Yet another pub that doesn't know the difference between time and last orders! Told they were closing at 10, rang the bell at 9.45 and then told they were closed. Its not difficult!

A highlight of bringing my family on a visit to Redcar was to come to O'Gradys restaurant for a Saturday night meal. Eight of us all agreed it was a huge success. The staff, the home cooked meals we were served and the prices, they all earned five stars. From booking on the phone onwards they were welcoming. A great atmosphere in this traditional Irish themed pub- hotel is helped by authentic vintage lighting, plenty of it, and the many curios and cheeky messages and pictures on the walls and doors .... even in the loos! Loved the experience and particularly the food. Mushroom Stroganoff (for vegans/veggies) was super tasty. The burgers, fish dishes, fat tasty chips followed by yummy desserts like Oreo Sundae for the children - everything was perfect for us. Thank you O'Gradys. Daria looked after us very well and so did the bar staff.

Went to celebrate a birthday. Asked how the food was, gave honest feedback...lasagne had no mince in and was dry. The mince and dumplings: dumplings were hard/inedible and little mince with not much flavour. The rest of the party enjoyed their chosen dishes. We were asked if we wanted a replacement but we were a bit put off so didn't bother. With the kids meal, we weren't given the ice cream or the cordial that comes with it. When paying the bill asked if the cost of lasagne could be took off, was told that because the 'chef' julie had offered to replace it then they couldn't take it off the bill. My family are well known and visit often and usually have no complaints so this was disappointing 😕 *EDIT to respond - I'm not sure if you have us confused with another party. There was no abusive language used. We were very respectful to staff. We responded when we were asked how the food was, in a lighthearted way. When the cost of the food couldn't be took off the bill, we said no bother and just that we'd mention it to you should we return one day. We actually said that the rest of the food was OK to the waitress, it was just those other dishes as mentioned above. Not sure what version of these events you have been told.

Good all-round hotel. Rooms clean with comfortable bed. fresh sheets and towels. Pub & dining hall serves delicious food. Toilets were clean and fresh. Would defo stay again.

Meals were very good , we were on the third floor pity there wasn't a lift , entertainment good as well

We called in for a Parmo platter! 3 Parmo's of your choice for £20! Was delicious! Atmosphere was good an drinks were reasonably priced too!! We weren't staying in hotel hence no stars for the rooms.

A nice pub most of the staff are nice the only criticism I have is that when you are waiting for your food or when you get your food the people who bring it they could have a smile they go round looking miserable apart from that it is a lovely pub

Great friendly staff and atmosphere and the food is excellent

Ever since they became dog friendly we have been going on a regular basis when we are in Redcar. We called in yesterday for food I had the ploughman’s lunch at first I was a little confused on how long it took to come until I was informed the chef cooks her own scotch eggs to order. The photo does her some justice but I can honestly say the best ploughman’s I have had for many years, my wife hat the spicy parmo which again was excellent. The pub itself is awesome the decor has to be seen to be appreciated. Staff very friendly and accommodating . Well stocked bar and food and alcohol prices very reasonable. Plus side they have set aside an area for dogs. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Just want to say what amazing service and food we had today. Cannot fault the staff who were so attentive to our group of 22 people that’s the bar and service staff they were brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble our food once ordered 🤭 came quickly hot and top notch nobody was missed off. The children were free to have a run around after the food and no complaints were made. You really did make my grandmas 87th birthday the best it could have been she was over the moon. Thank you all 🩷

One of the best food in Redcar , have had ordered so many different food and all of them were delicious, I highly recommend the place as a price is amazing as well, and the staff are super nice, and big THANKS to the owners who always welcome everyone

Went for the first time on St Patrick's day to see the Squad play.... Thoroughly enjoyed watching the band in a very spacious tastefully styled bar area... Good service and would go again...

Went for Mother's day .food was great I just wish they would put all the veg on your plate instead of putting it in bowls and having to share with people because you feel cheeky to ask for more.

Called in today for a few beers and to watch the match between Man United v Man City and great atmosphere ! Staff are great and very friendly ! Decided to have the Sunday Roast, which was excellent quality and great value for money !! Portions are just right and the Apple Pie & Custard was, as good, as my mothers !!!!

Noticed today if you eat in the restaurant and not the bar your portions are a lot smaller. Your veg/mash comes on a dish to share so there's hardly any. Only x2 roast potatoes I've never seen that anywhere. My food was not as good as usual in the restaurant. The head chef wasn't understanding either and argumentive. I don't need to come back anyway. Dots Cafe Auction Mart near Darlington does the best Sunday dinners anyway

This is by far the BEST Sunday lunch I have ever had. Seriously the Beef was just incredible, vegetables fresh, service friendly and atmosphere lovely. We eat out a lot locally and I am lucky enough to eat out a lot with work throughout the country and this is hands down the clear winner. Still full and it’s 9pm! Can’t praise it high enough. Well done team you’ve nailed it!!!!

Popped in as it was the only natural pub in the area. The rest were wine or gin bars. Great friendly staff and the food was good and well presented. Real ale first class.

Second visit to O'Gradys for something to eat whilst visiting family who live in Redcar Lovely inside, great service and food is always great. Great choice of food, generous portions, expected to wait a long time for food due to it being a Saturday afternoon but didn't have to wait long at all Highly recommend the Chicken Parmo, it was delicious

Popped in for food which is usually lovely .... I was wrong ! Found a long hair in the main ... informed staff who offered a desert to make up for me swallowing and having to pull the hair from my throat Staff even admitted that the hair was from the kitchen staff . I will not be eating in the place again .

Bad customer service at the bar .the bar man was very unprofessional service every one around me. Wouldn't make eye contact not sure if he wanted me to shout or wave my hands ended up having a argument with my brother as he couldn't understand why I wasn't getting service they was 5 of us down for the racing it was busy. But no excuse for the service will not go back there again. And the racing club has knocked it of the place to go. They have lost a lot of money. As we have a lot of members. It was Saturday 7th October. Around 9.30.but I could be wrong with the time thanks

Great menu, pleasant atmosphere, cool décor

We went for a meal for my birthday, very nice food and good value

Was involved with a band that sang in here over the August bank holiday and it made for a great atmosphere. Helped myself to some of the lovely buffet food that was very kindly put on for them (thank you) and as a big horse racing fan I was loving the various pictures and memorabilia that was on the walls. Good night all round.
