

Food is superb. Service is good and very friendly. Drinks are a little on the expensive side but are great. Fun atmosphere.

Went for a meal for my sons birthday, the staff were very nice, and looked after us a soon as went entered the door.

Great atmosphere and friendly service. Staff happy to go through the menu and make recommendations if unsure. Music and atmosphere was great for dinner with friends. Food portions are generous and tasty.

Went in as a couple for early saturday lunch, knowing it would be relatively quiet at this time and we could hopefully have a nice private lunch.

As always the food was great...we had our first playe just 10 mins after ordering. Our last plates finally came over an hour and a half after ordering. We had to remind 2 separate members of staff who said they forgotten our order. These were removed from the bill however didnt make up for the poor experience.

From the minute we walked in the authentic Mexican atmosphere was great. 4 of us had lunch, one was a pescatarian. We ordered Prawn Lollipops, Wings, Fish Baja Tacos, Sharing Nachos, Pork Belly Tacos, Chicken Wrap and Fish Wrap. All were fantastic, particularly the Prawn Lollipops! Our waitress was polite and efficient. My daughter had an ‘A List’ card from Bournemouth University which gave us a 30% discount providing that she prebooked a table. We will definitely return!

Walked past Ojo Rojo when in Bournemouth last Christmas and thought that when we are back we will give it a try.
